Chapter 1 Duelist Tutor

Sitting at a bench was a young man that resembles Masamune Date from Sengoku Basara without the eye patch but he was wearing a white shirt with a blue jacket and black pants, called Ryu Kiryu.
He was relaxing with a smile on his face, but he then grunts since he has to go a normal school.
"Well might as well just finish the year, I already graduated from Duel Academy."Ryu said.
When Ryu finished Duel Academy he needed to do final years in a normal school which made him irritated but what's he going to do, he found a school and they were impressed with his scores since despite the easy going attitude and his love of dueling Ryu was actually smart.
The school he joined was Asahiyama High School, he was now at the cafeteria and he was looking at the lunch menus.
"I'll take the beef bowl."He said and the lunch lady gave him the combo.
He goes to find a seat and many were looking at him.
"Hey isn't that Ryu Kiryu?"
"It is, what's he doing in our school?"
"Yeah he should be with the pros to get the title of King of games."
"He's so dreamy."
He then finds a seat with a table and puts his tray down but then someone does the same, he looks to see a girl who is not wearing the school uniform. She had medium-length reddish-orange hair and a large ahoge. She had a notable pair of stair hairpin accessories near both of her eyes.
"Hey I found this seat first, go find another."She said.
Ryu just sighs and said:"Look theres two seats, i'll sit in this one and you'll be in front, i'll be blocking the sun even."
She then pouts and sits in front of him, she was looking nervous staring at her food and he noticed her lunch choice and shrimp and pudding. What the hell, who spends that much for food?
He shakes his head and starts to eat while looking at the mock test he had to test his skills.
"Isn't that a bit rude don't you think?"He looks at her."You're studying in the middle of lunch?"
"I'm just checking my last exam."He said.
"Oh?"She has a devious smirk."You must have gotten a pretty rotten grade huh? Can I take a look?"She takes the exam.
"Oi!"He said.
""Let's see here… Ryu Kiryu. You scored a…" Her eyes traveled to the bottom of the page before she looked shocked."A... 97!"
"So what, I'm trying to keep my grades up so I don't flunk and spend another year here."Ryu said and he takes the paper back while eating.
"Im sorry. I hate to admit it, but I'm not that great with my own studies. I envy you."She said making Ryu look at her, she looks like she's trying her best but couldn't.
"Well keep it up the only failure is giving up."He said.
"I know!" She clapped her hands together bringing Ryu's attention."Lady luck must have brought you to my table! You should help me study!"
Ryu thinks about it, he got a new job being a tutor before coming here, it seems a rich was impressed with his skills and asked him to tutor his kid, he also has his extra job he has but why not.
"Okay, I already accepted a job to tutor tomorrow and I have a extra work but I have time after school."He said making her smile."So meet me at the library and bring your recent test."
"Wait you want to study in school?"She got surprised.
"Well yeah, where do you think we should go?"He said.
"My house."She said.
"Yeah bad idea, that would cause a rumor between us along with your parents trying to kill me."Ryu said.
"Oh."She can see he had a point."Okay we'll meet after school."
"Wait I never got your name."Ryu said.
"I'm Itsuki Nanako."
He nodded and they finished lunch then he goes off.
Later Ryu was at the library looking at the books he had picked and he then takes out his deck and checks his cards.
He heard the door opened and he puts the cards away, he saw Itsuki come in."Hey Itsuki."
"Oh Ryu."She said and looks around."No one else is here."
"Not surprising since most would rather go out or are in clubs."Ryu said."But let's get started."
She sits down and gives him her exam with a blush in her face.
He sees it and was surprised."Well, it's not Impossible, I had to help a friend of mine and I'll say this, we just need to start where you first shown a sign of trouble then work out way up."
She got surprised, none of her tutors did that for her, she nodded with a smile."Yes."
Next day
Ryu was walking foward in the cafeteria with a tray in his hands, he then saw Itsuki sitting at a table with a group of girls.
"Oh she made new friends."He said."Oi Itsuki!"
She then got surprised and saw him, he goes up to her and said:"I just wanted-"He then got cut off when a girl put a arm foward but she wasn't looking at him.
She has red hair and twin butterfly-shaped ribbons.
"Okay creep, are you trying too..."She then looks at Ryu and stopped looking at him.
"Yes?"He said.
She was blushing and thinking to herself: Oh my god, he's so hot!
"Hello Ryu."Itsuki said."Can we talk another time I'm a little busy."
"Well... Okay I'll see you later."Ryu said and he walks away.
"Who was that hottie?!"Nino said Itsuki.
"That was Ryu Kiryu."She said a little nervous.
"So that was the guy that you were studying with."Ichika said.
Yotsuba then saw card come out of Ryu and she picks it up, she turns it around and saw it was a monster.
"Oh it's a duel monster."She said.
"That popular game."Miku said.
"Yes, it must be from Ryu."Yotsuba said.
They looked at her and Nino said:"So what's it called?"
"Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon."Yotsuba said.
Then the other students heard and they got stunned.
"Did she just say..."
"Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"
She looks back."What?"
"Quick get the card!"They all charged at her scaring Yotsuba.
Nino kicks many back and said:"Back off!"
Yotsuba runs off and said:"I need to give this back."
Ryu sitting at a table eating lunch, then Yotsuba jumps to the seat in front of him surprising Ryu.
"Made it, here."She presente Odd-Eyes.
"Odd-Eyes!"He got shocked and takes him back."Hey thanks."
"Your welcome, but man, a lot of the guys here wanted to take it away."She said.
"Well there must be many duelists, when they see a rare card they will jump at the chance."Ryu said."So thanks."
"Your welcome, so you are a duelist?"She asked.
"Of course, I am one of the best."He said.
"That's cool, I'm Yotsuba if your curious, can I see your deck?"She asked.
"I only show off my cards in duels."He said making her pout.
"Come on."Yotsuba said.
"Maybe another time."Ryu said.
"Okay, but what are you going to do now?"She asked.
"I have some stuff to do, so."He finishes up his lunch."Bye."He leaves.
"Okay, bye."She waves at him.
After class
Ryu arrives at a fancy appartment building and he got a text of the guy that hired him."This is the place?"He checks the text."Wait, Nanako, is this guy Itsuki's father."
He goes inside and enters the building when a couple went inside, he goes to a elevator and goes up, he arrives at the door that has the Nanako family name on the side.
He sighs and knocks on the door.
"I'm coming."Then the door opened to reveal Itsuki and she got stunned."R-Ryu?"
"Yeah, looks like I'm your tutor."He said.
What?"She got surprised.
She then thinks that this shouldn't be possible, but then again Ryu has been helping her much better than any other tutor they had before.
"Well come in."She said and he goes inside.
"Hey nice place you have here."He said.
"Thanks, do you know what this job is about?"She asked.
"Do you have sibblings?"He asked.
"Well..."She tried to say.
Then the door opens and they saw her sisters come in.
"Hey Itsuki who was that we heard?"Nino said and they saw Ryu.
"Yo."He waves at them with a smile.
They got stunned seeing him and Nino points at him."What are you doing here?!"
"I'm your new tutor."He said.
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you, i'm Ichika."She said with a smile.
"I'm Miku."She looked nervous.
"You know, I'm Yotsuba."She was excited.
"Fine I'm Nino."
"Well nice to meet you all, so why don't you girls start to tell me what you girls are bad at?"He said.
"I'm not good at anything."Yotsuba said.
He stares at her."Maybe a actual point of time when it started."
"Well, I guess it started for all of us."Ichika said.
"Okay, that helps me."He said.
Miku sits down and he notices she has a book on the sengoku period."Oh so you like that time period."
"Uh, yes."She nodded.
"Well that's great."He said since that's very close to what he likes."I also find that period interesting."
She got surprised and Nino sits down at the table."So what are we going to do now?"
Before he could answer he heard a knock on the door, they gto confused and he goes to answer it himself.
"Hey."Itsuki said.
He opens it and saw no one before he looks down, he got surprised to see 2 yeard old, he has short, light-colored hair and a sleepy look on his face and was wearing a shirt with a tiger on it.
"Kotaro!"Ryu said.
"Big bro."He puts his arms up.
"Big bro!"The girls got surprised.
Ryu picks up Kotaro and chuckles."Yeah, this is my little brother Kotaro."He shows him to them.
They all blushed seeing how cute he is and the aura Ryu was giving off when they're together.
"You shouldn't have followed me, but anyway let's get started."Ryu said.
Note:Here's a new story that's actually a prequel to Ever After High Let's Duel, yes this takes place before Ryu got sent there and it focuses more on the normal life he had before.
