*Makes hand signs* EDO TENSEI! I...can explain? I think? So I realized I left this story pretty much for dead. That was until I was in one of my deep thinking sessions and accidentally came up with something that makes so much sense. The main thing it explains is Jaden's differing personality traits and why he is somewhat of an outcast. The main problem with that, is the reveal would have to take place much later on, like several books later, otherwise, it would throw off a few things I have planned. So, yeah, I should do my idea some justice and get this done.

Chapter 1

Dreams

Skylah P.O.V

Welcome to my turn. Skylah is at your service. Daughter of wisdom, sea, and some random rich person.

*Internally makes finger guns*

Anyway, my brother and I, are currently staying in the Jackson household(Apartment?). Why? My guardian didn't like something I had said. So 3 arguments, 5 shouting matches, 2 expensive things broken, and one headache later for my brother trying to keep the peace, and we ended up here.

My plan of leaving and never turning back had a slight flaw. I forgot everything. Luckily my twin brother is far too...enthusiastic when it comes to planning things so he had 5 different outfits ready for me. He even had my favorite stuffed animal from when I was little(still is my favorite. Don't touch senor spots!).

So anyway, Percy(Our...quarter brother? On the godly side), had a gnarly dream. This isn't uncommon with demigods, but Percys normally mean stuff I won't like will happen.

I should explain something. My brother and I were given a prophecy when we were born. Now being a member of the few people born under the big three(Even if our blood was diluted) still equates to all hades breaking out when we breathe. So the prophecy basically said, we screw up every prophecy given to others if we get involved. 1 line is always proven to be wrong. Now, this could mean great things, like someone dying could be fixed, or bad like, all of them slowly dying in a pit of venomous snakes. Including whichever twin goes.
Percy had a bad dream, Jaden shares dreams with Percy, and he used our twin telepathy to channel what the dream was(By twin telepathy I mean they just spat out the dream quickly and Jaden got to write it down at the speed of light.). Although soon it won't be needed, I'll share dreams...with a growing boy... *Shudder*

I scratched my head looking at the paper. "I thought he was a dude. Why is he getting a wedding dress?"

Jaden smacked the back of my head. "It was to hide. Sofía kóri ton kólo mou"

At first, I was confused why he would bring a donkey and me in the same sentence, then I realized what donkeys were called. "HEY!"

After some light bantering, I noticed Jadens dual-colored eyes flick to the window. I thought I saw a shadow flicker across the glass a humanlike shape. Must be a figment of my imagination. Being a demigod for longer than 2 days makes you paranoid that everything is going to try and kill you. Maybe I should paint that. Sounds kinda cool.

But then there was a knock on the bedroom door—Percy's mom called: "Kids, you're going to be late"—and the shadow at the window disappeared. It must've been my imagination, right?.

A fifth-story window with a rickety old fire escape…there couldn't have been anyone out there. No one normal at least, or a monster. They would either be too big or too small.

"Come on, dears," Percy's mother called again. "Last day of school. You should be excited! You've almost made it!"

"Coming," Percy managed. Percy felt under his pillow and pulled out a ballpoint pen. Percy brought it out, studied the Ancient Greek writing engraved on the side: Anaklusmos. Riptide.

He looked half ready to uncap it and I noticed Jaden was twirling the silver ring on his finger. It had been so long since we had a good real weapon in our hands that we fought with.

Besides, Percy's mom had made us promise not to use deadly weapons in the apartment after Percy had swung a javelin the wrong way and taken out her china cabinet.

Percy put Anaklusmos on his nightstand and dragged himself out of bed.

I went to the bathroom to change there while the boys got dressed. I tried not to think about the nightmare or monsters or the shadow at the window.

The goat boy's voice filtered into my mind Have to get away. Have to warn them! What had Grover meant? Judging from where he was, something that ate satyr. But that doesn't narrow it down in the slightest.

Percy made a three-fingered claw over his heart and pushed outward—an ancient gesture Grover had once taught us for warding off evil and Jaden and I followed his lead.

The dream couldn't have been real. Last day of school. Percy's mom was right, we all should be excited. For the first time in my life, I'd almost made it an entire year without getting expelled. No weird accidents. No fights in the classroom. No teachers turning into monsters and trying to kill me with poisoned cafeteria food or exploding homework. Or even paintings on the walls.

Tomorrow, we'd be on our merry way to our favorite place in the world— Camp Half-Blood.

Only one more day to go.

Surely even our weird demigod-ness couldn't mess that up.

Percy's mom made blue waffles and blue eggs for breakfast. She's funny(A GOOD funny) that way, celebrating special occasions with blue food.

I think it's her way of saying anything is possible. Percy can pass seventh grade. Waffles can be blue. Little miracles like that.

We ate at the kitchen table while Percy's mom and Jaden washed dishes. She was dressed in her work uniform —a starry blue skirt and a red-and-white striped blouse she wore to sell candy at Sweet on America. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail. The waffles tasted great, but Percy wasn't digging in like he usually did so his mother picked on something being wrong.

She looked over and frowned. "Percy, are you all right?"

"Yeah…fine."

But she could always tell when something was bothering any of us. She dried her hands and sat down across from Percy.

"School, or…"

She didn't need to finish. We knew what she was asking.

"We think Grover's in trouble," Jaden said, still doing the dishes.

Percy told her about his dream. She pursed her lips. We didn't talk much about the other part of Percy's life. Or I could say Jaden's and mine as well.

We all tried to live as normally as possible, but Sally knew all about Grover. "I wouldn't be too worried, dear," she said. "Grover is a big satyr now. If there were a problem, I'm sure we would've heard from…from camp.…"

"What is it?" Percy asked.

"Nothing," she said. "I'll tell you what. This afternoon we'll celebrate the end of school. I'll take you guys and Tyson to Rockefeller Center—to that skateboard shop you like."

Oh, man, that was tempting. If I was a dumb boy like these 2 idiots in the room. Well, take jaden from that. His now brown eyes(His normal silver and bright green eyes hidden by the mist) slightly narrowed as he finished up and stood near the table(He is such a creep sometimes. Back when I was little, I'd wake up and find him hovering over me. He said heard me making some noise and thought to come over and check on me, all he did was give me a heart attack! What is up with him always lining things up perfectly like a serial killer and standing ominously over people.)

The Jacksons were always struggling with money. Between Percy's mom's night classes and Percy's private school tuition, they could never afford to do special stuff like shop for a skateboard. They refused any money that Jaden and I offered. Must be because they know we hate using it.

But something in her voice bothered me.

"Wait a minute," Percy said. "I thought we were packing me up for camp tonight."

She twisted her dishrag. "Ah, dear, about that…I got a message from Chiron last night."

Chiron was the activities director at Camp Half-Blood. He wouldn't contact them unless something serious was going on.

"What did he say?"

"He thinks…it might not be safe for you to come to camp just yet. We might have to postpone."

"Postpone? Mom, how could it not be safe? I'm a half-blood! It's like the only safe place on earth for me!"

"Usually, dear. But with the problems, they're having—"

"What problems?"

"Percy…I'm very, very sorry. I was hoping to talk to you about it this afternoon. I can't explain it all now. I'm not even sure Chiron can. Everything happened so suddenly. Jaden, Skylah, it would be best if you didn't go as well"

Jaden had grabbed our backpacks but he looked like he wanted to throw them. Not at anyone, just throw them.

My mind was reeling. How could we not go to camp? I wanted to ask a million questions, but just then the kitchen clock chimed the half-hour.

Sally looked almost relieved. "Seven-thirty, dears. You should go. Tyson will be waiting."

"But—"

"Percy, we'll talk this afternoon. Go on to school." That was the last thing I wanted to do but she had this fragile look in her eyes—a kind of warning that if we pushed her too hard she'd start to cry. Besides, she was right about our friend Tyson.

We had to meet him at the subway station on time or he'd get upset. He was scared of traveling underground alone. Percy and I grabbed our things from Jaden, but Percy stopped in the doorway. "Mom, this problem at camp. Does it… could it have anything to do with my dream about Grover?"

She wouldn't meet his eyes. "We'll talk this afternoon, dear. I'll explain…as much as I can."

Reluctantly, we told her goodbye. We jogged downstairs to catch the Number Two train. I didn't know it at the time, but Sally, Percy, Jaden, and I would never get to have our afternoon talk.

In fact, we wouldn't be seeing whatever we call home for a long, long time.

As we stepped outside, I glanced at the brownstone building across the street. Just for a second, I saw a dark shape in the morning sunlight—a human silhouette against the brick wall, a shadow that belonged to no one. Then it rippled and vanished.

ARGH! Why does everything have to be so difficult?! Jaden seems to have all the gifts from our parents and I got nothing, He has these really cool magic rings, he has the cool dual eye color thing going on.

I do take a bit of satisfaction(To my slight horror) that Jaden doesn't seem to be accepted by either of our godly parents. Our god dad seems to just think I exist but my god mom loves to brag about me to Poseidon and how 'her genes fixed the sea scum'.

One last thing about Jaden, that's all I can take before I barf. I had a feeling Jaden was hiding something from me. Sometimes he would wake up with makes around his neck like someone or thing was strangling him. I was worried that he had made some kind of deal with Hades because shadows were something that would go with the god of the dead.

Now other complicated things. WHAT ARE MY POWERS? AM I JUST SMART?

A.N. You can skip this unless you want a light laugh

What is going on with Grover? what is with the shadow thing? Can Jaden change his eyes to the Sharingan for kicks? Should I paint the shadow I think I've been seeing? What help would I be on the quest I go on if I don't have a weapon? What kind of weapon will I have? Will some god/goddess try and give me things?

Ok, so Another chapter will be out tomorrow, I planned on getting both done today but time won't let me. So I plan on bringing this story back. Hopefully, I can stop giving my anime stories so much attention that I ignore this one again.

*Makes hand signs* Peace out. *Vanishes in a puff of smoke*
