Chapter One: The Warning
"Ooh there right behind me. Some way out sister dear." Alexis says as she is running in doe form.
"Come back here!" A buck shouts from behind her.
"Like that's gonna happen." Alexis says as she keeps running.
"Get her! Don't let her get away!" Another buck shouts.
"I won't go back to there. No matter what." Alexis says only to stop at a cliff above a river.
"Nowhere to run now doe." A buck says as he and two others come up to Alexis.
"Come with us and there won't be any trouble." A buck says.
"Not a chance." Alexis says as she looks behind her at the edge.
"You have nowhere to go. You're only delaying the inevitable." A buck says as he and the others step toward Alexis before she looks down at the river.
"I promised myself I wouldn't go back and I meant it." Alexis says as she turns to the edge.
"Wait!" The bucks shout before Aleixs jumps into the water below.
*Timeskip*
"Where do you think she came from?" A voice asks as Alexis's barely opene her eyes to blurry vision.
"Not sure. She looks dead." Another voice says.
"Where am I?" Alexis asks.
"Let's bring her back with us. She's hurt pretty bad." The buck says as he lifts Alexis onto his back.
*2 Years Timeskip*
"Oh that dream again. Why do I keep having it? They can't hurt me anymore." Alexis says as she is walking around the warren.
"Hello Alexis." A voice says revealing to be Hawkbit and Dandelion.
"Oh Dandelion, Hawkbit. Good to see you." Alexis says nervously as Dandelion looks at her.
"Are you alright? You look worried." Dandelion asks.
"Oh uh I'm fine. Great actually." Alexis says as she gives a fake smile.
"You sure? Are you having that nightmare again? You know you're always welcome to talk to me about whatever it is about." Dandelion says.
"I know Dandelion. It's alright. I'm fine." Alexis says reassuringly.
"Do you think there will be a lot of does out this evening?" Hawkbit asks.
"Is that all you ever think about Hawkbit?" Dandelion asks as he looks at Hawkbit.
"No actually. But do you think there will be lots of does out this evening?" Hawkbit asks.
"Give it a rest will you?" Dandelion asks.
"I was... I was just asking! It's not all I think about, actually. There's lots of things I think about." Hawkbit says as he and Dandelion leave as Alexis chuckles and shakes her head at the two.
*Timeskip*
"Bluebell, Blackberry there's a danger coming." A voice says as Alexis sees Hazel and Fiver talking with Blackberry and Bluebell.
"Huh?" Alexis asks as she stays out of sight while listening.
"A danger?" Bluebell asks.
"What sort of danger?" Blackberry asks.
"There's no time to explain." Fiver says.
"We have to leave. Meet join us at Frith-Down under the bridge." Hazel says as he and Fiver leave.
"Hmm." Alexis says.
*Timeskip*
"They can't have gotten too far. Their scent is leading to around here. But I don't see them... and it's getting dark as well." Alexis says as she is walking in wolf form sniffing around before seeing crows around a building.
"Over here! Come get me!" A voice shouts as Alexis sees Dandelion.
"Dandelion? Oh no." Alexis says she sees Dandelion is being chased by the crows.
"They got got him!" Bluebell shouts.
"Dandelion no!" Hawkbit shouts.
"Release him you pile of feathers!" Alexis says as she runs over and attacks the bird holding Dandelion making it release him.
"Oh great. A sharp ear." Dandelion says fearfully.
"Dandelion it's me. Alexis. Just stay behind me." Alexis says as she looks back at Dandelion.
"Alexis!?" Dandelion asks as Alexis smiles at him before killing the crow.
"Are you okay Dandelion?" Alexis asks as she looks at Dandelion concernedly.
"Dandelion! Are you- a wolf!" A voice shouts revealing to be the others.
"Easy. It's Alexis." Dandelion says as Alexis smiles at him.
"Alexis!?" The others ask in union.
"Yeah... hi everyone. Sorry I was late catching up." Alexis says nervously as the others stare at her.
*Timeskip*
"I still can't believe you can do that." Dandelion says as Alexis is walking beside him in rabbit form with everyone in the rain.
"It's something I've always been able to do. I'm just happy you're okay." Alexis says.
"Thanks to you. I'm glad you came." Dandelion says as he smiles.
"Me too." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Alright day's breaking. We should stop." Bigwig says.
"No we keep moving." Hazel says.
"Are you giving me an order Hazel? Because I didn't realize anyone had made you chief rabbit! After all it was me who helped us escape Sandleford. Blackberry who rescued us at the stream. Oh and Alexis and Dandelion who rescued us from your stupid mistake with the birds! We followed you here because you promised us a better life. A better life Hazel!" Bigwig says irriatedly as everyone stops.
"Things will improve. When we reach the down." Hazel says.
"Ah! Yes! Yes the down. The place we're heading for for no reason other than Fiver had a feeling about it!" Bigwig shouts as Fiver crouches down next to Hazel.
"Bigwig I understand this isn't my place to say this but please fighting won't help us get anywhere. We're all tired, cold, wet, and hungry. The last thing we need is to be fighting." Alexis says causing the bucks to look at her.
"Alexis has a point. Seeing as she is the only doe here I'm going to attempt to dig myself a scrape. Not because this is where I wanna rest but this is where I'm staying." Bigwig says as he begins to dig soon followed by the other bucks. Alexis then looks at Hazel feeling sorry for him before starting to dig her own scrape.
*Timeskip*
Later as Alexis is settling down in her scrape she soon gets up quickly feeling a body next to her before seeing Dandelion.
"What are you doing in here?" Alexis asks as Dandelion looks at her.
"Well the others are pairing up. You're the only one without a partner. I just thought maybe we could keep each other company." Dandelion says.
"You're sure about that?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"Of course. I trust you." Dandelion says as he smiles.
"Fool's thinking. Any rabbit in their right mind wouldn't feel safe with a wolf." Alexis says as she tries to get comfortable next to the buck.
"Then I guess I'm not in my right mind." Dandelion says as Alexis looks at him.
"You really are different from others." Alexis says with a slight smile.
"So are you. Lay down I'll keep watch over you." Dandelion says.
"Thanks Dandelion." Alexis says as she lays her head down.
"Anytime." Dandelion says as he lays his head down.
