- This story is set as if Seattle never happened. Mark bought a brownstone right next door to Addison and Derek's. Derek cheated on Addison with Meredith, and Addison cheated on Derek with Mark. Addison never aborted Mark's baby (Heavenly). Meredith got pregnant around the same time. (Willow). Meredith and Derek get married after the divorce and she moves into the brownstone while Addison marries Mark and moves into the brownstone next door.
- I kept Addison's name as Montgomery, even upon the rewrite. It was revealed in this season of Grey's Anatomy that she did not take Jake's last name, so it seemed nice to leave that little bit of cannon in this non cannon story.
