Arizona had trouble sleeping. She was both nervous and excited to be hanging out with Callie, but she had this horrible felling that Callie was going to stand her up. She really just wanted to show Callie that good people exist. Arizona made her way to the bathroom, she needed to get ready, she was running behind.

The blonde quickly showered and got ready. It was surprisingly a very warm day in Seattle, so she put on some black jean shorts and bright blue cropped tank top, she went with some white high top platform converse. She looked cute but she was still comfortable in the end. She put her hair up in a cute messy bun and she decided against makeup today, she wanted something laid back and not too in your face. She wanted Callie to see the real her.

"Arizona" Barbara called upstairs to her daughter "There is someone here to see you"

Arizona was confused, as far as she knew no one knew where she lived. She grabbed her phone and ran downstairs. She rounded the corner and was met face to face with none other than Callie.

"She said the two of you had plans" Barbara said with a knowing smirk. She knew how much this meant to her daughter.

"Callie" Arizona said with a smile "How did you figure out where I lived?" Arizona asked as she grabbed her car keys and her wallet. She turned to face her mom "mom. can you put like one hundred on my card? I want to be able to treat Callie to an awesome day for showing me around" Arizona said as she looked at Callie and gave her a wink.

"I've got it" Callie said softly "I am the one showing you around, right? It only makes sense that I pay, also, I was walking, and I saw your jeep, figured it would save me the trip of walking all the way to the school, is that weird? Do you want to cancel? Please don't tell the whole school" Callie said as she rushed out the front door. She felt so stupid.

Barbara watched the scene in front of her and her heart broke at the sight. She looked over at her daughter who was just standing there in shock "ARIZONA" Barbara all but shouted at the teen. When Arizona looked over at her wide-eyed Barbara spoke again "Well, go after her"

Arizona grabbed everything she needed and ran out the door "CALLIE" Arizona yelled; the brunette was incredibly fast; Arizona was fit but not fit enough to be chasing someone a mile down the road "CALLIE PLEASE, I AM NOT AS FAST AS YOU" Arizona said. She had to stop running and place her hands on her knees and try to catch her breath. The blonde looked up and saw that Callie had finally stopped running and she was actually walking back to where Arizona was now trying to breathe. Once she saw the brunette stop in front of her, she stood up straight, still trying to catch her breath "You...You're so fast" Arizona said with a chuckle. She looked into those deep brown eyes and could tell that the brunette in front of her was barley breaking a sweat let alone struggling to catch her breath "How are you not sweating?" Arizona asked with a crooked smile.

Callie just shrugged. But the answer was simple, Callie was a runner, she ran almost every morning before school and sometimes every evening when she got home. She would connect her air pods and put on her favorite crime podcast and just run until the episode was over, it really helped clear her mind and helped her forget how everyone at school hated her for on freaking reason.

"Okay, well, before you so rudely ran away from me, i was going to say that I don't find it weird at all. I find it sweet" Arizona said with a smile.

"Sweet?" Callie asked, sounding shocked.

Arizona smiled "Yes, sweet. It's sweet that you remembered what my car looked like and it's sweet that you came to me, it was all very sweet" Arizona said "So please don't run away again because there is no way that I can keep up"

Callie nodded in understanding. This was all very new to her. People being nice to her and everything, she wasn't used to it. She was still guarded but something inside of her wanted to trust the blonde, but she just couldn't.

"So, do you want to walk back to my car, and we can get the day started?" Arizona asked, hopeful that Callie hadn't changed her mind.

"Uh, yeah sure, or I live right here" Callie said and pointed to the huge, gated house that was more like a mansion, but not even, it looked more like a castle "I can drive us around since you don't really know where you are going?"

Arizona stood there with her mouth hung open, she had wondered since she moved to Seattle who lived in the house. She didn't actually think people had money like that. Callie was becoming even more mysterious "Who are you Callie Torres" Arizona said. She really thought she had said that in her head but judging by the look on Callies face it told her otherwise "I said that out loud, didn't I?" Arizona said, her cheeks starting to turn a shade of red out of pure embarrassment.

Callie gave the blonde a small smile and nodded her head "So, did you want to come in?" Callie asked as she walked up to the gate, putting in a code.

Arizona nodded and followed Callie through the gates as they opened, she was in awe, it was even bigger on the other side of the gates "Callie, this is amazing, what do your parents do?" Arizona asked, she didn't know if the question was too intrusive "You don't have to answer that, I'm sorry" Arizona said.

"The hotel business, my dad owns a large chain of hotels both state side and oversees" Callie said, "And mom is a criminal attorney" Callie opened the door and was met with their house maid "Hi Poppy" Callie said with a smile.

"Hello, Callie" Poppy said with a smile. She was in her late sixties and had beautiful red hair with just enough grey hair to age her but not by much. She had been with the family since Callie was born and Callie had found a good friend within her "And who is this" Poppy asked with a smile. In all the years the redhead had known Callie she has not once brought anyone home, so, this was new, and it made her heart swell at the sight.

"Uh, this is my fri..." Callie started to say 'friend' but she wasn't even sure her and Arizona were friends "This is Arizona"

"I'm her friend, Arizona" Arizona said with a smile, she turned to look at Callie and winked "It's nice to meet you"

"What are you girls up to today?" Poppy asked, she liked the blonde "Would you like me to make you guys something to eat?"

Callie looked at Arizona for the answer, she didn't care either way, if the ate at her house or if they went out to eat "Uh, we are good. I'm going to take Arizona out for lunch, thank you though" Callie said with a smile. She turned to face the blonde "Uh, you can follow me to the garage"

It was weird for Arizona to see how confident Callie was when speaking to Poppy and how shy and timid the brunette got when speaking with her. Deep down she knew it was because she needed to earn Callie's trust but at least she knew that Callie was a normal person who WAS capable of emotions, you know because people at their school tried to say otherwise.

Arizona followed Callie through the house and saw all of the artwork that was perfectly placed. The house was amazing, it was something that Arizona has never seen, she had so much to learn about Callie and she was excited for the wild ride that was going to be uncovering who Callie was. Once in the garage Arizona almost lost her breath. It was a ten-car garage that had to have been the size of her house, it was insane, so many foreign cars and so many luxury cars and Arizona had no clue which car was Callie's, but she was excited to find out "Okay Callie, this has to be some sick joke, who did you pay to let you in their house? Because there is no way you live here" Arizona said as she ran over to the beautiful cars, she wanted to badly to touch them, but she had no clue if that was even allowed, it literally looked like a car sales floor.

Callie smiled at the blonde, she was never used to people being around her and actually enjoying her company, it was a nice change of pace and something the brunette could get used to. Callie then grabbed the keys to her car, a jet-black Dodge Challenger, a complete change of pace of what people would think she would drive but she loved the car, and it was her first car, since then her father has bought her a few more but this was the car that Callie drove the most and she liked that no one at her school knew it was her while she was driving along the streets of Seattle.

"This...This is your car?" Arizona said with a smile as she practically skipped over to Callie and the car "It's nice" Arizona said as she opened the car door, but before she could even get in Callie yelled at her to stop. Arizona stopped dead in her tracks and looked at the brunette wide eyed. She had no idea what she did wrong, but she was worried "What? What did I do?" Arizona asked.

Callie took a deep breath "Could...Could you please wipe your feet three times before getting in?" Callie asked in a hushed voice. She was nervous that Arizona was going to think she was weird "It's just, it's my weird superstition. It helps put my mind at ease, I can't explain it and I understand if you want to leave because I am too weird or crazy...I'm sorry" Callie said as she looked down at her feet.

"Callie, you really have to stop doubting not only yourself but me" Arizona said as she wiped her feet "If this is something you need then I am more than happy to do it. I promise Callie, I am not the kids at school, and I hope soon you will realize that" Arizona said with a smile. Once she was done doing what Callie asked, she slipped into the car and buckled in.

Callie nodded her head, wiped her feet and got in the car. She opened the garage and turned her car on.

"So, where to first tour guide?" Arizona asked as she clapped her hands together like an excited toddler "But I really am hungry so maybe we can start with some brunch?" Arizona asked hopeful "In a city like this there has to be a good brunch place around here"

"Yeah, there is" Callie said as she pulled out of the garage and waited for the gate to open before pulling out onto the main road "But so many kids from our school go there and I would hate for them to see you with me" Callie said sadly. She wasn't trying to put herself down all the time but when your only interactions with kids your age are horrible, and they are mean to you constantly it's hard to believe that anyone would actually want to be her friend.

Arizona felt bad, this poor girl next to her has been through so much that she can't even believe that someone wants to be her friend. Arizona questioned if she was trying to be friends with Callie for the right reasons. She always was one to do what others told her not to, so, was she doing it because everyone told her not to? Or was she doing it because she knew Callie needed a friend and she's a pretty damn good friend if you do ask her "Callie, I don't care, I am your friend and I don't care who knows that, I don't care what anyone at our school has to say about it" Arizona said with a smile "So, if this place is really the best brunch place then I would really love to go to it" Arizona said. She nodded her head in triumph as she focused her eyes on the sights in front of her. When she really looked around Seattle was actually really beautiful, she really did enjoy living here.

About ten minutes later and the pair had pulled into the famous brunch place, it was so famous that it was literally called 'Brunch'. Arizona looked at the name and couldn't help but laugh "Oh my gosh, this place is literally called brunch, you've got to be kidding me" Arizona slipped out of the car and waited for her brunette counterpart. When she saw that Callie was not getting out of the car, she opened the door and looked at Callie "What's wrong?" Arizona asked in a soft voice. A voice of knowing. She knew this was hard for Callie and she hated that the girl in front of her had so much doubt when it came to her.

"I...I just don't want people to make fun of you" Callie said. She was wiping her palms on her jeans, a nervous tick she picked up "You are literally the definition of sunshine, I would never want anyone to take that away" Callie said. She was trying, trying harder than she had ever tried before "And, and everyone already hates me, simply because I don't fit the narrative of their lives, I mean, I'm weird I know that but you have one mental break down because your life is falling apart and everyone just sticks with it and I mean you have a small case of OCD and people run with that as well" Callie said, this is the most she has ever opened up with anyone and she could honestly admit it felt good "And then when I was finally happy with where my life was at, with people making fun of me and all, I was finally able to shut them out but then you come, you come and burst yourself right into my little bubble and it's nice, nice to know that someone actually wants to be my friend and isn't scared by the rumors they hear but it's hard for me" Callie said as she finally looked at Arizona, she really expected the blonde to have run away by now.

Arizona softly sighed. She took a look around and she did see many kids from school there. She slowly got back in the car and turned as best she could to look at Callie "Thank you for sharing all of that with me" Arizona said, she wanted to reach out and grab the girl and pull her in for a bone crushing hug, but she didn't know the other girls limits and she didn't' want to test them today, so she settled for grabbing Callie's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze "We don't have to eat here Callie, I don't care, this day was about me and you" Arizona said with a smile "We can do whatever you want, honestly I am fine with grabbing a bunch of junk food and going back to my place and watching tv or movies all day, you could even stay the night if you wanted" Arizona said with a happy nod.

Callie let out a deep breath that she didn't even know she was holding. She gave the blonde who sat across from her a nod and turned the car back on "Can we do that, please?" Callie asked as she turned onto the interstate "I have never stayed the night at someone's house before, I think it'll be nice" Callie said as she made her way home. The drive was short and sweet, but the company was nice.

As they pulled up to Callie's house Arizona sent a quick text to her brother Tim to put the Xbox in her room so her and Callie could play games "Should I wait in here while you get some stuff?" Arizona asked.

"No, because I have no idea what I am supposed to pack" Callie said. She was trying not to be too excited, but she was doing a happy dance internally.

Callie led the two of them down into the basement where Callies room was housed. Her room was huge, and Arizona couldn't help but be in awe, she didn't know the brunette that well, but the room was very her. It was painted a nice grey, with lights hung up everywhere, both fairy lights and LED lights. She had a large bed centered in this little window nook and on the other side of her room was a little living room type area, it had an l-shaped couch, a large tv mounted on the wall and a coffee table, this place looked like a nice studio apartment "Callie, this room is amazing, I am so jealous" Arizona said as she still looked around in awe.

"Thanks" Callie said as she looked at Arizona "So what exactly does one pack to stay over at someone's house?" Callie asked as she went into her walk-in closet to grab a small Nike duffel bag.

Arizona smiled "Well, for starters, pajamas" Arizona said as she sat down at Callie's desk chair "Then some clothes for the next day, all your toiletries, phone charger, pillow and blanket, even though we have enough just in case you aren't comfortable using my stuff and want your own and then of course bring yourself" Arizona finished.

Callie nodded her head and started to run around her room and bathroom grabbing everything she needed, her nerves were kicking in as she finished packing her bag. Once fully done she looked at Arizona who was nose deep in her phone and she let out a cough to get her attention "Uh, done"

"Okay, perfect" Arizona said "Did you tell your parents?" Arizona asked

Callie shook her head no "My mom should be in her office; I'll go ask her really quick" Callie said. Callie walked out of her room and upstairs to the second floor where all the offices where housed, she realized Arizona didn't follow her, she needed the blonde there, otherwise there was no way her mom was going to believe her. So, with that Callie walked all the way back downstairs and grabbed the blonde, who she found was taking selfies in her room "Uh, are you coming?" Callie asked with a sheepish grin "Or are you having too much fun with your photoshoot"

Arizona let out a loud laugh, that was the first time the blonde has heard Callie crack a joke "Did the Callie Torres just crack a joke" Arizona said as she slipped her phone in her back pocket and followed Callie out of the room.

Callie just smiled and shook her head as she led the both of them to her mother's office. She gently knocked on the door and waited for her mother's okay to open the door. Callie slowly opened the door and smiled at her mom. She and her mother had a really great relationship, well, kind of, their relationship was hard to explain but it was good nonetheless "Hola mama" Callie said "Uh, I was going to ask if it would be okay to stay over at a friend's house?"

Lucia looked up from her desk with a smile "A friend's house?" She asked confused. Not once has she ever heard her daughter mention a friend and it honestly broke her heart, she knew of the bullying that went on at her daughter's school and she has tried countless times to homeschool her daughter, but Callie didn't want that, she said it made her seem weak and Callie Torres was anything but weak.

"Yeah, a friend's house" Callie said as she pointed to the blonde who was stood behind her "That's Arizona, she invited me over" Callie said.

Lucia stood up and walked over to the pair who had now occupied her office. She stood in front of the blonde and looked at her skeptical "Can I speak with you alone?" She asked the blonde.

Arizona looked at Callie then back at Callie's mother, she was nervous, but she slowly nodded. Callie knew what was coming and she whispered to Arizona that all was going to be okay. Once alone Lucia had told the blonde to sit down, so, Arizona sat.

"Are you really friends with my daughter?" Lucia asked softly. She had a sneaking suspicion that her daughter would be ease dropping (She would be correct).

Arizona nodded "Yeah, I really want to be friends with your daughter" Arizona started "She's the first real and honest person I have met since I moved here, I mean, we have only talked for two days but I really could see myself being best friends with your daughter" Arizona said confidently.

Lucia nodded her head slowly "Are you aware that my daughter is the laughingstock of the school? Am I to believe that you just randomly want to be friends with my daughter? How am I to know that you aren't just using my daughter to make fun of her?" Lucia asked. She was worried about her daughter's wellbeing, no mother wants to see their daughters heart break and be bullied, so although she got no bad vibes from the blonde that sat in front of her, she just wanted to make sure. You know, a mother's duty and all.

Arizona sighed "Well, I guess you really won't know until I prove myself to you" Arizona said "I have a lot of trust to earn, not only with Callie but with you and your husband as well. Like I told Callie, I don't care what people at school think, I am a big girl, and I can be friends with whoever I please. I like your daughter and I enjoy speaking with her and being around her" Arizona said "But I really would like to earn that trust if you will let me"

Lucia smiled "I like you and I think you'd be a good friend to my daughter, so please, I am giving you my trust and I don't give my trust out very easily, please, when you you get back to your house give your mother my number" Lucia said as she walked back to her desk and scribbled her number on a piece of paper. She walked back over to the blonde and handed her the piece of paper and looked at Arizona with such a look that broke Arizona's heart just a little "Please don't hurt my daughter, I don't know how much more heartbreak she can handle" Lucia said as took a deep breath.

"I promise" Arizona said with a smile, she grabbed the piece of paper and smiled at Callie's mother. Arizona walked out of the office and ran right into Callie and fell down, she looked up at the brunette with a wide smile "Callie Torres did you just push me" Arizona said as she held her hand out for the brunette to take so she could be helped up.

Callie looked at Arizona with wide eyes, she wasn't used to playful banter yet so she really thought Arizona was being serious. She took Arizona's hand and helped her up "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I did not meant to push you" Callie rushed out.

Arizona stood up and kept a good grip on Callie's hand "Callie, I was just joking" Arizona said "It didn't even hurt, i'm fine" Arizona said as she kept her hand interlocked with the brunette. She was going in the opposite direction of where she needed to go, but of course the blonde had no idea.

"Arizona...Uh, you are going the wrong way" Callie said as she pointed in the right direction "It's this way"

"Duh, this house is too big, I think I will always get lost" Arizona said as she allowed herself to be tugged in the right direction by Callie. She had no clue why she was so drawn to the brunette but she was happy that slowly but surely Callie was opening up to her and she couldn't be more happy about it.

"I'll give you a tour sometime" Callie said. The pair made it back to the garage and Callie put her things into the trunk before starting the car and heading towards Arizona's house. It was nice that the blonde only lived three minutes away and it always amazed Callie the difference in neighborhoods. Callie came from a neighborhood that was house all gated homes and more than ten bedrooms in each one and the second you took a right out of her neighborhood you were in Arizona's and it was more modern family style homes, three, four bedroom tops, it was a nice change of pace, the kind of intimacy that Callie sometimes craved when it came to her family. Don't get her wrong, she loved her parents and she loved that they had their own form of closeness and they bonded in their own way, it worked for them and Callie loved the dynamic but sometimes she wondered what it would be like to even closer to her parents.

The pair finally got to Arizona's house "You can park behind my jeep" Arizona said with a smile. She watched as Callie carefully pulled into her driveway "You ready?" Arizona asked. When Callie nodded the blonde got out of the car and grabbed some of Callie's things. She handed the duffle bag to Callie and looked at her "So, just to warn you my family is crazy and they will ask you a ton of questions and if at any time you get uncomfortable we can totally have a code word and I will know to get you out of the room and we can go for a walk or just go into another room and it would just be me and you, okay?" Arizona asked with a soft smile. She wanted to make Callie's first sleepover a good one and she would do anything to do just that.

"Okay, so who all lives here?" Callie asked as she looked at the blonde.

"My mom, her name is Barbara, my dad, his name is Daniel but he will make you call him the colonel, don't ask why, I wish I knew and then there is my brother Tim, he is a sophomore in college but got kicked off campus, it's a long story" Arizona said "And then of course there is me, the best person in the house if you ask me"

"I don't know about that, when I was talking with your mom earlier she said she makes a mean banana nut muffin and I am a sucker for a good banana nut muffin, so, so far your mom is sounding like the best person in the house" Callie said as she gave Arizona the first genuine smile Arizona has seen from the brunette.

Arizona let her mouth hang open in mock offense "Callie, how dare you" Arizona said with a giggle as she walked past the brunette and opened the front door to her house, she looked behind her to make sure that Callie was still close behind and when Callie was right on her tale she sent the brunette a wink.

Arizona made her way into the kitchen and saw her mom making a sandwich "Hey mom" Arizona said with a smile "Is it okay if Callie stays over tonight? It's her first sleepover" Arizona said as she looked at Callie who was awkwardly stood at the kitchen entrance. Arizona waved her over and Callie walked super slow over to where the two blondes were.

Barbara smiled at Callie "You are always welcomed here, so of course she can stay" Barbara finished making her lunch and smiled at the two "Would you guys like a sandwich?"

Arizona made a face of pure disgust "I hate sandwiches that aren't toasted and professionally made. You know this mom" Arizona said in a state of 'duh mom'.

Barbara put her hands up in mock surrender "You my child make no sense, a sandwich is a sandwich. Right Callie?" Barbara said as she turned her focus to the other person who occupied her kitchen.

Callie looked between the two, she noticed many similar features and many similar mannerisms, it was cute and she wondered if both her and her mother shared the same kind of similarities. Shaking herself of her own thoughts she looked at Arizona who was looking at her, no, more like pleading with her to take her side and then there was Barbara, who was looking on in amusement, Callie gave a small smile before she answered "I can see both sides. I agree with you Barbara because at the end of the day a sandwich is really just that, a sandwich but when it comes to Arizona's side of the argument, things just sometimes taste better when you know they are being made professionally, so I am being Switzerland when it comes to this argument" Callie said with a smile as she continued to look between the two, she was just hoping and praying that she didn't overstep or say the wrong thing. She really did care about making a good first impression.

"I can live with that answer, what about you mom?" Arizona said with a smile. She stood up and grabbed Callie's things. She saw her mom nod "We are gonna take her things up to my room and then head to the store and get a ton of junk food and we don't need your judgment when we walk through the doors with arms full of food that will most definitely make us sick" Arizona said with a smile and a nod as she walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to her room.

Arizona wouldn't admit it out loud yet, but this was the most excited she has ever been to have a sleepover.
