Alternate ending for the Merlin finale, 5x13 (The Diamond of the Day Pt 2). Focus on Merlin's POV and his emotions in the aftermath of things; trying to tie up ends the show left hanging loose and to provide a more satisfactory, unrushed conclusion than what the writers gave us. UPDATED: MAY 2018. His magic is positively screaming, unable to withstand the thought of Arthur being hurt, of failing to keep him safe. He knows the consequences, but he won't be able to live with himself if Arthur gets tortured because of him. Not if he can stop it. Hurt!Merlin, Gen, H/C.

With Merlin and Morgana safely in Drugonia, the preparations for their wedding can begin. Back in Camelot, Arthur is getting ready for his trip to Drugonia to bring Morgana back safely. Trees in Camelot lost their branches all the time, it was almost like Autumn but instead of leaves falling it was branches. Gwaine is convinced that the trees in Camelot are their allies, why else would they only drop their branches on the enemies heads.
