A/N: This is my version of how I wanted to see the revival to go. It will go back and forth in time (I will be very clear about the year we're in). At this point I am not sure how I will deal with Richard, so far in my writing he is still alive. A Year In The Life was not my favourite thing to watch, except for Emily's story. The way they dealt with her grief and starting to move on was beautiful, so I might juts leave that alone.

Thank you for the positive feedback on my first two stories ... I hope to post more soon.

Spring 2013

Rory was in her car on her way to Stars Hollow when her phone rang. She activated the speaker phone "Hello?"

"Please tell me that I don't have to go to this stupid reunion!"

Rory laughed, "Hi Paris."

"Yeah, yeah, Hi. You're not going are you?" Paris asked with her classic charm in tack.

"Why don't you want to go? It's usually losers who are unsuccessful that don't want to go to their reunions. You're the farthest thing from unsuccessful."

"Right but people only look at your resume gaps. I took off almost a full calendar year!"

"Paris! You took off six months each time you had a child, I cannot imagine anyone faulting you for that. Especially since you practically ran your business from your couch both times. It was hardly down time. I remember Doyle worrying that you weren't sleeping enough."

"Well he worries about everything, it's like breathing to him." She sighed, "But he's great, he offered to watch the kids that weekend or he would get his Mom to watch them if I want him to come with me. Sometimes he sickens me at how great he is."

Rory laughed "Paris, I love that you complain about how good your husband is that he doesn't give you enough to complain about."

"Well he knows me well enough to know that I need to complain to blow off steam."

Rory turned onto main street and smiled, "Okay, I'm almost home. Yes, I'm planning on going to the reunion and I think you should come. Have you looked up Francie? All her Puffs connections and she's working for one of those pyramid schemes. This is just the perfect opportunity for you to let her know that some people can succeed without the Puffs."

"And that some can fail even with their help."

"That's the Paris I know and love."

Paris laughed softly, "Thanks! I'll check with you in a few days, maybe one of us has changed our minds."

"Bye"

Rory parked behind the Diner in her designated spot and walked around to enter by the front door.

"Hey kid, I wasn't expecting you today." Luke greeted.

Rory kissed his cheek and smiled, "Can I still get a coffee? I'm working from home for the next few days. I have to get some articles done."

"Does your Mom know? You can't hide here and expect me not to tell her!" Luke smiled as poured her coffee.

"I discovered that you can't keep a secret from her years ago, when I asked you if I could call you Dad. She knew within the five minutes it took me to get home." She smirked at him.

"Hey that's not fair, I was really excited about that. You can't blame me for wanting to share that news! Now you can go up and do some work but you better be planning a dinner with us tonight or tomorrow."

"Of course, DAD!" Rory laughed as she made her way to her apartment over the diner.

A few hours later Luke opened the front door to the house and was greeted with the sound of laughter. Lorelai and Rory were in the kitchen talking about something they obviously had strong opinions on.

"Hello?" Luke called as he kicked his shoes off by the front door.

"Daddy!"

Luke entered the living room to find his twins watching TV and playing with Legos. They ran to him, each hugging one of his legs and he bent to return their hugs.

Lorelai came from the kitchen and kissed him, "Hi Hon, Rory was just about to read the kids a story. Do you want me to order dinner tonight?"

"Nah, Rory could use a home cooked meal. I can defrost the pot roast she loves," he smiled as he headed to the kitchen.

"You cooked all day!"

"It's fine, come help me, you can peel some potatoes."

Rory began to laugh, "Oh you're serious? She helps in the kitchen?"

"Very funny."

Rory raised an eyebrow and stared.

"Okay, okay," Lorelai conceded, "I don't cook things. But I help with what Luke calls 'prep'."

Luke laughed as he placed the roast he had previously cooked and frozen (knowing it was Rory's favourite) into the microwave. "Everyone calls it prep, not just me."

"Whatever. Just go read to my kids so they are the smartest ones in school. They have big shoes to fill Missy" Lorelai pointed at Rory.

Rory settled on the couch with her brother and sister on either side of her. She opened a book and started to read to them, her voice was animated and the kids' eyes lit up watching her. Lorelai's heart melted and she couldn't take her eyes from the site. She felt Luke's hand wrap around her waist and his chin on her shoulder, "That's a pretty great sight, hu?" he asked

"It's perfect." Lorelai sighed.
