This is just a short little multichapter reunion fiction I was inspired to write after the Season 11/Part: A Finale so it diverges from the canon material almost immediately from that point in the story. This entire thing flowed out of me over the course of like three days and I wrote it so fast, that I didn't even name the chapters.

This is part of my what if Walking Dead story where Carl never gets bit by the walker and lives on. Rick still gets caught in the explosion but Carl had to make a promise to Michonne to take care of Judith and RJ while she goes out to find Rick.

Daryl is seventeen years old, and under his big brother, Merle's, guardianship. He goes off on his own to a bar, and finds himself in a fight with a good old boy. This choice sets up a string of events that will result in death, life, love, and trust. As the Dixon brothers learn to trust, Shane must come to terms with his best friend being alive and losing the woman and child he loves.

When Beth and Noah's escape from Grady goes awry, no one finds Noah to learn where Beth is. Amanda Shepherd is forced to intervene with the corruption at Grady, but Beth's too damaged to cope with life in the place where she lost so much. Finding Beth's family is a long shot, but Amanda feels like she owes it to her to at least try.

Suzy is saved by the selfish, conceded redneck Merle Dixon. When Merle is handcuffed to the rooftop in Atlanta, it's time for her to return the favor. Only they are left stranded with little chance for survival. When someone comes to their rescue, she immediately suspects something isn't right with their new ally. Now it's not only the dead they have to fear most, but the living...
