Yes, the long awaited sequel to Electrified is finally released. I've taken the overall plot of Frozen II and gave it some epic Winx elements. You'll see what I mean.
I also made some edits to ensure continuity down the line with Electronio's story and what the sisters discover on their mission.
Electrified II
Chapter One: How It All Began
It seemed like yesterday when the two princesses of Zenith had a close bond. One night, when they were little, the two girls were playing with Tecna's magic and letting their imaginations run wild. Despite Tecna's young age, she was able to use her magic to project whatever stories she and her little sister Elyssa could come up with. Strangely enough, most of the stories they thought of involved brave fairies battling the evils of the universe, but they never realized this until tonight. The two were so engrossed in their latest adventure that they barely heard their parents calling them.
"Elyssa, Tecna, you girls better be getting ready for bed soon!" their mother, Magnethia, called from down the hall.
"Just give us approximately ten more minutes, Mom!" Tecna responded back before returning her concentration to her magical projections.
"Oh no!" Elyssa cried out with over-exaggerated dramatics while the visions of their story came to life on a holographic projection in from of them, "The fairies are trapped by the group of powerful wizards! What should they do, Tecna?"
"The most logical solution to this dilemma is to use their strongest magic in convergence." the oldest of the two princesses answered her sister, With her magic, she made the group of fairies on the projection join their powers in complete harmony in order to defeat the wizards that had captured them.
"What are you girls watching this time?" their father, Electronio, asked as he and his wife entered their daughters' shared bedroom. They both had amused smiles on their faces as they watched their oldest daughter play with her magic. She was eight years old, but Tecna's control over her technology powers was astounding to her parents.
"A group of courageous fairies fighting for the good of the universe," Elyssa told them. Electronio suddenly gave them a knowing look.
"You know, there are realms far beyond Zenith. We are only one realm in all of the Magical Dimension," he informed his daughters. The two girls stopped what they were doing as Tecna's magical projections vanished.
"There's a story here. Am I right, Dad?" Tecna asked. The two sisters both jumped on Tecna's huge canopy bed and began to listen intently to their father's tale.
"Are you sure you want to tell them now, dear?" Magnethia queried to her husband in a weary whisper.
"They're old enough to know what far reaches are beyond our planet," he assured his wife with a confident smile, "Besides, they have to know everything about the Magical Dimension if one of them is to rule Zenith one day." Tecna's eyes widened, she knew he was talking about her specifically. After all, she was the oldest and most logical of the two sisters, a perfect representation of what Zenith stood for. Unlike Tecna, Elyssa had a short attention span and could not sit still for too long.
"Hey Tecna, can we build a super-cool robot later?" she whispered to Tecna as they sat side by side on the big bed.
"Yeah, sure," Tecna said hurriedly, "but I want to hear Dad's story first."
"I can only tell the story if someone would settle down enough to listen," Electronio interjected with an amused chuckle. He admired how playful his youngest daughter was, and knew that her curiosity would lead her to great things. He didn't pay too much mind to those behaviors that he considered illogical. Elyssa was still young, so he hoped that Tecna's influence would help her grow out of such behaviors. Electronio sat in front of them on Tecna's bed as the two sisters quieted.
"Yes, indeed. We are only a part of a great Magical Dimension of many realms." Electronio began, "And you girls are correct to dream up such fairies that would fight for justice and the balance of good and evil. For, in the center of our great Magical Dimension, the realm of Magix is located. In that realm, there is an Enchanted Forest where fairies of different elements come from their own home realms and join forces to maintain the balance of good and evil. There is a fairy of Nature, a fairy of Sound, the fairy of the Sun and Moon, and the most powerful fairy of all possesses the all-mighty Dragon's Flame. The Flame was the beginning of all magic in existence."
"So," Tecna interrupted, "you're saying that these fairies have powers like me?"
"Yes, Tecna," he continued, "However these fairies have ways of living much different than our own. They surrounded themselves in nature, whereas we live amongst industry and technology. So it is unclear to us whether you could be one of them. Although, there is one thing you should know. Your grandfather went on a peace mission to bring these realms together with Zenith. For trade and for unity.
I came on that mission with him. They had proved our preconceived notions wrong. They had opened our eyes to alternative ideas, methods that we believed might be effective in the prosperity of Zenith and the other realms. We were convinced that magic and technology could work in harmony. However, something happened. Before I knew what was going on, the people of Magix were attacking us. The battle went on longer than I could imagine, and in the midst of it all, your grandfather was killed. Whatever had happened angered the fairies that met in Magix' Enchanted Forest for the unity agreement. All the realms' royal families are usually peace driven people. They must've saw evil in our intentions, so the fairies must've cast a spell on the Enchanted Forest in order to protect it from further damage. Everyone else was sealed within it. I had been knocked unconscious in the battle, and when I came to, I felt dust surround me and an… ethereal singing voice in my ear. Whoever that voice belonged to had freed me. It was that night that I returned to be declared King of Zenith, since my father had passed."
"Whoa Dad," Elyssa finally spoke, "that story was so intense! I owe whoever saved you a great big hug! Without them, you never would've met mom and Tecna and I would've never been born." As she said this, she flopped into her mother's arms as Magnethia wrapped her in the scarf that she had been wearing.
"Do you know what happened to the fairies of the other realms, Dad?" Tecna asked with slight worry to her tone.
"I have not heard from anyone outside of Zenith since. Only the more industrialized realms make trade with us. The fairies' spell has made it so that no one can enter or leave the Enchanted Forest. We are safe from their wrath for now. Although, we never know when the forest may awaken again. That's why it's important that you girls know this now, before it's too late." Electronio concluded.
"Electronio, I think the girls have had enough stories for tonight," Magnethia pressed. She was worried that their daughters might be too intrigued to sleep if he told them any more.
"But I have so much I still want to know!" Elyssa pleaded, "I'd like to know what started the war anyway. I thought Zenith and the other realms wanted to be friends and work together."
"I will answer all your questions in the morning, Lyssa. Now you two have to go to bed." Electronio told her with another amused smile.
"Aw Dad, you know I can't wait that long now," Elyssa continued to beg, "You know how impatient I am."
"Come on, Elyssa, be rational. It wouldn't benefit us much if we stayed up all night pushing Dad for information. Besides, I'm tired…" Tecna cut in before she turned to her mother, " Though, I do have one more question. Do you think it's likely that Magix' Enchanted Forest will awake again, Mom?" At this, Magnethia turned to her eldest daughter and sighed deeply.
"No one knows, except… no, I can't," she began, but dared not say another word. That is until she knew she had said too much.
"What?" both Tecna and Elyssa asked in total unison.
"When I was a little girl, I was told of a horrible place where all the Magical Dimension's worst criminals are kept in frozen imprisonment for all eternity," Magnethia confessed with dread, "But this is also the place where every truth is brought to light… In the portal that connects the Omega Dimension to the rest of the Magic Universe. For those who seek the truth, if they dare to seal themselves within the vortex." As Magnethia carried Elyssa to her own bed, young Tecna sat upright, listening with deep awe at the legend of the Omega Portal and what truths it held…
Obvious foreshadowing is obvious. I know.
