Chapter 1
Change…we all handle it differently, even when it's intentionally or unintentionally, our minds and bodies have a funny way of reacting to it at times. Some people can easily expect the changes that are happening around them, while others need to take time to even give new ideas and concepts a chance. Well…let's begin our tale shall we, as we open in the hallways of Royal Woods Elementary…
Lucy (Walking out of a classroom with her friends right behind her): "So, we're all attending the meeting at the cemetery tonight?"
Haiku (Takes out a piece of paper): "I even wrote a haiku for the occasion."
Boris: "And I finally came up with some new scary tunes to play on my keyboard."
Dante: "What are you brining tonight, Lucy?"
Lucy: "Well…" (Takes out a piece of paper of her own): "I have been trying to finish this poem, but I've been having trouble finding some good rhyming words for it."
Persephone: "Would you like us to help you with it?"
Lucy: "Actually…" (Turns around and spots something white sticking out above an open locker door): "I have someone else in mind."
Morpheus: "If you say so."
After wishing her friends farewell, she makes her way to the locker…
Lucy, Lana, Lana, and Lisa (Bump into each other): "Oof!" (All fall to the floor): "Ah!"
Lucy: "Huh?" (Picks herself up): "What are you guys doing here?"
Lana (Stands up): "We go to the same school Luc."
Lucy: "I meant by Lincoln's locker."
Lisa (Picks herself up, along with Lola): "If you must know, I urgently need to acquirer Lincoln's assistance for at most important experiment?"
Lola: "What?! No way! I need Lincoln to be my partner for an upcoming pageant!"
Lisa (Raises a brow): "Partner?"
Lola: "It's not any pageant…" (Takes out a flyer with a smile): "It's a sister/brother pageant. And Lincoln is most qualified to be my partner."
Lana: "But I need Lincoln to be my co-mechanic for a race this weekend!"
Lucy (Goes up to the Locker): "Look guys, I really need Lincoln's help with this…"
Boy with a white hat (Closing the locker door with a confuse look on his face): "Umm… who's Lincoln?"
Lucy: "Oh…I'm…terribly sorry. I…I mean we thought you were somebody else."
Boy: "It's all good." (Walks away): "Later!"
Lucy: "Sigh! I sadly forgotten that Lincoln doesn't go to this school anymore." (Whispers to herself): "Again…"
Lana (Gets an idea): "I know…" (Takes out her cellphone): "I could call him."
Lola: "Oh no you don't!" (Tries to grab the phone): "I'm calling him!"
Lana (Tries to push Lola back): "Hey, get off!"
Lisa (Joins in the struggle): "May I need to remind you of my current situation?!"
Lucy: "If anybody going to call Lincoln…" (Joins in): "It's going to be me!"
But before the situation can get any worse…
Mr. Huggins (Snatches the phone): "I will be taking that!"
Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa (Stopped in the middle of what they're doing): "Huh?!"
Mr. Huggins: "I won't have a fight over a phone in my school!"
Lana: "Come on! It's the end of the day!"
Mr. Huggins: "But you're still on school grounds." (Looks at the phone): "Who were you trying to call anyway?"
Lucy: "Sigh, our brother."
Lola: "Lucy!"
Mr. Huggins: "Now listens Louds, you can talk to your brother when you get home later. And I don't want to see any more fights from you." (Drops the phone into Lana's hands): "Understand?"
Lana, Lola, Lucy, and Lisa: "Yes sir."
Mr. Huggins (Starts to walk away): "All right then." (Stops and turns around): "By the way…" (Gives a smile and wink): "Tell Lincoln I said hi." (Walks off): "Good day."
Bus Horn: "Honk! Honk!"
Bus Driver: "All aboard!"
Lola (Gets an idea): "Hmm..." (Runs towards the exit): "Hahaha!"
Lucy: "Huh?!" (Runs after Lola): "Oh no you don't!"
Mr. Huggins: "No running in my hall way!"
Lucy (Slows down): "Dang it!"
We then cut to the school bus as it arrives at Royal Woods Middle school.
Lola (Riding the bus with her sisters and classmates): "I'm telling you Lucy, Lincoln's going to want to sit next to me!"
Lucy: "I highly doubt that."
Lana: "What about me?"
Lisa: "I hate to break to you three, but according to my calculations, Lincoln would rather sit by me because I obtained the most comfortable seat on the bus."
Lynn (Takes the seat next to Lisa): "Sweet! The best seat on the bus!" (Ruffles her sister's hair): "Thanks for saving me a spot little sis."
Bus Driver (Closes the doors): "All right kids..." (Drives off): "Let's go!"
Lana: "Wait..." (Looks around): "Where's Lincoln?"
Lynn: "Oh, he's staying behind."
Lola: "What?"
Lynn: "Mr. Bolhofner is giving him and his class a huge test this Monday, so Lincoln's heading to the school library to get some books and have major study session. He's going to need it."
Lana: "But he's already pretty good in school."
Lynn: "So what? Mr.B is a rough and tough teacher. And knowing him, he could decide to give the test a day earlier, if he feels like it. Lincoln has the right idea to prepare early just in case."
Lucy (Lowers her head): "Sigh!"
Lynn: "Don't worry Luc you'll get to see him later."
Lucy: "Yeah..."
Lynn: "Now, who wants to play some paper football?"
Lana (Raises her hand): "I do!"
Lola: "Pass!"
Lisa: "I could use some calculation practice."
Lucy: "I'll just watch."
And so, after a few games of paper football, we time skip to the evening, where at the Loud House…
Lynn Sr. (Calling from the kitchen): "Dinner will be little late tonight kids!"
Lola (Pacing across the floor): "Where is he? Lincoln should have been back home hours ago."
Lana (Sitting on the couch with the others): "Maybe he's still at the library studying?"
Lisa: "That's not possible Lana, by this time the middle school library and campus should be closed off."
Lucy (Looks over at them): "Guys…"
Lola (Stops pacing and looks over): "What?"
Lucy: "Do any of you…miss Lincoln being in the same school as us?"
Lana (With a frown): "Well, I sure do."
Lisa: "It is reassuring to have somebody, who isn't our parental units, near to assist me, while not occupying our beloved home."
Lola (Crosses her arms in a huff): "I don't miss him one bit. Well…" (With a frown of her own): "…maybe a little."
Rita (Runs out of her room, while on the phone): "Don't worry honey!" (Grabs her coat and keys): "I'm coming!"
Lana: "What's going on Mom?"
Rita (Goes up to the front door): "No time to explain sweetie." (Opens and goes through it): "I have to go pick your brother up."
Lucy: "Huh? From where?"
But that question was not answered, as the door is closed, leaving the four young girls very confused…as well as concern.
