NOTES: Before you read this, just a few things.
1: I do not own the characters of Deltarune, they belong to the amazing Toby Fox.
2: This is based on the aftermath of "Chapter 2"…and some moments from the game won't be in this story. (Like the thornring and other small information). Some dialog is from the game with a few of my own add-ons.
3: This is just a fanfiction and I'm in control. This is my vessel. Life is to short to get offended by a fanfiction.
4: If you know me, most of my stories will start with a T-Rating but will end up as M-Rated. Due to the content. Even this first chapter is boarder-lining that.
5: Some characters may be Over the Top (OTT) or Out of Character (OOO). Plus, they are 18+ in this story.
6: This WILL get dark.
7: I'm also making this up on the spot and letting the dialog carry the story…so I'm actually unsure how long this story will be.
8: There will be warnings on each chapter, so not to offend.
9: I like to write in script form, as I do like to focus on the dialog.
10: Also, it wouldn't surprise me if other writers have done the same as I'm doing…and probably better. But for now, just…enjoy. If you don't like, than that's fine. I'm not forcing you to read this. (Smiles)

Chapter 1
It was just a dream…
It was just a dream…

…It was just a dream, wasn't it?

Noelle is a reindeer-like monster with short brown fur, a red nose, freckled cheeks, and prominent front teeth, as well as a pair of small antlers atop her head. She walks upright, and has long blonde hair. She wears a red and green checkered sweater with a grey romper underneath normally for college.
It was morning.
Suddenly Noelle woke up, with cold sweat dripping down her face and breathing heavily…it took her a while to realise where she was, in the comfort of her own home. She sighed with relief but still trying to catch her breath. Despite it being a new day…did the events of yesterday really happen? There was a list of things that she needed to know…
Was the dark world real?
Did she meet a strange robot called queen who captured her to make her…happy?
Did she really make out with Susie in the Ferris wheel?
And did Kris…do…"that?"
Sadly, she didn't know the answer but it did give her a nagging feeling that, was the dream real? And if so…if so…did Kris really…
The thought was not even worth thinking off…it was just a dream afteral, but why would she dream of "that?"…everything else was…great, especially with Susie. How they kissed, passionately…and how soft Susie touched her…
NOELLE: (Sighs) It wasn't real…
Noelle climbed out of bed but as soon as she moved she felt her groin area irritably ache. It was a strange sensation…but then the more she moved, the more comfortable she felt. That was strange. She shrugged it off and went to her on-suite bathroom and shower, turning the nozzle on for the warm water and getting ready for the new day.
Even in the shower, she couldn't help but run the dream through her head from every action that happened and even though she was running the fantasy moment with Susie, she couldn't help but end it in a dark matter with Kris…his actions were cruel, to the point it was evil and…and…then he…
NOELLE: No! (Thumping the tiled wall while the warm water run down her hair and body) It wasn't real. Why I would dream that? It was just a dream that turned into a nightmare…it never happened. But…but why did it feel so…real…?
Noelle washed herself all over and climbed out of the shower, wrapping a towel around her body and went over to the sink to sort her hair. She dried it off using the hair dryer. After a while her hair was ready to be styled. She looked in the mirror…and suddenly there was figure in the mirror, standing behind her. A blue figure with a beak, covered in ice, with dead grey eyes.
BLUE FIGURE: YOU KILLED ME, NOELLE! WHY?
Noelle screamed, quickly turning, knocking over a plastic glass with toothbrushes, that fell to the floor…but no one was there. Noelle's heart was racing in fear and her bathroom door was locked…nobody could get in. Her eyes adverted round the bathroom and shook her head and turned around to look at the mirror but again, the figure wasn't there.
NOELLE: What the…?
Noelle had to get to grips with the figure she saw…and there was no mistaking it, it was definitely Berdly in the mirror. It was only then she realised, that…she put a spell upon Berdly, a spell she had no idea of would happen. A spell that suddenly covered her sight with snow…a spell so powerful that it wore her out…a spell that had stopped Berdly.
Noelle had completely forgotten about Berdly, a classmate of hers…but that…didn't really happen, did it?
Noelle tried to remember of the events that happened with Berdly.

Her memory.
Kris and Noelle were walking in a dark area of what seemed like a computer world but like city. For some reason, his this strange world…her hair was paler/lighter and her fur has a pinkish tone to it. She also wears a long white dress/robe with a hood and ample sleeves. Her friend Kris, a classmate was even weirder…he was dressed in silver armour over a blue bodysuit, and wore a short, torn pink cape. His skin was cyan and his hair was blue…a totally different look in this world or dream to his normal self.
Noelle was holding her arm, as Kris was walking in front of her. Noelle knew Kris ever since they were younger…and this human always bullied her in some way and this dream felt no different. Kris didn't really talk much, aside for a few words…but every time he did talk to her, it was harsh, cruel and upsetting. But since Kris forced her by this stupid iced ring…it made her feel strange, as if all the happiness was sucked out of her and yet…it seem to make her stronger, despite Kris ordering her to attacked certain creatures living in this world, she got better…but sad of all, almost not caring…
Kris stayed silent but Noelle couldn't help but wanted answers.
NOELLE: Um. K-Kris…? (No response from him) Kris…? (Again no response from him but decided to ask the question anyway) Why…w-why are you mean to me? (They still carry on walking. No response) I…I've done nothing to you and…w-well, why did you push me into that force field…?
Kris stopped in his tracks, as did Noelle.
KRIS: We got the force field down, didn't we?
NOELLE: Yeah. I…I know but…y-you intended to…p-push me into it?
KRIS: Is that what you think?
NOELLE: (Gulps) Y-Yeah, I…I do…
KRIS: I made you buy that ring, didn't I? (Noelle looks at her hand) Beautiful, isn't it?
NOELLE: You made me buy it. I didn't want it…but…you…insisted I buy it…
KRIS: Because you need it.
NOELLE: Why…?
KRIS: Isn't it obvious?
NOELLE: (Frowns) No…
KRIS: (Smiles) So you can become stronger!
NOELLE: I don't understand.
KRIS: (Scoffs) Yeah, I can see that but believe me, you'll thank me soon.
There was another strange silence as they continued to walk. Noelle hated the silence but she hated that Kris was talking in riddles. She could hear him mumblering.
KRIS: (To himself) Pain…D…Red…Mind…Fear…
NOELLE: Uh, Kris…
KRIS: (Still to himself) Just…a vessel. No…I am…much, much more…
NOELLE: Kris, who are you talking too…?
KRIS: Shut up!
NOELLE: (Starts to shake) D-Don't…speak to me like that…
KRIS: (Smiles wildly) See? Stronger. The damage we've caused on others is giving you a bit of confidence and it's all thanks to that ring. No other time would you speak up for yourself!
NOELLE: Stronger…? (Looks sad) I'm…just doing what you're saying…
Noelle wasn't sure how to respond to that but just sighed a little moan and adverted her eyes to the ground. Just then a figure appeared. They both stopped in their tracks. At a quick glance, Noelle didn't even noticed who this figure was in front of them as she only saw this person as an obstacle.
NOELLE: Kris, it looks like another enemy. Should I freeze them?
BERDLY: N-Noelle…? (Noelle doesn't seem to respond) Noelle, it's me! Don't you recognise me?
NOELLE: (Looks up and gasps) Wha…? Berdly?
BERDLY: (Looks concerned) Noelle, are you…okay…? (Looks over to Kris, who just stares back menacingly) What…w-what are you doing with Kris?
NOELLE: (Weak smile) I'm just…w-we're just…(Sighs)…getting stronger…
BERDLY: Getting stronger? How?! (Kris then turns to Noelle and frons at her) Kris, what are you doing?
KRIS: (Points at Berdly) Proceed!
Noelle closes her eyes.
BERDLY: Wha…proceed? Where…(Getting even more confused. Looks to Noelle) Noelle, what is he talking about?
NOELLE: I…(Forms a little tear in her eye)
Berdly sees this and grits his teeth, not liking how Kris is so calm and yet Noelle being upset.
BERDLY: That's it, Kris! I don't know what you're doing but if you're hurting my friend, Noelle…(Produces his green and yellow bird like axe, appearing into his hands like magic) Then I have no choice but to stop you by force! (Gets into a fighting stance) Kris, ready yourself!
Berdly powers up his weapon, while Kris just stands there, almost amused by what's happening. Noelle gasps and stands in front of Kris.
NOELLE: W-Wait, Berdly, STOP! RUN AWAY!
Berdly swings his axe, as powerful thorn bullets head towards Kris…but Noelle produces an icy barricade, it explodes as the bullets impact into it, but no damage was done to either Kris or Noelle. Kris could see the potential in her…and that action was caused by her and not him…but there was one move she could do, while Berdly was powering up.
KRIS: Snowgrave!
NOELLE: What…?
KRIS: Snowgrave!
NOELLE: I…I don't know what you mean. Is…that some sort of spell? Because if so, I don't know that spell!
Kris walks up behind Noelle and whispers in her ear.
KRIS: Snowgrave!
NOELLE: I…I…I'm telling you, I don't know what you're talking about!
KRIS: (Aggressive) Snowgrave!
NOELLE: (Getting annoyed) I'm telling you, stop! (Gets teary) I…I told you, I don't know what you're talking about. Why are you persisting me?
KRIS: Grabs Noelle's arm and squeezes it) Snowgrave, NOW!
NOELLE: (Sniffs) Fine! You want to see what happens so bad?! (Kris smiles and Noelle pulls away from his grasp) Watch what happens when I cast a spell I don't know!
Noelle raises her arms in the air…at first nothing happens, then suddenly the street gets colder and without warning, her pupils from her eyes disappear and is nothing but a white glow…she then levitates off the ground, as snow forms around her hands. Kris stands back, still with his wicked smile and Berdly looks on, worriedly.
BERDLY: What the…?
Snow then appears, covering the whole of their vision, it was thick, white and cold…nothing could be seen…and only the sounds of Berdly's scream could be heard!
BERDLY: NNNOOOOOOOOOOO!
Thick blanket of snow twisted around him and within seconds, his silence was confirmed, as the thick weathering snow died down…and in front of Kris and Noelle was Berdly frozen in a thick block of ice. Noelle gently ascended back onto the ground but collapsed onto her hands and knees…panting, exhausted…drained…
NOELLE: What…happened…? There was so much snow, I couldn't see what happened. (Feeling nausea) I don't feel so good…(Looks at the block of ice where Berdly once stood. She sighs)…I think…I'm going to go home. I…I want to wake from this nightmare…
Noelle stands up, feeling a little wobbly but manages to walk away slowly. Kris just stares at the icy Berdly, impressed at what he saw. He goes over to the thick, cold block of ice and taps it. He turns to Noelle and smiles a toothy grin.
KRIS: She is stronger…
Without any warning, Kris pounces on Noelle, pushing her down to the ground with a hard thud. Noelle groans, the shock of the push realising it was Kris pinning her down.
NOELLE: Wha…what are…?
KRIS: (Seems to be undoing his belt) It's…just a dream, Noelle, it's just a dream. But your power…excites me!

The end of the memory, of what Noelle thinks was a dream.
NOELLE: (Almost crying) Oh my God. I…I can't tell if it was a dream or not. Why…can I remember so much! And…(Sniffs)…if…if it was a dream…w-why would I dream Kris…d-doing that? I…I love Susie. I love Susie! I LOVE SUSIE, NOT HIM! (Punches the mirror, cracking it) S-Shit!
VOICE FROM DOWNSTAIRS: NOELLE?! YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR COLLEGE!
The voice was from her mother, the major of the town. Noelle quickly straightened herself and called back.
NOELLE: Uh, uh…I'm…I'M NEARLY READY!
MOTHER: WELL, QUICKLY THEN!
Noelle looks back at the crack mirror, seeing different reflections of herself. She then checks her hands, which luckily was not bleeding. She holds it closer to her heart.
NOELLE: Berdly…w-will be at college. I know he will…(Remembers he didn't wake up in the library where Kris and Susie appeared)…he just…he was just tired from the group project, that's all…that's…all. Whatever happened…everything will be correct when I arrive at school. Berdly will be there…and…a-and I'll pluck the courage to speak to Susie on how I feel about her. (Smiles weakly) I…I will.
With that, Noelle leaves the bathroom to quickly get changed for college.
Hopefully she'll find more answers when she arrives at college…
