it takes place in the year 2000, one year later after everything happened back in 1999.
officially seventeen
In June 2000, A beautiful sunny morning in Morioh city, where the birds are singing, the sun is shining with a cool breeze to it and the mailman is making his deliveries as always then drops off some mail along with a delivery package that's for the Higashikata house.
Josuke's mother Tomoko was in the kitchen cooking a big special breakfast for her son, Josuke who is now 17 years old. While she was in the kitchen still cooking, The doorbell rang as she hurried and jogged to the door. She opens it and collects the mail along with the package that was left outside.
Tomoko picks up the box. "finally it's here! He's been begging me all damn summer to get him this. He's going to be so happy when he opens his birthday present. (facing the hallway stairs)
Josuke! I hope you're still not sleeping upstairs, Time to get up and get ready for school and also I'm going to the store later on this afternoon to pick up your birthday cake!"
While his mom was in the kitchen calling his name, upstairs,Josuke was still in bed knocked out. The alarm clock/radio on his nightstand was on the right side of his bed.
The clock said 6:59 AM and it changed to 7 o'clock AM. The alarm went off letting out a loud sound. As he was halfway waking up, A glowing purple aura surrounded him as he activated his Crazy Diamond stand to turn off the alarm.
He slowly opens his eyes while taking a deep breath and letting out a big sigh, as he continues to lay in bed. He starts to rub his head, "Dammit!" He whispered.
"I don't feel like going to school today, but I have no damn choice".
"JOSUKE! I'm not going to tell you again, get up and dress for school!"
Josuke deeply exhales.
in the kitchen
His mom finished cooking breakfast for him, while he came downstairs wearing his classic school uniform.
Tomoko brings him a cup of coffee. "Didn't you hear me calling you? It's like I have to shout my way just for you to get up. Sit down and eat."
Josuke takes the cup. "Sorry, I'm still tired."
On the table, There were 4 strips of bacon, eggs, 3 stacked blueberry flavored pancakes with syrup and whipped cream on top, hash browns, 2 stacks of toast with butter and jelly on the side and a glass pitcher of orange juice.
"Made you a big birthday breakfast." Tomoko smiled
Josuke starts eating as Tomoko picks up the brown package box that the mailman delivered earlier.
"This came in the mail today, it's your birthday gift from me to you."
Josuke holds the box. "what is it?"
"well you have to open it to find out-"
(doorbell rings)
The doorbell ringing cuts off Tomoko's words as she stands up and walks to the door.
"I'll be right back. Finish eating and open your gift."
Josuke opens the box and sees a play station 2 console system inside.
in the living room
Tomoko opens the door and sees Okuyasu.
"Good Morning, Ms. Higashikata" Okuyasu greeted
"Is Josuke still home?"
"morning Okuyasu, he's in the kitchen eating breakfast. you're more than welcome to join-" Tomoko smiled.
"Ooo! There's yummy breakfast! Don't mind if I do." Okuyasu said excitedly as he walked inside the house. Tomoko closes the door and chuckles while shaking her head.
back into the kitchen
"Ah! Ooo! This looks so good." said Okuyasu as his mouth started to water; he then sees his best friend eating at the kitchen table.
"There he is! The birthday boy! How do you feel about being finally 17?" Okuyasu asked
"Oh, I feel like this year will be better than last year." Josuke said as he pulled out his new PlayStation console .
Okuyasu saw Josuke pulling out the PlayStation 2 console while his eyes widened then spits out his drink.
"OH MY GOD! You got a PlayStation 2!? How the hell did you get it? It's sold out at most stores!"
"My mom got it for me." Josuke replied
"You lucky bastard! I tried to get my hands on this system for months prior, but the damn thing was already sold out along with the new GTA (Grand Theft Auto) game. You're lucky, Josuke!"
"It just got even luckier." Josuke pulled out the new GTA game and showed it to Okuyasu.
"OH MY GOD! Lucky! Getting all these damn gifts for your birthday! I wish my birthday would hurry the hell up, I can't wait to get my hands on the play station 2!" Okuyasu said excitedly
Josuke placed his hand on Okuyasu's shoulder "Don't worry you will. In the meantime, Do you wanna play it after school?"
"No shit! Do I?" Okuyasu cheered
Tomoko steps in between the two boys "You two are going to be late for school!"
"Oh Shit! I forgot! Come on Okuyasu we gotta get going!" Josuke palm slapped his face.
"Roger" Okuyasu agreed
"Oh and Josuke, I'm going to the store later this afternoon to pick up your cake for your party, I'll be home before 3pm." Tomoko said
"Okay mom, We'll see you later. Hey Okuyasu! Let's hurry up and get to the bus stop before we miss the bus-"Josuke turns around and sees Okuyasu grabbing more food from the table.
"Okuyasu! What are you doing we're gonna be late?" Josuke said
"Sorry Josuke, Your mom's food is so yummy! I just have to take some with me" Okuyasu said while taking the food from the table.
Josuke sighs. "Fine! Hurry the hell up!"
the two boys left the house running to the bus stop. a green glowing figure in the bushes watched the two boys as it pulled out a camera and snapped a picture of them as it gave out an evil chuckle laugh.
who is this glowing green figure? and why did he take a picture of the boys?
