This is how much I have been able to gather about the Hysteria Infection, please overlook this as best as you can and make sense of this, if i need to; I will update this as I look into this infection more and more.
The basics
*Youkai become extremely irritable and agitated more than usual.
*Youkai will actively hunt at all times until they drop from exhaustion or death.
*Youkai will attack, kill and eat other youkais that enter their path when infected.
*When a normal youkai is infected, it will take a total of 10 seconds to 3 days for the
infection to fully complete.
*Youkai under the infection, additionally get much stronger both physically and boost whatever powers they have.
*Current origin is unknown as of writing this.
*Symptoms for youkai are as follows:
purpling of the skin, fur, feather, hide, etc.
Youkai pupils will be permanently dilated.
Certain youkai, such as Kappas have additionally been seen leaking a mysterious viscus substance from their mouth. it has been seen to work similarly to acid. it is advised to never go near a kappa, their sub-species or any water centric youkai as of this time for this very reason.
Additionally, the infection has been shown to rapidly change their personality and ways of speech in certain youkai, it is not known how it is able to do this.
The infection can infect humans and half-youkais; however, the effects have been seen to be radically different. Once infected,
a human will experience an inability to be cured or healed in any way, the infection itself as well will also slowly rot the human from the inside out turning them into what
can be best described as "a mushroom made of dead flesh, meat, and bone." Few have been able to withstand these effects.
Ways of infection can be as simple as a small cut on the face, to a sharp gash on the leg by a youkai, once your cut; it's incredibly hard to survive after.
*Currently we are working on a momentary treatment for our research and hunting team, as well as myself. it's currently way too dangerous to even go and try and look for excess
food.
*The ZENITH state and Zenith Youkai*
The Zenith state is a state in which a youkai has been able to successfully outlast the hysteria infection, suppress, or even use and weaponize it for their own. these youkais
have not only no pupils, but also have dark red rash like skin, fur, hides, etc. These "Zenith Youkai" can cause destruction in a blink of an eye. if there is ever confirmation of
A Zenith Youkai near, Village settlements are to evacuate all villagers and to relocate as best and as fast as possible.

Iku Nagae
Hong Meiling
The Yorigami Sisters
Takane Yamashiro
The Scarlet Sisters.
Hina kagiyama
And Suiki Ibuki
