Kara sinks into the back of the booth when the warm goo coats her tongue. She hums, deliciously satisfied and cherishing the moment before she completely swallows.

"That's orgasmic," she blissfully sighs before shoving the fork back in her mouth in hopes there might be some apple cinnamon still left over.

Regina pauses, her coffee cup dangling in front of her mouth while her eyes darken and narrow. Kara flashes a cheeky grin, one that stretches all the way to her ears because this woman is so damn hot when she looks at her like that. She knew Regina Mills was attractive from the moment she laid eyes on her but with each passing day, every meal shared together, every evening sipping wine and talking about the most random topics, she's finding the stern woman even more gorgeous.

"You better not talk like that in front of my son."

"Your ears only," she giggles, earning herself a sly smirk before Regina nods and sips her coffee. "Alright, I need more," she announces, diving right back in to steal some more of Regina's cinnamon apple pancakes, however, the mayor swats her hand away.

"I told you to order some but you were very adamant about your protein this morning after your workout," Regina scolds but Kara just grins, this woman is too gorgeous to be that angry all the time.

"I know, that's because I was starving-" she whines.

"You're always starving," Regina mocks, her plump lips slowly crawling into a smirk.

"I know, I can't help it," she pouts while her fingers sneak across the table, completely abandoning her fork. "I think there's something wrong with me, I'm like a human garbage disposal."

"Hey, I don't know where your fingers have been," Regina complains just as Kara steals a neatly cut pancake topped with an apple slice.

Kara laughs, a full belly laugh as she plops the food into her mouth. "I wash my hands," she mumbles around her food and through her laughter because she knows Regina isn't truly mad.

Her laugh always seems to put the woman in a better mood. In fact, the past few days she feels like all they have been doing is laughing together. Well, Regina doesn't necessarily laugh, it's more smirking and breaths through her nose that reveal she's trying to hold back her laughter. Kara's kind of obsessed with it all.

"Umm, hey," Kara hears through the laughter, persuading her eyes to slide to her right and discover the town's sheriff lingering with her hands on her hips.

"Hey."

"Hello, Swan," Regina purrs, slowly sipping her coffee again.

"Do you want to join us?" Kara hopefully offers, already sliding down the booth and allowing more space but Emma plops down next to Regina instead.

The sheriff is almost as clumsy as she is, accidentally bumping into Regina, nearly spilling her hot coffee. Regina's face doesn't portray how mad she seems to feel. Well, Kara thinks Regina's angry by the sudden increase in heart rate that she is desperately trying to ignore (just another bizarre thing to add to the list since damaging her brain). Regina simply rolls her eyes but doesn't comment on the almost accident.

"So..." Emma trails off, strumming her fingers nervously against the table. "You guys enjoy breakfast here...a lot, huh?" She lamely supplies as conversation, provoking Kara's bottom lip to pout while she tries to navigate through the awkwardness lingering in the air.

"This is a small town," Regina deadpans. "Not many options," she quips. "Kara likes a big meal in the morning after she goes for runs," she explains, inspiring Kara to adjust her glasses to distract herself from the butterflies swarming around her gut. She loves how well this woman knows her already.

"I see."

"So, Emma," Kara perks up, hoping to deflate the weirdness swelling between them, "Regina and I were just talking about a girls night. I saw a flyer for The Rabbit Hole...it's karaoke night!"

And she's so damn excited, she's positive in her previous life she really enjoyed karaoke night but both women seem to just be staring blankly at her like they have no idea what she is sputtering on about. She fiddles with her glasses, quickly glancing down as she tries to come up with something to say.

"A celebration is in order."

"What are we celebrating?" Emma suspiciously investigates.

"I remembered something," Kara admits, scrutinizing the shock that flashes across the sheriff's face. "I mean, it's not like it was anything big...I was talking to Henry and he mentioned he was adopted and I said I was adopted too. It kinda just spilled out reflexively."

"And now she would like to reward her mind for recalling one memory by consuming shots and killing off more brain cells with a girls night," Regina deadpans.

"We-uh..." Emma stutters, "never done a girls night before."

"So..."

"Karaoke isn't really my thing," Regina adds on through a whisper as if she's mortified by just mentioning the activity.

"Awe, why not? It'll be fun! Emma, you can invite your sister," Kara rambles, pretending she doesn't notice how Emma flinches and Regina rolls her eyes, "Mary Margaret seems so sweet and we can invite Ruby, because I'm sure she can hear everything we are saying..."

"I'll be there! I'll invite Belle too!" Ruby calls from behind the counter.

"Awesome!" Kara practically squeals, rattling her fists of excitement. "This is going to be so much fun!"

"I think I'm coming down with something," Regina says through a fake cough.

"I'm pretty sure the pharmacy is going to be held up tonight by some thief," Emma adds on, motivating Kara to cross her arms and glare with her most intimidating facial expression.

"Come on, don't you two go out and let loose? You share a son, you have to want a few drinks at the end of the week and complain about his teenage hormones."

"Never," Regina scoffs.

"We tried once...but we were rudely interrupted," Emma grumbles and Kara's not entirely sure why the woman is trying to murder her with just her eyes, but she ignores her.

"Well, tonight we rectify that!"

XXXX

Regina had sent Kara to her house for something to wear for a night out besides jeans and her leather jackets. Apparently, her "rags" weren't appropriate enough for the Rabbit Hole during karaoke night. Ordinarily, she would have been offended but she was distracted by the way Kara lingered closer to Regina than necessary, provoking a wave of nausea to attack her gut and make her completely forget why she was irritated to begin with.

The other day, Henry had mentioned in passing, that Regina and Kara seemed closer and more comfortable with each other now. Well, that's what she took away from the conversation when she asked why he had been M.I.A as of lately. He confessed that he was having so much fun at Regina's; loving how much Kara would want to play video games with him and even though Regina never played, she still would sit with them, reading some sappy novel or how almost every night was a movie night.

Frankly, Emma never thought Regina was the type to obsess over movies but apparently, they have movie and popcorn night...every night. Her son rambled on about how they would make two bags of popcorn and sometimes Kara would sprinkle M&M's on top and they would each have their own blankets. He slyly mentioned that he had never seen his mom so relaxed with another person before besides him. In fact, he's never seen Regina cuddle on the couch with anyone except for him.

And Emma's not jealous. She swears she's not. That uneasy feeling swirling around her stomach is just that Henry's her son and she and Regina should be having family movie night together. That probably would have helped their family dynamic and pushed Regina and Emma to get along faster than their relationship originally had progressed but...she really didn't think Regina would be into something so chill.

And she's not obsessing over these thoughts when she sways nervously outside of the bar, working up the courage to have her first girls night...ever. She snaps her neck from left to right to alleviate some of the tension knotting in her shoulders and then forces herself to finally enter.

The music and some off key version of I've Got Friends In Low Places, instantly assaults her ears, while the smell of something fried dances beneath her nostrils. She takes one shaky breath, hoping to control her nerves and that's when she hears her mother's shrieking.

"Emma! Over here!"

She fakes a smile, hoping it doesn't come off as a grimace as her eyes sweep through the crowded bar and she lands upon the group. More like she lands upon Regina and Kara looking awfully cozy in a booth, tossing back shots, and giggling like little sorority girls as they each suck on a lime.

Regina Mills does not giggle.

"You made it!" Ruby exclaims, twirling an olive around in her martini. "We didn't think you were going to show..."

"Yeah, you're over an hour late. What happened?" Belle asks before slowly sipping something that has Emma's teeth aching from how sweet it must be.

"Nothing," she mumbles, hoping the lame answer will be rude enough to stop the women from further interrogating her. The last thing she wants to do is dig up something she buried very deeply before she arrived. "So, what are we drinking?" She chirps, forcing herself to seem lighter.

"Why don't you come with me to the bar?" Mary Margret covertly murmurs as she slides right next to her. "It's my turn to buy the next round of shots."

"Good," Kara chuckles, pressing her finger to the middle of her glasses to slide them back into place. "I've had like five of these and feel nothing," she complains, stacking the tiny glass upon a little tower she has created with all the empty shots that came before.

"Really?" Regina interrogates, squinting suspiciously at the toothy grin sparkling her way. "I've had the same amount as you and I can assure you, I'm anything but sober."

Kara bites the corner of her bottom lip and Emma instantly feels queasy. "Don't say stuff like that while looking at me...like that," she whines, stealing the olive right out from Regina's martini and popping it into her mouth.

Emma feels her chin wobble, maybe from disgust, definitely not jealousy, but before she can rudely comment on Regina's smirk that's drawing Kara in closer, her mother yanks her away. Mary Margaret slithers her arm through hers and guides them through the crowd and toward the bar.

"What would you like, honey?"

"Scotch," she grumbles under her breath.

"Scotch? I'm buying a round of tequila shots, you can't mix that," Snow scoffs before turning her attention to the bartender. "Seven tequila shots, a dark lager and another old fashion."

Emma is too distracted by the way Kara is giggling and Regina just sits there, smirking but never fully laughing while her eyes beat with adoration, to pay any attention to her mother.

"You know...I think Supergirl showing up was a blessing in disguise."

Emma's neck practically snaps in two from how fast she whips around, all wide-eyed and wounded. "What?"

Snow leans in a tad closer and lowers her voice so other patrons don't overhear them speaking about Regina's personal life. "Well, she could have really slipped and headed for a downward spiral after Robin left her but I think Supergirl was the perfect distraction." Emma firmly presses her lips together, pleading for her bitter words not to tumble out of her mouth and incriminate her. "They really seem to be enjoying each other's company..." she trails off and Emma can practically feel the intensity in her mother's gaze upon the side of her face. "She needed someone during this time."

"I was there," Emma all but yells before she can remind her loose lips to remained sealed. She quickly glances back at her mother, catching a small smile before she averts her eyes just as fast. "I mean," she shoves her sweating hands into her red leather jacket because fuck-why are they sweating so damn much, "I was a friend when Marian came back. I was checking on her and refused to let her push me away."

"I know," her mother softly agrees, ducking down to meet her gaze. Emma wants to run, book it right out that door from the twinkling in her mother's eyes, but she forces herself to stay rooted there. Snow offers a sympathetic smile, one that whispers that she knows more than maybe Emma even knows. "You look really beautiful tonight, Emma," she tenderly comments, reaching out to feel the weight of a thick curl she hasn't seen since she first met her daughter.

Emma nervously peeks down at her black leather dress, down to the heels that are far too high but she felt the need for intimidation this evening, and then back up to her red leather jacket, her armor. She cracks a small smile because she does feel confident tonight, especially since she curled her hair and even applied some makeup.

"Thanks." And here comes the water works, her mother's green eyes immediately swell with salty tears. "Mom," she groans, snagging the tray the bartender set down and quickly walks away before Snow becomes too emotional.

"I'm sorry, I just love you so much," her mother urges as she chases her back to the table.

"Okay, another round of shots, courtesy of Mary Margaret," Emma happily announces as she slams the drinks down a little too aggressively in hopes to break up the blatant flirting.

Ruby eagerly snatches two shots, one for herself and passing one to Belle. Kara is just as quick, offering one to Regina before herself. Emma holds back her groan while her mother steals one as well.

"The last two are for you to catch up," she faintly hears her mother, crackling through the moment.

Emma doesn't even glance down as she gingerly scoops up one tiny glass and tosses back the burning liquid without a second thought.

"Hey, we didn't cheers!" Kara complains, pouting and looking even more gorgeous, which somehow forces Emma's raging heart to pound even faster.

"Cheers," she lamely mutters, picking up the last shot and thrusting it into the air.

"To many more girls nights!" Kara shouts, encouraging the rest of the women to clink their glasses together.

After everyone slams their empty glasses back down, Emma finally slithers onto a stool across from Regina. It's quiet for all of ten seconds before Mary Margaret swoops in to save Emma's rambling mouth from embarrassing herself.

"Kara, that dress looks absolutely stunning on you."

Supergirl nervously tugs at the hem beneath the table. "Thanks! It's Emma's dress, she let me borrow it for the occasion. You know...for someone who doesn't ever go out...you sure have a lot of dresses."

"She does?" Her mother squawks like a damn parakeet, provoking Emma to hide her blushing cheeks behind her tall beer.

"Yeah well..." Emma murmurs, "before I was sheriff here, I was a bails-bond person. I caught a lot of people in bars and clubs."

"So, why do you still have them?" Ruby curiously asks, not a hint of judgment in her tone.

"Oh...um..." before she averts her gaze, she catches Regina's soft eyes boring into her. "I...didn't have a lot of things growing up," she vaguely says because she can't explain that she grew up in the foster system when she already lied and said Mary Margaret is her sister. "So, I take really good care of the things that I do have now. I can't just throw things away."

"I totally get that," Kara concedes, leaning across the table to convey her words, "I didn't have anything of my own when I was adopted and Alex was kinda a butt-"

Emma's head snaps to attention, everyone around the table already gaping at Supergirl and waiting on bated breath to see if her memories are flooding back.

"Alex," Regina whispers, leaning into Kara's side for comfort.

"I-yeah, Alex...my sister. Oh my gosh, I have a sister," Kara blurts out, those sparkling blue eyes doubling in size before they quickly vanish. She squeezes her eyes closed, desperately clinging onto the fading memory. "I still can't...ugh," she groans, pressing her fists to her temples. "Why can't I remember?"

"Hey," Regina softly mutters, clasping onto Kara's chin and guiding her to meet only her eyes and ignore the rest of the women around them. "It's going to take time, but your memories are slowly coming back."

Kara sniffles, nervously fiddling with those damn glasses again. "Why hasn't my sister come looking for me?"

"She will," Regina confidently urges, playfully shaking Kara's chin like she has done it a million times, which she probably has by the way Supergirl smiles so brightly back at her.

And Emma has never felt so sick in her entire life.

"I need a distraction," Kara hastily declares, readjusting her glasses. "Come on, we are singing-"

"Oh no," Regina firmly declines, slinking away but Kara is quick to steal her hands.

"Please, we can do a duet!"

"I need about seven more shots before I even consider-"

"Okay, I'll order you a few more and while you take your shots, I'll warm up with a song and then we duet!"

Regina doesn't agree, she simply chuckles and shoves the blonde away. "Go on, dear. Go have some fun."

"What song should I pick?"

"I'll help you pick," Belle announces, stumbling off her stool, persuading Ruby to offer a little assistance.

Kara and Belle wobble through the crowd toward the stage, although, Emma is positive Kara is perfectly fine, she's just trying to help Belle walk straight.

"Damn Regina, you lucky woman, Supergirl is stupidly pretty," Ruby comments, those wolfish eyes tracking the hero's every move or maybe...

"Excuse me?" Regina at least has the decency to appear confused.

"If I wasn't so into Belle, I would definitely be-"

"Wait, what?" Mary Margaret shrieks as she chokes on her Old Fashion. "You're into women?"

Ruby's glowing green eyes scan the women gawking at her. She holds up one hand as she slowly says, "have I not made that clear?"

"No!" Regina and Snow yell back at her.

However, Emma ducks her head down and casually sips her lager, pretending to be invisible. She always had an inkling about Ruby but it was never really her place. Actually, she never wanted the spotlight redirected toward her.

"Shit, do you think Belle knows?" Ruby anxiously inquires.

"Are Emma and I the only straight ones here?" Snow White chuckles and Emma should really be squirming about the assumption made about her sexuality but she's more interested in the fact that her mother blatantly left out Regina's name.

Inquisitive green eyes flick to each woman, only to discover that nobody seems shocked by this spilled tea, except for her. Of course, she had her own suspicions, especially since she's been stressing over Regina and Supergirl's budding relationship but this, this is confirmation. She glances around the group again and everyone is busy sipping their drinks, completely ignoring her mother's question.

"Okay but, do I need to be more obvious with Belle?" Ruby seriously investigates. "I didn't want to rush after everything with The Dark One but I also didn't want to miss my opportunity because well, look at her," she says, nodding toward the two girls giggling about something. "She's so beautiful."

"You definitely don't want to rush her," Emma murmurs into her beer.

"You also don't want to sit idly by and watch someone else whisk her away," Regina coyly adds on, motivating Emma to lift her gaze and meet those dark eyes silently challenging her just like they always do.

"Make a move tonight," Snow scoffs. "Dance with her, sing a song together, sweep her right off her feet and then walk her home, kiss her goodnight and make sure she knows you're interested."

"Mom," Emma groans just as Belle stumbles back to their table.

The brunette is giddy and slightly out of breath from laughing as she falls onto her chair, Ruby right there to catch her. "Oh my god you guys are going to die," she laughs, leaning heavily into Ruby's shoulder as she attempts to adjust herself.

Emma subconsciously frowns when she sees the wolf's puppy eyes for her beauty.

The host for tonight's karaoke enthusiastically introduces Kara...Supergirl, with her skin-tight red dress that is far too short because she is two inches taller than the sheriff. Supergirl, with her ridiculously sculpted biceps on full display for everyone to drool over. Supergirl, with those stupid glasses on for disguise and making her seem even more attractive.

The bass thumps, the music somehow louder than anything played all evening and Emma instantly slaps a hand to her forehead, knowing the song all too well.

"Crazy!" Kara practically screams.

"Oh my god, is she singing Britney Spears? Yes!" Ruby howls.

Kara then does some kick, even in her restraining dress and it's suddenly game on. "Baby, I'm so into you, you got that something, what can I do?"

"Oh my god," Ruby squeals, "she can actually sing!"

"Of course she can," Emma bitterly mumbles before she buries her face into her glass and downs the rest of her dark lager.

"She's so adorable," Snow gushes.

"She looks like she's having the time of her life," Belle blissfully says.

"Why don't you-" Ruby begins but Belle is already dismissing her.

"No, no, I couldn't. I'm a terrible singer."

"I'm sure you're not that bad, come on, I'll sing with you," Ruby urges with those big puppy eyes pleading for Belle to open up and give her a chance. "Come on, I'll be up there every second with you, we'll have fun."

"Alright, let's do it!" Belle squeals, already sliding off her stool.

"I'll come too!" Snow ecstatically shouts. "I'll sing my own song but you two can help me pick."

And all this occurs without a word from Emma because she's too busy boiling with jealousy as she leers at Regina who is smiling in awe at the new blonde hero. She thought that look was only reserved for Henry...okay, as of recently, she could have sworn that look was also meant for her as well. And now someone else swooped in with blonde curls and a crooked smile...

"You really are into women, huh?" Emma hears herself accuse with a hint of disdain which instantly creates a warm rush of embarrassment to violently course through her veins. She can immediately feel the way her cheeks flare up.

Regina slowly cranes her neck, allowing Emma enough time to regret her words. Her mouth pops open to apologize but Regina's snarling lips are already speaking.

"Well, I haven't gone out of my way to hide it," she cynically retorts.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Emma fires back, falling right back into their old habits of spiteful banter.

"Oh, Miss Swan," Regina darkly chuckles, persuading goosebumps to pop all down Emma's spine. "You can fool the town, fool your parents, maybe even fool yourself," she insinuates while her eyes roam over every inch of Emma's body. She pauses, lifts her martini to her mouth and before she takes a sip, she smugly declares, "but you can't fool me."

Emma's shoulders jerk, her back going ramrod straight as she glares at the woman she wants to slam against a wall to shut her up like she's done so many times before. But that never helps, whenever she tosses Regina against a wall, she ends up fighting with herself and denying herself the feel of Regina's plump lips against her own.

God does she want to kiss her so desperately.

Instead, she slides onto the stool her mother left vacant, so she's closer to Regina, but not too close where the alcohol she's consumed can poison her logical thinking and convinces her to do very dirty things to the mayor.

She faintly hears Supergirl singing, "you drive me crazy, I'm so excited, I'm in too deep."

"Regina, I-"

"What do you want from me, Swan?" Regina angrily barks and if this was anyone else, they would have cowered away. But not Emma, not the Savior. She actually leans closer. "What is your obsession with me and Kara?"

"I'm-I'm just trying to," she stammers, running her fingers through her loose curls and she would have to be blind not to notice how Regina tracks her every move. "Look," she sighs heavily, "I want to protect you-"

"Thanks for the sentiment, Savior," Regina sardonically quips, "but I'm perfectly capable of handling myself and quite frankly, I'm tired of this back and forth banter over Kara-"

"Supergirl," Emma interrupts.

"What?"

"Say her name. I want you to acknowledge that she is Supergirl and she does have another home, another planet she needs to go back to. And where does that leave you?"

"I'm done having this conversation with you," Regina firmly states. "This is my life, not yours. You have your...your person," she scoffs because she cannot even stomach saying his name accompanied with Emma's. "So stop obsessing over who I choose to be in company with." Emma swallows thickly, the tendons in her neck pulsating like she's forcing herself not to speak. "Unless you have something you would like to confess..."

"Regina, I-"

"Ah! That was so much fun!" Kara screeches as she leans over the back of the booth and physically wedges her way into the conversation. She props her chin upon Regina's shoulder and beams. "You're totally singing with me after the girls."

"Of course, dear," Regina agrees, glaring Emma down in a silent challenge, urging her to speak now or forever hold her peace.

Emma's mouth pops open but it's not her voice that rings loudly in the crowded bar.

"Swan, there you are," Hook happily cheers, provoking three sets of eyes to dart in his direction. "This place is packed tonight, it was hard to find you."

"Killian," Emma slowly drawls, "What are you doing here? I told you it was girls night."

"Aye," he brightly chirps before turning his attention to Supergirl. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure, yet?" He quickly slides his hand past Emma's face. "I'm Killian Jones, Emma's boyfriend and you must be Kara."

"Yeah-um, yes," she awkwardly stammers, lifting her chin off Regina's shoulder to shake the man's hand all while Regina smirks and Emma growls under her breath. "Kara Danvers, nice to meet you."

And Emma's not entirely sure why, but Kara seems taken aback for a second.

"Killian, can I speak to you for a moment?" Emma grits out through her tightly wound jaw.

"Of course, love," he beams as she stands tall, already shoving him away.

When they are closer toward the front door and out of earshot, Emma folds her arms across her chest and morphs into her interrogating sheriff persona.

"Start talking, what are you doing here?" She sternly investigates, but her eyes track the way Kara slips into the booth, closer than ever to Regina.

"I just wanted to spend some time with my girlfriend, my very absent girlfriend who is always too busy-"

She holds up a hand, immediately cutting him off. "Didn't we already argue about this at my place, which caused me to be an hour late?"

And really, she should be focusing on his words and paying attention to what is really occurring in their brand new relationship. Yet...her eyes are drawn like a moth to a flame, watching over a black leather jacket as Kara bravely reaches out, sweeping those inky tresses off Regina's shoulder. Regina, stoic-Madam Mayor, blushes while her big eyes search Supergirl's face for an answer. And then, Emma is forced to witness as Kara captures Regina's plump lips and it's like when Cora brutally shoved her fist into Emma's chest and clenched onto her beating heart, ready to murder her.

And then she watches, through blurred vision as Regina cups Kara's cheek and pulls her in even closer.
