Chapter 6
Naruto shook his head in confusion, "Ok now you have me curious Takami-san, what in the hell is the point of all this crap you have me putting on?" he demanded.
"Minaka wants us to perform a test on your strength, Naruto-san." She stated "How well can you control your wind power? What is the limit of your power? Exactly how strong are you?" Takami questioned curiously "We have already seen you holding yourself against Karasuba and the other lower digit Sekirei. You are fast, skilled with sword and I have no doubt that you are physically extremely strong as well. We would love to test your speed and strength, but right now we would like to see how well you can handle your power." She quickly added, "For safety reason, of course."
"Don't worry, I understand what you are trying to say." Naruto said, "Basically, you want me to show you my power right?"
"That's right." Takami said with a nod of her head.
"I know the answer, but I feel like I have to ask; do I seriously have to wear this?" Naruto asked, looking at all the high-tech devices he was wearing on his body. Naruto had also changed his clothes to a normal outfit, which consisted of a normal orange shirt and black pants, plus a zipped up jacket and brown boots with black gloves.
After he had been released from the health room after the battle, Naruto had been taken to a wide and empty area outside MBI's base building, where the Sekirei usually trained every day. While the place was built using many alien technologies, it could never handle a battle between two Sekirei, or between a Sekirei and 'someone with Sekirei's abilities'.
"You might not let us take a sample of your blood, but can you at least let us check your vital signs while you are fighting?" Takami said as she pushed a device on his right temper before doing the same to his left one, "There, no harm is done for you and no gain for us as well."
"I guess I can let you do that." Naruto nodded, "You sure these things can handle the fight?"
"These are Sekirei's technologies…while small they are strong enough to withstand several pounds of C-4 explosives." Takami explained as she checked the devices on his arms once last time to make sure they were functioning normally.
"Of course…" Naruto chuckled "and here I thought those science fiction movies about aliens were just bluffing about their technologies." Their strengths, on the other hand, were a completely different story. He had been there and experienced that with his own body more than once, after all.
"There you go." Takami said as she stood up "Everything works just fine." After saying that, she walked away, joining a group of scientists who were standing in fronts of many computers like machines and recording devices. The chairman wasn't present, but Naruto knew that he was watching in his personal office.
"Alright, so I have a question before we actually begin." Naruto said as he looked at Takami.
"What is it?" Takami asked him back.
"Do you really want to have us up here fighting when I can just take us to the training ground underneath the island?"
"Training ground?" The comment was echoed by not just Miya, but Matsu, Karasuba, Mutsu, and Kazehana too.
"Ok I know we said we wanted to test you, but you mention something as ludicrous as opening a training ground, it's not possible." Takami said.
Naruto snorted, "Pssh, give me a break. My people were incredible. You've seen me bend the elements to my will, seen me physically rip the world asunder, but deny the possibility of spacial distortion?" he questioned.
"Yes, because everyone knows it's all but impossible to do." Miya agreed.
"Uh not really, you just have to know how to bend the laws of the universe to make it work, and luckily I know several tricks to make it work." Naruto smirked.
"Prove it." Takami demanded.
"Alright, if that's what you want!" Nodding, the grinning Naruto gestured for them to follow him. "Come on, I'll show you. It's pretty awesome." Saying this, he led the large group of Sekirei plus one doctor aside from himself to a spot on the island where he hummed and then put his hand to the ground. A pulse of chakra came from his palm and a square formed in the rocks before he ripped it up and revealed a ladder that led down a dark hole and into the earth at his feet, "It's a concealing array combined with a summoning array. The concealing hides the door, the summoning brings it to where I want when I put the seal on the ground, regardless it ends up at the training ground." he told them.
And with that, he started to climb down, the others following shortly after.
~XxX-Who knows how long time passed-XxX~
They descended into darkness, the only thing visible being the small lights lining the wall. Yet even that did not grant true illumination. It was just enough that they could see the rungs they were using to climb down.
"Is it just me, or have we been climbing for an awfully long time?"
"Dear god, how far down does this ladder go?"
"It's been twenty minutes already."
"Naruto, why did you need to dig such a large hole underneath the island?"
"All questions will be answered when we get there," Naruto said, looking up, grinning, because he unlike every one else could see just fine, and right now he had the perfect shot of Matsu's thong covered mound and butt. Just seeing that spectacular view reminded him of what they'd done the night before and made him feel like going another round.
And was it just him, or was his libido beginning to act up again?
"How much further is it?"
"Not far now. I'd say about another ten minutes of climbing."
"EH!?"
That came from everyone.
XxX
Fortunately for their peace of mind, they soon found out that Naruto was joking when, after two more minutes of climbing down the ladder, they ended up at the training ground.
~XxX-Under the Island-XxX~
What was shocking-to Takami, Kazehana, Karasuba and Mutsu at least, they had stopped climbing when they had reached the very cavern where the beast was sealed away, Naruto glanced around. He watched as the clones guarding the beast were placing sturdier seals around the creature, a large purple flaming barrier now surrounding it like a cube as a form of extra protection. Satisfied by what he saw, he walked past them, the Sekirei silently watching from a safe distance as the blonde came to a wall and put his hand on it before sending a burst of chakra into the stone where he watched as two crimson hands appeared roughly six feet apart, and then watched as the stone began to crack.
He watched silently as the crack began to lengthen and then take shape, the form of a large set of doors standing before him now allowing him entrance to what could be called a ancient temple-which it kinda was. The entrance consisted of two large doors roughly fifteen feet tall, and they weighed around twenty tons apiece, and only those who could wield chakra and had the physical strength to push them open could enter. Placing his hands on the two hand prints, Naruto pushed his chakra through his body, and grunted as he began to push the two stone doors apart.
The grinding of stone was his only alert that the doors were opening to him before he gave a slightly harder push and allowed the doors to open the rest of the way on their own. Naruto stands silently as he gazes inside. The entrance to the temple is constructed of two massive sliding stone doors, two large hand prints carved into both doors with one on both sides to push open. From the entrance, stairs to walk down lead to the center of the temple. Here, a massive throne sits facing towards the entrance. Near the throne, a prehistoric mural of a Nine Tailed Fox extends across the floor, encircling the throne in such a way that it seems to look as if the fox was trying to devour its own tails.
It was more then a fancy carving as it was used as a charging station for the ancient weapons he had created inside this place.
Surrounding the entire temple were a total of fifty to sixty stone statues of various men and women from a time long forgotten-The Five Kage. Many of them had deteriorated and broken, collapsed to the ground from lack of maintenance to the place. Many of them were salvageable, but could be re-carved with time. The air glowed a dull crimson, giving the place a eerie feeling, but in truth it was the magma pits that were sustained using hundreds of thousands of seals which had been done by Naruto back when construction was almost complete.
However, he walked to another wall and proceeded to do the exact same thing he had done when they had entered this unknown temple of sorts and pushed open another section of the wall and walked through with confidence. Whatever peace of mind they might have gained from the trip down not being as far as they initially thought shattered when they saw what Naruto called a training ground.
Expanding farther than even their eyes could see, a dome-like ceiling painted in blues and whites to resemble the outside sky, the place looked nothing like a training ground. As one, the group's heads turned, taking in the impossibly spacious interior. The ground, craggy and pitted and with several large boulders that rose up from the ground like miniature monoliths made much of the grounds resemble a desert canyon. If that were all they could see, maybe they could... actually, no, they still couldn't deal with what they were looking at, but the large cops of trees to their immediate left that extended for what seemed like miles certainly did not help their minds fathom the underground space that Naruto had apparently dug out for them.
"No way!" Naruto gasped, feigning surprise, his voice bouncing across the massive dome shaped interior. "Who would have guessed there was such a huge training ground under Kamikura Island?!"
Miya began twitching. "You mean to tell me this has been underneath that sealing chamber this entire time, what the hell." she said with a hand on her hip.
"Naruto," Takami said, her voice strained, "I think that perhaps you could tell us why you've built this..."
"Training ground."
"Right. Perhaps you could tell us why you've built this training ground underneath the island."
"Why?" Naruto tilted his head. "What do mean why? I thought the reason would be obvious?"
Miya's expression became unbearably strained. "Humor us."
"Well, alright." Naruto shrugged. He didn't know how she couldn't see his reasons for building this place. What possible use could a training ground have if not to train in? But whatever. If she wanted him to spell it out for her, then he would. Coughing into his hand, the gathered all attention onto himself, which wasn't really saying much because everyone there was already staring at him. Sure, they might be looking at him like he'd grown two heads, sprouted numerous tentacles from his ass, and suddenly started doing the can-can, but that hardly mattered.
"To be honest, this was built back when the beast was sealed away and was intended for me to regain my power when it was destroyed, the place is locked in between spaces of the world so I guess you could say it's a distorted location, the real room is no larger than a small bed, but the corridor is what makes it so large. Regardless, I have decided that starting tomorrow morning, once this test is said and done, I am going to begin training each and every one of you in order to unlock your full potential." He gave them all a grin, one that had every single one of them shivering. That grin could spell nothing good. "Welcome to Uzumaki Naruto-sama's special boot camp!"
Clapping his hands together Naruto looked between the Sekirei, "Now then, which one of you want to experience what I would like to call a one side battle?" Naruto shouted confidently and also rather arrogantly to the members of the Discipline Squad, who were standing at the far side of the field.
"I'm so going to wipe that smile from his face," Karasuba growled as she pulled her sword out of its scabbard, causing the steel hard blade to glint dangerously in the sunlight.
She stepped forward, but before she could do it, she was stopped by a hand which was holding a handguard-less katana. The other Sekirei found themselves widening their eyes in surprise at the decision of their Pillar, while the scientist was wondering if she should retreat back and observe the battle from several miles away.
"I will fight him," Miya stated firmly as she took a step forward. Karasuba looked at her leader for a second before closing her eyes, nodding her head.
"Fair enough." She tossed Miya her sword, which she caught before saying "Give that to him. I know they want to test his elemental power, but I would like to see how good he is against you, #01." Miya turned her head around, giving the silver-haired Sekirei a look before nodding her head and walking forward.
"I won't need that little toy." Naruto said as he waved her off and held out his hands and the group watched in surprise as a puff of smoke erupted from his palms before fading away to reveal a set of twins swords with small protrusions along the blades, "I have these. And while they aren't the Executioner Blade or my regular katana, they should do just fine." he said.
"Miya, while I don't want you to kill him, you will have to fight him seriously." Takami shouted, "I want to see everything, so you will have to push him to his limit."
"Very well." Miya nodded her head.
"So the big boss herself is going to fight me?" Naruto said as Miya stopped one hundred feet in front of Naruto, "You sure you want to do this?" Naruto asked with a small smirk.
"I will try my best to hold back," Miya said as she tossed Karasuba's sword back to the silver haired beauty, who lazily raised a hand and caught the sword.
Naruto and Miya stood several meters apart inside of the massive training ground. Their chosen battlefield was the rocky terrain that made up a large majority of the training ground. Naruto had the Kiba blades out, while Miya's katana was out of its sheath. This spar was apparently going to be quite real.
"I hope you're prepared," Miya said in a voice that could easily cut through solid steel. "I won't be holding back."
"I kind of figured that part out already," Naruto shot back. "I kinda figured you were smart enough to realize you're going to have to be taking this seriously."
"Indeed."
A small breeze generated by the seals created to simulate weather patterns. Dust blew between the two. Naruto steadied himself, as did Miya. Muscles tense, blades ready, they each prepared to attack.
On some unspoken signal, the two charged at each other. To the Sekirei looking on from above, it would appear as if the two had simply teleported. One instant, they were several meters apart, the next they were right next to each other, their swords locking in a clash that generated a powerful shockwave and caused everyone's hair to be buffeted by the violent winds.
Miya was the first to disengage their sword lock, but she wasn't the first to attack. Naruto came in fast and furious, leading with the blade in his left hand. Miya raised her katana and, not blocked the blade, but redirected by applying a slant to her swords position, holding it at an angle. The Kiba blade slid off in a hiss of sparks.
As the first attack failed, Naruto came back in with a powerful slash from the blade in his right hand. The swing, coming in from the left hip, moved up in an attempt to bisect her from left hip to right shoulder. While the slash was swift enough that his arm appeared as nothing more than a blur, Miya managed to avoid the attack by taking a step backwards. She also avoided the follow up thrust from the left blade by sidestepping and using her katana to push his attack wide.
Naruto didn't let that bother him. He continued moving forward by using the momentum generated from his thrust. He spun, rotating a full circle, before swinging the blade in his left hand, a loud clang ringing out as his sword met Miya's. Their blades locked, using only one hand, pushed against the blade.
A tiny frown crossed Naruto's face as he put some more strength onto his blades. Miya grunted as she tried to keep it up. While the purple-haired woman was, indeed, a powerful and strong individual, her physical strength could not match his.
Fortunately for her, she didn't have to match his strength.
Before Naruto could figure out what was happening, Miya slanted her blade at an angle. His own sword slid off Miya's katana. A brief explosion of pain marked his nose being broken by the hilt of Miya's sword. He reeled, stumbling backwards, blinking several times as he felt something wet drip down his nose.
"Ho?" Naruto cracked the nose back into place, allowing it to heal instantly. "Not bad. You're pretty good with that blade of yours."
"And you're holding back," Miya declared, eyes narrowing further. "I suggest you stop or I'll actually hurt you."
"Ah ha, realized that, have you?" Naruto rubbed the back of his head. "Listen, Miya, you're strong, there is no denying that, but my powers are, well, let's just say a sword can't beat them."
Miya's eyes narrowed. She then slid into a smooth, neutral stance, her sword sliding back into its sheath. In less time than it took to blink, the blade was pulled back out, the movement so smooth and quick even Naruto could not see it. He did see the ripple of air the attack caused, however, and knew that if he let that attack hit him it would hurt.
A sigh. It looked like he might actually have to get a little serious if he wanted to beat her. But still, he would rather fight her without the use of his powers. Call it his pride as a man on the line. How could he consider himself superior to this woman if he had to use the godly powers he controlled to win?
Crouching low, Naruto set himself a firm stance and crossed his Kiba blades. As the shockwave of funneled wind channeled into a destructive sword that extended beyond perception came towards him, he slashed his swords down and created his own shockwave. The two attacks hit each other, the incredible power creating an explosion of kinetic energy that caused the ground to splinter and the winds to howl with the sound of a thousand anguished souls.
Even though they were about a mile from where the battle was taking place (a safety precaution in case Miya's and Naruto's spar became too destructive), the Sekirei standing on the cliff ledge were forced to cover their ears as the terrible noise rent the air.
Dust blew upwards and outwards, engulfing the battleground in a thick, choking layer of natural pollution. Naruto "tsked" and spun his swords around, blowing the dust away.
Miya was right in front of him.
She was already attacking.
Naruto's arms moved in a blur as Miya's katana sought to slip through his defenses. A thrust was blocked with his right sword. His return attack, a downward slash with the left blade was parried when Miya shifted her blade, allowing his own to glance off it before using the generated kinetic energy to increase the speed of her swing and attack with an uncountable number of slashes.
Eyes narrowed and arms working faster than they had in about a thousand or so years, Naruto blocked those strikes he could, and avoided those he couldn't. He used a minimalist style, moving just enough to dodge her attacks without any wasted motion. There were several close calls, and one of his sleeves did receive a small cut, but he managed to avoid injury.
Miya's blade screamed towards him with swift fury. Naruto responded to her challenge, blocking the attack with his right blade while his left moved towards her chest. The attack, a thrust, was dodged as Miya took a step back and to the right, allowing the sword to pass her left side. She then lashed out with an upward slash as her counterattack. It didn't take off Naruto's arm, which almost appeared to be her intent, but it did make him aware of something.
Miya was better than him. Much like Karasuba, Miya had more talent at using swords than he did. However, unlike Karasuba, who was extremely talented but limited by her lacking physical attributes, Miya had no such problem. Her body, it seemed, was more than capable of keeping up with him when he was using chakra to enhance himself.
That didn't mean Naruto was going to use any jutsu, though. Not with such an amazing opponent. For the first time in his terribly long life, Naruto found an opponent who could actually push him. It didn't matter if he was holding back. That Miya could keep up with his chakra enhanced body was incredible enough. That she could actually prove herself superior at something was amazing.
As the battle wore on, Naruto noticed a change in Miya's expression. Her face, once stern and cold in ways he'd never seen on her, were now warm and inviting. There was a smile on her face, and he knew that she was enjoying herself as much as he was.
A flash of speed and once again, Naruto reappeared in front of the sword wielding Sekirei Pillar, moving so fast he left an afterimage in the place where he had stood. He came at her with a lightning-fast and powerful diagonal slash that would slice her from Miya's left shoulder to her right hip if she hadn't raised her sword with matching speed to block. A loud clang thundered like the sound of a lightning bolt tore through the sky, causing a powerful shockwave that knocked the white coats wearing people on their asses and buffeted the hair of every Sekirei back due to the violent winds that followed after it.
"You're doing fairly well against me when I'm like this." Naruto smirked as he looked at Miya's icy brown eyes. He trailed his eyes down and the left corner of his lips curved up when he saw two large cracks under her boots. He expected no less from the queen of Sekirei herself "I highly recommend you try to get serious." Miya said nothing and broke their sword lock before immediately engaging Naruto in an 'out of Earth' sword clash.
With sword in his right hand, Naruto came at Miya fast and furious and so did Miya. They didn't try to block, they didn't even try to parry each other's wild yet extremely accurate strikes. They attacked and let their sword clash in the middle, moving so fast the normal spectators could no longer see their arms and their weapons and striking so strong each time their sword came into contact with each other a shockwave was created.
"Kami…" Takami said breathlessly before snapping herself back to reality. "How are his vital signs?" She hit one of the researchers in the back of his head, causing him to look at the computer's scene in front of him. What he saw shocked him to the core.
"They… they're normal." He stuttered.
Takami gasped, before pushing the man out of the way to look at Naruto's vital signs herself. His blood pressure was 120 over 80. Naruto's heart beat at sixty-five beats and he breathed eighteen times per minute. It was perfectly normal for a young man like him. "Hold on a second…" Takami realized. They were too perfect. Shockingly perfect to be exact. No one should be able to have such a perfect vital signs like his, especially when that someone was fighting and moving at the speed faster than a human being could blink their eyes.
It didn't take it long for Takami to realize this battle… against the Sekirei Pillar… was just like a normal walk in the park in a normal day like him.
Miya hardened her eyes, and in a powerful slash, she managed to knock him back but parted her mouth slightly when she realized she had been pushed back two meters as well, with her feet skidding on the ground. Naruto landed gracefully on his feet, a small smirk on his face when he looked up and locked eyes with Miya.
Then, without pausing for a second, their free hand reached out and simultaneously removed the sheaths of their weapons, throwing them away as they rushed at each other one more time. Metal blades clashed for the first time as they met in the middle of the field, sending sparks flying between them.
"You are still holding back, aren't you?" Naruto asked with a smile as their blades shook slightly by the force they were applying to them. Miya said nothing and kept her eyes cold and her face blank like usual "Man, do you ever smile? You have twenty or something something in your ass or something?" He asked in amusement, and Miya decided to ignore it.
"You are holding back too. You do understand that I have no problem ending your miserable life with my blade, don't you?" She asked emotionlessly, causing Naruto to smirk "I suggest you stop or I will hurt you."
"Do your best then."
"Very well…" She loosened her grip on her sword and stopped using her strength, allowing Naruto to win and slash his sword forward. She sidestepped and dodged by moving her body to the side, so fast she appeared to be blinking. Then, while standing in the same stance, she slashed her sword and caused a ripple in the air, sending her trademark shockwave attack at him at near point blank range. Near, because based on his performance so far she knew he could dodge it, but his evasion would give her a wide opening to go for the strike that would end the fight.
However, Miya didn't expect him to stand still, causing the shockwave cut to slice clean through his neck before travelling onward to the sky above, parting the clouds in the process.
Miya froze with her eyes widening in shock and for a second no one dared to speak a word, not until Karasuba's sword slipped from his hand, his head fell from the neck and landed beside his feet, rolling on the ground. His body followed soon after, dropping heavily on the ground.
"W-w-what the fuck!?"
"Did she just cut his head off?!"
"What the hell!?
"Miya! Is that necessary to go that hard on him?!" Takami shouted to the Sekirei Pillar, her face green.
The Sekirei and human cried out at the same time. Shock, terror and horror filled the air as the head came to a stop. Meanwhile, Miya was just staring at the body. Her eyes were wider than they had ever been, not because she had just cut Naruto's head off because she couldn't see any blood coming from his neck.
Was he a robot, built by the union of nations that wanted to invade Kamikura Island?
"Sigh… I guess it can't be help, we will collect his body." Takami shouted and turned to the others, giving them a meaningful look.
"Hold on, stand back!" Miya shouted, stopping MBI's employees from making a step toward them. With her guard on, she carefully approached the body and turned it around with the flat side of her sword, Totsuga. Reaching her hand out, Miya bent her back so that she could examine the dead body.
"GOTCHA!" Miya jumped back when and the head of a grinning Naruto shot out from inside his jacket, causing the Sekirei to gasp in surprise "Muwahaha, I knew you would fall for…!" His happiness was cut short because he was forced to clap his hands together around Totsuga blade in front of his face to stop Miya from impaling his head with it "What the hell woman! That is not how you are supposed to react to one of my jokes."
"He tricked us…" Takami stated. Should she feel surprised?
Maybe...
"But what about …" She turned her head to the 'head' on the ground, and nearly face-faulted when she saw a coconut with a yellow wig on top of it "Where did he get that coconut from?!" she asked in disbelief.
"He's just like a kid…" Karasuba growled in annoyance while Kazehana and Matsu were giggling amusingly "Is he even taking this seriously?" However, it was a terrifying thought, considering that his opponent was the Queen of Sekirei, whose power was 'from another dimension' entirely.
"But… how did he do that?" Mutsu wondered. How did he even manage to trick Miya?
"You seem to have a lot of tricks up your sleeves, don't you Naruto-san?" Miya asked as she put her hand on the end of Totsuga, and pushed down as hard as she could. The blade slipped between Naruto's palms and stabbed into the ground because Naruto had titled his head to the side to dodge at the last second.
"You haven't seen anything yet, Miya-chan." Naruto grinned. His grin then turned into a sly smirk "I, on the other hand, have seen it all." Miya became confused "You seem to have a thing for purple, don't you?" It took Miya several seconds to realize the meaning in his question. With red hues on her cheeks, she removed her sword from the ground and raised it to the side. Grinning, Naruto kicked his feet and dashed upward on the ground to avoid Miya's blade, which yet again unleashed another shockwave that left a long and thin cut on the ground after it had blown a large amount of earth and dirt up.
Holding her sword at her left hip, Miya rushed to Karasuba's sword on the ground to prevent the blond from retrieving his weapon but came to a halt when Naruto went for the fake head instead.
Seizing the coconut from the ground and into his hand, Naruto removed the wig and moved his body to the side to dodge Miya's lightning fast slash that came from above. He then crouched down to dodge a horizontal slash, but raised the coconut above his head, causing Miya's sword to slice through a small part of it. Removing that part from the coconut and standing up, Naruto took out a long straw from his pocket and put it into the coconut before he started to drink the water from it.
"A second please." Naruto raised his hand and told that to Miya, who looked at him with half-lifted eyes before rushing forward to attack him again "C'mon woman, can I just enjoy a coconut in peace?" Naruto whined as he was forced to dodge Miya's ferocious attacks.
"Enough fooling around." Miya said as she slashed left and right "Fight me seriously." She then raised her sword above her head, holding the grip with both hands "Ittoryodan (Cut in two)" With that declaration, she brought her sword down, unleashing a tremendous force that flipped the entire area in front of her up and blasted Naruto into the air.
The blond, however, simply back-flipped before landing gracefully on his feet several feet away from the Sekirei Pillar, who raised her eyebrow slightly when she saw no damages on his body.
"Okay done." Naruto announced, removing the straw from his mouth "It's my turn now!" He shouted, and threw the coconut at Miya, aiming for her head. The Sekirei Pillar simply raised her sword and sliced the fruit into two pieces with ease.
However, as soon as the parts parted away, Naruto was right in front of her with his fist crooked back. He wasted no time to throw his punch, and Miya was forced to move her head to the side to dodge it, feeling the winds gazing her face. She brought her sword up, but before she could deliver a strike, he shot his other hand out and backhanded her wrists, hurling her sword to the other direction before pushing his right foot on the ground to launch his knee into her abdomen.
Miya twisted and leapt her body to the side, causing his knee to miss her stomach by an inch. Using her momentum, Miya slashed her sword, going for a horizontal slash. However, once again her attack missed its target when Naruto bent his back backwards. Putting his hands on the ground, Naruto twisted his body around and sent a roundhouse kick to the side of Miya's face, which she managed to dodge using the flat side of her Totsuga.
But before she could even think about a counterattack, Naruto had already gotten to his feet, punching her once again. Miya barely had the time to bring her sword up to block, using the sharp blade. However, his fist stopped and disappeared from her sight, and the next thing she knew, she was blasted back several meters by a vortex of wind, which she managed to disperse a second later with her sword.
"Indeed… your wind is quite strong." Miya said as she repositioned herself on the ground, holding her sword in front of her "But you will have to do a lot more than that to hurt me, Naruto-san." She stated confidently before noting a small, arrogant smirk that appeared on his face. Generating a huge cyclone from his hand, Naruto then swung his hand to the side, sending the cyclone at Miya, who was fully prepared for the attack, "Divine Vortex of Destrection"
However, her eyes widened in shock when she saw him clap his hands together where the ground under her feet turned to a literal river of mud, "Earth Style: Mud Flow River" the blond called before Miya slid away on the liquid river of dirt. Not finished yet, the blond stopped before taking a deep breath before expelling from his mouth a massive orb of rotating flame, "Fire Style: Great Fireball". The fireball soon fused with the wind cyclone, forming a gigantic firestorm that leveled anything on its path while travelling toward Miya.
Miya grunted as she planted her fee before she had to sweep her sword to the side, using the tremendous force of her attack to disperse the tornado, sending the fire all across the field. Miya quickly spotted Naruto, who smirked and moved a little to the side to avoid being burned by one of the larger fireballs on the ground. "What…" Before she could attack him, her eyes shot wide open in shock when she saw Naruto's hand crackling with blue electricity, which then expanded and headed to Miya in the form of a large hound, "Lightning Hound Wild Hunt" he called.
Keeping her composure and stopping herself from wondering how it could be so vivid, Miya waited for the lightning beast to lung at her to dodge, lowering her body to the ground before spinning around, slashing her sword in a swirl, cleaving the hound's head off in the process. Looking up, Miya gasped when she saw not just one, two, or three, but a huge pack of lightning hounds were charging at her from every direction, their tails being connected to Naruto's two hands.
"I'm not done yet, Miya-chan. Water Dragon Divine Retribution" She heard him whispered in a very low and calm tone, and then much to her shock, three gigantic water dragons appeared from the air, circling around her before raising high into the air and baring their fangs down at Miya, leaving the spectators in a state of absolute shock "Like I have already told you, people, I'm not someone who fucks around, compared to all of you, I am a fucking god." With that, the dragons crashed down at the same time as the hounds.
"I see…" Miya said as she tightened her grip on her sword, a small smile appeared on her lips "Then I shall show you the power of a goddess." A thin, purple aura appeared around her slender body as she glanced at the water dragon and lightning hounds. Releasing one hand from the grip of Totsuga, Miya raised her sword to the side and then spun around, generating powerful shockwaves in every direction, heading toward the water dragons. Without pausing for a second, she took her sword back in her usual stance and charged forward, slashing her way through the lightning hounds, her sword and movement could no longer be seen by her fellow Sekirei.
It happened in less than one tenth of a second. She took care of all the hounds about the same time the shockwaves crashed into the water dragons, mercilessly demolishing them and causing water to be blown every around the island. Miya then jumped into the air, avoiding the water infused lightning that splashed on the ground and launching herself at Naruto, who refused to move despite the fact that Miya was coming at him with the intent to kill.
As she brought her sword down, sand suddenly shot out from the ground around Naruto and gathered in front of him to create a giant sand creature that greatly resembled a tanuki. The moment it had taken a completed form, the tanuki's hand shot up and clapped tightly around Totsuga with amazing strength, stopping it from reaching its target, causing Miya to glare at the sand creature and the man standing behind it. She immediately went for another attack, but suddenly found herself unable to move her feet. Looking down, Miya widened her eyes when she saw the ground underneath her turning into mud, which quickly swallowed her up to her ankles.
"Tch…"
"Wind, water, fire, lightning, sand, earth, storms! Just how many elements can he control!?" Takami asked in shock, the feeling that was being shared by the Sekirei. Karasuba, meanwhile, was trembling, not in fear, not in shock, but in excitement.
Karasuba had never felt such emotions in her life.
"More…" She whispered with a sadistic grin "Show me more Naruto… show me your power…"
"You know, Miya-chan…" Naruto said to Miya, who cut down the tanuki and freed herself from the mud to attack him with her sword "If the two of us fight seriously, we will probably destroy the island above in less than a minute. Look at the damage we have caused while holding back." Miya glanced around, and saw the destruction that had gone beyond her expectation.
Had she really lost herself into this battle?
"I don't think that is something you want, correct?" He asked with a smile as he grabbed her hand, stopping her from slicing his cheek. Miya was quite taken aback by his smile because it was different from all the ones she had seen from him.
"It doesn't matter, I was told to test you and that's what I intend to do.' she responded.
The two continued to battle, the air around them bursting with shockwaves as steel clashed. Their swords moved at speeds that no one else in this world would have been able to follow. Each time they struck, the sound of steel exploding against steel in a ferocious display of raw destruction and power would erupt. The very landscape began to change because of their battle; the earth splintering and cratering under the pressure their attacks caused. Throughout it all, Miya smiled.
Their battle ended on a technicality. Naruto had been enjoying himself so much that he didn't see the large crack in the ground behind him. When he stepped, he fell. This normally wouldn't have been a problem, as regaining his balance was a simple matter of using his powers to push himself up, but Miya had not stopped her assault and, unfortunately, when she rushed forward, she ended up crashing into Naruto after trying to stop her own forward momentum. The end result was two people tumbling to the ground in a heap of limbs.
Miya ended up landing on top, her legs straddling Naruto's waist and her hands pressed against his chest. She looked down at him with wide-eyed surprise. Her fingers twitched, a result of feeling his warm skin searing her beneath the fabric of his shirt. A blush sprang to her cheeks, pale and pink, lovely in ways words could never aptly describe. She began to lean down, as if gravity or some otherworldly force was exerting pressure on her back.
"Miya..."
Lost in a trance, Miya found herself staring at Naruto's lips. They were chapped, she noted absently, likely due to their battle. She imagined hers looked much the same.
"Miya."
Her body continued to move. She didn't question it. Her mind, it seemed, had fled her as adrenaline from the battle she and Naruto fought drove her on an instinctual level. She needed do to this. Wanted to do this. Just a little bit further and...
"Miya!"
It was only when Naruto shouted at her that Miya realized what she was doing. Her eyes, which had begun fluttering closed, snapped wide open. Her mouth, too, dropped in shock. Her nose was mere centimetres from Naruto's. They were so close she could see her own reflection in his eyes and feel his hot breath wash across her face.
Moving faster than she ever had before, Miya jumped off him. A hand went to her chest. It was beating so erratically it hurt. She couldn't...she needed...
"I'm sorry."
Before Naruto even had a chance to say anything else, Miya ran out of the training ground and up to her room. She slammed the door shut, threw herself on the bed, and began to scream her frustrations into her pillow. When would these torturous, traitorous feelings end?
Naruto sighed to himself as Takami and the others walked up, a little surprise at what happened just now with Miya, she wasn't normally like that.
"That's enough for today, don't you think?" Takami asked as Karasuba accepted her weapon and gave him a nod of her head before looking up. With that, Naruto turned around and walked away a small sigh escaping his lips.
"To think…" Kazehana said in shock.
"…he is this strong," Mutsu muttered.
What they were seeing gave them the feeling that the sky had been cut in half.
