Meeting Trixie
"Tommy, I want you to meet someone very special. This is your sister, Trixie. Trixie, this is Tommy," Didi smiled, putting a free hand around her son's back.
"Baby!" Tommy gasped in wonder, smiling as Trixie looked up at him.
So that's what a baby looked like! Something wrapped nice and warm in a pink blanket.
Didi's smile widened, seeing him reach out towards his new baby sister. "See? They already love each other."
Trixie, sucking on her pacifier, placed her hand on Tommy's.
So that's what Mommy and Daddy meant by a big brother! He certainly looked big!
After a while, Tommy noticed how sleepy Trixie and his mommy were as his daddy carried him out of the room so they could rest.
"Was she prettyful?" Lil asked him once the grownups had put them in the playpen.
"Well she gots Mommy's hair but Trixie was very quiet," Tommy admitted. "But that's okay! The whole wide world's new to her!"
"I'm happy for you Tommy but I was hoping it'd be a boy," Phil admitted. "But now we gots this big problem with your sister being here."
"What is it?" Chuckie wondered.
"What do you mean I'm not Grandpa Lou's only granddaughter anymore?! Daddy, that's not fair! I don't wanna share with a dumb baby!"
Angelica's temper tantrum answered his question as the babies, except Tommy, shuddered in terror.
Tommy was livid. How dare she call his baby sister dumb when she was only born minutes ago!
"Tommy, are you okay?" Chuckie asked.
Tommy turned to him, his screwdriver clenched in his hand. "I don't like Angelica calling Trixie dumb and since I'm her big brother, I'll protect her for a very long time no matter what!"
"That's a lot for a big brother to do," Lil smiled. "We'll help you!"
Phil rolled his eyes. "We will?" Feeling a nudge from his sister, he jumped. "I mean we will!"
"Thanks guys," Tommy smiled.
His smile altared a few minutes later, hearing Trixie wailing and seeing his uncle dragging Angelica by her ear.
Whatever Angelica did to Trixie while visiting his mommy, he didn't like it.
Not at all.
