Eddard Stark is being escorted by two men through a crowd that is chanting and cheering excitedly, eager to see a man get executed. He spots his youngest daughter Arya sitting by a statue, he knows who his daughter is, he knows that she will attempt to save him should things go badly as he believes that they will. As he is escorted, he sees Yoren, a wandering brother of the Night's watch, who can stop his daughter and help get her out of Kings Landing, "Balor, Balor." He tells him to get him to look over toward the statue

Yoren looks over and sees Arya and frowns in concerned, he begins to move just as Lord Stark is taken up the steps.

He stands as he faces the crowd and he begins to speak, "I am Eddard Stark, lord of Winterfell, and Hand of the King." He glances at Sansa, who nods sadly, he remembers the Vary's words, 'And what of your daughter's life my lord, are that a precious thing to you?' He then notices Petyr Balish smiling. No one is going to protect Sansa here, regardless of what he says or tries to do, Balish already shown him that, if a man who loved his wife so deeply and cared for her so much, could betray her husband for this. Then why should he believe a word that any of them tell him. As Vary's said, he grew up with actors, he learnt his role and he learnt it well. He knew exactly what to say and how to say it to get whatever he wanted, not this time. If he dies, he'll die an honest man, "I've been brought before you to lie. In the sights of gods and men, I will here, tell you the truth. The faith of the King was betrayed by his own squire who ensured that he was drunk enough that the wine would slow him down, all in an attempt to allow a hunt to kill him. All of this was planned and done by his own wife, who sought to be murder him to keep him from the truth. It was my own foolish, in my attempted to show mercy to Joffrey and his siblings, so that they wouldn't pay for the sins of his parents. When he died, I plotted to ensure that honor was upheld, that the rightful heir was secure on the throne while no harm would come to Joffrey. I was betrayed by those who had said that they would help me. My men were murdered without any mercy. May the high sept and Balor the blessed bear witness to what I say, Joffrey and his siblings are products of incest between the Queen and her twin brother the Kingslayer. I speak all this, rather than what I was told to say, because while I was promised to be sent to the night's watch to take the Black, I am certain, now more than ever, that Joffrey would have never kept that promise and would order my execution and then would go on to torment my daughter without mercy. I will die here no matter what, but I will die an honest man, or as honest as I can be. I will let out one last secret, before I do. My son Jon Snow is not my bastard nor is he my son. He was raised as one of my own, but he is my nephew, the son of my sweet sister Lyanna and her husband, the Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. So here before I die, I will speak the truth, I will honor who my brother-in-law truly was, not a rapist or a kidnapper, but the last true honorable man of the Targaryen Dynasty." He looks over at Joffrey and smirks, "Kill me and be done with it, unless you are too cowardly to do it yourself and need a man like Ilyn Payne to swing the sword, as long as you do that, you know nothing of justice."

Joffrey is red with anger, "Kill him! KILL HIM!"

Many of the crowd stares at him, he doesn't have any of the features of Robert Baratheon, none of his siblings do either. They begin to wonder if what Ned Stark said was true.

Ned Stark finds himself forced down and he thinks to himself, 'Brandon, Lyanna, Father, Mother, I will be with you soon. However, as a member of the Direwolf, I am dangerous when cornered." He breaks free of his bindings and gets up and punches Ilyn Payne and gets the sword and realizes that they were going to behead him with Ice, "Joffrey Waters, I'm taking you with me." He tells him and he cuts his way through Ilyn Payne and then two Lannister guards and stabs Joffrey through the stomach and at the same time, another two stabs him in the heart. He smirks at Cersei as he falls forward, dead. He died bravely and honorable. He died as he lived. They wanted him to sell out his beliefs for a false promise of a chance to life and he defiantly acted.
