God, this damn pandemic is really pushing me to the limit. First, we have to stay home and wear masks whenever we're out(I'm not really against masks). Then, a lot of shows and such are either having difficulties being made and/or stopped production completely. And now the Bleach anime return is being set back TO 2022! Man, that REALLY grinds my gears.

But ignoring that before I break something, here's a new story I thought of. Yes, scold me for being the biggest idiot in the world, I probably deserve. In my defense… It has been on my mind and would break out at some point. Plus, I always like to make unique crossovers, and this one might be one of the more… Tame type… I suppose.

To be clear, this story is AFTER the defeat of Aizen. More specifically, it takes place a year after those events, and the Fullbringer arc would follow suit. Honestly, I did enjoy the Fullbringer arc and don't understand the hate it gets(the Bounts arc definitely deserves the hate). There will be original elements added to the story, as well as a few surprises that some of you might like.

And I'm going to guess the one question many of you will have: the pairing. NO ICHIHIME. THAT IS A SHIT PAIRING AND ICHIGO X RUKIA DESERVES MORE JUSTICE. FIGHT ME.

Okay… Okay… I'm sorry. Really unprofessional of me. But in all seriousness, I am open to any pairings you guys might have, though a small harem could work(of course, Ichigo WILL end up with one person at the end cause I doubt he can satisfy everyone).

And the reason I'm choosing Railgun over Index and Accelerator is because Misaka is best girl to me and I REALLY dislike Index(still like Accelerator though). Of course, all three series will still go on here, so don't worry about it.

With all that said and done… Time to jump in.

Academy City. One of the largest and most advanced cities in Tokyo, possibly the whole world. It was a city-wide school for all grades, with a large majority of its citizens being students, along with many scientists and researchers.

However, despite how amazing the city may seem, there are always problems that follow with it.

That is where the story begins, with a lone male walking through the bustling streets, passing by multiple people and cleaning machines. Reaching into their pocket, they pulled out a phone, staring at the screen with a frown.

"Damn. I didn't think it would be late. Then again, this damn place is huge." He muttered to themselves with annoyance laced in their voice. It was only because he wanted to explore that they lost track of time. 'And it's damn Hat and Clogs' fault I'm here in the first place.' Looking ahead, the person sighed at the large crowd blocking their path to the bus stop. "And it just keeps getting worse. It's like I have bad luck or something." Deciding to complain later, the person began looking around for any alternate routes. Luckily, there seemed to be an alleyway close by, which could hopefully lead them to the right direction. Tightening their grip on their bookbag, the person ran towards the alley, quickly apologizing to those in his way. Once there, the person began making their way through… though, they didn't seem to be alone.

"Looks like we got a live one." A rather brutish looking man said to his friends with a snicker before they began following the person. As the person walked, they soon began to feel a presence behind them, along with the sound of footsteps. After a full minute of walking through the long alleyway, the person stopped, letting out another sigh.

"There's no point hiding anymore. Might as well come out." The person said, clearly wanting to get whatever game the assholes around them were playing. As they finished, three more men appeared from the corner, with one holding a pipe.

"Huh, you knew we'd come and you still called us out? That's pretty cocky of ya, kid." One of them, possibly the leader, said with a smirk before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a switchblade. "Since you know what'll happen, ya might as well get started. Cash cards, phones, anything in your bag." However, rather than obliging, the person opened one brown eye and stared at the leader.

"Come and try. I'm honestly in a hurry. The faster you get this done, the better." The person mocked, making the thugs laugh.

"You hear this joker? He wants us to 'come and try.'" A rather fat man called out before he stepped up, towering over the person. "Cause of that, why don't we have a little fun with-"

*POW*

The fat man never got to finish as the person delivered a swift uppercut, the force behind it making the fat man fly in the air a good three feet before he landed on his back, groaning in pain.

"Taka!" Another thug shouted in shock before he and the others glared at the attacker. "You orange haired bastard!"

The remaining four thugs all let out battle cries before rushing the person…

And a few moments later, they were all lying on the ground, with multiple bruises on their faces and more than a few broken teeth.

"Let me give you a bit of advice." The person said, the sunlight slowly beginning to rise behind them to reveal their appearance. Said person was a tall teen male with spiky orange hair, peach colored skin and brown eyes. He wore a white button up shirt with black pants and brown shoes, with a backpack lazily hanging from his back. "The next time you try ambushing someone, don't. Otherwise, you'll get your asses kicked again."

Ichigo Kurosaki gave his would-be attackers one last glare before he left the alleyway.

But you might ask: why the hell is Ichigo Kurosaki in another city? Well…

'One month earlier'

It's been over a year.

Sixteen months to be precise.

Regardless, it has been over one year since his Soul Reaper powers vanished during possibly one of Ichigo Kurosaki's toughest battles yet. Over a year since he last saw his friends in the Soul Society.

And yet despite that, Ichigo welcomed the chance at a normal life. No more seeing spirits wandering the Earth, no more fighting Hollows, and no more fights to the death.

Although… That's not to say his life now was easy.

"Ichigo, wake up!"

*Smack*

A rolled up stack of papers smacked Ichigo hard on the head, snapping him out of whatever trance he was experiencing, along with an unappreciated headache.

The now seventeen year old Ichigo growled under his breath as he raised his head, looking up at the towering figure that was Ikumi Unagiya, the proud owner of Ungaiya Odd Job Services. Donning her shop's shirt, her signature and gloves. And she. Was. Pissed.

"Were you even listening to me?! I said did you finish walking Mr. Nakamora's dogs? And what about getting that skunk out of the fence on South Manshura?" Ikumi demanded while giving Ichigo a heated glare. "I don't remember hiring you to slack off."

"Yeah, yeah." Ichigo said while waving her off, giving her his reports for the jobs completed. Given how he was Ikumi's only employee, it was only natural that she expected him to do every odd job that came in. Though he was grateful for the job, Ichigo had to admit it was a pain in the ass and the pay wasn't that great in the beginning, hence why he would start taking jobs with the school clubs. Taking the papers out of his hands, Ikumi looked them over before nodding.

"Alright. Glad to see you aren't a slacker. Still…" Ikumi threw the papers on the table before crossing her arms. "You could at least smile a bit as thanks for me hiring you."

'Despite you always kidnapping me?' Ichigo thought to himself while recalling the one instance he didn't report to work cause of a trip he didn't tell her about. Let's just say he was more cautious NOT to piss her off as he did that day. "Anyways, can I go home? I still have some things to do before the next semester." With that, he stood up from the couch he was sitting on.

"That's right. This is your last year." Ikumi realized before a smirk appeared on her face as she punched Ichigo on the shoulder. "Look at you, all grown up, Next thing you know, you'll be heading to college. I'm sure your dad's proud."

"Like I care about what he thinks." Ichigo offhandedly said while getting his bag and making his way towards the exit. As he grabbed the doorknob, he looked over his shoulder, his usual scowl softening a bit. "And… Thanks for everything."

"Tch, about time you said it." The older woman said with a scoff before she smiled. "Goodnight, Ichigo." Giving her a nod of acknowledgment, Ichigo exited the two story building, calmly walking along the dark streets. He was always a fan of cool nights like this since they gave him time to reflect on his day. While they argued, Ichigo and Ikumi were good friends, though it would be better if her son wasn't such an ass to the orange haired male. Looking at the full moon, Ichigo's mind began to wander a bit.

'It's been a while since Rukia or any of the others from the Soul Society came to visit. Are they just that busy… Or do they feel guilty about my sacrifice? Hmmm, probably the first one. No way would Renji or Rukia admit that.' A small, bittersweet smirk crept on Ichigo's face. He was happy with his life now, yet he still longed to see the people he fought side by side with during the conflict with Aizen.

"Well, nice night we're having, huh?" The former substitute Soul Reaper stopped in his tracks, hearing an all too familiar and painfully annoying voice on his right. Turning his head, Ichigo found himself surprised to see a certain shopkeeper looking at him.

With his iconic dark green Shihakushō, fan and striped dark green and white bucket hat, Kisuke Urahara grinned cheekily at his old ally.

"Long time no see, Ichigo. How've you been?" Kisuke said rhetorically, mentally chuckling at the look on Ichigo's face.

"Kisuke?" Ichigo couldn't help but ask, blinking in confusion. He never would have expected to see the former captain of squad twelve to visit him after all this time. Not that he necessarily complained about it, given how much Kisuke pissed Ichigo off.

"Is that all I get after everything we've been through? That really hurts, you know." Kisuke said with a 'hurt' tone while putting a hand over his heart. "I mean, at least come over and give me a hug. I thought we were friends."

… And just like that, Ichigo's shock quickly turned to annoyance.

"What do you want? It's late." Ichigo asked with a frown.

"Okay, okay. I forgot you can't take a joke." Kisuke dropped his act while grinning. "Honestly, it's no surprise you don't have a girlfriend."

"Kisuke. What do you want?" Ichigo repeated, his irritation growing a bit.

"I just wanted to see how you were doing." Kisuke finally said, his smile softening a bit. "I'm sorry for not coming by to see you sooner. Given how much you went through, I thought it'd be best to let you rest." It wasn't necessarily a lie. He and many of the other Soul Reapers believed Ichigo did deserve some time to live as a normal human after his sacrifice against Aizen.

"Appreciate it, but that's not why you're here." Ichigo said bluntly, having seen through Kisuke's lie.

"Well, at least your view on people hasn't changed." Kisuke laughed a bit before he grew serious. "But let's go talk somewhere more private."A bit surprised by the sudden change in tone, Ichigo contemplated a bit… Before he began to walk away.

"Sorry. Not interested." Ichigo replied while giving the shopkeeper a wave. He was already done with Soul Reaper problems, so he didn't really feel the need to do anything Kisuke asked of him.

"It involves a new type of spirit energy." Was all Kisuke said, his tone completely serious. It was enough to stop Ichigo from advancing, making him look over his shoulder. "And it has something to do with one of the most technologically advanced cities in Japan. If you wanna hear more about it…" Kisuke turned the other way, walking forward as his sandals echoed in the quiet streets. "Follow me."

As much as Ichigo wanted to just flat out ignore Kisuke… He knew that if Kisuke was serious, then it was something he needed to hear about.

"Damnit." Finally relenting, Ichigo began to follow Kisuke, who had a small smirk on his face.

'Urahara Shop, sometime later'

"The place hasn't changed much, has it?" Ichigo told Kisuke as he sat down in front of the small coffee table. True to what Ichigo said, the shop Kisuke and his allies used as a front didn't really change apart from a few new merchandise here and there. Hell, it still had that same strange scent that his nose would pick up. Overall, it was nostalgic.

"You know the old saying, 'Don't fix what isn't broken.' Plus, changes do cost money and I am just a simple merchant." Kisuke replied while placing a cup of coffee in front of Ichigo before sitting across from him.

"So about this new spirit energy…" Ichigo trailed off, only for Kisuke to fan himself.

"Oh, come now, Ichigo my boy. Can't we just catch up like old times? Maybe even have a little training session downstairs. I did have fun trying to stab you." Kisuke teased with a grin, getting a deep glare from Ichigo.

"Kisuke…"

"Fine. Mood killer." Kisuke muttered before he cleared his throat, one eye visible behind his fan. "You know how many spiritually aware humans are in Karakura Town?" The orange haired male nodded in response. "Well, it seems other countries around the world have spiritually aware people as well." Reaching into his pocket, Kisuke pulled out a folded up map, placing it on the table. "A few days ago, I detected some unusual spirit energy, one in Tokyo near the west coast and another in Europe."

"Okay, but shouldn't the Soul Society also know about this?" Ichigo asked, clearly confused by this. If something like this was caught in Kisuke's radar, then why would the Soul Society be kept in the dark?

"You would think so. I bet even Mayuri would have a field day if he learned about this." Kisuke chuckled a bit before getting back on topic. "But because of these new developments, I thought it best to investigate. So I had Yoruichi go on to Europe."

"And what about other? Are you planning to go yourself?" Ichigo asked as he began to sip his coffee.

"Well… That's what I wanted to talk about." Kisuke said as a big grin began to grow. "Ichigo, how would you like to move to there and check it out for me?"

*SPIT*

Due to the rather sudden offer by Kisuke, Ichigo spat out the coffee in his mouth, though he luckily aimed it towards the left. "Oh, I just had those mats cleaned." Kisuke sighed in disappointment.

"Who the hell cares about that?!" Ichigo shouted as he put his cup down and stood up, glaring down at Kisuke. "And why the hell would I move out of Karakura now? In case you forgot, I-"

"Don't have any powers. I know, Ichigo. I was there." Kisuke cut him off while closing his fans, giving Ichigo a calm look. "If you would let me finish, I can explain." Scoffing a bit, Ichigo sat back down, though his glare didn't lessen. "We both know I wouldn't ask you to do this without considering all the facts. You were the one who fought the Soul Society just to save a friend, you fought some of the Espada and you even helped take down Sosuke Aizen by yourself. All that makes you the best person for this job."

"What about Uryu? He's stronger than me now, so why not ask him?" Ichigo asked, though he would never say it to Uryu's face.

"I tried, but his father was a very strict man." Kisuke answered while chuckling. After all, Ryuken Ishida was a businessman first, and sending his son somewhere alone would definitely be bad for said business. "Besides, I feel like Isshin would be more willing to send you."

"The hell are you talking about?" Ichigo asked with narrowed eyes. He had a REALLY bad feeling about all this.

"I doubt you'd want your education to be on hold when you go, so…" Kisuke reached into his other pocket and pulled out a paper, handing it to Ichigo. "You'll be transferred to Ogama High School as a level 0 Esper."

"Esper?" Ichigo dropped his glare and raised a brow at Kisuke. "You mean those people who read the future?"

"Psychics, and you aren't completely wrong." Kisuke informed him while fanning himself once again. "You see, there's a city in Tokyo that's home to many Espers. It's called Academy City." He then gestured towards the paper in front of Ichigo, who looked at it.

"Yeah, I think I heard Uryu talking about this place a while back. It's supposed to be a city wide school, right?" Ichigo questioned as he read some of the information from the paper.

"And is one of the most advanced cities in the world in terms of technology. Not even America can catch up to it so easily." Kisuke said while sighing dreamily. Man, what he would give to go there and learn about all the milestones they've achieved. "But going back on topic, if you accept, then I bet Isshin would be more than willing to help you transfer there."

"For how long?" Ichigo questioned, his eyes narrowed again.

"Mmmmmm… a few months to a year." Kisuke theorized while rubbing his chin. "Then again, if there is more to Academy City, I might have to keep you there for the rest of your life." It was a joke, of course. But it didn't seem like Ichigo found it funny.

"Screw. That." Ichigo finally had enough and stood up. He heard all that Kisuke said, so there was nothing more for him to hear. Throwing his bag over his shoulder, Ichigo began to make his way towards the exit. "Thanks for the coffee."

"You really don't want this little job, do you?" Kisuke questioned, pulling the papers back in his pocket. "And here I thought you wanted the chance to be a big hero again."

"That's behind me now." Ichigo replied as he looked back. "Sorry." And with that, Ichigo left the Urahara shop, with the owner staring at the door.

'I was trying to help. Let's see if you can convince him, Isshin.' Was what Kisuke thought before he drank his coffee.

'Kurosaki Household, later'

The door handle to the front door turned a bit before opening, allowing Ichigo to enter his home with a small yawn. "I'm hom-"

"HYAH!" Out of pure instinct, Ichigo quickly ducked under a high flying kick before grabbing the attacker by the face, slamming them down hard on the floor.

"Damnit, will you stop doing that?!" Ichigo growled in anger, staring down at his fallen father, Isshin Kurosaki. The former Soul Reaper Captain and goofy father of three groaned in pain as his son held him down.

"I just… wanted to… hone your skills… son… you passed." Isshin muttered out as he tried to pull Ichigo's hand off his face, though given how strong his son was, that proved to be difficult.

"Ichigo!" A cheery voice called out before footsteps could be heard in the hallway. Running into view was the youngest of the two girls in the Kurasaki household, Yuzu. She had definitely changed over the past year, with her hair now reaching her neck, tied in small pigtails. She was currently carrying a flying pan and spoon while giving her brother a big smile. "You're back!"

"Oh, hey Yuzu." Ichigo greeted casually as he stood up, releasing his father. "Sorry I'm home late."

"It's okay. We still have some leftovers for you." Yuzu told him with a happy tone. "But you have to do the dishes, okay?"

"Sure. Thanks." Ichigo said with a small smile on his face. No matter how bad a day he had, coming home to see Yuzu's bright smile always lifted his spirit. Leaving Isshin to rub his face, Ichigo followed Yuzu to the kitchen, where his other sister was currently watching television from the couch. "Hey."

Karin, the tomboy of the twins, turned her head to see Ichigo, giving him a wave. "Sup. Another late night shift?" Karin questioned as Ichigo sat on the table, Yuzu putting a bowl of rice and some meat in front of him.

"You can say that." Was Ichigo's response before he thanked Yuzu for the food and proceeded to eat while Karin returned to whatever show she was watching. But as he ate, Ichigo's mind began to wander to what Kisuke told him. 'I don't get why he didn't tell the Soul Society. It's not like there's a big threat coming. Even if there was, the Vizards are there to help and I'm sure everyone's gotten stronger. Still… Espers and a new spirit energy source? The hell's going on here? Oh well, it's not like I could do anything anymore.'

"Kisuke talked to you, right?" Ichigo was pulled out of his thoughts by Isshin, who sat across from him while speaking low enough so Yuzu and Karin wouldn't hear him.

"He did." Ichigo replied calmly as he continued to eat.

"And?" Isshin questioned again, only for Ichigo to shrug.

"Not my problem. You know that." Ichigo said back as he drank some tea. "Oh, and I don't appreciate you trying to get rid of me."

"Hey, it's not a bad opportunity. Plus, the graduation rate for students in Academy city is high. Even a blockhead like you might be able to go to a good college there and get a well paying job." Isshin defended with a mocking smirk, getting a scoff from Ichigo. "Look, I know it was a lot to ask for, but me and Kisuke really do think you should go. After all…" Isshin stood up and started to walk away. "You are my son, even if you are a punk."

"Screw you too." Ichigo muttered while putting down his bowl of rice, looking at the remnants of the rice with a thoughtful expression. As much as he hated to admit it, Isshin wasn't that wrong about Academy City offering him more opportunities. The main issue was how the sudden transfer would affect his education, not to mention how all his friends would react. Keigo and Orihime would obviously be the ones who'd react the most, given how dramatic they were. Mizuiro and Chad would be surprised, but most likely accept Ichigo's opportunity. Tatsuki might be a bit angry, but would support him. Then Uryu…Yeah, he might be jealous. 'Am I seriously gonna go through with this? The hell's wrong with me?'

With an annoyed sigh, Ichigo decided to just call it a night. Hopefully, all this crazy talk about Tokyo and Epsers would fade away.

'Rome, midnight'

Rome. The capital city of Italy and home to the Vatican. It's a large tourist location for those visiting the west and it was easy to see why.

It was definitely a nice change of pace for Yoruichi Shihoin compared to Karakura Town and even the Soul Society.

Dressed in a tight trench coat, brown pants and an olive green scarf, complete with a pair of glasses, the former Captain of squad Twelve looked at the lights of the city with a smirk.

"You know, I really should travel more. It's nice to stretch my legs every once in a while." Yoruichi said to herself just as the waiter at the cafe she was staying at served her tea. "Thank you."

"Of course, madam." The waiter said with a bow before walking away. Drinking the tea, Yourichi continued to watch the people going about the evening. Honestly, when Kisuke asked her to do recon, she didn't know how to feel about it. Then again, he did pay for her ticket and gave her some money, so who was she to complain?

Reaching into her pocket, Yoruichi took out a small white flip phone before opening it, allowing the screen to show a sort of radar. Lifting it up a bit, Yoruichi noticed a small flashing red light appear, making her narrow her eyes. 'It looks like the Spiritual Energy Kisuke found is nearby. But still, could it belong to a human? A Quincy? No, that shouldn't be possible. Then again, nothing's impossible.' Finishing her cup, Yoruichi left a tip on the table before making her way towards the streets. As she continued her pace, something felt strange to her. Turning her head, Yoruichi narrowed her eyes again as she noticed someone in the crowd. 'It looks like I'm being followed. Good, now I can have some fun.'

With a big smirk, Yoruichi continued to walk like nothing was wrong, occasionally looking back to see if her follower was still there. Being one of the most renowned fighters and fastest Flash Step user in the Soul Society, Yoruichi's senses were sharper than any Zanpakuto and her senses were telling her that the person following her was a strong opponent. Though she would be more than willing to fight them, having a confrontation in the middle of the street would definitely cause panic and quite a few casualties. So the best option was to go somewhere else.

Noticing an alleyway coming up, Yoruichi decided to use it as a way to draw out the follower. Putting her hands in her coat pockets, the purple haired woman turned and entered the alley, walking through it and ensuring no one was in there. Once she was in the middle of it, she stopped and turned around. "You know it's rude to follow someone without taking them to dinner, right?" She called out as the follower stopped a few feet away. Since they were finally alone, Yoruichi could now see their attire, which consisted of a light brown robe and a hood that covered their body. There was also the act that the follower was a rather tall individual, easily standing at 6'8.

The follower didn't say anything in response.

"Are you an assassin or just a predator?" Yoruichi questioned, only to get no answer. Her golden eyes narrowed under his glasses as she slowly began to reach her back, grabbing the handle of her hidden Zanpakuto.

"You are not human." The stranger finally said in a warped robotic tone. "There is an aura around you that is not known to any humans."

"Glad to see you can talk. Got a name?" Yoruichi asked casually, though she didn't lower her guard.

"My real name has been lost to me. Taken through time and long forgotten by those I considered family." The stranger started to say as they began to walk forward, their feet being revealed to be covered in a white metal boot. "However, if you truly wish to know the name of the man who will erase you from this world…"

The stranger raised their right foot, a strange mist surrounding it.

'Wait, that isn't Reishi.' Yoruichi thought with widened eyes.

"I am…"

They then brought their foot down as Yoruichi began drawing out her weapon.

*WHOOSH*

A sudden wave of ice shot out of the ground as the stranger stomped their foot. Thanks to her Flash Step, Yoruichi was able to jump out of the way, though she was forced to remove her trench coat, revealing her orange over-shirt, black pants and large beige sash. "Damn, he's quick." Yoruichi muttered to herself while looking at her right shoe, which had some ice covering the tip of it. "Damn. If I hadn't gotten out of my Gigai sooner, I would've been frozen solid." Standing in the air, Youruichi looked down, trying to find her attacker.

"Freeze." Came the stranger's voice from behind, making her eyes widened before she Flash Stepped away. A moment later, several icicles shot towards where she stood, flying through the air before landing somewhere(luckily not hitting anyone). The Flash Goddess turned her head, only to find the attacker also standing in the air.

"So, you're copying me now? That's an insult." Yoruichi jokes, though inwardly, she was scanning his body to find a clue as to how he was standing in the air. Looking at his feet, Yoruichi was surprised to see him standing on two small circles of ice. 'Did he freeze the air so he can walk?'

"No more games." The attacker said before pulling out something from their waist, revealing a VERY long katana within a modified metal sheath. Buckling their legs, the attacker launched himself towards Yoruichi much faster than she expected given their size. Yourichi quickly turned her head to dodge the sheathed sword from striking her head, though the attacker didn't give her a chance to counter as they continued to swing. It was surprising to see how skilled the attacker was with their sword, even with it sheathed. Catching the hilt of the sword with both hands, Yoruichi quickly wrapped her legs around the stranger's arm before kicking them hard on the face. However, once she removed her legs, she noticed something.

He was wearing armor.

"What?" Yoruichi said in surprise as she stood in the air again. The stranger turned their head, the moonlight revealed a white helmet covering their face.

"I admire your skill." The strange said calmly, a small ounce of respect in their tone as they grabbed the hilt of the sword. "As a show of respect, I will slice you down with my blade. You should feel honored to be struck down by a Knight of the Vatican."

'He's with the Vatican?' Yoruichi thought while clenching a fist. What in the world was going on and why does this human have supernatural powers? It was starting to get confusing. Gripping the hilt of their weapon, the stranger slowly began to pull it out of the sheath. Inch by inch, Yourichi saw the blade and needless to say, she was impressed. The sword itself was just as long as the stranger, the metal shining brightly from the moonlight. Yet what she found odd was the fact that there was no sharp tip. It just had a flat top on the end. "That's a unique sword you have there. Let me show you mine." With that, Yourichi Flash Stepped forward, appearing right behind the attacker, her Zanpakuto drawn out as she prepared to cut their back.

*CLANG*

Much to her surprise, however, the stranger reacted much faster that Yoruichi expected, blocking her weapon with their sword. 'His reaction speed is impressive, even for a human.' Yoruichi thought in mild surprise.

"I've had enough." The stranger said coldly as ice began to form from their sword, covering Yoruichi's Zanpakuto and even her arm. Widening her eyes, Yourichi saw how the ice was growing much faster than she would have expected, only matching Captain Hitsugiya's Hyorinmaru.

"I thought something was wrong with your ice." Yoruichi admitted as the ice covered her arms. "This is magic."

"Good. I'd rather not explain my technique. But that doesn't mean I will show mercy." The stranger pulled back their left hand, forming sharp ice on their fingers. "Die."

A small splatter of blood flew in the night sky of Rome.

'The next morning'

"Are you really going to just sit there and do nothing, Ichigo?"

"Were you always a coward, Ichigo Kurosaki?"

"Come on, Ichigo. You need me to smack some sense into you?"

"Seriously, King. WAKE UP AND MOVE YOUR ASS!"

Ichigo's eyes fluttered open, allowing him to stare at his ceiling. "It was just a dream." Ichigo muttered to himself while rubbing his face. That was such a bizarre dream he had, and those voices… They were so familiar.

"GOOD MORNING, ICHIGO!" Hearing his father's yell, Ichigo quickly opened his window and ducked down, allowing Isshin to sail past him. Realizing what his son was doing, Isshin yelled before he grabbed onto the ledge of the window, holding on to dear life. "Are you crazy?! I could've died!"

"So? If you did, then you'd go to the Soul Society." Ichigo said without a care in the world as he began to remove his shirt, putting on a new one.

"Oh, so that's what this is about. You wanna get rid of me!" Isshin shouted as he began to pull himself up, only for Ichigo to press his foot against Isshin's face.

"Look! I was already having a weird dream, but then you try and knock me out. So maybe you SHOULD fall, just so we're even." Ichigo growled as he pushed his foot even more on Isshin's face, causing him to slowly lose his grip.

"WOAHWOAHWOAH! I'M GONNA FALL!" Isshin shouted urgently before he realized what Ichigo was saying. "Wait, a weird dream? What was it about?"

"Well…" Ichigo paused for a moment, recalling what he had dreamt of. Yet despite his best efforts, he couldn't remember everything. "I can't remember. But I did hear some people telling me not to give up."

"Does it have to do with Kisuke's offer?" Isshin asked calmly, moving Ichigo's foot from his face while climbing onto his son's bed.

"Maybe…" Ichigo muttered as he sat on the bed, with Isshin doing the same.

"I know it's a lot, son. You deserve some peace." Isshin confessed while patting Ichigo on the shoulder. "Hell, I bet you're happy just to come home and see Yuzu and Karin. But opportunities like this don't always come. It's best to take them while you can. Otherwise, you might regret it later on."

"And what about Yuzu and Karin? You really think they'd be okay with me leaving?" Ichigo questioned back, trying to find a better excuse not to go.

"Come on. You really think they wouldn't support you? Yuzu would cry, but she'd be happy. And we both know Karin wouldn't show how much she cares about you." Isshin chuckled at the thought of his daughters. "Stop making excuses. If you think you should go, go. If not, oh well. But no matter what, don't doubt how everyone will feel about you, okay? Your sisters, your friends, even I trust you completely." To show this, Isshin decided to ruffle Ichigo's hair like he did when he was a kid, though the seventeen year old scowled at him.

"Knock it off." Ichigo said while swatting his dad's hand from his head. But Isshin was right. He had to stop trying to come up with an excuse that would keep him in Karakura. Even if he didn't have powers, he could at least check out the area and report to Kisuke. Plus, like what his dad said, Academy City might give him a better chance to find a good job. With a tired sigh, Ichigo decided to relent. "Fine. I'll talk to Kisuke."

"Glad you made up your mind." Isshin said with a grin as he patted Ichigo on the back… before pulling him into a chokehold. "A-HA! You let your guard down, son! Rookie mistake!"

"GUAH! YOU CRAZY BASTARD!"

The only sound that could be heard from Ichigo's room was the struggle he had against his father.

Man, what a damn way to end the first chapter, huh? To be fair, this idea did come up recently, so I wanted to get the basic idea of the story out of the way.

Now, before any of you get pissed off with Yoruichi getting hurt(or at least, it's implied that she was hurt), the person who fought her is someone much stronger than many of the Soul Society(of course, I doubt he'd be able to beat a Captain), but that's not to say they'd beat her if she went all out. But as for their identity, I will reveal it later on in the story, but it isn't a character from Bleach or Railgun. Enough said.

Another thing I want to say is that I am willing to use some elements from the Brave Souls game since it has a LOT of interesting concepts. So if you have an interesting idea for the story, please don't hesitate to tell me.

Crazy things will happen next time as we see Ichigo prepare to leave and learn about the interesting life of Academy City.

Follow, Fav, Review and PM for anything at all. But let's be respectful to one another, especially during these trying times.

Next time: Railgun.
