"Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?" Sang a familiar voice.
"Hello Lupin." She kinda rolled her eyes at him.
"Happy Birthday." The other master thief held a little box out to Carmen who looked surprised. It was wrapped in white shimmery paper with a red ribbon to tie it all together.
"I'm rather surprised Lupin." She took the handful from him with a small smile.
"Or is this a gag gift?" She raised a suspicious brow at him as she untied the ribbon.
"Oh Carmen I'm hurt." He pretended as if her words had actually hurt his feelings, but in truth he had expected this reaction. Even though Zenigata was his rival, Carmen was what any outsider would consider Lupin's true rival, since they were directly competing with each other.
Carmen finished unwrapping the box then opened it. Inside the box was a ring box, she rolled her eyes a bit. She was getting more suspicious that it was a gag till she opened said ring box. Inside the box was a large heart shaped blue diamond. Carmen recognized it and stared in stunned silence for a moment.
"Is this the Heart of Eternity?"
"You bet, because my love for you is eternal." Lupin replied in his most charming voice.
"God that was cheesy Lupin. Even for you." Carmen rolled her eyes but still smiled. Lupin flashed her one of his biggest cheesiest grins in return.
"But thank you non the less." She leaned into the shorter thief and gave him a lingering kiss on the cheek. If Lupin could have melted he would have become an instant puddle.
