"But don't feel pressured," Rodrick told Jade as she walked around her room, grabbing an item here and there and throwing them carelessly into her trunk for school, she never packed this early, but her mother had agreed to let her spend the rest of her summer at the Weasley's after the Quidditch World Cup. Her mother was excited about it, she'd never met any of the Weasleys children but she had 'heard good things' about them. "Even if he does nice things, that doesn't mean you have to be… girlfriend and boyfriend." He went on painfully and Jade sighed and came to a halt in front of him, clutching a bra in her right hand.

"Please, I don't want to hear you try and explain dating to me." Jade groaned and Rodrick shielded his eyes,

"Put that away, will you?" He asked pointing out to his right, a bit off from where she was standing. Jade looked at the bra in her hand and threw it into her trunk.

"It's not like you've never seen a bra before." Rodrick yelped and covered his ears. "Okay!" She yelled and he peeked open his eyes and then let his hands fall down to their sides. She wouldn't get any further with Rodrick pestering her.

"It's awkward for me too, trust me." He told her as she grabbed her books off her desk and let them fall on the bed of clothes in her trunk with a soft thud.
"Don't parents usually give this talk?" Jade asked.

"I volunteered, I thought it'd be better than dad trying to talk to you about it."

"You're right about that." Jade looked around her room and went to open her windows so Ezekiel could come in. Books, check. Clothes, check. Ezekiel... She peeked outside and Ezekiel flew in to land on one of the posts at the foot of her bed.

"I just… I mean, you're only fourteen."

"Yes, I am fourteen." Jade snipped back at him, heading back for her closet. "Not that I'm dating, but to point out, there were plenty of kids dating last year."

"Thirteen? You guys get busy." Jade made a disgusted sound,

"Ew, not like that." Jade returned with another dress in her hands.

"Another dress? Why you dressing up all of a sudden?"

"I was actually just going to ask your opinion on it." Jade narrowed her eyes at him.

"I'm glad you still think that's gross." Rodrick chuckled.

"What's gross?" Jade asked, looking at herself in the mirror and then throwing the dress back into her closet.

"Getting busy." Jade made another disinterested sound. "Good. I just wanted to talk to you 'cause I know you and Malfoy are close."

"I'm close with Blaise too." Jade pointed out.

"Well then I'm worrying about Zabini too, more so Malfoy since you're going off with him to the World Cup." Jade sighed, she hadn't been sure about taking Draco's offer from last year before the summer break but when she made up her mind, her brother was sour about it.

"He's my friend, I like hanging out with him is all." Jade gave a final look around, she had gotten everything. "And that's only for one night, thanks to mum, I'm spending the last weeks of summer at the Weasley's."

"I heard," Rodrick said, from his tone, Jade could tell he didn't agree with that decision either. "Three boys, all around your age, under the same roof."

"Five." Jade corrected as she tried to close her trunk.

"Five?"

"Yeah, Harry will be there too! Mrs. Weasley said so in the letter she sent to mum."

"That's four."

"Well, there's Percy too. Ron said he hasn't moved out yet even though he's got a new job at the Ministry. Then there's Bill and Charlie, they're expected to be there too."

"Seven?" Rodrick counted mentally.

"Rodrick," Jade huffed, she needed to start getting ready soon, Draco and his father would be there any minute to pick her up. "Bill and Charlie are years older than me-"

"Some girls like older men." Rodrick interrupted her.

"Ew!" Jade emphasized. "And then there's Percy, who… let's just say he's not my cup of tea." She really couldn't stand Percy but she didn't want to be rude.

"What about the others?" Rodrick questioned and Jade huffed again as she went back into her closet to find something to wear for the night. She'd been told to 'dress muggle' but her mother reminded her she should look nice. Not her best clothes but something appropriate for a girl in a pureblood family, Jade really didn't care about that stuff, and her parents weren't as annoying about it as others, but they still felt it important to act in their stature.

"Fred and George are two years ahead of me," Jade called out to him.

"My previous argument still stands." She wouldn't tell her brother that she found the older twins attractive, they had handsome faces and she caught a few glimpses of their arms, which were nicely defined. She skimmed through her clothes to focus herself, no, she wouldn't tell her brother that, it would make him go all protective and crazy.

"Then there's Ron and Harry, and I'm sorry," Jade came out with a different dress in her hands and showed it to Rodrick who shook his head. "But I don't look at them that way."

"Well, what about Malfoy? What are your thoughts on him?" She retreated back into her closet,

"I'm not going to talk boys with you, Rodrick."

"I'm the best person for you to talk about boys with. I know what they're thinking." Before she could argue with him there was a knock at her door.

"Jade? Almost ready?" Her mother's sweet voice called to her and Jade came out of her closet.

"No, Rodrick doesn't like anything I show him." Jade blamed her current state on her brother and he looked from his mother to his sister, wondering how it was his fault.

"Rodrick, honestly." Her mother sighed and her brother rolled his eyes as she joined her daughter in the closet. She sorted through the nice dresses hung in Jade's closet. "Nothing too long or flowy." Her mother mumbled. "Ah." Her mother smiled and pulled out a nice black knee-length dress.

"Can't I just wear jeans?" Jade asked. "I doubt people will be dressed like this for a Quidditch game."

"You're going with the Malfoys, dear." Her mother hummed as she handed Jade the dress. "And I already know they're going to look… elegant. No matter what the occasion." Her mother had a point there, so Jade obediently began undressing and slipped into the dress. It was sleeveless and tight around her waist, showing off her curves. "Bring a cloak in case you get cold." She patted Jade on her shoulder and then they both walked out to show her brother. "Doesn't she look nice, Rodrick?" Her mother asked, and then pulled her hair down from the messy ponytail Jade had thrown it up in.

"Too nice," Rodrick said but Amelia just moved her daughter in front of the mirror. Jade liked how she looked, she just wasn't convinced it was the right outfit for Quidditch. Her hair fell in loose curls around her face and her mother brushed her hair behind her shoulders.

"Trust me, you'll be happy once you see them." Her mother reassured her. "Put on some heels."

"Heels?" Jade asked, "They'll sink right into the ground." She told her and her mother reconsidered.

"Some flats then."

"Amelia!" Her father's voice drifted up from downstairs. "The Malfoy's are here, darling!" Jade's stomach turned and she glanced at her mother.

"Relax," Her brother told her, noticing her shift in demeanor. "You're going to have fun, not something lame like a charity event." Rodrick locked eyes with his mother then and she grinned.

"Yes, very funny, Rodrick." That was exactly the reason why her parents wouldn't be joining them, they would be with the Scamander family, trying to raise money for the endangered magical creatures of England. They all looked like they were going to pose for another family photo, Rodrick a bit more casual in a simple button-up and dark jeans. "Let's not leave them waiting." Ezekiel hooted from one of her bedposts. "Go on then, the Weasleys will be expecting you." Her mother told the owl. "Rodrick, charm her trunk so it can close." Rodrick stood up from his spot at the end of Jade's bed and waved his wand before shutting her trunk. "I'll make sure everything gets to the Weasley's." Her mother promised Jade with a smile. Jade quickly went over to Ezekiel and gave him a few strokes on his back.

"I'll see you soon." With that, Ezekiel took off out through her windows. She didn't know how the owls knew where they were going but Ezekiel was a smart bird, he'd figure it out. "Okay, come on." Jade waved her brother out of her room and her mother followed closely behind her. When Jade saw Lucius and Draco standing by the fireplace her stomach relaxed slightly. They were in fact, dressed to impress. Both wore a nicely fitting black suit, almost identical, but as Jade got closer she could see a pattern in Mr. Malfoy's suit jacket. Mr. Malfoy also had his signature cane with him that had a silver snake's head at the top.

"Hello, Lucius." Her mother smiled at him. "So sorry we couldn't make it, but Jade's very excited to join you. Thank you for inviting her."

"Oh, it was really our pleasure." Lucius smiled back charmingly at her mother. Her parents talked with Lucius and filled him in on her other plans for the summer.

"Molly said Arthur will just take her home with them." Her mother explained and Jade and Draco watched from the side, Jade knew Lucius Malfoy didn't like the Weasleys but he just smiled and nodded. Jade looked at Draco, who seemed to have grown taller since the last time she'd seen him.

"You look dashing." She told him and he chuckled.

"You don't look too bad yourself." Jade blushed as his eyes went from her eyes to her chest to her legs.

"You don't think it's a bit much?" She asked, ignoring his gaze, she didn't know if he was doing it on purpose or not but something playful hid behind his eyes as he surveyed her. Draco shook his head.

"Everyone of importance will be dressed like this." Jade doubted that, she felt like Draco just told her that so she wouldn't feel so silly. Her brother came up to her then and handed her a dark cloak.

"To cover up," Rodrick told her as he noticed Draco looking at his sister. "From the weather." He explained when Jade rolled her eyes at him.

"I don't think I'll need it," Jade argued and shoved it back into his hands. "It's hot in the summertime." She explained sweetly, as if talking to a child.

"Ready to go, Jade?" Lucius called over to them.

"Yes, sir." She smiled and pushed past her brother to join Mr. Malfoy at the fireplace.

"I'll see you there," Rodrick told her as Mr. Malfoy threw some floo powder into the fire. "It won't be for a few more hours, I'll travel by portkey."

"Ah, yes." Lucius grinned politely. "A rather thrilling way of travel, isn't it?" Rodrick nodded once and then Lucius stepped into the fireplace. "Quidditch Trillenium Stadium." He called and then he disappeared. Quidditch Trillenium Stadium? Jade had never heard of it. Jade waved goodbye to her family and Draco held out a hand to help her into the fire. The green fire was pleasantly warm as it licked around her legs and her bare arms.

"Quidditch Trillenium Stadium." Draco chanted and then they were whisked away in a cloud of green.
