BEN 10: RISING OF THE SHIELD HERO

CHAPTER 15: SPECIAL CHAPTER

I CAN'T CURRENTLY DISCUSS REVIEWERS' PROPOSALS BECAUSE I AM QUITE BUSY. BUT I HAVE READ THEM. AGAIN, THANKS FOR READING AND WRITING REVIEWS, EVERYONE. IT IS BECAUSE OF YOUR ADVICE AND CRITIQUE THAT I COULD IMPROVE MY STORIES.

This chapter is short and an Alien X appreciation chapter, thanks.

After the third wave, Rex, Eclair, me and my party meet at the Rex's mansion.

"Dude, seriously that Whampire guy of yours freaked me out. I honestly thought she's gonna die."

Yeah, I thought I had a better control of the said alien but I didn't in reality. Even a walking lifeforms spirit person like Glass lost half of her life energy.

If she were a human or other species, she would have been possibly out cold. But for someone who's body is made up of at least 90% energy, it is utterly deadly.

I sigh as I look at Rex and Eclair with my gloomy eyes. We won the battle, but lost the war. It's technically true for high-moral people like Rex.

Eclair has a different opinion. Glass is an enemy. Why didn't I KILL her? Like that. She was an enemy. I can't say she won't become a friend in the future because her abilities are formidable, and I would definitely want her in my team. Still, I can't find a reason why she would attack me, … No, us.

"Alien instincts. Although it's me, my body was transformed so the biology was different. Like… Er… Being a human and being an EVO are different."

Rex nods. I don't understand EVO biology since there is no such thing as EVO in my universe.

"Ben Tennyson. Do you have stronger… aliens… than this Whatpire?" Eclair asks.

"It's Whampire. Of course, I have, but that one was compatible with the situation. Stronger power doesn't mean it's compatible with every setting. But I got a particular that can doeverything though."

"Yes, yes," Aria says with a bored voice. "You are invincible, every shape and size. And got forms for everything. I don't think you have aliens that improve your flirting skills."

"Maybe I do. I have ones with a big brain or super intelligence. Give me your stats and… well," I joke.

Eclair stands up. "I'm interested. Tell me about that particular creature which is suited for every situation."

I enter the court of thoughts for some moments.

Should I tell them?

Of course, they are my trusted comrades.

No, it's risky.

Why is it risky?

Why, of course, even if they know, they won't understand. And yes, it's risky. They would treat me as a figure of their religion. Like - the Protector of the World - the Great Alien X.

Forget the nonsense.

"It's called Alien X."

"Alien X? Unknown number X? Sounds like an SCP creature?" Rex jokes.

I laugh dryly as my thoughts are swayed to contents about SCPs. Though I have never actually studied them, it's creepy to think those all were existent.

"Well, it's the tenth alien in my second omnitrix. And he's durable. I didn't know what he was and I came across him a couple of times before the first ever time I activated him. And damn, what do you think he did?"

"Uh… beat your strongest villain?" Eclair bets.

"He fixed a dam!"

"Oh, did you work as a construction manager in your universe?" Rex jokes.

"No, like… he fixed the damn by reversing the time flow."

There is a moment of silence.

Everyone else except Rex would think "what is time reversal?"

Rex might probably be stunned in awe.

"Oh… great," he muses. Then, "Dude, are you kidding us?"

I wink at them.

"What is meant by 'reversing the time flow?'"

Filo asks out of curiosity. "Does the time flow like a river?"

"Time is a concept which is real and fake at the same time," a voice interrupts our meeting.

I look up at the source of voice… which is the one who stands leaning against the closed door.

It is a man in white chef costume. But his facial features are both European and Asian with fair skin. And standing next to him is a girl in a similar outfit but she wears a pair of rectangular glasses.

"For most of us, it doesn't have a direction, it can't be seen, or touched…" he explains. "We can't do anything with it. We can travel from one place to another. But time moves from a point to another point as if it is sentient. When we measure time, we can't say – the hands of a clock moves because time moves forward."

"You are not explaining "time flow!" Filo pouts.

In the mean time, I recognize him. He is the self-proclaimed Time Keeper Christopher Phantom Chronos who also worked as… rather was disguised as a cook at the Brambila Mansion for the previous decade.

And standing next to him is probably one of his three disciples.

"Please forgive me, Heavenly Fowl girl and… Orange Demon, Lady Knight, Blue Knight… Oh those are the nicknames that my Ben boy came up for you."

"Hey!" I bark furiously at him.

"Oh, that aside, Ben boy, if you want to study Quantum Physics, Strong Theory and the concepts of time, we welcome you with warm hands anytime. Just… call out my name and I will be there in a split second."

"No," I refuse coldly. "Physics is not my thing, I guess, and don't be overconfident. Paradox has tried teaching me."

"Pardon me, Ben. I am afraid I am not Paradox."

He is no less weird than Paradox, his unchanged smile is… but creepier.

"First things, first. We are here to help you explain the abilities of Alien X."

"Tell me about it," Eclair says with full of passion in her voice.

"Alien X is a member of species namely the Celestialsapien. Even among the aliens, not everyone knows the existence of these beings and not everyone believes them. Many of sentient living beings believe that the Celestialsapiens are but a Myth. Even the Revonnahgander partner of Ben boy didn't believe until the whole thing was proved."

"It's a myth… so what's the chances that this world was created by one of them?" Rex questions.

"Zero. I don't know who created this world because I don't care. But whoever created this one must be a stupid NEET gameholic."

Oh, he is… sharp-tongued or something?

"Why?" Eclair asks.

"Because celestialsapiens aren't stupid to create this world."

He is being honest, I suppose.

Eclair goes silent.

"Ben as Alien X created his own universe from scratch. He created the space and time. And planes of reality. Even the dimensions. So we consider him a God. We won't say No if he is willing to join us as… a Time Keeper on our Multiversal journey."

I chuckle. Time Keeper is just some title.

Are they really doing their jobs?

"Oh…" Eclair forgets to breathe for a moment and then she inhales desperately.

"Well…" Rex says in amusement. "It… is amazing. You are amazing. I mean… you really have an alien for everything. No, you even created everything so it isn't a thing anymore."

I smirk out of bliss. When I told the exact same thing to my partner Rook, he didn't believe. Until I defeated the Galactic Gladiator at the universal court.

It's sometimes… the best to brag one's accomplishments. Thanks to the Omnitrix.

"As of now, Alien X and fellow Celestialsapiens are one of few beings I… no, we the Time Keepers can't predict. They are incredibly powerful that they can create an energy source for themselves out of nowhere. But… there will be challenges for you in the future… Ben boy."

I don't doubt there will be.

"Even as myself knowing the past, the present and the future, I'm not quite certain what will be in the next second because… of infinite possibilities. And there is no point if you have to take more than a second to predict the future in the next second, no?"

I shake my head in agreement.

"We've got some nominees that you will have difficulty facing… er… it's the best if you don't antagonize them. Like… Goku, for example."

I blink as I ask out of curiosity.

"Who's Goku?"

"A powerful individual from a unique dimension. You won't need to face him… I suppose."

The girl next to him whispers into his ears.

Her voice is too soft… as if she isn't actually speaking.

"Oh now, the rest can be handled by my Ben boy. We shall take our leave. It's great to see you, everyone."

"Wait–" my attempt to stop them is unsuccessful.

They vanished in the thin air leaving me behind with a bunch of people who have suspicious eyes on me.

"W–well… Hahaha a… They are… incredible." I joke dryly.

THIS IS CHAPTER (15).

I have no plan to use OC characters other than Aria frequently. Aria is partially based on Gwen, Julie, Kai and Eater. But Chronos and his gang is different. They are deceptive and sneaky if I have to say. In fact while I don't hate OC characters, I don't want them to take over the story.

Until next time,

Christopher Paradox Chronos
