The Unexpected

In a desert on a strange world a storm begins to form. The storm zaps with blue, red and green lightning and sounds with a thunderous rage. Until blue lightning strikes the ground followed by red and green in that order. The centre of the strikes lie two men and one woman who go by the names Edmund Rockwell, Helena Walker and The Survivor.

"Ah, dammit. God that hurts." Rockwell yells in pain.

Helena says while grinding her teeth "I won't argue there Edmund."

The Survivor just grunts in pain as he attempts to stand.

Minutes pass by and what had seemed hours to Rockwell, Helena and the Survivor. They properly stand up and try to stay up and attempt to piece together where they are. The trio walk for hours in an attempt to find someone or somewhere more habitable.

Helena yells at Rockwell "Where are we Rockwell?! Where on Earth happened here!"

"I don't know Helena. Unless we're in the Sahara desert I don't know." Rockwell replied calmly.

The Survivor just took in the surrounding looking for a sign of life and spotted and a cloaked figure on a weird ball and tapped on Rockwell's and Helena's shoulders. They both turned to the Survivor who was gesturing to the figure. Rockwell looked cautiously at the figure and Helena started sprinting to it.

"Ah dammit, Helena." Rockwell muttered as he signed gesturing to the Survivor to catch up with Helena. The Survivor nodded and they both started running to Helena.

The figure sees moving objects running to them the halts and dismounts. Helena stops a metre away from the strange cloaked figure. The stare at each other in silence while Rockwell and the Survivor cease movement next to Helena. Then Helena breaks the silence.

"Hi." Helena says softly with a little wave.

"Who are you?" A feminie voice demands as puts her right foot forward.

Rockwell speaks up defying his better judgement "I am Edmund Rockwell, the one in the middle is Helena and to her other side, we just call him Survivor he is capable of speaking just doesn't say anything."

The Survivor just nods confirming he just doesn't say anything and that he isn't mute.

The figure then says as she pulls her mask down and removes her hat. "I'm Raya and the armadillo is Tuk Tuk."

Rockwell then states "The last I saw an armadillo it was small not this big."

"Nice to meet you, Raya and Tuk Tuk." Helena said while elbowing Rockwell in the stomach.

Raya then asks "What brought you out here?"

"Your guess is better than ours I suppose." Rockwell said sarcastically.

Helena then says "We are still trying to figure that out."

Raya looks at them suspiciously until Helena asks "What brings you out here?"

Raya replies "I'm looking for something."

"Well, what can we do to help out?" Rockwell asked then said "Sense we don't have a clue where we are."

Raya said "Okay, but you must do what I say when I say."

The trio nodded and made their way to the edge of a river where a ship lies in ruins. Raya said "Wait here." The Survivor then began to walk around the area avoiding the ship. Helena started to draw in the sand while Rockwell when to closely inspected what Raya is hiding. He saw her kneeling down on a mat barefoot. Rockwell thought it was some religious thing like praying he was interested in it.

Raya mumbled something Rockwell couldn't nor would care to hear. Then the water began to reverse catching Rockwell's eye playing with his mind. Rockwell then noticed water droplets start rise and enter the ship. Unfortunately the Survivor and Helena didn't notice it because of how preoccupied with what they were doing.

Tuk Tuk made a sound trying to get Raya's attention and surely got the other twos attention. Raya then noticed the bubbles as they closed on each other and causing a bright light. When the light died down a creature that looked as a dragon.

Raya said "Sisu!"

Then the dragon asked "Who said that?" And turned so fast its tail whipped around and whacked Raya in the face.

"Raya!" Rockwell shouted then the Survivor and Helena rushed in to be meet the visuals of a dragon.

The dragon apologised and wiped the dust of Raya and said "Wow, More people."

The Survivor just said "Wow."

Rockwell then stated sarcastically while glaring "What do you know Survivor says his first word at the sight of a talking dragon and not at the literally first meeting of all the mythological beings from the Arks."

"Well, how about some introductions you know, don't want to be rude." Rockwell said politely.

The dragon then said "I'll go first I'm Sisu and I am a pretty good swimmer."

Rockwell then said sarcastically "Because that makes sense in a desert." Causing Helena to elbow him. Rockwell then said "Ow, Okay, I am Edmund Rockwell."

Helena then says "I am Helena Walker and this is Survivor." She then points at the Survivor.

Raya says "And I'm Raya of Heart."

Sisu then asks "So what happened while I was gone."

Raya then told the story to the group. When Raya revealed a piece of the Dragon Gem. Rockwell and the Survivor both were interested in the gem because of its similar glow compared to Element. Helena noticed Sisu looking non to happy with the gems fate.

Sisu said furiously "You broke it."

Raya then said defensively "I didn't break it, at least we still have a chunk of it."

Sisu asked plane faced "And that supposed to make me feel better?" Then says "When something happens to a puppy you can't just at least we still have a chunk of it."

"Doesn't matter who broke the damn thing but it does matter on fixing the damn thing, and if can't fix it, we just have to build one." Rockwell stated.

Helena then asks Rockwell "How do suppose we do both?"

Sisu then asks the Survivor "What's up them?" And the Survivor just shrugs in response.

Raya asked hopefully "Can you just make a new one?"

Sisu then states "No, I just can't make another one."

Rockwell then says "Well, that knocks one that off the list."

"Right then how do we fix it?" Helena asked politely.

"I don't know." Sisu replies sadly as she lifts up the gem fragment and stares at it.

Then Sisu begins to glow in a similar fashion and Rockwell walks closer and stares the glow whispering to himself "How does this work? Bioluminescent? Radioactivity? Could it be?" then Rockwell said "No, it couldn't be."

Raya then says "Sisu you're glowing."

Sisu replies "Oh really, Thanks. I've been you river algae-"

Rockwell interrupts "No, I think she means you're actually glow."

Sisu looks at herself amazed "I got the glow."

Helena says "What do you mean you got the glow."

Sisu then explained "It's my sister Amba's magic."

"So if that was stored in the fragment and you gained whatever it held. That should mean there is still a connection enabling that transfer." Rockwell said then asked "Am I right?"

Raya then said "Yes, that means we can fix the Dragon Gem and save the world."

Helena said enthusiastically "What are we waiting for."
