It was a sunny day in Odaiba, and Davis Motomiya was playing soccer with his team before the school started, just then one of his teammates accidentally kicked the ball too high. Which flew too high, after hearing his friend apologize Davis went to get it, saw it landed near a blond boy he had never seen before.
"Hey, excuse me can you kick the ball back?" Davis asked.
The boy looked at him as if he saw a ghost, after getting over his shock he replied. "Sure." he kicked it back, but it went too high at the same time Spiky black haired kid with golden eyes and a scar down his right eye, who was arguing with a lavender haired girl with glasses when they were interrupted by the soccer ball hitting the boy in the head making him yelp in pain. He wore a black jacket, with a white shirt underneath it, as well as blue jeans and brown boots.
The boy growled before turning to the field. "Ok! Who hit me in the head?" all the kids on the field except Davis pointed at the blond who just looked at him.
"Xeno, you jackass. No fighting." The girl stated.
"No, I'm going to rip him apart, Yolei." Xeno growled making Yolei facepalm as he walked towards Davis and the boy.
"You should go, Xeno has a very short temper." Davis warned.
"Are you sure you can handle him?" the boy said in concern.
"Trust me, we've been brawling since we've first met, go." Davis replied, the blonde boy nodded before rushing to the school entrance, Xeno tried to follow, but Davis got in the way.
"Move Motomiya! Or I'll break you." Xeno threatened.
"Go ahead and try, you couldn't beat me, even if I was in a wheelchair." Davis mocked, angering Xeno even more as a crowd of kids surrounded them to watch the fight, while Yolei sighed knowing where this was going, and decided to head inside to wait for them, as she left both boys charged at each other and began to brawl.
Later inside the school 10 minutes before the bell rang a brunette girl was getting her books out of her locker, Just then Davis appeared covered in bruises.
"Hey Kari." Davis said.
"Oh my god?! Let me guess Xeno again?" Kari asked in concern as she observed him.
"Yeah, some kid accidentally kicked the soccer ball into his head and he wanted to kill him. But I knocked him out and brought him to the infirmary." Davis said.
Kari sighed, Davis and Xeno were her childhood friends since they were 7 years old. And ever since then the three of them had been through thick and thin, but Davis and Xeno have always had this rivalry when they would fight and try to prove who was better and not once did Xeno win. Not to mention Xeno wasn't always like this in fact he had a bad attitude as a kid but after his dad died he became more violent-tempered then before.
"Sometimes, I wish you two wouldn't fight so much, or even at all." Kari stated.
"Sorry, anyway Tai and Sora really got together?" Davis asked, Tai was both his and Xeno's role model and older brother figure, the same can be said for Sora, she was an older sister figure, more to Davis since his biological sister can be a jerk sometimes, they have known both since they first met Kari. All three knew that Tai and Sora loved each other, but it was mostly Tai who never really took the next step. Until last week when Kari told him and Xeno that Tai and Sora had finally got together.
"Yep, it's about time he stopped being thick-headed, Sora told me that after school Tai's taking her to see a movie she's been waiting to see." Kari smiled.
"Good for them." Davis replied.
Kari nodded before checking her Cell Phone and saw class was about to start. "It's almost time for class, come or we'll be late." Kari said before grabbing Davis' hand as she pulled him along all the while Davis blushed. He had always loved Kari, since the day he met her, it wasn't her looks that he fell for, but her kind and caring personality and her drive to help people. It's because of her, he strives to help and support people. But was afraid to admit his feelings fearing it would ruin his friendship with her.
Sometime later in class Davis and Kari walked in, when they saw Xeno who looked pissed as he glared at them but turned away.
"Finally calm down?" Davis asked.
"Shut up, and take your seats. The teacher will be here soon." Xeno said which both took their seats. Just then the teacher walked in along with the blond boy that hit Xeno earlier, the sight of him made Xeno glare at him.
"Alright class, today we have a new student say hello to Takeru Takashi."
"Please just call me TK" TK stated, hearing his name made Kari gasp.
"You can sit next to Kari." the teacher said in which TK did as he sat next to Kari.
"Long time no see, it's been awhile." TK smiled.
"Yes, it has." Kari smiled back, which made Davis glare at how familiar they were to each other.
'They know each other?' Davis thought.
Elsewhere in a place called the Digital World.
"Run for your lives it's the Digimon Emperor!" A scared voice shouted as hundreds of black objects that latched on to Digimon. At that time Patamon, Tentomon and Biyomon were running from a digimon named Snimon before it slashed its twin sickles and missed them but it separated them, Biyomon and Tentomon were sent flying while Patamon hit in the trees.
"No, Biyomon, Tentomon." Patamon said in concern.
"Agumon." Tai said running up to his fallen friend.
"Tai, you're here." Agumon said.
"No time for catching up, time to digivolve." Tai said holding his Digivice, but nothing happened which shocked him.
"That's the problem Tai, I can't Digivolve." Agumon told him.
"It's like riding a bike, remember? So start pelting and Digivolve." Tai replied.
Meanwhile somewhere in the Digital World that shows monitors showing what's happening in the Digital World was a kid, he was wearing yellow sunglasses with purple lenses, a blue, gray and white jumpsuit, black shoes, cuffs on his wrists and ankles, a dark gray belt with a yellow buckle on it, and also a blue cape with a yellow lining that looks very much like insect wings, with golden-yellow shoulder pads.
The kid was laughing. "It's no use, as long as I posses th black Digivice, there's no way they could Digivolve." the kid said as he held up a Digivice of an unknown model different than the one that Tai and the others had.
Meanwhile back with Tai, Agumon and Patamon, Snimon was attacking them again when they ran into Gatomon while running from him.
"Quickly move your tail." Gatomon said.
They eventually entered a cave. Where Tai was sending a message on his D-Terminal for help.
"We're going to need more help. I better contact the others" Tai said
Meanwhile a red-headed girl was putting away her tennis gear, she was dressed in a female version of Tai's uniform, this was his childhood friend and girlfriend Sora. she was happy that she was finally dating Tai and was looking forward to the movie they'll be seeing later in the week all of a sudden her D-Terminal beeped, as she looked she saw the message from Tai and immediately made her way to the computer room.
'Tai you better be ok.' Sora thought as she entered the computer room and saw no one there and held her Digivice then entered the digital world.
Elsewhere Yolei, the girl who was arguing with Xeno, was on the computer when she saw a message appear.
"What's this? Come to the digital world the digimon need help." Yolei read out loud confused by what it means before she read the name of the sender. "Tai Kamiya? Wait Xeno has a friend named Kari Kamiya. Maybe this is for her."
At the sametime Kari was talking with TK when Davis walked up.
"Hey Kari, I didn't know you knew the new kid." Davis stated.
"Oh, yeah. TK this is my childhood friend Davis." Kari introduced him.
"Oh, I know you. Thanks for keeping that jerk away from me." TK said, which made Davis and Kari frown.
"TK, don't call Xeno a jerk. He's my second childhood friend." Kari told him which made TK flinch.
"Yeah, Xeno may act up sometimes but he's a good guy once you get to know him." Davis added.
"Sorry, but why does he act like that, though?" TK asked before Kari could answer Yolie came along.
"Excuse me, are you Kari Kamiya?" Yolei asked.
"Yes, Yolei right? Xeno talks about you alot." Kari asked which Yolei's eyes sparkled when hearing Xeno had talked about her but she shook it off and continued.
"Yes, I got a message from a boy called Tai Kamiya. It sounds like something important." Yolei answered which made all three stiff.
Elsewhere walking down a sidewalk on his way home Xeno was still fuming about getting hit in the head with a soccer ball by TK and from getting his ass handed to him by Davis yet again.
"I'll Kill that TK kid, and I will beat you Motomiya just you wait." Xeno growled when suddenly he stopped at the sound of footsteps all the sudden he was surrounded by older kids wearing blue school blazers.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here, Xeno Jameser walking alone without Davis." A brown head teen he was a foot taller than Xeno and appeared to have a black eye said.
"Sai, I don't need Motomiya to kick you and your pathetic gang's asses." Xeno mocked while cracking his knuckles.
At that point someone from behind Sai's gang knocked them out before revealing himself. He was a silver haired teen whose hair has a large black streak in it on the front that covers his forehead and is tied into a ponytail and has red eyes.
"That's enough Sai." the teen said glaring at him.
"Brother." Sai said in fear, this was Sai's older brother Nobu who was captain of the school's kendo club and is friends with Xeno as well as childhood friends of both Tai and Kari.
"Nobu then turned to Xeno. "Xeno you really have to work on that temper as well." Nobu reprimanded calmly like an older brother.
"Yeah right." Xeno replied while shrugging. "Anywell i'm heading home, Motomiya and that T-Fuck have alriead ruined my day."
"Anyone ruins your day when they disturb you." Nobu said knowing Xeno's personality before one of his friends came to him and whispered something in his ear
"Alright I understand, i'll be heading to the computer room." Nobu told his friend before turning to Xeno again. "Now please try to behave, I'm still Student President and I'm trying to help you and I can't keep bailing you." Nobu said before leaving.
"I answer to no higher authority only my mother but I might as well head home." Xeno said before leaving
"Nobu, why should you bother with him, he's a lost cause anyway." Hackmon sneered not liking Xeno's disrespect towards Nobu
"Because he's still a friend." Nobu told his partner/friend.
Meanwhile the others were heading towards the computer room when Izzy ran into them.
"Izzy." TK said in surprise and happiness.
"Long time no see, I've seen you've grown." Izzy smiled.
"I can say the same for you, you were only slightly taller than me." TK added.
"Never mind the reunion, somthings happening in the digital world. I got the message from Tai and Sora entered not too long ago." Izzy informed.
At that point Nobu appeared. "Hey everyone." he said
"Nobu." Davis and Kari said in a happy tone at seeing their friend.
"Normally i'll have to punish you for going away but this is an emergency." Nobu said as he took out a strange device from his pocket surprising Kari, Izzy and T.K
"What's that? A digivice?" Izzy asked intrigued.
"It's different from ours." Kari said, taking out hers.
"It's called a Fusion Loader." a voice said surprising them.
"Where did that voice come from?" Davis asked in confusion.
"In here." Nobu said as he held up the Fusion Loader. "Reload Hackmon." at those words Hackmon appeared before them surprising both Yolei and Davis.
"Greetings, my name is Hackmon." Hackmon said while introducing himself
"Nobu, what are you doing? Digimon are supposed to be a secret." Izzy complained.
"It won't be a secret for long, since those two are here and Xeno will probably learn soon as well." Nobu said.
"Still don't know why you still help that guy." Hackmon sneered.
"Hey, don't talk about him like that." Yolei told Hackmon.
"Don't bother with him, he's a member of the Royal Knights and until otherwise his opinion of him will be the same." Nobu said
"I could already Digivolve to Ultimate on my own even before meeting Nobu, but now I could digivolve to my mega form." Hackmon said with pride.
"So you're a digimon? Tai told me about you guys." Davis said while observing Hackmon
"Can you back away please, you're making me uncomfortable." Hackmon said
"Enough." Nobu said before turning to Izzy. "Is there a way to open the gate to the Digital World?"
"Yes, if Tai and Sora entered using a method we should be able to do the same." Izzy answered while typing on the computer, until a gate appeared on the computer. "Got it."
At the same time inside the cave they were hiding in Tai and the other Digimon had found a strange egg with a spike in it with the crest of courage.
"It has the crest of courage on it?" Tai said in surprise.
"I never saw an egg with a spike in it." Agumon added.
"I hate to be the chicken that laid that thing." Gatomon commented as Tai tried to lift it the egg began to glow orange before he just away suddenly 5 balls of light rose out of it.
"Fireflies?" Tai questioned as the balls of light flew out of the cave which Sora had found Biyomon a while ago.
"You saw that Sora?" Biyomon asked.
"Yes, someone must be in the cave." Sora replied before they made their way to the cave. "Hello! Is anybody in here?"
At that point they encountered a Greymon, but he looked different from Tai's Greymon, his helmet has cranial spikes, he has bony protrusions on its knees, his skin is blue with orange stripes, and his tail is tipped with a bayoneted gun muzzle.
"What are you doing here? Beat it weaklings" the Greymon snarled slamming his tail on the ground
"We don't want trouble, we're trying to find our friends, we saw lights coming from this cave and thought they were in here." Sora explained.
"Well you got your answer now leave. Only Nobu is allowed here." Greymon roared once again slamming his tail on the ground.
"Nobu? He's a friend of mine." Sora said taking out her phone and showed him a picture of herself, Tai and Nobu at a roller coaster in an amusement park.
Greymon began to calm down and lost some of his aggression but still remained hostile. "Very well you may stay, but the Digimon Emperor is still out there." he warned as he went out to hunt
"Digimon Emperor? Is that why you can't digivolve?" Sora asked Biyomon.
"Yes, it's because of his dark digivice that we can't digivolve." Biyomon confirmed.
"Ok, let's find Tai, he's in there I know it." Sora said as they entered, as they went deeper they saw Tai, Agumon, Patamon and Gatomon.
"Tai, everyone, you're alright." Sora said as she ran up to hug him.
"Yeah I am." Tai said as he hugged her back.
"Did anyone hear that earthquake just now?" Gatomon ask
"Please tell me it was your stomach Agumon?" Patamon asked.
"No we ran into a Greymon and he kinda went all ballistic on us." Biyomon explained.
"He knows Nobu, which means he's a digidestined, but I thought we and others were the only ones out there." Sora stated.
At that point the same Greymon returned while carrying some meat in his jaw, startling Sora as well as Tai and the others. "Oh great you're still here." he complained.
"Tai I wouldn't insult a digimon who is a champion, when our digimon can't Digivolve." Sora suggested.
"Technically, I have no level." Greymon said as he ate his meal.
"No, level? What do you mean?" Agumon questioned in surprise if he was a Greymon he had to digivolved from an Agumon.
"It's true I did Digivolve, but that's from years of combat or battling." Greymon explained before staring at the egg. "I see you found the Digi-Egg of Courage."
"That's why it has my crest. But when I tried to move it 5 lights appeared out of it, and flew away. And I couldn't budge it." Tai informed him.
"So what's with this thing?" Sora asked as she tried to move it but it won't budge. "I can't move it."
"My guess the lights are choosing new heroes to save this world from a brand new darkness that Nobu predicted will come." Greymon explained as he just finished his meal.
"New heroes, new Digidestined?" Tai questioned.
"How does Nobu know?" Sora asked.
"His sister Haruka along with her partner did some readings and came up with it." Greymon explained
"That explains a lot." Tai said cluelessly. "Does one of these reads say why the Digimon Emperor is enslaving Digimon."
"It does, but Haruka said it's better to understand for yourselves and Nobu agrees, also the true evil isn't the Digimon Emperor as you'll find out." Greymon said Before turning to Gatomon.
"You'll also receive a message from beyond the grave when you all hold a memorial for what happened 3 years ago." Greymon said
"Wow, you know those words remind me of Genai." Tai frowned and remembered how the old man would say cryptic things that they would have to figure out on their own.
Back in the human world the others were talking about the trip they'll make before a little kid came in. This kid was Cody, a friend of Yolei.
"Yolei, I thought you were coming over to fix my computer." Cody said.
"Oh, yeah I forgot. Sorry but I have to go talk to you all later." Yolei said before she left with Cody.
"We should go, while the gate is still open." Izzy said.
"I'm going too." Davis stated.
"Not everyone can go, you need a digivice." TK said while holding his digivice in hand.
"Look, TC. If Tai's in danger, I'm going too." Davis countered as he said that 5 lights shot out of the computer, one landed in his hands as the other four flew out of the room, two landed in Yolei and Cody's hands while the others flew out of the building.
"Whoa?! What is this?" Davis asked, showing them a Digivice. Looking like a walkie-talkie.
"A digivice?!" TK said in shock.
"It's a different model then the ones we have." Kari added.
"And it's way different than mine." Nobu said
"We should go, now Tai and Sora are waiting." Izzy said looking at the computer.
"You don't have to tell me twice." Kari said pointing her digivice at the computer as she suddenly got sucked in.
"Well, I always promised to back both Tai and Sora up when we were kids." Nobu said as Hackmon returned to the Fusion loader before he pointed it at the computer as he was suddenly sucked in as well.
"I'm right behind you!" TK exclaimed as he pointed his digivice at the computer and was sucked in as well.
Davis was shocked while Izzy just stared at him. "Well now it's your turn, unless you're scared." Izzy said
"I'm there." Davis said as he pointed his digivice at the computer and was sucked in as well
Izzy was about as well when Yolei and Cody appeared.
"What happened here?" Yolei said in concern.
"Well um.." Izzy stuttered.
Meanwhile Kari, Nobu, T.K and Davis had arrived in the Digital World.
"Master let me out please." a voice called out.
"Very well." Nobu said as he held up his Fusion Loader. "Reload MailBirdramon."
At that moment an unknown Digimon to both Kari and T.K appeared, he is a giant blue mechanical bird. He has robotic blue wings with a red crystal on top. His face is blue and its jaws are silver. It also has a long silver neck. Its legs are blue with white feet. The tail hasblue armor
"Whoa I never seen this digimon before." TK said in surprise.
"He's MailBirdramon as well as Greymon's fusion partner." Nobu explained.
"Fusion?" Kari asked.
"No time for that, we have to find Tai and Sora." Nobu said as he jumped on MailBirdramon's back. "Get on." Davis, Kari and TK nodded before they jumped on.
"Where are we going to find Tai and Sora? They could be anywhere." Davis asked.
"Your digivices can track them easily." Nobu said as Mailbirdramon took flight.
"Still, this seems too easy." MailBirdramon calmly said as he flew off towards Greymon's area.
Meanwhile back with the Digimon Emperor he just saw everything on the monitor.
"More, unwelcome guests? Where are my manners? I should send them all a welcoming committee." the emperor smirked wickedly as he typed on his keyboard that showed digimon. "Attack Monochromon, DarkTyrannomon and Airdamon!"
At that Point, Tai, Sora and the others were tracking them on their digivices and were riding Nobu's Greymon.
"Can't believe that I'm risking myself out here." Greymon grumbled
"What do you mean?" Tai asked.
"I mean that without Nobu here breaking free from those rings will be impossible." Greymon said
"Rings?" Sora questioned.
"The dark rings, once they attach the digimon, are stripped of their free will, similar to what Devimon did." Patamon answered.
"I burned any that came near me and managed to rescue those who were in danger which is why we're hiding." Greymon said before everyone saw Mailbidramon flying ahead. "Perfect."
"You might want to hang on, cause I'm about to get a friend's attention." Greymon grinned.
"What do you mean?" Gatomon asked in worry.
"Blaster Tail." Greymon shouted as he spun around with everyone getting dizzy before slamming his tail to the ground creating an explosion.
Meanwhile Mailbidramon along with everyone else just saw the explosion.
"The hell was that?" Davis asked.
"It seems our friend is signaling us to land." Mailbirdramon said knowing it was his fusion partner Greymon.
Meanwhile back with Greymon and the others Tai, Sora and the others were dizzy and on the ground when Mailbirdramon landed in front of them.
"You really had to do that?" Mailbirdramon ask
"Yes I did, and it was worth it." Greymon said.
Tai, what's wrong with you?" Kari said as she jumped off of MailBirdramon's back
"I just rode with a natural roller coaster." Tai said getting off Greymon while trying not to vomit.
"Yeah he does that." Nobu said as he helped Tai back to his feet
"You ok Tai?" Davis asked.
As Tai got his bearing he was surprised to see Davis. "Davis, what are you doing here?"
"TK!" Patamon exclaimed as he flew to his friend.
"Hey Patamon." TK hugged him.
"Gatomon." Kari smiled hugging her partner until she noticed Gatomon's tail ring was gone. "What happened?"
"We'll explain later when we get back to the cave." Sora said as they all made their way back to the cave.
Later inside the cave Gatomon began to explain the situation.
"One day this human appeared, and declared I'm the digimon emperor and began enslaving all of the digimon including our friends." Gatomon explained.
"Yeah, he uses the dark rings to control the digimon." Gatomon informed.
"Yeah once it's attached you're a slave for life." Patamon added.
"This dark digivice of his is draining our power and is making us as newborn kittens." Gato stated.
"Show her yours." TK told Davis.
"Like this one." Davis asked showing Gatomon his.
"That's it you work for the Digimon emperor." Gatomon said, accusing Davis.
"Wait I don't work for anybody, besides mine not dark, I got it when it came out of the computer." Davis explained.
"Nobu, your Greymon told us that the digimon emperor is not the real enemy, I still wonder why he's doing this?" Tai asked.
"As both me and Haruka said it's better to find out for yourself." Nobu said.
"Whatever, can you at least tell us what's with this digiegg?" Tai asked, turning his attention to the Digiegg of Courage.
"Well when I came here I at first thought someone with courage in their hearts could pull it out so I tried pulling it out but couldn't." Nobu explained as he tried to make it budge but couldn't.
"After that, Nobu has come up with a bunch of theories and possibilities concerning these Digieggs." Hackmon said as he appeared
"You it's like the sword in the stone? Only the rightful king can remove it, the sword I mean." Davis suggested.
"Has anyone else tried?" Nobu asked
"I did, but I couldn't move it. But 5 lights appeared out of it and flew out of the cave." Tai answered.
"That when Davis as well as 4 others got hit by the lights." Nobu said as he held his hand to his chin thinking
"Wait 4? That means there are others?" Sora asked.
"If the three of us couldn't move it, that means one of these 3 must be able to lift it." Nobu said.
"Let me try." TK said as he tried to lift it, but no dice.
"Out of the way, this is a woman's job." Kari said as she tried to lift but nothing.
"Too bad, that we don't have any woman here to help." Nobu said, smirking. Only for Sora to hit him in the head growling.
"Calm down, was just a joke." Nobu said
"Sure it was." Sora scuffed.
"If this kid actually pulls it out, Greymon could you do me a favor?" MailBirdramon asked.
"What?" Greymon replied.
"Kill me." MailBirdramon said in a bored monotone voice as if he has no faith in Davis.
"What did I do to you?" Davis asked, offended by his tone.
"Ignore them Davis, I believe you." Nobu smiled.
"Thanks." Davis replied as he pulled the Digiegg of courage out without any trouble. "Well that wasn't hard." all over a sudden a pillar of orange light appeared, shocking them before a figure appeared, it looked like a small blue dragon with a horn on his nose and a yellow V on its head. It opened its eyes before jumping around in joy.
"Wo ho! Free at last, you moved the digiegg." the blue dragon jumped around Davis in joy. "Hello My name is Veemon."
"Um hi I'm Davis." Davis introduced himself.
"I heard of Veemon before, he's an adventure seeking Digimon that brings you good luck. But I thought they were extinct?" Mailbirdramon explained.
"Yes, so have I." Greymon said as he looked into the sky.
"That means Davis is pretty lucky to have a rare digimon." Kari smirked.
"Luck or fate perhaps." Nobu said.
"More like dumb luck." Hackmon said with both Greymon and Mailbirdamon nodding their heads
"Nice to meet you Davis, you're my new partner, since you removed the digiegg of courage." Veemon said.
"I think you have the wrong guy." Davis said all the sudden the ground began to shake. "The hell is that an earthquake?"
"No look up there?" TK said, pointing at the ceiling.
At that point Monochromon tore a hole through the ceiling before he landed on the ground.
"Nobu, take Everyone to safety, I'll handle him.." Greymon told Nobu.
"Okay then." Nobu said. "Quick everyone we have to get out of here."
Everyone ran out of the caves but when they got out they saw 10 Airdramon as well as DarkTyrannomon.
"Master, i'll handle this." MailBidramon said as he flew to battle the flock of Airdramon.
"Hackmon you're up for this?" Nobu ask as they slowly back away from DarkTyrannomon
"Absolutely." Hackmon answered.
"Okay." Nobu said as he took out the Fusion Loader. "Let's see if this dark digivice can stop Hackmon from digivolving." Nobu said. As he created a ring of energy around him. "Hackmon, Digivolve." Hackmon began to digivolve before becoming a bigger version of himself with the goggles on his mantle. "BaoHackmon."
"No way, he digivolved?!" Gatomon exclaimed in shock.
"How? We can't digivolve, but can he?" Agumon questioned.
At that point Monochromon was knocked out into the clearing looking exhausted with Greymon coming out.
"Hmph, not even worth the effort." Greymon scoffed.
Meanwhile in the air, MailBidramon was battling the Airdramon but their numbers were giving him trouble.
"This is definitely a problem." Mailbirdramon calmly said as he avoided an attack while counterattacking.
"Davis, you need to open the Digi egg." Veemon stated.
"I don't know what you're talking about?" Davis replied.
"Davis, you need to use your courage to open it." Tai told him.
All of the sudden another Monocromon appeared, shocking them, as it charged.
"Scatter!" Tai shouted, the team scattered running in all directions Davis, Kari, Veemon and Gatomon were running when Kari missteped and fell to the ground letting out a painful yep while Gatomon stopped to check on her partner.
"Kari are you all right?" Gatomon asked.
"I can't move my ankle, it's sprained." Kari said in pain, just then Monochromon charged at them as Davis turned and saw his friend about to get killed.
"Kari! If you want courage I'll give you courage! Digiarmor energize!" Davis shouted as the digiegg of courage glowed as Veemon began to digivolve.
"Veemon armor digivolve to… Flamedramon the fire of courage." Veemon then evolved into a grown version of himself, he now has armor on his face, chest, thighs, hands, and feet, has a blade-like spike protruding from his mask and claws from its hands. The armor is covered with flame-like designs. The forehead spike and the armor's flame design are references to the Digi-Egg of Courage, with which it is intimately associated. He also wears belts on his upper arms. Flamedramon tackled Monocromon, sending him flying away from Kari and Gatomon.
Everyone looked surprised at what they saw.
"Armor Digivolve?" Tai questioned.
"I've heard of this, but I have never seen it." Greymon said.
At the same time the Digimon emperor was calm but agitated, he saw that a digimon was able to digivolve despite the power of his dark digivice, and he saw an unknown type of digivolution.
"Armor Digivolve? And that Digimon was able to bypass the power of my dark digivice. They are more resourceful than I thought."
Both Monochromon charged their respective opponents.
"Horn Strike." Greymon shouted as he charged as well, meeting the attacking head on knocking the first Monochromon out cold before breaking the dark ring on his body with his tail.
Meanwhile Flamedramon just held him off before flipping him over his shoulders.
Meanwhile MailBirdramon was finishing his battle with the final 3 Airdramons.
"Plasma Cannon." Mailbirdramon shouted as he fired a barrage of high-energy plasma shells from his mouth not only taking them out of the sky but also destroying their Dark rings as well.
"Well that takes care of that." Mailbirdramon said bored before heading back to rendezvous with the others.
The second Monocromon had recovered from being flipped over, as Flamedramon charged.
"Volcanic Strike!" Monochromon exclaimed before firing a barrage of fire balls, which Flamedramon effortlessly punched through the attacks irritating Monochromon, as Flamedramon got near him, he used his horn and flipped Flamedramon into the air shocking everyone, at the moment Flamedramon recovered as he used his fire rocket attack to dive towards monochromon and hit the dark ring on his back as it disintegrated, as the Monochromon passed on after being freed.
As Flamedramon landed he looked towards BaoHackmon who seemed to doing well in his battle against DarkTyrannomon.
"Fire Blast" DarkTyrannomon exclaimed as she blasted a giant blast of fire at BaoHackmon who just seemed to vanished shocking everyone.
"Dragrey Spiker!" BaoHackmon exclaimed as he suddenly reappeared behind DarkTyrannomon before kicking the Dark ring on his neck with the blades on his legs freeing him.
At this point Flamedramon, began to glow orange before the light shot out and hit Davis' Digivice which sent a light into Davis' coat pocket, which he checked and saw that had a D-Terminal as he opened it and saw an icon that looked like an egg.
"Not, bad blue boy." Greymon told Veemon.
"Thanks." Veemon smiled.
Sometime later after saying goodbye to the digimon, Nobu was checking Kari's ankle which made her wince every time he touched it.
"It's not broken, but I suggest you stay off it for a day or 2." Nobu told Kari.
"Thanks." Kari smiled.
"Looks like the sun is going down, now we can relax." Patamon said.
"Why's that?" Tai asked.
"That Digimon Emperor never comes out at night." Gatomon answered.
Just then Davis kneeled down to Kari and his back turned to her.
"What are you doing?" Kari asked.
"Your ankle is sprained. We can't have you walking and making it worse." Davis told her in a caring tone.
"Thanks Davis but I can walk on my own." Kari replied in a teasing tone as she tried to get up but yelp in pain before sitting back down, which Davis gave her a teasing smile.
At that point Nobu picked up Kari bridal style. "Come, Looks like i'll have to take you to my mother to help you." Nobu said while carrying her
"Better luck next time Davis." Sora chuckled but she knew that Kari would have allowed Davis to carry her, being the digidestined of love she could see that Kari cared for him more than just a friend, even when they were little Kari had always loved him.
"I don't care, as long as she's ok, I'm happy." Davis smiled even if he were a little Jealous. All that mattered was that Kari was ok.
"Hey, Nobu, what where you're touching her!" Tai warned.
"Come on, Tai we both know I would never do anything to her." Nobu chuckled, before turning to his partners. "Be safe." which they gave him a firm nod.
Tai, decided to go with Nobu and Kari to his digiport while Davis, TK and Sora headed for the school's saying they'll meet up later.
Meanwhile in the computer room Izzy was with Cody and Yolei who were eating brownies as they were talking about the digital world.
"So is this digital world some sort of amusement park or something?" Yolei asked.
"No, it's better if you find out for yourself." Izzy eating the brownie. "And these brownies are the best."
"Hey what does it mean when that light is on?" Yolei asked.
"What light?" Izzy asked.
"That Light." Yolei answered while pointing to the computer only to see Davis, TK, and Sora, freaking her out.
"Hey it's me Davis let me out." Davis said from within the computer.
Meanwhile in the Digital World the monitor began to glow before sucking them up with all the Digimon staring in shock.
"You don't see that every day." Agumon said.
"No you don't." Greymon said before leaving.
"Well are you guys coming with us?" Mailbirdramon said
"Where are you going?" Biyomon asked.
"To rendezvous with the rest of your friends as well as the rest of Nobu's digimon as well as Haruka's and Sai's digimon partners." Hackmon answered.
"Ok." Veemon said as he and others followed them.
At the same time Davis TK and Sora landing on everyone in a dog pile, they all groaned in pain trying to get unraveled.
"Hey get off, you're crushing my brownies!" Izzy shouted.
"It's not our fault, we fell out of the computer on to you Izzy!" Sora shouted, when she felt a hand touch a private area she then glared at TK and Davis who were nervous when Davis showed both his hands were to the floor, which made TK scared when Sora slapped him in the face, making him scream in pain.
"Ok, if all of you don't move I'll slap the rest of you!" Sora shouted in rage as everyone quickly up and moved away from her. "I expect this from Matt, but you crossed the line TK!"
"It was an accident Sora." TK said in fear.
"So where's Tai, Nobu and Kari?" Izzy asked, trying to change the subject.
"Kari sprained her ankle and couldn't walk so Nobu took her and Tai to his house to heal her." Davis answered.
"Can I go to the digital world now?" Yolei asked.
"Na, we should go home, it's getting late, we should head home." Sora said.
"Aww but I want to go now!" Yolei complained as they all left.
"I'll catch up, I just have to check-" Izzy was cut off when he saw the gate was closed.
Elsewhere at Nobu's house, which was near the apartments that Tai lived in.
Nobu's mother Sakura was checking Kari's leg.
"Alright dear, like Nobu said, you shouldn't put any pressure on it for at least 2 days and it should be as good as new." Sakura inform Kari
At that point Sai came back home. "Mom, I'm home, is dinner ready yet?" Sai he saw that Kari and Tai were here.
"Almost, son, we are currently having patients." Sakura said.
"Can't be helped since this house is a dojo and a clinic." Sai said
"Yeah, I'm glad Xeno didn't end up here as usual. He needs to learn to control his temper." Sakura commented she knew that Xeno hasn't been the same since his father died 3 years ago, causing him to grow more Violent as well as shutting people out.
"He probably would have, if I didn't stop Sai and his band of misfits." Nobu explained with Sai shrugging as if he doesn't care at all.
"Sai, how many times do I have to tell you, no picking fights with Xeno, the last time he broke 4 of your ribs and you broke his arm and two ribs." Sakura exclaimed in rage.
At that point the middle child appeared, Haruka, she has pale rose hair that has bangs going on both sides with her hair going past her waist.
"What's going on here?" Haruka asked.
"Nothing Kari got injured today, and I stopped Xeno from killing our brother and his friends." Nobu said.
"Oh, I hoped Xeno would end you Sai, but too bad." Haruka smiled while Sai huffed. "So Kari are you ok?"
"Yeah, I misstep and twisted my ankle, but I should be fine in two days." Kari smiled.
"Good to know, so how's Davis doing? I would have thought he would have carried you here?" Haruka teased making Kari blush.
"Well anyway, want to stay for dinner?" Nobu interrupted.
"Teriyaki Chicken and rice and tea." Sakura answered, before turning to Tai and Kari. "You two can stay for the night if you want and go home tomorrow."
"Sure, let me call our parents." Tai answered as he took out his cell and called him mom, after a few minutes he hung up.
After they all had dinner, Tai and Kari were in Nobu's room.
"Okay why are we in my room?" Nobu asked.
"Earlier you mentioned that Mailbirdramon was a fusion partner for your Greymon, what do you mean?" Kari asked.
"I'll show you." Nobu said as he typed in the information on his computer which shows both his Greymon as well as Mailbirdramon before an Image was shown that shows Greymon wearing Mailbirdramon as armor with his head and neck attached to Greymon's tail, Mailbirdramon's tail on his arm, and Mailbirdramon's back piece as the helmet.
"Meet my MetalGreymon." Nobu said.
"It's weird seeing another variation of MetalGreymon like that." Tai commented. "So how does this fusion work, a little different than when WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon fused into Omnimon."
"It depends on the Digimon as the digimon could actually turn into an accessory such as a sword." Nobu said as he pulled up another image of another digimon they had never seen before, it looked like the Xenomorph from Alien only, it was a blue robot-like Digimon with purple transparent panels on its face, arms, and legs and a long tail with a lance-like tip. It has five claws on each hand, two of which are thumbs, and two clawed toes. It also has four red wings with Voronoi-like holes, it was wielding a double-bladed lance.
The next image shown was a gigantic Launcher being wielded by MetalGreymon.
"So this fusion allows your digimon to become stronger and allows them to gain weapons from the digimon it fuses with, like power rangers with the megazords." Kari stated.
In a way probably, but the MetalGreymon born from fusion based on the data has enough power to compete with even mega Digimon." Nobu said shocking both Tai and Kari.
