Kuri was in the middle of Bellwood, when a boy was struck down by some kind of monster. The boy was her age, with brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing green too. That was Ben Tennyson! She'd seen him around.
Kuri grabbed him and pulled him away from the monster, panting. "Ouch. You ok?"
Ben groaned. "Y-Yea. What about you?"
"I-I think so…" Kuri picked up a large green watch. "It fell out of your pocket."
"Oh! Thanks." Ben took it from her. "You're not hurt?"
"I-I don't think so." Kuri checked herself. "It barely missed me."
Suddenly the alien struck out at them, but then recoiled after scratching Kuri, and flailed, trying to get the blood off itself.
Kuri wiped the blood off her arm. It was silver. "What the…"
Ben put the watch on and got in front of Kuri. "Hey! Leave her alone!"
