Months have passed since the conclusion of the Tournament of Power, where many mighty warriors fought to save the universe from erasure at the hands of the Omni King Zeno. Since their victory and departure from the challenge against the other universes, the seventh universe fell under another time of peace. With only the looming threat of Frieza still lurking among the stars, any other threat to the universe, or even to the Earth itself, had ceased. With the uninterrupted time of harmony, everyone continued living life as they would normally. However, while the Earth and it's inhabitants had come to know peace once again, a world far away from the blue and green orb fell under different circumstances. What would typically be a quiet and calm feeling on an familiar, yet oddly shaped world would soon be something far from either.

-BOOM-, the ground shook violently. While the first shockwave continued spreading through the land, a second burst soon followed, leaving the familiar blueish green landscape in a land far into the reaches of space to continue shaking. With nothing holding them back, two warriors, the source of these shockwaves, soon came into view in the open air. The two Saiyan combatants began trading blows once again as their training session continued. With each collision between the two, whether it be from fist or leg or even ki, the God of Destruction's unusually shaped world continued trembling from each strike.

"Come on Kakarot, is that all you got?!" the one spiky haired fighter said to the other shortly after reaching a pause from a deadlock. Seeing his rival Goku's current level of effort, the proud prince Vegeta showed more frustration and swung once again at his Saiyan rival, which was promptly blocked, though the force of the blow didn't go unnoticed by the familiar fighter in orange and blue.

"Ow ow ow, jeez Vegeta." Goku said as he shook off the force of the blow. While the Saiyan normally found his rival's blows to be painful, he quickly found that each strike seemed to hold more power than expected, especially since they were both sparring in their base forms. "I thought we were just doing a friendly match today. What's gotten into you?"

"Idiot! I don't care what kind of fight it is, I won't allow weakness of any kind, even from a moron like you! If you can't handle fighting in just our base forms, then just call it quits already! I'm in no mood to mess around Kakarot. Either take this seriously or I'll find someone who will." the prince declared, showing his trademark attitude towards the typical laid back demeanor being shown by his opponent.

"What? Someone else?" Goku exclaimed in astonishment. The idea of his strongest rival challenging others wasn't something that he expected to hear and the thought of it seemed to kick the black haired Saiyan into a higher gear. "Heh, well alright. If you insist then, HAAAA" Goku screamed, letting his power run wild to allow his body to undergo a familiar transformation. Shortly after, the warrior's hair and aura had turned to a golden hue, with specks of lighting sparking about to signify the completion of the form. "How about we kick this up to Super Saiyan 2?" While the golden aura continued enveloping Goku as he showcased his ki, Vegeta continued looking on with disappointment as he scowled at the other.

"Tsk, just '2'? You insult me Kakarot! HAAAA" Vegeta screamed in a similar fashion as the other had done. Soon enough, the once black hair of the prince changed to gold as well, with the signature effects of the form showcasing the completion of the same transformation as Goku's. "Though I suppose this will kick things up a bit."

"Heh. Let's do it! Here I come Vegeta!" Goku declared before flying quickly towards his armored opponent.

With their transformations decided and their ki still wildly running free from their forms, the two warriors continued sparring once again. Soon enough, the collisions began once more, shaking both the air and ground below from the force of each exchanged blow. While the two warrior's battled high in the sky, a pair of divine, yet familiar individuals were present on the ground level. With the time of peace, the two Saiyans had requested their usual mentors (or mentor rather) to oversee their training. Once in agreeance, the pair were being observed by the God of Destruction and his angel, though really only the latter of the two was taking notes of the match. While Whis continued observing in the open area, Beerus could be found nearby under a tree, using it's shade as a resting spot, all the while showing little interest in the fight.

"Hmm, seems Vegeta is in a sour mood today" Whis noted.

"And when exactly isn't he Whis? Pretty sure his default emotion is angry." Beerus taunted in response as he continued resting in the shade provided by a nearby tree. While the god remained in a laying position with eyes shut, he still stayed conscious enough to conversate with his attendant.

"I suppose you have a point. If that's the case though, I'm sure we can say your defaults are either hungry or tired." the angel joked. Though it was intended as such, the declaration of such seemed to gain the hairless cat's attention. Though he was still laying down in the grass, the retort gained attention as the hairless cat opened his eyes, allowing for a annoyed glare to be directed to the other.

"What was that Whis?" the destructive god replied, with a twinge of aggravation and malice in his voice. Seconds passed as the destructive being waited with bated breath for a response. After a moment, he found his attendant chuckling aloud, something that did not aid in soothing the feline's growing attitude.

"Nothing my lord. Just a little humor is all." the attendant responded, giving a friendly smile towards the other before turning back to the battle overhead. While the response wasn't something he found humorous in the slightest, Beerus huffed and moved to resume resting as he as he had been before. "Anyway, it is surprising to see those two only fighting in their ascended forms. I thought for sure they might try to improve upon their Super Saiyan Blue forms." Whis continued.

"Well what'd you expect? You never know what those punch happy jockeys will want to do. Pretty sure Goku would call this "starting out small and working up to it" or something like that. Besides, didn't you tell them this was only a refresher match? Something to make sure their skills aren't going rusty since the Tournament of Power."

"I did, yes, though its still surprising is all. I figured at least Vegeta would want to go all out for something like this." Whis explained while continuing to observe the two Saiyans compete against each other. As he did, the mentor began finding and noting several points of interest in the battle, something that seemed to give him concern. "Be that as it may, it would seem that this refresher course was the right call."

"Hmph. I suppose they've slacked off a bit since their victory over the other universes?"

"I'm afraid so my lord, in more places than one it would appear." Whis said. As his observations continued, he seemed to grow more concerned with what he was witnessing. While the power the two warrior's were letting off was no joke, it was difficult for the angel to deny that the two had several flaws, some of which hadn't been noted from either in some time. "I suppose they won't get anywhere as they are now." he said before suddenly calling out to the two, who were still in combat at the time. "Alright boys, that's enough. Let's call it for the moment shall we?"

The two Saiyans, who were both mid swing for another strike before hearing their mentor, stopped and looked down to the angel in surprise. While it wasn't unusual for Whis to suddenly end their match, this interruption came much sooner than any other time. Without much other choice, the two flew down and landed near the two gods, both dropping back to base form as they did.

"Hmph, that seemed a bit premature, don't you think Whis?" Vegeta said, showing his distaste for ending the match so soon, something that seemed to be shared by Goku as well.

"Yeah, I'm with Vegeta on this one. We barely even got started there. Is something wrong?" Goku asked as he searched for any reason behind the conclusion. Along with their disagreement, it was noticed that the two fighters were still breathing normally and barely had any damage from the battle on their beings, showcasing the difference between this sparring match and the other usual bouts.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't allow you two to continue. I'm afraid your both lacking in several areas, some of which we had covered and improved upon before." Whis explained, gaining a thing of curiosity from the two Saiyans as he did. "For starters, your both letting your ki run rampant again, even while your fighting. You both had your Super Saiyan energy enveloping your bodies from the moment you transformed. I know I've told you both why this isn't a good habit to fall under." It was clear that the mentor wasn't pleased with the reverse progression in progress the two had showed, and this was only after the first point.

"Sorry about that Whis. Honestly, I don't think either of us really noticed." Goku replied, attempting to give some reason for the action, though this didn't seem to help much in swaying the angel.

"Hmm...regardless, it's still something we need to address once more. I'm afraid that wasn't your only issue. Your usual emotional fighting has gotten out of hand today. Vegeta, I noticed your temper is flaring a bit on the heavy side this time around, while Goku's lackadaisical nature was on full display as well. While fighting with emotions isn't something that can cause too much harm, letting it show can allow your enemy to use that to their advantage."

"Ah cmon Whis, you said it yourself before, it's important to relax and take things at your own pace." Goku said, as he still attempted to give some benefit to his actions.

"Hmph, be that as it may, I'm only flared up because this idiot refuses to take things seriously." Vegeta added. With his arms crossed, he continued giving a light glare between his mentor and rival.

"Hey, you can't always blame me for that Vegeta. Would it kill you to actually try to be nice?"

"At this rate, probably." Beerus stated from afar, something that was heard and ignored by everyone else. While Beerus's taunt may have fallen on deaf ears, Goku's response did not as the prince quickly turned and faced the fighter.

"Listen here Kakarot!" Vegeta said angrily. "The tournament may be over and peace may have been restored, but don't think for a second that gives us any excuse to take things easy. Have you forgotten that bastard Frieza is still out there? For all we know, he could be getting stronger as we speak. We'd be fools to not do the same, especially with how quick he could gain strength again. That means we need to take things seriously, something you could try to do once in a while."

While tensions began to grow between the two as they continued bickering, Whis quickly moved to get them back on topic. "Alright boys that's enough. Frieza aside, this is exactly what I'm talking about. You both need to find a center for your emotions, a balance between calm and excited, a middle for anger and kindness. Controlling your emotions as such will allow you to at least recognize your other faults rather than thinking of excuses or blaming others for them." With his interruption, the two fighters seemed to calm down, at least enough to not be bickering anymore. "Now then, moving on with improvements, you both also-" Whis was saying before pausing suddenly midsentence. "Hmm, pardon me for a moment." the angel added before suddenly summoning his staff out of thin air. While the item didn't seem any different, everyone noticed that the blue orb attached to it was glowing a brighter blue, signaling some kind of activity. "Seems I'm getting a call." While the orb continued flickering on and off, Whis peered into the orb, allowing the call to be answered, though who it was could only be guessed by the others as the identity of the caller was only currently visible through the orb. "Hello?" Whis said aloud. Since the call was only being transmitted through the staff to Whis currently, anything that was said on the receiving end remained silent to the others, leaving them no choice but to stay silent as he continued to converse with the other end. "Mm hmm, very well, I will put him on. If you'll standby for but a moment." Whis said before turning towards Beerus, who was still relaxing with eyes shut under the tree. "My lord, you have a call."

"Tell them to call back later." the purple feline said, waving his hand towards the angel at the same time.

"I'm afraid that's not an option this time my lord." Whis added before tapping the ground with the staff once. Shortly after, the blue orb began glowing a slight hue of green as it began projecting the call for all to see. Soon enough, Heles, the God of Destruction of the 2nd Universe was visible. "Lord Heles, your present and online now." Whis announced, something that seemed to gain some interest from Beerus as he had opened his eyes at the announcement of the other god.

"Beerus, I trust you can hear me? You know it's not lovely to keep a maiden waiting, let alone a fellow god." she stated, clearly showing some annoyance at the feline's lack of interest in the call. Hearing that he didn't have much of a way to avoid this chat, the purple character was on his feet and casually approaching the staff in no time. With a quick yawn, the destroyer was facing the other. "Ah, there you are."

"What is it Heles? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"Clearly." she stated with a roll of the eyes. "I'm afraid this isn't a social call Beerus. I've come requesting your assistance."

"-huff-, my assistance?! And pray tell, what could a fellow destroyer need of me?"

"As you know, my universe is home to many unique creatures of love, each adding to the lovely stature my universe holds in it's symbol of unity above the others." Heles began saying, clearly beginning a rant of love as she did, something that everyone in the seventh universe seemed to wish to avoid.

"Destroyer, I don't suppose there would be direct route between here and the point your trying to make would there?" Vegeta stated, much to the surprise of the female god. Upon hearing the prince's taunt, she quickly noticed his presence, as well as Goku's, something that seemed to take her by surprise, though seemingly a welcome one. While she chose to ignore the taunt, she still showed some distaste at the comment. A moment after, she continued.

"Hmm, well I suppose your inclusions will make this much more simple for Beerus. Very well. My universe is usually filled with energy of love and support, something that helps maintain the balance in my realm. However, recently an odd energy has surged throughout the area, something I nor my attendant have experienced before. What's even more distressing is that we tracked the energy to a backwater planet called Earth. I'm sure at the least, the Saiyans are familiar with the planet yes?"

"Of course Lord Heles. The planet is currently the adopted homeworld of their race." Whis added.

"So tell me, how exactly does this concern me then? Don't you have your little posse of 'maidens' that could go check it out?" Beerus replied.

"I'm afraid my maidens are preoccupied at the moment with another task. As such, there aren't many others I would trust with overseeing this. Seeing the origin of the energy is from a planet you are somewhat familiar with, I figured you would be best to call."

"Hmph, well forget it." Beerus said, crossing his arms and turning his back to the staff. "Go find someone else to look into this. The seventh universe has it's own problems. We don't need to be adding other universe's issues to ours." Hearing the feline's refusal was something that seemed to upset Heles, though oddly enough it seemed like something she had expected.

"I believed this to be the case. And here I was hoping that you would be lovely for a change and extend your assistance to a fellow god of your own accord. Be that as it may however, I'm afraid that I won't allow your refusal this time Beerus."

"Oh really? And just what would you do if I still refused?" Beerus replied all the while still talking over his shoulder. Upon hearing the other's taunt, a moment of silence fell on the group before Heles continued.

"Tell me Beerus, do you remember the planet Yeresh?"

"So what if I do." he responded, with a thing of curiosity and a well hidden thing of growing anxiety.

"Well, I'm sure you also remember what happened on that planet. Not too many people are still alive to tell that tale. It would be a shame if such a story were to be told around the multiverse, wouldn't it." While most of the audience to the conversation was unaware of the event in question, the mention of the unspoken tale seemed to get the attention of the purple destroyer. With his attention back fully on the conversation, it continued.

"So that's your move Heles. Blackmailing me into helping you?" he said with anger brimming.

"Although it's not very lovely for a maiden to do, it can bring about lovely results yes? So Beerus, I trust I can depend on your cooperation then?"

It was difficult to deny that Heles had Beerus in a tough spot. Even those who didn't know the story of the planet Yeresh could tell that even the mere mention of it seemed to disturb the feline. With the question still hanging in the silent air, no one dared to break the tension as it felt as if the very energy of destruction was laced into the feeling. Soon enough however, after several moments, Beerus moved to continue the conversation.

"-sign-, fine! But I don't want to hear a word of Yeresh after this, are we clear?!" Beerus announced to the other destroyer, who chuckled at the sudden outburst of agreeance.

"Of course my dear. Find out the source of the energy and make sure it isn't something that will harm the balance of my universe. Do that, and you have nothing to worry about. I'll have Sour send the coordinates to Whis here shortly. Farewell everyone." Before any retorts or comments could be made, the destroyer of the second universe had ended the call, leaving the two Saiyans and gods to their own once more. While Goku and the other two remained as calm and curious as ever, Beerus seemed to be struggling with his own emotions, something that wasn't be hidden very well from the others.

"AGHH, damn that Heles! Blackmailing me into doing something so trivial. Whis, get ready to transport us to the second universe's Earth. The sooner we knock this thing out, the better."

"Very well my lord. Shall I transport the Saiyans back to their Earth as well?"

"No! Listen up you two, your going to help me get to the bottom of this. Refuse and I'll destroy you both on the spot! Are we clear?" While threats of destruction weren't something uncommon from the destroyer god, neither Goku nor Vegeta wanted to test the anger that was currently present. With only a gulp to show their hesitation at testing his anger, both nodded in agreeance. "Good, now then, let's get going."

"Uh, Lord Beerus...sorry to ask, but before we go, what exactly is planet Yeresh?" Goku asked curiously.

While the question was something that was asked out of curiosity and a non threatening manner, the god in question did not seem to take it as such. Before an answer could be given, Goku was suddenly sent towards a nearby rock within the blink of an eye. With Goku currently out of sight, the other two watched silently as the event occurred, both shocked of the sudden assault on the powerhouse.

"Anymore questions about Yeresh?" Beerus asked Whis and Vegeta, both of whom still stayed silent. "Good. Vegeta, go gather up that fool. Once he's back, we're departing."

"Right away my Lord." Vegeta said with no hesitation or disagreement. The prince flew off to locate and gather Goku while Beerus and Whis stayed behind.

"I must say Lord Beerus, I haven't seen you this fired up since you lost that bet with your brother sometime ago."

"Drop it Whis. I know you don't know much about Yeresh either. Just leave it at it being a long story, one I would rather leave like the planet: destroyed." Beerus stated in a cold and unforgiving like tone.

"As you wish my Lord."

With their begrudging agreeance to help the other universe, the four prepared to depart to find out just what could cause such an issue in another universe. Soon enough, Whis was transporting them all towards the universe of love. Meanwhile however, in that very universe, on the planet of Earth, a young boy stood on a balcony of a beachside home. The air around was silent, with only a slight ocean side breeze to rustle through the area. The adolescent, who was dressed in his usual pink jacket, black t shirt, jeans, and flip flops continued staring into the vast body of water, all the while taking in the peace and quiet. The house itself, which would normally be filled with his friends and family, was vacant at the moment as each individual was busy with their own task in the neighboring towns nearby, something the boy was both relieved and upset about. While the environment around the beach house may have been peaceful, the mind of Steven Universe was anything but. Through the wind of the area, the gem/human hybrid could still hear the roars and distress that befell the beach just weeks ago, when he himself had transformed into something horrendous. He could remember each roar of anger, pain, and sorrow that he let out, each burst of energy that he wildly unleashed, and each plea from his friends and family for him to calm down. Thankfully, they managed to bring him back from such a change, but the scars of the event, as well as his whole life really, still plagued his mind. Since his realization that he was not the monster he believed himself to be, the boy had tried to find peace in his life, though even that seemed like a task too great to achieve. With the house still silent, the hybrid continued to be 'comforted' by his thoughts as the day didn't hold much for him to do.

"sigh, 'guess I should get the day started. No sense standing around here.'" Steven thought. Before moving anywhere however, he continued leaning on the balcony edge while he reached into his pocket for his phone. With the press of a button, the phone lit up to show no new messages or calls. 'Guess everyone's busy today.' he continued in a somber like tone.

As quick as the phone was brought out, it was put away. Steven sighed aloud once more and moved away from the balcony edge. Before he got far however, he found himself being pinned to the wooden frame by a large creature. While the action caused him to raise his shield as a reaction, Steven quickly found that a large pink lion had pounced onto him. Now recovered from the initial shock of the occurrence, Steven dissipated his shield while Lion continued standing above him, with his usual blank feline stare.

"Aw, hey buddy. Sorry about that. Thought you might have been Bluebird or something for a second there. How ya doing?" Steven said to the beast while rubbing the side of his mane. Lion simply replied with a huff and a friendly lick to the other, a gesture that Steven didn't dislike.

"Heh, thanks Lion." the boy said before getting back onto his feet. "Not sure where you came from though." The pink feline simply continued staring before pushing his snout into Steven's face. The action caused the adolescent to chuckle more as his woeful thoughts seemed to disappear. "Heh heh, alright Lion, alright. I get it. No feeling sorry for myself." he said pushing the cat away. "Thanks buddy. Cmon, since you here now, what do you say we get something to eat?"

With only a huff, Lion began following Steven toward the entrance of the home. Before the two could enter into the home however, the beach house suddenly shook, as well as the beach itself. With the uneven footing, Steven moved to cling to the balcony edge once again. While he did however, something caught his attention. Just before the corner of the beach, a large pillar of light was found to be striking the ground. Just as soon as he found the pillar, it, along with the earthquake, disappeared, leaving what appeared to be four individuals standing in it's place, each of whom seemed odd in appearance (one of them seemed like a hairless, purple cat?), though it could just be from the distance the two areas had between each other.

"Huh, that's new." Steven said curiously towards the sudden appearance. "What do you think Lion, should we check it out?" he playfully asked the feline, who seemed to be more interested in the group on the beachside then anything, something Steven found to be somewhat distressing. Lion normally didn't bother himself with things unless he felt some issue with it (much like he had done with Steven's internal conflict from before), so seeing the pink feline give this new group so much attention was unsettling to say the least. "I'll take that as a yes."

Not wanting to miss a beat, Steven began to depart from the balcony of the beach house with Lion and began moving towards this unknown group of individuals, unaware of the reason behind their appearance on the beach, as well as the universe overall.

...

And here we go, welcome peoples to this mess I've decided to start. Two very different shows collide!

Some points for the story: I'm inserting the SU cast and story into the dragon ball super universe (with as much 'love' and such that the show seems to go on about, it seemed like a good fit for universe 2...you know, where the theme is literally of love.
Yes, there will be some cursing (probably mostly from Vegeta, least I'm assuming so off the top of my head lol).

Not looking to make this too long (so far thinking no more than 20 chapters, but I'm not holding myself to that either as things can change).

Overall, looking forward to writing this out. Has been on the schedule to attempt for sometime now. Hopefully I can do both shows justice through writing.

Thanks for stopping out for the first chapter. Hope the first one was good! As for an update schedule...I don't have one really. I try to update at the very least, once a week, though it's possible that more updates will occur than that.

Again, thanks all for stopping out. Hope this thing kicks off well! Be back soon for chapter 2, where we see the two groups meet up.
