The Phatom of the Opera

Paris 1919

People were gathered in the old theatre for an auction as another car pulled up. A nurse hopped out of the car first and grabbed a folded up wheelchair and set it up by the side of the car. An older imp wobbled by the car door, and took a look around the old opera house. It still looked almost as grand and rich as he vaguely remembered.

The imp was round head with bushy hair on the sides, and a curly piece of hair on top that, at an angle, looks like a question mark; this hair is more of a mandarin-orange color compared to the rest of his fur, he also had a white beard and it fades in a gradient. His eyes are big and close together; they have light, yellow-colored sclerae. His nose is pointy and shaped like a bat's; it is deep-red in color. His mouth is big, and he has sharp, off-white teeth. He was around his 80s.

After getting settled in the wheelchair, the nurse pushed him inside the opera house.

The imp looked around the opera house to see cob webs and dust on the statues and holes on the roofs the opera house had been abandon for decade's .

It's been years since the elderly imp had been to the old abandoned opera house and to him it brought back memories haunting memories.

The auctioneers voice could be heard while entering inside.

Moff "Sold!" Your number, sir? Thank you.

There were then a few claps of applause as the auctioneer continued.

Moff" Lot 663 then ladies and gentlemen:
a poster for this house's production of "Hannibal" by Chalumeau.

Kratz ( presents the poster ) Showing here!"

The skunk unraveled it, and everyone started the bids.

Moff Do I have 10 francs? Five, then. Five I am bid. Six. Seven. Against you, sir, seven.

The old imp who just entered bid the highest of eight francs.

Moff Eight? Eight once. Selling twice. Sold,to Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny, thank you sir.

After it was sold, the auctioneer went on.

Moff Now lot 664 ladies and gentleman a wooden pistol and three human skulls from the 1831 production of "Robert le Diable" by Meyerbeer."

Kratz Showing here.

Moff Ten francs for this. Ten, thank you. Ten still. Fifteen, thank you. Fifteen I'm at 15.

An Elderly Yellow bird wearing all blacked gazed at the elderly imp in surprise and Foo just looked at her in surprise ad well.

Moff Your number, sir?

After the pistol was sold, Foo's eyes perked up when he saw the main reason he was here, the figure of the monkey. It was the next bid.

Moff Lot 665, ladies and gentlemen...a papier-mache musical box in the shape of a barrel organ. Attached, the figure of a monkey in Persian robes playing the cymbals. This item discovered in the vaultsof the theater, still in working order.

The skunk cranked up the music box as we presents it.

Kratz" Showing here.

The monkey started playing that haunting tune that Foo knew all too well. He had to win it.

Moff May I commence at 15 francs?

Foo bids fifteen,

Moff Fifteen, thank you.

Yes, 20 from you, sir.

Thank you very much.

the elderly bird women raises the bid.

Moff Madame Giry, 25. Thank you, madame. Twenty-five I'm bid. Do I hear 30? Thirty. And Thirty five ?

Foo bid once more, and looked pleadingly at the woman.

She smiled slightly and surrendered bidding against him. Selling at thirty francs, then. Thirty once, thirty twice... Sold for 30 francs to the Vicomte de Chagny. Thank you again, sir.

The auctioneer slammed his little hammer down on the table and ended that bid.

Kratz walked over to the elderly imp and gave him the music box.

The imp took it in his hands and studied it. Then he started singing quietly to himself and the box.

Foo A collector's piece indeed . . every detail exactly as she said . . .
She often spoke of you, my friend ... Your velvet lining, and your figurine of lead... Will you still play, when all the rest of us are dead?

Moff Lot 666, then: a chandelier in pieces some of you may recall the strange affair of the Phantom of the Opera: a mystery never fully explained.

Both Foo and Piri slowly turn to face the chandiler that was covered

Moff We are told ladies and gentlemen, that this is the very chandelier which figures in the famous disaster. Our workshops have restored it
and fitted up parts of it with wiring for the new electric light,

so that we may get a hint of what it may look like when re- assembled. Perhaps we may frighten away the ghost of so many years ago with a little illumination,

gentlemen?

Kratz and a few others pulls off the sheet revealing the shattered chandelier. Foo gasped slightly at the sight of it.

Moff then switches on the chandelier. There is an enormous flash, and the ligths come on

Organ music suddenly plays as the Chandelier ligths up

Both Foo and Piri watch in shock as the Chandelier ligths up and suddely theres a gust of wind blowing over them.

Many thoughts flooded the imps head all at once, as the past started coming back into this opera house…

the opera house is restored to its earlier grandeur.

Dust and cob webs disappear revealing gilt copper electrotype statues the chandelier immense and glittering, rises magically from the stage, finally hovering high above the stall.

And the holes of the burnt up ceiling dissaprer and the burned up ceiling is brougth back to its former glory revealing beutyful ceiling art
