DC Omnitrix kid EP 1: The day that changed everything
In Metropolis, a giant, humanoid, alien robot was stomping around, smashing everything on a street. As it kept rampaging, people scream as they ran away while a shadow was following it, via wrecked buildings. "Metropolis. A Pleasant place to live. Known as the 'City of Tomorrow, this major city has got it all! Good parks, great homes, amazing jobs! Even awesome Arcades, comic shops and restaurants! And even the usual alien or villain attack, plotting to wipe out Earth as well as the city, or takeover both, whichever comes first. I know, weird, isn't it?"
The giant robot keeps blasting as it is searching the area. "See, Metropolis is home to the Famous, 'Man of Steel' Superman. You're probably wondering if he's on his way to stop the giant, terrifying alien robot from Outer Space? I would say yes, but, he's busy somewhere else. You see, there's also another team of Superheroes that have been here for a few months, but there busy with something else all the way across town! Which is long and big, mind you."
The shadow eventually stopped as he saw the robot was targeting a couple, with the wife laying on the ground and the man, comforting her. The shadow widens his eyes as the 2 gazes up at the machine, with the man closing his eyes for bracing as the woman had a look of terror. The shadow narrows his eyes into a glare as it rushes as fast as it's small legs, fiddling with something on his arm as he raises his hand up.
"Okay. At this point, you're properly wondering why an giant alien robot is attacking the city? Or why are those 2 people are about to blasted into ash? Or why is that small figure is rushing to the rescue? or what's it doing to it's own arm?" The being slams his hand down on something, making a flash of green light as energy surges through him as the screen freeze. "Those are very good questions and the answer to all of them:Let me back it up a bit."
Yesterday….
A car with a trailer was driving through a suburb area of Metropolis as an old RV follows behind. "You see, I moved to this city, because my Mom and Dad got new jobs here. One thing after another, we packed up, left our old house in Smallville and moved to the suburbs of Metropolis."
The car came to a stop in front of a house with a sold sign on it. As the car stops, 2 figures got out. One is a male adult with green eyes, black spiky/shaggy hair and slightly tanned skin with a look of eagerness. He has a blue shirt under a brown jacket and a black belt, holding up grey pants. He has blue and white boots. "That's my dad: Drake Tennyson. He's a really cool dad. He can be a bit strict when I comes to chores and school. But he's a really fun dude who like to play games and read comics with me! But he is seriousness about protecting his family. Just asked one thug that tried to kidnapped my mom to make out with her."
The other is a female adult that is slightly shorter the male. She is beautiful looking with blue eyes that sparkle under the sun. Honey brown hair that glimmers in the sun and in a puffy ponytail. She has a black headband and earrings that are silver and fancy key shaped. She wears a pink long-sleeved sweater that leaves her belly expose and a long, darker color matching skirt that stops bellows her knees. On her feet are white slip-ons. "That woman: Is my mom, Serena Tennyson! Yeah, she's really pretty. I guess Dad is lucky to have 's a caring and loving mother. She's honestly a bit smarter than dad, and can be pretty scary when she gets upset and angry at us at times. But she's really kind and gentle. And she sure knows how to cook and handle a massive fight! Last time, she was able to break it up without landing a single punch by talking! I'm still surprised that actually worked."
The RV parks as an elder man steps out as well. He has grey hair with a matching bread, brown eyes and is a bit overweight as well. He has a black shirt, covered by a red buttoned-up Hawaiian shirt with a floral design. He had blue pants, as well as grey and white shoes. He has a red and white trucker cap, cargo vest, and sliver watch on his right wrist as well. "That's my favorite relative, Grandpa Max! He and I have been very close to one another. I always like spending time with him. After all, he did taught many things. Like how to ride a bike and how to fish. I wouldn't be the guy I am today without him."
A 4th and final person steps out of the car. He is a 10 year-old boy with green eyes, slightly tanned skin like his father. He has black hair that is spiker than his father, and also has green streaks in it as well. He has an emerald on a silver chain necklace. He has a black, short sleeve jersey that has a large green stripe down the middle. The shirt also has green sleeves and white rings on the collar and sleeves with a large 10 on the back. He also has black and white camo cargo pants and green, white and black sneakers. "And that's me: Dan Tennyson! An average 10 year old kid with a normal family. Oh, I also has this older sister, but she's away at some school program for a while. Anyway, I just moved into Metropolis. It was the next chapter on my average life. But little that I know, is that something will happen, that changes my life forever."
Meanwhile in space….. BOOOM A huge epic, space battle is going on as a bunch of aliens in green and black with white gloves, outfits, that also has a green aura on them, were fighting off a fleet of space pirates, all being commended by a large, red and dark red ship that looks like a futuristic gun. Being protected by the glowing aliens is a small blue and green ship, that also lending support fire. In the large ship's control room, black and red with bits of silver humanoid drones were handling the ship. "Master Vilgax. The Green Lanterns are putting up resistance against our hired fleet." "Doesn't matter! Send out a few Mechadrones! They will deal with the pests." A tall, green skinned alien in black and red armor snarls out as he narrows his red eyes while his fangs grit. His tentacles on his head dangles slightly.
A bay door opens, sending out 20-ft humanoid robots on 3 legs with the same color and detail as the smaller droids. The behemoths open fired, blasting tons of lasers that took out a few lanterns. "The Omnitrix will be mine! I have searched half of the known Universe for it! AND NO ONE WILL STOP ME!" Vilgax declares as he pounds his armrest.
Back on Earth, Dan was eating breakfast, bored out of his mind. His mom walks by, now wearing a journalist outfit. "All right! First day of work for me and your father, Dan! Max is going to droop you off on your 1st day at school. And it's going to be a great new start to us!" "Yeah…. I guess." Dan mumbles as Serena got a worried look and leans in. "Dan. I know it's hard, moving to a new place. But sometimes, you have to accept change. Sometimes it can be bad, but It can be good! Think of it as a new chance to make some friends!" She smiles as Dan glances off to the side, remembering how hard it was to make friends before, so what chance that he can, now?
Serena starts leaving. "Anyway, got to get going! Can't keep the chief of the Daily Planet waiting. I'll see you tonight, sweetie!" "Bye mom." Dan finishes his breakfast as he puts the bowl in the sink. "New chance? What's new about my life?"
Back in Space, the Green Lanterns and the small ship were fighting a losing battle. Inside the smaller ship, the pilot realized that she can't protect the Omnitrix. So, she seals it in a pod and types in coordinates to a local Black Hole, hoping to destroy it to keep Vilgax from getting it. Back on Vilgax's ship, a lucky shot knocks out the transport's engines. "There engines have been naturalized." "Prepare to board it! I want the Omnitrix, now!" Vilgax barks out.
As the Pilot gets into another capsule, a random energy beam from the pirates hits part of the ship, sending electricity coursing through it to the ship's computers. The pilot glances in surprise at seeing the cargo's coordinates are randomizing instead! Just as the Green Lanterns preformed a combination huge beam that blasted Vilgax's Control room with him in it, the large ship fires a giant beam that blasted the smaller ship to debris! But no one saw a small pod being jettisoned and warping to parts unknown, unaware of a couple of stray Mechadrones following after it a few mins later.
Back on Earth, Dan had just wrapped up his 1st day of school. Dan walks through the city as his 1st day has not made a great impression, considering no one wanted to talk to him, all day. He stops by a newsstand and saw the headlines featuring Superman saving the day. "Sigh… Superman and Batman are doing amazing stuff while I get stuck with a boring life. Superheroes get to have all the fun! I wish I have superpowers too." Dan sighs out as he kept walking.
But as the bored kid looks upward, he saw a green light in the sky, being amazed by it. "Whoa…. Never saw anything like that…" But, his amazement turns into surprise and shock as the light hurtles down into a nearby warehouse. The light crashes into the building with a boom, making the boy breaths out with wide eyes. "What was that?" Dan took off after the light.
As the young boy climbs over a wire fence, he lands down with a grunt and kept going towards the Warehouse. As they boy got closer and closer, he can see from the outside the damage the light caused when it crashed on top of the Warehouse. "What did this?" He slowly opens the still intact door and peeks inside, only to gasp out to see the inside is more wrecked then the outside, with a large crater in the middle. As the boy creeps closer, he noticed smoke coming off a round object. "I… don't think that's either a Lexcorp or Wayne Tech satellite." The boy spoke in surprise.
He then decides to slide down, getting a closer look at it. As the pod cools down, he couldn't help but stare at the object, unsure what to do at first, only to be surprised to see it opens, showing nothing. But as he took a closer look, a green glow fills, making his eyes widened in awe. The light starts getting brighter and brighter, revealing some sort of watch in it. It looks bulky like with a green hourglass symbol in a black background instead of numbers. The dial is sliver and has 4 green buttons, and the wristband is black. The ends of it are grey. It has a green activation button beneath the dial. The button is on a grey band that goes around the watch with a thin black line on it. It lastly has 4 tubes going around it that is segmented and colored white.
"A watch? What's a watch doing in outer space?" Dan questions in confusion, unsure what to make of the strange device. As the boy kept looking at it, he can't help but be drawn to it, as if it was looking for him. As the boy slowly reaches for it with his left hand, unsure either to touch it or not….. VOOOM "GAAAHHH!" Dan scream in surprise as the watch jumped on his wrist! As if it was an angry viper that bites the 1st thing it sees!
"GET OFF ME! LET GO OF ME! GET OFF!" Dan shakes, pulls and smacks the watch on the ground, but it couldn't break off! The boy turns tail and rushes back. "GRANDPA! DAD! MOM! HELP!" He cries out to the skies as he climbs over the fence and ran back to home as fast as he can. After running for awhile and ending up in the park, Dan tries breaking a rock on the watch, but it didn't work at all! He tries wedging it free with a stick, but the stick broke as well!
Dan sighs as he sat down, gazing at the watch. As he messes with it, trying to figure it out, he notices the button. "Hmmm… Maybe this is how you get it off?" He pushes it, making the dial raises up with a beep. As Dan glances around to see no one. He notices the icon changed into a diamond one with a icon of a figure with 2 antenna and a tail with things on the ends while the tubes glowed emerald green and the center thin line also glowed green. "Woah… Cool..."
Dan can't help but placed his finger on the dial, gently pushing it down. Suddenly, the watch starts glowing as green energy surges, making the boy widens in shock. His arm starts morphing and changing as it turns black and longer as the energy starts spreading up to his head. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He screams out as was engulfed by the strange energy, his voice changing as well. Dan shuts his eyes as he felt like he was getting bigger, slightly stronger as 2 things burst out of his balding head as his eyes fused together. His clothes disappeared while his fingers felt something grew on his tips. Lastly, a long tail thrusted out of his spine.
Once Dan felt the transformation is done, he carefully opens an eye, looking around to noticed everything was half the size of before. "Whoa… Why is everything, smaller? Wait!? What's with my voice?!" Dan notices a small lake nearby, rushing towards it's reflection.
Staring back at him with an all green eye, was a black, humanoid creature! He has one green eye in the middle of his head, with a black slitted pupil, two antennae and a tail with round, gold plugs on their tips, four-fingered hands, and feet with only two front toes. The plugs are round while his chest color is white with the green and black hourglass background with a silver dial is on his chest. He is now taller than an adult as he also sports green with white cuffs, fingerless gloves and toeless leggings that goes to his knees and elbows. His tail and antennae has 2 white lighting markings each.
"GAHHHH! Monster!" Dan stumble back on his butt in surprise. As he calms down, he slowly stands up and carefully walks back to the lake, looking at the reflection as it mirrors his hand waving. His eyes widened in shock as the truth hits him. "Wait… That's me?! GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Dan steps back and looks at his new hands in surprise. "What happened to me?! Where's the zipper!?" He tries to reach behind him, hoping that he was just in a costume. Only for him to stumble back on his butt.
As the boy got up, something smack him in the face, making him grab it as he rubs his head, only to freaked out by the tail! "GAH! I got a tail! And antennae out of my head?! WHERE THE HECK IS MY HAIR!? AND MY PANTS?!" He quickly stood and cover himself, hoping to save face.
Suddenly, He felt something going on with his hands, holding them up to be surprised by currents of electricity is surging through them! He notices they were coming out of his plugs as well. As he quickly thrust them away in surprise, they fired a beam of white, hot energy, blasting a rock across the lake to rubble.
Dan blinks in surprise as he gaze at his surging hands. "I have superpowers, now?! That's so amazing!" He notices a nearby log, walking over and picking it up with somewhat ease. "Enhanced strength, check!" He throws it up and holds his hands out, firing electricity from it as it blasts the wood apart. "Lightning powers, check!" He then saw another tree and charges at it, reeling his arm back as energy surges through it. He then throws a lightning fist, punching the tree down with a thud. "That…. Is….. so AWESOME!" Dan grins out, amazed by his discover! "Hmmm… If i do have superpowers now, then I can really be a superhero now! I just need a great hero name that covers my identity! That's like, 'hero basics 101'. Hm… Maybe Shocker? Nah! Plugman? Nope! I don't know, I'll figure it out later."
He then notices a nearby clock says 5. "Man, getting late. I need to get back before my folks finds out." He then runs back as fast to his house he could as he tries to avoid people. But just as the being reaches his house, heading for the door knob, a thought stops him. "Wait… How am I going to sneak back inside like this? Or what are Mom, Dad and Grandpa are going to do or say if they find me like this?! I can't be Electric guy for the rest of my life! No matter how cool the powers are." BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP Just then, his eye widened at a sound, coming from his chest, making him glance down to see the symbol blinking red as it gave dying beeps as well.
FLASH Dan then noticed that he was human-sized again and looks at himself, back to normal! "Hey! I'm me again!" The boy notices the watch is now glowing red as well. "Wonder what that was about?" The kid shrugs and snuck back in, glad to see his parents still working. The kid lays down his bed as he kept staring at the watch as questions about it swirls in his head. "What are you?"
Meanwhile, the Mechadrone had crashed landed in the nearby forest, after a few hours from Dan going to sleep. It then unfolds itself, scanning the area, only to find nothing. It then deploys 4 saucer like drones with silver limbs, flying off in search of the target.
Dawn came and Dan slowly wakes up, stretching his arms out while yawning. As he rubs the sleep from his eyes, he noticed the watch was still there. "Whoa! And I thought it was just a crazy dream." As he got ready and dressed, he went downstairs towards a note. "'Dear, Dan. Your father, I and Grandfather went out to have breakfast with an old friend of Max's. Be good and stay in the house until your grandfather comeback at 8:30. Love you, mom.'"
As Dan gazes at the note, he glances back at the watch and the clock, reading 20 mins after 7. "Well… I guess it can't hurt to go to the woods for an hour to figure the watch out." So, after grabbing an apple, he got his shoes and rushed out the back.
The boy arrived at a small clearing, glancing around the place. "This looks like a good spot." As he looks at the watch, he remembers the button that raises the core, pushing it towards the electric being's icon. As the boy gazes at it, he notices the ring around the core, slowly twisting it, only to his surprise, for the icon to change. "Hey… There's different guys! Let's see… Let's go with…. this one!" Dan slaps the dial down. FLASH
The boy flexes his arms as they became furry and bigger with claws growing out. He teeth became sharp as his mouth grew. He grew bigger as the fur covers all over as his clothes shredded out and burst away, replacing with new clothes as a shoulder pad forms on his right arm. He flashes open his all green eyes and roars out, posing as he finished transforming.
Dan gazes at himself and exclaims. "WHOA! It's like I've gone beast! Nice!" He is now an alien similar to a husky or werewolf. He has silver grey and white colored fur, four fingers on each hand, three toes on each foot, and sharp claws on each hand and foot. He has a tail that is small. His eyes are green and the inside of his mouth is red. He wears a black with sleeveless shirt with large green stripe in the middle. Black pants with a white with black strip belt with a square for a buckle. Black gauntlets with green lines, green feet coverings that leaves his toes exposed and an iron shoulder pad on his right shoulder. He lastly has the watch symbol on a collar around his neck that is mostly black with a small white line around it with green ends and the dial badge on the front on a circle patch of white.
"I can't believe I'm so big and strong! I'd like to see my old bullies pick on me now! Hahahaha!" Dan notices a nearby rock, lifting it up with ease. "Okay, so he's super strong." As he smashes the stone apart, his nose caught something, making him sniff to see a little rabbit. As he stares at the little rodent, one thing comes to mind… "FOOODDD!" Dan roars out as he chased the scared critter around
It went on for a bit, until the rabbit leaps up to a tree branch. The critter smugly sticking his tongue out, only to get a dread look as Dan uses the claws on his hands and feet to climb up. Dan got on the same branch, slowly approaching the scared bunny, licking his jaws. But as Dan went to chomp it down, his eyes widened, shaking his head as he glances around in shock. "Wait! What was I thinking?! Eating something living and raw?! Not to mention, bunless!?"
As the rabbit quickly escapes, he heard a noise with his sensitive ears, quickly leaping off as a laser blasted the branch. As Dan landed, he glances back in surprise. "What was that?!" Dan was more surprised by the 4 drones, hovering before him. "Something tells me those aren't the usual robots Superman deals with." He mumbles out.
He quickly dodges a few lasers, glaring as he growls out. "All right! No more playing around!" He rushes on them on all 4's, avoiding the energy beams as he leapt up and smashed one to the ground with his fists. He quickly runs behind a rock, using it to block the beams as he grabbed a log and tossed it at another, destroying it.
As Dan glances at the wreckage, he whirls around in surprise to see a drone right behind him! He quickly crossed his arms in front, hoping to take the most of the blast! But as the laser drew near, scaled plated shields appeared on his gauntlets, reflecting the energy beam back and destroying the robot. Dan was shocked by it and glances at the smoldering wreckage and at his arms. "Wait… Where did the shields come from?"
He didn't had to time to wonder as he got tackled by the last one, holding on it as he flies around, crazily. Dan growls out, getting really annoyed as he roars. But, just then, his teeth became sharper and made of steel, making him bite down on the head and chomped it off! Crushing it to pieces, Dan leaps off as the last bot crashed to the ground.
As the boy looks at the bots and back at himself one word came to mind. "AWESOME!" Dan grins his steel teeth out as he fist pumps! He taps his teeth, notching his metal makeup. "Whoa… Metal teeth as well?! Talk about heavy metal! So…. This guy isn't just a strong, agile, tough beastly dude. It's a guy that can make armor appear on his body! Nice! I wonder what to call this guy?" He ponders for a bit. "Hmmm… How about…. Metalwolf! Nah… Feels like it's forced, for some reason. Oh! Iron muzzle! Doesn't fit. Steeljaw? I don't know. There might be a new villain with that name soon."
As Dan ponders, he glances at his muscles, remembering how strong they were in smashing things and his sharp mouth. Suddenly, 2 words swam around his head: Smash and Mouth. The boy turned alien remembers they were a name for a favorite band of his: Smashmouth. As the kid-turned Husky alien thought about it, he realized the band's name does stick to the alien. But he can't just used the name for it.
Just then, Dan's eyes widened at something. "Or…. BASHMOUTH!" He grins as he poses! As he thinks it over, he realized that it did stick and is catchy. "Yeah! Bashmouth can totally work!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH
Dan glances at himself. "Guess hero time is over." As the boy waits for the watch to charge, he can't help but checked the robots. "I wonder what are these things? And why did they attacked me?" Just then, a noise caught his ears, making him glanced back to see some trees getting pushed aside, as the boy wonders what it was, the Mechadrone, arrived on the scene.
The boy was shocked by the sought of the 20-ft-tall robot! It must be the leader as it looks a bit like the others, only more advanced! As the robot scans the wreckages, it's cold, red eyes landed on the shocked boy, scanning it until it spotted the target on the wrist. The robot made a move to grab him, but Dan quickly rolls out of the way. "Okay! Papa robot! I guess you're upset about your buddies, huh?"
Only for the boy's smiles drops as it points a laser cannon at him. "Oh, crude." He quickly runs behind some rocks, taking cover as explosions rang from the blasts. As the boy was pinned down, he notices the watch recharged. "YES!" He quickly activates it, dialing towards Bashmouth. "Time for round 2, Bashmouth!" FLASH
Dan felt something wrong! First, he wasn't feeling stronger. Second, he doesn't have claws or fangs, or fur. He glances down and exclaims in shock. "What the?! This isn't Bashmouth!" He is now a green humanoid frog with white metallic eyebrows and green eyes, covered by a black and dark green mask. He has 3 fingered, buff limbs, covered by black fingerless gloves that have a white patch on the back. He has on a sleeveless jumpsuit that goes to his 2 toed feet. It is black with a green stripe down the middle and has 4 white lines that goes over the line and above his shoulders and under them in a cross sash style. The jumpsuit has a white belt, and the pants are black with a green stripe going down each side. The watch symbol is on his back at the center of the sashes.
"Hmmm…. He's strong looking. Maybe he's another brawler as well! Guess he's worth a shot." Dan rushes out and charges at the robot, grabbing one leg and tries to lift it up, but was struggling as the bot just stares at him. "Come on….. You gotta…. Be even stronger….. Than…. Bashmouth!" He grunts out! But just then, the robot kicks him away, sending Dan flying back and smacking into a tree.
But just then, something happened: When he struck his back on it, he glowed green and split into 2 smaller selves. Dan #1 groans as he sat up and rubs his head. "Okay… Not as strong as I thought." "Tell me about it." Dan glances at the voice, only to stand up in surprise as the other Dan did the same. "Whoa!" Both Dan examines each other, mirroring their movement.
"Is your name Dan too?" "Yeah…. This guy must be a cloner! But how did we do it?" Dan #1 thought about it when he slams his fist in palm at realization. "Our backs! The robot threw us at this tree and when our backs were struck, we split into 2!" "Only one way to find out!" The both back bumped each other, making 4 of them now. "Nice! All right, Slapbacks! Let's pound that robot!" "RIGHT!"
They all charged, dodging some lasers as 2 of them puts their hands together, tossing the other 2 up as they double-punched the robot. The hit sent it on it's back as the 2 small aliens landed with thuds and cracks in the ground. "Whoa! We're not just stronger! We're heaver too when we clone!" "Sweet bonus!"
The robot gets back up as all the Slapbacks got over it. One pulled out it's weapons as 2 more smashed it's arms off by it's shoulders. The last Slapback kept punching the head, knocking it off with a double uppercut! The robot fell into useless scrap as the 4 small aliens gathered together, glancing at each other and grins out. "WE DID IT!"
As the Slapbacks cheered, the watch beeped again, timing him out to Dan. "That was so tight! I can't believe how cool Bashmouth and Slapback are! I wonder what kind of other guys I have? You know, the watch did came from space…. Maybe there aliens instead!?" Dan grins out as he stares at the watch. Just then, his phone's alarm rang out, making him see that it's close to the time Grandpa is coming home. The kid immediately booked it, unaware of the Mechadrone's head was slightly blinking it's eyes.
Back In space, Vilgax's ship was undergoing repairs after the epic battle. "What do you mean the Omnitrix is not there?! This battle nearly costed my life! And you're saying it's no longer on the transport!?" Vilgax roared out from a healing tube. The laser blast from the fight hits him, and it's not pretty from his mangled body. His left side and right arm was blown off as his right leg is a mere stump as alien wires attached to his body while a breathing mask was secured to support his damaged lungs.
"We apologize, Master Vilgax. We scanned the area, but could not find any trace of it." Vilgax was furious! All that searching and planning, conquering and destroying. AND HIS PRIZE IS LOST FOREVER?! "RAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH! UNBELIEVABLE! IF THOSE MEDDLESOME LANTERNS HAVEN'T GOTTEN IN THE WAY, I-" Just then, another droid rushed up with a orb in it's hand. "Master Vilgax! We have received a signal from one of our Mechadrones! It appears that it managed to warped to another part of the galaxy in a different system."
Vilgax managed to calm down as he coldly responds. "And why would that be an interest?" "Because, it sent footage of the Omnitrix." Vilgax's eyes widened in shock from the news. "Excellent! Have it bring it to me at once!" But the robot responds as he activates the orb, making it float up. "Unfortunately, it cannot do that. It has learned, before being destroyed, that the Omnitrix is now on a small planet in Sector 2814. It is now attached to this being."
The robot displays a holo-screen of the Mechadrone's first person view, showing a surprised Dan on it as it replays it's battle. "A Human child? The Omnitrix is the hands… OF A HUMAN CHILD!?" Vilgax roars out in anger as the most powerful device in the universe, rivaling the power rings of the guardians, is in the hands of a small, clueless boy from a backwater world.
The footage ends with Slapback punching the robot's head off, shutting the screen down. "Set a course for this planet! We will retrieve my Omnitrix, even if we have to tear it off the human's arm!" "Understood! But that battle also damaged our Hyperdrive system. And that system is under Green Lantern protection. We must utilized caution for now."
As much as Vilgax hates it, the Droid makes a point. "Very well! Repair the unit and set a course to outside the system! We'll find a way to get to Earth, one way or another." The Robots nodded and went off, leaving the warlord to his thoughts. "A child… OF all Humans on that cursed planet. It had to landed on a human boy. But that child… There's something familiar about him. Almost reminds me of HIM!" Vilgax glares as his eyes glowed red, as memories of a hatred foe surfaces to his mind. "Tennyson…."
On the streets of Metropolis, The Rust Bucket was driving through the streets as Dan gazes out the window in amazement at his new city. "Whoa…. This place is huge!" "Glad you like it, kiddo. There's all sort of interesting places in this new town." Dan saw a news stands with the 'Man of Steel' himself on the cover. "Including Superman! Hey, Grandpa Max! If we see him, can I get an autograph?! Please!? Please!? Please!?" Dan pleas begging as Max chuckles. "Sure. If we ever run into him, that is. He's always busy with something, Dan."
The Rust Bucket toured the city for a awhile, stopping at an intersections as Max spoke. "Well, getting close to lunch. How about we pull over and I can whip something up?" The boy froze with widened eyes. If there's one thing he knows about Grandpa Max, is that his 'cooking' always involved weirder, and gross things! Like Mealworms that are alive. Tomato pasted Grub Worms. Smoked Sheep's tongue. Fresh, squiggling tentacles in a bowl of soup. And even what looks like a slug mixed with Brussel sprouts!
"Uhhh… Hey! There's a nearby Big Borger! Let's just get something there instead?" Dan grins out. But before ether can respond, a Fire engine whips past them, followed by 2 more and an ambulance. "Whoa… What was that?" "Don't know. Let's check it out." The RV follows after. After a few turns, they all stopped as Max and Dan rushed out, gasping at a burning apartment building with a crowd. "Oh, boy! Looks like a fire! Stay back, Dan! The Firemen have this one!" Grandpa warns as they watch the men fights the raging inferno.
"Sir!" Dan glances off to 2 fire men. "We just learned there some people trapped inside!" "Curses! We don't have much time left! Where's Superman when you need him?!" Dan glares as he turns to the building. "Maybe not Superman, but there is someone to help. I gotta go to the bathroom, Grandpa!" Dan rushes back into the RV as Max raises a brow. "Weird time to use the toilet."
But, Dan snuck out of the RV through the Driver's seat, quickly running off away from sight down an alley, using the back way to reach behind the burning building. The boy quickly dials the watch. "Okay! Maybe…. This guy!" FLASH
Dan's arm turns into ice as it spreads throughout his body as his back swelled as he got on all 4s. He teeth became pointy as his finger became 3 claws and his feet became stumps with 2 claws. 4 fins burst out of his back. His skin turns blue as the ice broke away as he grins and backflips, posing as he finished transforming.
"Whoa…. Who's this dude?" Dan is now a blue iguana-like alien, with green eyes, sharp teeth protruding from his upper lip, 4 pointed fins on his back and 3 clawed hands along with 2 clawed feet. He has a black stripes that connects his eyes and small spikes on the sides of his face. He is wearing black clothing that cover his back and sleeves with green cuffs and his leg is white and ending in green when it reaches his foot, going all the way up to his head. His chest is bare and show that he has 3 black gills on both sides of his chest. His black back clothing has small white color at the trim. He lastly has the Omnitrix symbol on his left cuff.
The boy approaches the fire, briefly flinching as he steps back. "This guy has got to do something." But as Dan sighs out, he fires a bright blue beam, freezing out the fire and making the doorway open. "I got freeze breath powers? Cool! Literally." He quips as he walks in. As Dan rushes through the fire on all 4's, a sound caught his attention. "Someone! Help us!" Dan gasp as he turns to his right.
In a bedroom covered by fire, a family of 5 were huddling together. "Stay close, everyone! Superman will save us! I hope." The woman spoke to her baby and children. But, the ceiling collapsed, making the family clutched in fear and braced for there doom! Only… They didn't felt anything. And for some reason, it was colder, all of a sudden. They open there eyes in awe and amazement to see the ceiling frozen as Dan was holding it up with his strength as he stands on 2 feet. "You're not Superman." The little girl spoke out as Dan smirks. "No! But I'm a good substitute!"
He toss the rubble away as he gestures to follow him. The group did so as they made it to the hallway. "Quick! Down the stairs!" Only for said object to break apart. "Uh… Never mind." Dan looks around and spots a window. "Everyone! Grab onto my fins!" The family did so as Dan rushed towards it. Dan breaths out an ice beam, freezing and braking the wall as he flew out. Dan quickly made an ice slide.
"Thanks for flying Air Ice! Enjoy your landing!" Dan slides to a stop as the family got off. The crowd was in awe of the lizard alien as he turns around and takes a deep breath, firing a huge beam of bluish-white energy of icy proportions as it flash froze the building, putting the fires out.
The Fire chief was amazed by the alien's deeds. "You just saved those people and this building! Thank you! Who are you?" "Ohh… I'm…" Dan then start trying to figure a name for himself when one popped in. "Arctiguana!" The crowed cheers for the hero, who is basking in the attention, unaware of Max watching in suspicion. "A Polar Manzardill? But how is that possible? There planet is light-years away from Earth."
Just then, the watch symbol blinks, making the alien glances down in worriment. "Sorry! Got to slide!" Arctiguana then leap up high breaths an ice trail, sliding on it to lauch himself away. He did this a couple more times and manages to duck down an alley and into a dumpster. FLASH Dan groans in disgust as he climbs out and brushes trash and gunk off him. "Note to self: find better places to hide before timing out."
The boy left the alleyway, glancing around to see no one. He then snuck back into the RV, going into the Bathroom, just as Max went in. "Dan! Are you in here?" "Yes, Grandpa?" The boy smiles as he walks out. "There you are! Guess what? You'll never believe what—" Just then, an order caught Max's scent, making him smell and recoils in disgust. "Whoa! Dan. Did you forget to shower this morning? Or this week?" Dan smells himself, getting disgusted by the dumpster smell. "Uhhh…. Sorry, Grandpa?"
Dan was walking on his own, after showring in the Rust Bucket and getting some spare clothes that Grandpa tucked for an emergency. The boy was pretty amazed by all the city has offered. "Man. This place puts my old home to shame in size." As they boy walks, he heard a sound and went off to the source. Peeking out of another alley, he gasp at seeing a trio of masked bank robber with hostages, hold up as they steal money. "The old Bank robbing cliché? I had a feeling I'll be handling those. Ether way, it's hero time!" He steps back and pushes the button, making the core raise up as he scrolls through his aliens. "Let's go with... This one!" FLASH
Crystals grew out of the watch as they engulfed the pre-teen, making him grew taller as 4 spikes popped out of his back while his jaw became strong, his eyes became all green, and lastly, a jumpsuit appears on him as the watch flashes from it.
"Whoa! Now this is cool! I'm made of rocks!" Dan exclaims as he is a silicon-based alien made out of extremely durable crystal. His body is made out of durable pale green crystals. His jaw is strong and has a sharp head. He is muscular and tall with 4 spikes sticking out of his back. He is wearing a sleeveless jumpsuit that is half black-half green with a white belt. He has white boots and knee pads. He lastly has the watch symbol on his left chest on a patch of black.
He then rushes into the bank and notices the robbers. "HEY!" The robber whirls back in surprise at Dan. "I don't think that money belong to you." "Who's this guy?!" "Don't care, blast the freak!" They all open fire as Dan blocks his forearms, only to notice the lasers were bouncing upwards. "Invincibility?! Awesome! I'm laser and bullet proof! You guys are so dead." Dan narrow his eyes and punches his fist as the robbers gulped in fear.
Outside the bank, the robbers were tossed out and into a garbage can at a Burrito Bucket Restaurant across the street. Dan exits the bank as he praised. "Oh, thanks! Naw, naw... It was nothing, really! You're welcome! Courtesy of... Uh..." "You rock, Diamond-headed dude!" One guy cries out as Dan smiles at the comment. "Diamondhead! Yep, Diamondhead!" He smiles and wave at the cameras and then left, only to stop at the Burrito Bucket and glances at his symbol. "I still got time." He enters in as he walks up to the menu and rings the bell, feeling discomfort for some reason and shrugs it off.
"Coming!" A red haired, green eyed teen girl in uniform whistles with her eyes closed as she walk up. "~Hola~! Welcome to Burrito Bucket. How can i-" Her eyes flashed open in stunned as she glances up at Diamondhead. "Take your order?" "Yeah! I'll take... The Nacho Bellgrande Combo with a medium Root Beer. Hold the veggies on the taco and just cheese on my nachos. And 2 Churros to go, please!" "Sure... Coming up." The girl left for the manager office as Diamondhead crosses his arms and wait. A man steps out of the office along with the girl. "All right! Where's this customer that is so..." Like the girl, he too is surprised by the alien's appearance.
"Uhh... Barbara? What's this thing's order?" "Oh! The Nacho Bellgrande Combo with a medium Root Beer. Hold the veggies on the taco and just cheese on the nachos. Plus 2 Churros. All to go." "What? Never seen an alien before, buddy?" The man smiles out as he waves his hands as the girl went for the order. "No! No! It's just... we never get people like you before." "Here's your order!" Sweet!" Diamondhead grabs his food, but realizes something. "Hang on! I think I don't have any money on me. Maybe if I—" "On second thought, take it! It's on the house!" "Really? Cool!" He starts to leave as Barbara question out. "You never let me have anything on the house." Her boss merely glares at her as she zips her lips. "Oh, you might want to empty your garbage soon. It's kind of full." At the alien's words, they both check to see the beaten criminals.
Dan was finishing the last of his lunch in the park as he kicks back and chills. "Man! What a day..." BOOM "What was that?!" he exclaims as he heard an explosion from downtown, making him rush towards it as people scream and runs in a panic. He climbs up to a roof top to see another alien robot, wrecking havoc on the city. "No way! Another one of those robots! it must be after the watch too!" "And this the part where you come in. As I said, these 2 days were pretty big for me: Finding an alien watch, moving to a new city, stopping a bank robbery and saving people from burning building, and fighting off mysterious robots as well. Guess my 1st day as a superhero is pretty hectic. Now, to my side of the scene you just came in." Dan kept after the the robot as he tries to figure out some way to stop it, only when he went to ground level, he noticed 2 people has fallen and the robot was aiming it's laser at them. But when the boy got a closer look. "MOM! DAD!" He cries out as he dials his watch to the electric guy's icon and transforms into him.
As Drake and Serena braces themselves for the laser, they both heard the firing sound! Only to felt nothing but some warm from it, making them peak out, only to gasp in surprise at Dan, holding the energy beam in place as he absorbs it all, making a huge light as the citizens noticed as well. "What comes around goes! around! LET'S SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT, YOU TECHNO-FREAK!" He cries to the heavens as he absorbs the last of it and fires out a massive green and white beam that sent the robot soaring into the sky and explodes in a huge ball of twisted metal and flames. Dan breaths heavily as he slightly knees, tired from doing such a huge move. He was then startled when the people around cheered for him, clapping as they crowd and phrase him. The alien smiles as he waves to his new fans.
Just then, a teen girl with black hair in bun, pencils sticking out, pushed her through as her camera guy follow as well. "Excuse me! Lois Lane of the Daily Planetoid! You have just stopped a giant rampaging robot and saved all these fine citizens all by yourself! Tell, me good sir? Who are you? The public would love to hear your feedback on this." As Dan was struggling for a name for his alien form, he realized something about his powers and that word the girl spoke. As he thought about it, they go together like Chile and Cheese on fries! "The name's Feedback! And Metropolis, let me hear you say it: WHO'S YOUR HERO!?" The Crowd cheers in roars at Feedback as had a huge grin on his face.
But at where the crash sight of where the watch landed, the pod just lay there until it is approached by 6 shadows. The shadows all look at each other as they silently communicate with one another and took the pod away for farther study and research. The leader, who is carrying the pod, steps into the light to reveal a tall teen girl with tanned skin and long midnight blue hair and a tiara. "I wonder what could this metallic capsule was carrying and why? And more importantly, who has it now?"
At Night, Dan was getting ready for bed as he glances at the watch and decides to look at it. "I wonder what other aliens are on this thing? Guess it can't hurt to check to see if- No way! Is this a dinosaur?!" BEEP "And another one?! With wheels?!" BEEP "And a dragon, too!? Wicked!" BEEP "Some sort of frog guy." BEEP And check this dude out! Looks like his hair is on fire." Dan smiles out as he flops onto his bed and gazes up. "10 aliens. A 10-year-old kid with a watch that turns into 10 aliens. Looks like the beginning of a new hero in Metropolis." He closes his eyes and went to dream land as the watch beep slightly in response, unaware of Grandpa Max creaking open the door and smiling at his grandson. "Good job, Dan. I'm real proud of you."
