Beckett wakes up in the hospital after the events of the season 3 finale and immediately asks for Castle. AU to the fourth season premire as well as the whole of the rest of the season I guess.

Very AU. "Where would you like it?" The first words Richard Castle said to Kate Beckett - and also the words that she'd woken up with tattooed on her body on her 18th birthday.

AU - Kate and her sister Audrey, an obsessed Richard Castle fan, travel to LA for the week to look at colleges, but Audrey insists on finding and meeting Richard Castle, someone who Kate has no interest in...that is until she knocks him to the ground..

If Kate was such a fangirl, why was she SO hostile toward Rick when she came to interview him at the book launch party? Maybe she had mixed feelings before he even turned around to talk to her. This is my 2nd posting on but I wrote the story in October 2013, based on a "song title" prompt. It was supposed to be 1000 words. I've added a little more depth since then.

Rick Castle takes little Alexis to the same baseball game that newly made lead homicide detective Kate Beckett is at with her father. After a little problem in the girl's bathroom, their paths cross and leads to new adventures for the writer and detective. As they get closer together, secrets come to light. AU. Very AU.

Summary: An alternate storyline path beginning in at that moment where Kate confesses more than she meant to in the Interrogation room, and the aftermath that it rains down on Rick. Not much in the lines of case work on this story, it is more about what happens when a person thinks everything they feel for another is invalidated.

During a bad rainstorm, Castle shows up to the precinct with a rescued kitten that he insists is the cat version of Beckett herself. (Tumblr prompt)

To help get over Castle, Beckett writes to him to tell him all her feelings. Her therapist suggested her to do it after her mother's death and as it worked then, she decides to do it now. With this stories, see Beckett go through life without him in each coming chapter.
