I don't own the Tudors.
Chapter 1
Thomas Boleyn was portrayed as ambitious and aimed to raise his ranks for his family. He was the son of Sir Boleyn and managed to score a marriage to his wife, Elizabeth Howard. He gained the status and positions while Howard gained his connection to his wealth.
They had four children that made it to adulthood.
The First is Mary, then Anne, then George, and finally the miracle child, Beatriz. Thomas made an effort to educate his children in arithmetic, elementary law, her family genealogy, grammar, history, reading, spelling, and writing, even horseback riding. The girls are still being taught in womanly arts conversation skills, dancing, drawing, embroidery, forms of address, good manners, household management, music, needlepoint, poetry, and singing, games such as backgammon, cards, checkers, chess, and dice, gambling, and outdoor pursuits such as archery, bowls, falconry, and hunting.
In 1514, Mary was selected as one of the English noblewomen to accompany Princess Mary (Henry VIII's youngest sister) to France to marry King Louis XII of France. She was later joined by her younger sister, Anne. The latter had been studying in the Netherlands.
From 1513 to 1514, she attended Archduchess Margaret of Austria in the Netherlands and learned French under the teaching of Symmonet, a male tutor in Margaret's household. She was then transferred to Paris, France, as a lady-in-waiting for Queen Claude; both Claude and Margaret were very impressed with Anne's conduct and intellect.
Around 1514, Beatriz Boleyn was noticed by the Dowager Queen Margaret Tudor, who took a liken to the brave and boisterous child who loved horses and suggested the dowager queen take hers since it is sturdier and faster. Beatriz didn't know that she was taking to the Queen of Scotland herself at that time.
Margaret had decided to take Beatriz Boleyn as her lady-in-waiting to Scotland.
This was a surprised everyone at the Boleyn household and the entire English court.
Everyone knows that Margaret Tudor was an arrogant and proud woman who wished to take the youngest Boleyn girl into her court.
Thomas Boleyn was eagerly pleased that such a position was great thou he was often worried since Scotland and England were at each other throats for centuries of trying to outdo or bad blood.
Beatriz Boleyn traveled to Scotland and learned everything in court. Despite more wet and cold weather, she enjoyed it, but their feast often helped their hearts and kept their spirits high as the heavens.
That is until Thomas Boleyn sent the letters to his youngest daughter; she spoke in French in her letters and made the second page of her Scottish Gaelic written on it.
In 1517, Margaret Tudor was at war with her second husband and quickly wished to divorce him. Beatriz is disgusted at the second husband, Lord of Angus.
There is already tension and fear of what will happen to the dowager queen. Beatriz feared what would happen to the Queen, but herself as other ladies-in-waiting's that served her grace. They had already divided into two groups, one who agreed to queen Margaret's decisions to divorce others not.
Beatriz came forward and suggested something brilliant. "My Queen, may I speak my mind?"
Margaret looked drained from the stress but beautiful all the same.
"You may."
"They said that you are married before the eyes of God. However, I had to visit someone who collected records, and I had paid him to show me the papers of Lord Angus."
Margaret looked surprised and ordered her to speak.
"The bishops themselves give a marriage contract as he is promised to wed Jane Stewart, and this marriage can be considered…."
"Null and voided as this is not a real marriage." Margaret finished Beatriz. The Queen smiled and ordered Beatriz to bring in the person who Beatriz paid.
Long Story Short, the Bishop who happens to be the one with King James god rest his son had approved this marriage contract and was well-received pence's.
Margaret knew they would try to take many allies and friends away from her so, Margaret ordered Beatriz to return home as she had paid her a pretty large sum of money to her family and added her dowry for any wealthy man wished to marry.
Beatriz couldn't disobey her command as she viewed her as a motherly figure and life-long friend.
"Here, this is the tartan Earasaid that was gifted to me by King James, and now you will wear as you are a Scot just as you are English. And this brooch is from me." Beatriz gazed at the broach with such detail and in the middle showed a stag.
"You are a stag, and I'm a she-wolf. We have the power to get where we are. Don't make a mistake as I did once you are in my brother's court."
She kept the teachings and carved them into her heart.
Beatriz had set sail back to England, keeping the belongings of Queen Margaret and her words. The Boleyn welcomed their youngest daughter back home and her belongings, and the gold gave favor to the Boleyn. Along with her own to add in her dowry.
Beatriz told her family of her time in Scotland and of Queen Margaret court. She has a slight accent, thanks to her time in Scotland.
Her sense of fashion shows her Scotland favored even though her sisters favored France. Beatriz couldn't think of her life on why everyone like the style of French does instead of the natural clothes that shows more virtues, but great strength like the Scots woman had worn.
'Oh well,' She shrugged off. 'At least I will enjoy the peace with my family a while longer.'
1518
King Henry's uncle, the Ambassador to Urbino, is assassinated by the French.
And that is when the accurate planning to put the Boleyn position to gamble their future or forfeit their life.
Reviews are welcome.
I said no offense to anyone such as French or Scots because you must remember this was how the English felt towards these two countries, so Beatriz felt alien towards these countries.
Beatriz - A Spanish name derived from the Latin name Beatrix, which means "happy." It is also considered an alternative spelling for "Beatrice."
An earasaid,[1] or arasaid[1][note 1] is a draped garment worn in Scotland as part of traditional female highland dress. It may be a belted plaid (literally, a belted blanket), or an unbelted wrap. Traditionally, earasaids might be plain, striped [2] or tartan;[3] they might be brightly coloured[3] or made of lachdan (dun or undyed) wool.[2] Some colours were more expensive than others.[4] Modern highland dress makes earasaids from the same heraldic tartan cloth used for kilts.
