Author's Note: I do not own Ben 10 or any other franchises that may appear in this Fanfiction. I do not make any profit off of this. This is just the pipedreams and ideas of a Ben 10 fan who misses the classic continuity.

Episode 1:

Ben sat at Mr. Smoothies drinking a blueberry smoothie. He was enjoying the peace and quiet. It was rare for him to get such silence nowadays. With his Grandpa Max out playing Magister of the Plumbers for the whole Galaxy and Rook working overtime overseeing Earth's plumber base Ben had become a solo hero. He was working full time as a hero living at the plumbers base. He was always in some part of the world defeating a mob boss, fighting an alien overlord, or fighting some world threatening villain. Then there was the press.

At one time Ben had liked being a world famous Superhero. Being known and loved by almost everyone. But he missed being able to walk down the street without being flooded with picture requests and people trying to interview him. The only place he got a sense of normalcy was at Mr. Smoothies. He was there often enough that the celebrity glamour had pretty much worn off for the regular staff. For them he was just Ben Tennyson. A regular paying customer who just so happened to have the universe's most powerful device on his wrist. The Omnitrix.

Ben finished his smoothie. He walked by a jewelry store robbery. He smiled and reached for the Omnitrix but a couple Kineceleran cops beat him to it. He sighed and kept walking not at all surprised. Since the discovery of undertown Bellwood had become more and more open to aliens in day to day life. Kineceleran cops were one of the more normal things to come with that.

Galvan's and Cerebrocrustaceans working as teachers or scientists. There was even an all appoplexian football team. It was great progress towards Earth becoming a more advanced and intergalactic aware world. Unfortunately it meant that the only time he got to go hero was when he was saving an entire city at least. He missed turning into XLR8 and going on good old fashioned car chases, or turning into wildmutt and scaring the pants off a petty thief.

He thought back to when he was 10 years old fighting baddies across the country with Grandpa Max and his cousin Gwen. Times back then were simpler. He missed those days. As a kid he always wanted credit for his heroics. Being a hero was fun and games.

As he reminisced on the old days he caught a look of himself in the reflection of a window. Wearing a black Jacket with a white 10 on the left side and a green shirt under it, with blue jeans and black and white shoes. He was a little more muscular since he had started training and working out his human form a little while ago. The only thing that really hadn't changed in the year was the Omnitrix on his wrist. The insanely powerful device that started his heroic career.

Speaking of the Omnitrix it was beeping. He had a call from Rook. He tapped the Omnitrix and a holographic image of his old partner appeared.

"Hey Rook what's up?" He asked.

"Nothing good is happening Ben. We need you to come to the base. Professor Paradox is waiting for you." Rook answered.

"Paradox? I haven't seen Paradox since we fought Malturant." Ben said.

"Yes. He wants to speak to you. It is about Albedo. He has escaped holding." Rook replied.

Ben went wide eyed and tapped the Omnitrix. The face plate slid back and he selected XLR8 on the omnitrix, slammed down on the core and he transformed in a flash of Emerald light.

His skin turned red and yellow horns extended from his face. Yellow patagia grew from his arms to his torso and the Omnitrix relocated to a green belt on his torso as he became the mantalike Jetray instead of his selected alien.

"Well not exactly what I was trying for but at least Jetray's fast." He said to himself.

The aerophibian took to the skies at a high speed and flew straight to Max's plumbing. Just a regular old plumber shop to most. To people like Ben, it was the entrance to Bellwood's secret plumber base. Once he landed the Omnitrix beeped and transformed him back to normal sensing that he no longer had need of his alien form.

He opened the door to the shop and went straight to the bathroom. In the small bathroom was a chain hanging from the ceiling. He grabbed it and pulled it. The small area of floor he stood on started to descend to the plumber base with him on it. The elevator slowed to a stop and the door opened revealing the green glow of the base.

He stepped out. "Rook? Where are you?" He asked his hand near the Omnitrix ready to transform if he needed.

He was pretty sure that he was safe but if Albedo was running around the base he wanted to be sure. He saw Rook and his Grandpa Max run into the main control room where he was. Both of them were firing at something. Max looked over at him.

"Ben Albedo's in the tech vault. He's after something. We've been trying to reach him before he could crack the security code to get in but- whoa" Max had to duck behind the wall as a red laser narrowly missed his shoulder.

"But he has turned the security drones against us. We have not been able to reach him."

Ben nodded tapping the Omnitrix. "Getting through those drones will be no problem for Diamondhead!" He stated, slamming on the core when the faceplate slid back.

His body became covered in blue fur. Two black furry fins extended from each eye forming a mask like appearance. His furry blue body was covered in a green and black tracksuit that had the Omnitrix on the chest.

He looked at his hands. "Fasttrack? I wanted rock hard defense, not cat-like speed. Oh well I can make this work."

Fasttrack rushed past Rook and Max and used his incredible speed and velocity to take them out with well placed punches.

"No time to focus on the drone's Ben. Go get Albedo." Max ordered.

Fasttrack looked back at him. "Got it Grandpa!" He rushed toward the tech vault to head off Albedo.

Albedo looked at Ben. He was now back to looking like a teenage Ben having used his Galvan intellect to fix that glitch in his Ultimatrix. "Ah Tennyson. You're too late. I already have what I'm looking for." He said with a malicious smile.

"Never too late to kick your butt Albedo. If you like we could just take you back to your cell and forgo the butt kicking though." Fasttrack replied.

"Ever the wisecracker I see." Albedo said. "One of the many things I will not miss when I leave this miserable world for good."

"Leave? If you think I'm gonna let you leave you're-" Fasttrack started but Albedo interrupted him.

"Mistaken? Let me guess next you're going to say that even if I do escape there's not where for me to run. That I can't hide forever. Foolish human. I will look forward to never seeing your face again when I leave this universe. You see this?" He asked, raising a small cube like device.

"It is a transdimensional fluxuator. With it I will leave this Universe and go to a new one. You see I've grown tired of our constant battling and bickering. You are always getting in my way. So instead of trying to rule this universe, I will simply go to one without the Great Ben Tennyson. Good bye Tennyson I have the whole Multiverse at my fingertips. It will be a pleasure never to see you or that arrogant Azmuth ever again." He said as he pressed a button on the device.

"Wait don't!" Fasttrack tried to grab him but was too late. He disappeared in a flash of white light.

The Omnitrix beeped and he returned to normal staring at where Albedo used to be. "Oh man." He said.

He ran back to make sure the other plumbers were okay. With them was Paradox.

"Paradox? Rook said you were here why didn't I see you?" Ben asked.

Professor Paradox gave him a sly smile. "Oh had business elsewhere. I had to bring a helpful chap." He said, turning to show that he was carrying Azmuth in his hands.

"Azmuth? But if you're here then that means this must be REALLY serious." Ben mused looking at the small galvan.

"You are correct Ben Tennyson." Azmuth said. "However for once I have little idea of how bad."

"What do you mean? Where did Albedo go?" Ben asked.

"In a sense… nowhere and yet everywhere." Azmuth said.

"Huh?" Ben asked, scratching his head confused.

Paradox walked up to Ben. "Allow to enlighten you Ben." He said as he pulled out his pocket watch.

"That device that Albedo used allows him to travel through the Multiverse… how to explain.. Ah yes," He showed Ben the tree of the Omniverse.

"Remember way back when, when I showed you the Omniverse was likened to a tree. With branches twisting and extending from one prime universe, the trunk if you will." He said.

"Yeah I've even unlocked a few transformations that will let me travel between those universes," Ben said looking at the Omnitrix.

"Quite so. Well to put it as simply as possible, your tree and it's universe are not the only tree that exists. There are trillions of billions of other trees each with their own prime trunk and ever expanding branches. That is how the multiverse works." He explained.

"The Transdimensional fluxuator was a device I made during my more ambitious years." Azmuth piped up.

"It was designed to act as a bridge between those trees. Giving access to the Multiverse. Albedo used it to leave this tree of universes and travel to a different one."

"So what's the problem? If we don't have another one of those Transdimension thingamajigs then we have no way to chase him. And he said himself he's not planning on coming back." Ben said.

"Maybe not at first Ben." Paradox corrected. "But his Ultimatrix will scan new DNA samples in these other dimensions. Ones with powers that you may not have ever seen. And if after collecting these samples he decides to come back…"

Ben looked at the Omnitrix once again. "Then I'll be powerless to stop him." He concluded.

"That is why this is a dangerous situation." Azmuth said.

"How can I follow him? Can Paradox take me after him?" Ben asked.

"Unfortunately no. There are many things I can do and many places I can travel Benjamin, but only within the constraints of this Omniverse. I'm afraid the Multiverse is a different matter entirely." He said.

"However it is possible to travel." Azmuth said. "You did so once, a year ago."

"When I met Rex. Right." Ben said. "But that was an accident. I don't know how that happened."

"Well if it was an accident then all we have to do is recreate it… and then focus it. Luckily for us we already have a point where the fabric of reality is stretched thin enough to recreate it. Then it is just a simple matter of following the trail left by Albedo." Azmuth hypothesized.

"It's going to be a long trip Ben. Go home and get some rest while Amuth and Paradox work on a way to follow Albedo. We'll see about getting you some backup. In the meantime I'll call up Blukic and Driba to help-"

"A generous offer Max Tennyson but with all due respect on your part. Paradox and I will be able to work much faster and much efficiently without those two. For members of the Galvan species they are incredibly dull." Azmuth interrupted.

"I wish I could go with you Ben. But my duties facilitate that I remain here and prepare for defending the planet without your assistance." Rook apologized.

Ben shook his head with a smile. "Don't worry about it, partner. I'm sure I'll find someone to help. Or who knows maybe you'll find someone to take over for a while so you can come." He said.

"Grandpa Max is right. I'm going home to get some sleep. See you tomorrow." He said leaving the base.

That was chapter 1 of a series I'm very excited for. Full discretion Jetray and Fasttrack were the first aliens to make an appearance in this series mostly because I was salty they were never utilized in Omniverse.
