Chapter 15

Surprise! I have a busy week this week at work so I decided to post this earlier than scheduled. Enjoy.

All mistakes are mine.

Days after Leila and Elena were arrested, they had an arraignment hearing. They appeared before the judge and were notified of their charges. They were being charged with assault with a deadly weapon and both plead not-guilty. They were given an attorney, and the judge informed them they had a bail of $50,000 each. They had no one to bail them out so they had to wait for their trial. Ana and Christian were called in at witnesses, as well as Taylor. Brad was interrogated by the police, but wasn't a key witness in the trial. He told them they mentioned having fun that day but nothing to concrete. He was just there with them the day they got arrested. After all the witnesses were questioned by the lawyers and evidence was provided. Because Leila pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, she had to be evaluated by a psychiatrist. Elena was charged with aiding and abetting. The jury deliberated and came to a conclusion. Ten years in prison without the possibility of early parole.

Brad went to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center after the whole Leila and Elena debacle. He also went for a sex addiction treatment. He didn't like the person he became. He confessed to Ana that he visited her home when she didn't know and he say them having sex. That pissed her off so much she filed a restraining order on him. She told him he had a very serious problem, and he knew it. He just didn't want to acknowledge the fact that he had a problem with it. He was eventually fired from the police force and had to look into a different type of job.

It was Ana and Christian's wedding day.

August 20th

Ana was standing in front of the floor-length mirror while tracing the fabric of her low back soft lace wedding dress. It had thin straps and was very form fitting. The sweep train was very lightweight. Ana didn't want something so heavy. They were getting married in the summertime and she was also four months pregnant. She wanted to feel very comfortable. Her makeup was a beautiful, natural look and hair was up in a nice chignon. She turned to the side and placed her hand over her tiny baby bump.

"This is it. I get to see your daddy real soon," she says, and Emma approaches her.

"Mommy, are you ready? Jacob said that Christian is anxious," she says rolling her eyes.

"Yes, I am ready."

"Great! Let's go!" Emma said, all giddy, jumping up and down.

"Emma, sweetie. Can I talk to your mom real fast?" Grace speaks up and Ana is curious as to what she has to say.

"Ana, I have something for you. I know you have your something new, thanks to my son and your something blue. But I wanted to give you your something old and borrowed." She shows Ana a hair pin. "This was given to me by my mother when I married Carrick and wanted to give this to you."

"Oh Grace, it's beautiful. I am honored to wear this on this very special occasion."

Grace places it in her hair and then puts the veil in its place.

"Okay, let's get this show on the road. My son is getting anxious."

"He isn't the only one," Marisa smiles at Ana. "I am so proud of you Ana. You have overcome many challenges and now I get to see you get your happily ever after." She hugs her and she wipes a tear from her face. "Okay, no crying or we will ruin our makeup and we don't want to keep that man waiting any longer."

"Well then, let's not keep him waiting."

Emma and Jacob walk down the aisle as the flower girl and ring bearer, followed by Kate as her maid of honor. Ray and Ana made their way down to where her soon to be husband was waiting for her. As they approached him, Ray gave Christian the "you better treat my daughter like a queen look". Christian nods, and Ray takes his seat next to his wife.

They exchanged their vows and rings, and with the reverends final words, "you may now kiss the bride," Christian lifted her veil and kissed his wife with everything he had.

"EWWW!" Jacob said, covering his eyes. Emma clapped her hands and everyone else followed.

They made their way back down the aisle and headed towards the tent where their reception was held. Dinner was served, toasts were made, and not to mention the cake cutting. Everyone danced and had a wonderful time. Ana was sitting down watching Christian dance with Emma and she knew that he was going to take care of her and her children. He loved those two as if they were his own. He looked at Ana and smiled. He whispered in Emma's ear and she giggled and walked away. Ana watched as he came walking towards her, extending his hand out. She took it and they made their way back to the dance floor.

"I love you, baby. You have given me so much. Thank you for coming into my life and I promise you, you and our family will always be my number one priority." he asked her.

"I love you so much, Christian. Thank you for coming into my life. You taught me to trust again." Christian gently caresses her face and kisses her on the lips, giving every ounce of love he has for her in that kiss. Ana melted into his arms and continued enjoying the rest of the night with her husband.

Five years later

Ana and Christian have been married for five wonderful years. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy five months after they got married. Theodore Raymond Grey. He was his father's replica. He was born with tons of hair and was copper colored, just like Christian. He had Ana's blue ocean eyes, but everything else was his father. Jacob was so happy to have a brother. He loved Emma, but he was happy to have a sibling who wasn't a girl. Christian and Jacob always said that men dominated the house because it was three against two.

That didn't last very long because when Teddy turned one, Ana got pregnant again. Only this time, the ultrasound detected two heartbeats instead of one. On Ana's 20 week check up, they were told that she was expecting identical twin girls. When Ana told Emma, she then told Jacob, "looks like it's now four against three". She stuck her tongue out at him and Jacob chased her around the whole house.

When the twins turned seven, Ana was informed that Brad was critically injured in a car accident on his way to work. She found out that she was still in his emergency contact. She told Christian, and they went to see him. Upon arriving, doctors told her he was in a coma and the chances of him waking up were not good. The brain trauma was bad but he had also suffered a spinal injury and will never walk again if he miraculously pulled through. Ana and Christian went back home to tell the twins their father was hurt badly. They went to see him even though children were not allowed in the ICU. Brad was not a good dad to those kids, but he was still their father. They cried and said they forgave him. Deep down, they all knew he wasn't going to make it. They went home after saying goodbye.

The following day, the hospital called saying Brad died early in the morning. Luke came by and told them that he would prepare for his funeral arrangements and handle everything that needed to be done. Shortly after the funeral service, Luke approached Ana with an envelope written in Brad's handwriting. She opened it and read its contents.

Dear Anastasia,

As I sit here alone, I have come to realize that I truly messed everything up. I failed as a son, husband and father. My kids hate me for what I did. I broke up our family by my indiscretions. Even if they never told me to my face. I saw the look they had the last time they saw me. I went into a downward spiral and I was stuck. I was an addict. I didn't want to admit it, but I was. I am writing to you because I wanted to say that I am sorry. For everything, how I treated you and the kids. How I couldn't appreciate the love you gave me. I was weak, I'll admit it. After the divorce, I figured I would give you time and perhaps we would go back to how we used to be. But then you met Grey. I don't like him, but I know he treats you right. Better than I ever did. I know Jacob and Emma are in good hands. Tell my kids I do love them. The day they decide to forgive me for all the pain I caused them, I am one phone call away. I love you Ana. I am truly sorry for everything.

Brad

About a year or so after Brad's death, Christian approached Ana with the possibility of adopting the twins. If that was something they wanted. When Ana mentioned it to Jacob and Emma, she explained to them what that meant. She didn't want them to feel like Christian wanted them to forget who they were and who their father was. He wanted them to feel like they were 100% a part of their family. So, they agreed to have Christian adopt them. They legally became Greys just like Teddy, Phoebe and Camila.

The End.

A/N: That is it guys. I will say I had fun with this one. I am taking a break on writing. Thank you to everyone who reviewed, followed this story. Hope to be back soon.
