Legend of the Guardians of Xadia

Legend of the Guardians AU. For much of his life, Callum and Ezran heard stories about the Guardians of Xadia. Unfortunately, one night, Callum becomes captured by High mage Viren, for he is the first human Sky mage. Together, he and a moonshadow elf named Rayla escape and, with the help of Ezran, Zym, other moonshadow elves, Nyx, and Pyrrah, set out to seek the Guardians of Xadia.

1. Prologue

A/N: As you can tell, this is a Legend of the Guardians: the Owls of Ga'Hoole AU that loosely follows the movie's storyline. It will somewhat diverged from canon, but not too much.

Legend tells of a group of noble draconic and elven warriors called the Guardians of Xadia. A band of dragons and elves who represent the six primal sources of magic: the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Sky, and the Ocean, and led by a king or queen of the dragons. Whenever there is trouble, they'll be sought out for they are swore to protect Xadia and all who live in it.

For centuries, they defended Xadia from humans who were banished to the west from Xadia as punishment for development of Dark Magic by a human mage, for it uses the essence within magical creatures themselves to unleash dark power, and thus the continent is divided into two. In the west, the human kingdoms, and to the east, the magical lands of Xadia.

For centuries, the king of the dragons and current leader of the Guardians of Xadia, Avizandum, defended the border. He was named "Thunder" by the humans for both the ground and sky shook when he spoke.

Unfortunately, everything changed when two humans, King Harrow of Katolis and his advisor, Lord Viren, crossed into Xadia and used unspeakable Dark Magic to slay Avizandum. Then, without mercy, they destroyed his only egg, his heir, the Dragon Prince.

Now, the world stands on the edge of all-out war.
