Levi slumped down into the chair and stared at the pile of reports he needed to review on his desk. He wanted to finish everything before lunch time but he didn't have the energy to even begin work. He was exhausted since yesterday. He had to spring-clean the house all on his own. Usually his niece would lend him a hand but Mikasa had been out the whole day to finish some school stuff with her friends. He was starting to wonder what sort of project had been eating up her weekends lately.

Levi sighed. There's no point in delaying his work. If he could not finish this on time, Bushy Brows would interrogate him non-stop like he was some sort of criminal. With a renewed resolve to never give his mentor the pleasure of grilling him, he reached for his bag and took out his pen and notebook. As he did so, a white envelope slipped out and landed on his desk.

Strange. He did not remember inserting it between the pages the night before. He tore the mysterious envelope and pulled out a handmade greeting card with the words "To Uncle Levi" scribbled in a handwriting he knew too well. The cover art was a sketch of a stick man with black hair parted in the middle. He had slanting lines for his brows, dots for his eyes and a thin straight line for his mouth. It was obviously him but even in drawings like this, they couldn't make him a bit taller. Three stick children with happy faces surrounded the grumpy stick man. Each kid had a different hair color so it was easy to distinguish which one represented who. Mikasa had a lot of skills and talents to show the world but drawing wasn't exactly one of them.

Levi opened the card and the words, "Happy Father's Day" were spread out like a banner at the topmost part. Below the greeting were three handwritten messages.

Dear Mr. Ackerman,

Thank you for helping Grandpa clean the house from time to time and for cooking dinner for us whenever Grandpa is not feeling well. I hope you won't get tired of fetching us from school everyday.

Armin

Hello Uncle Levi!

Just wanna thank you for letting me ride with you when my dad and big bro are not around. I know you and Zeke don't like each other that much but you still treat me kindly.

Eren

Uncle,

I miss mama and papa so much but you never made me feel like they weren't here. I want to list down everything that I'm grateful for but it won't fit in this card. Thanks for being my second dad!

Mikasa

Levi's lips slightly curved into a smile. It was the first time that his niece had made him a card. Mikasa must have been too embarrassed to give it to him personally last night. Since her father died, they never celebrated this occasion so it was such a pleasant surprise for him to receive one from the kids. Mike must have noticed him smiling because he approached his desk with utmost curiosity.

"Someone's feeling cheerful today... Oh you got something for Father's Day, too." The blond man peered at the card Levi was holding.

"It's from my niece and her friends."

"Sweet! You know Erwin got one from Hange earlier but he didn't have the same reaction." Mike whispered.

Behind them, Bushy Brows was sitting in silence and staring down at an open card on his desk. He had a gloomy aura around him.

So many questions had started to pop in Levi's head. Why did Four Eyes give him one? Is Bushy Brows already a father? Does he have a secret love child? Or perhaps...

Levi felt a lump form in his throat.

Is he going to be a father soon? Is Four Eyes... carrying his child? But why does Bushy Brows look so dejected? Maybe he doesn't want it? F*ck! If it was my child, I would accept it no matter what!

Levi had to know why or he won't be able to sleep for days. By a stroke of luck, the famous detective rose from his seat and stepped away from his desk to probably get some fresh air. They watched him leave the office floor with footsteps as heavy as his heart. Mike threw Levi a knowing look. It's their only chance and they had to move fast. They quickly made their way towards Erwin's desk to take a peek at Hange's card.

Dear Erwin,

Happy Father's Day! You've been taking care of me since I was a kid so you were like a second father to me. Also, I wanted to make it up to you because I forgot to give you a card on Brother's Day. I really appreciate everything you do for me.

XOXO

Hange

"Oh sh*t. She broke him." Mike and Levi said in unison.
