Hello everyone. I hope that all of you are doing okay. I'm happy to be writing this story. I've been looking forward to writing another big story since I've been writing shorter ones lately. I hope that you'll like it.

Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or any of the characters.

"Okay, I think that I've got everything." Tsuyu said.

Tsuyu Asui had just finished picking up groceries for her and her classmates.

It was supposed to be a simple trip to the store and then she would head back to the dorms.

But fate had other plans and she would get sidetracked by a seemingly odd conversation about one of her friends.

As Tsuyu walked down the street and carried her bags of groceries, she overheard the various conversations that people were having.

Normally she just ignored them since she didn't want to eavesdrop or disrespect anyone's privacy.

This time became different as soon as she heard someone say a familiar name.

"I can't believe that guy is Midoriya." Someone said.

Tsuyu immediately turned her attention towards the people who were talking about Midoriya.

She couldn't see their faces but they were watching Midoriya's battle between him and Overhaul.

"I can't believe that they're still broadcasting that fight, but then again, it was incredible and Midoriya deserves the praise that he got for it." Tsuyu thought.

However, praise isn't what she would hear from the people who were currently watching him.

"I know, it's hard to believe that the defenseless, little guy we used to pick on is capable of that." Someone said.

Tsuyu was taken aback by that comment.

"Was Midoriya bullied?" Tsuyu wondered.

"Yeah, I didn't think that the loser would ever amount to anything." Someone said.

Tsuyu slightly clenched her fists in anger.

"He's quirkless for most of his life and then suddenly he develops one and now he's some celebrity, it makes me sick." Someone said.

"Quirkless?" Tsuyu thought.

Tsuyu watched as they walked away and continuously mocked Midoriya, referring to him as Deku but in an insulting way.

Tsuyu wanted to just yell and scream at them about how wrong they were about him but she remained calm and composed.

Tsuyu walked slower as she made her way back to the school.

Tsuyu was lost in thought as their words echoed in her mind.

The more that she had thought about it, the more she had realized that she didn't know much about Midoriya aside from his heroic nature and anxious personality.

"We've been through so much in such a short amount of time but do I really know him?" Tsuyu thought.

Midoriya had seemed like an open book, mostly due to his passion for heroes and his constant mumbling but no one really knew much about his life outside of school.

"Maybe I should get to know him better and I really should ask him about those guys." Tsuyu thought.

While Midoriya was timid, it still came as a surprise to her that he could've been bullied.

Later.

Tsuyu returned to the dorms and received thanks for going out to pick up the groceries.

As she looked around, she tried to find Midoriya to no avail.

"Hey, Ochaco, do you know where Midoriya is?" Tsuyu asked.

"Yeah, he's outside." Ochaco said.

"That guy never stops training." Kaminari said.

"I admire his dedication to his hero work!" Iida exclaimed.

Tsuyu nodded her head and went outside.

Midoriya was practicing his roundhouse kick for what seemed to be the thousandth time.

"He really is dedicated, I'll give him that." Tsuyu thought.

"Midoriya." Tsuyu said.

Midoriya flinched and fell backwards, surprised by her sudden arrival.

Midoriya sat up and looked at her while wiping the dirt from his pants.

"Sorry about that, I was a little too focused, Asui." Midoriya said.

Tsuyu sighed and stared directly at him to correct him again.

"I told you to call me Tsu." Tsuyu said.

"Sorry." Midoriya apologized.

They remained silent for a few seconds and Midoriya took that as an opportunity to stand up.

"Did you need my help with something?" Midoriya asked.

"Nope." Tsuyu said.

It went silent again, only this time it was an awkward silence as Tsuyu was just standing there, staring at Midoriya.

"Is she mad at me about something?" Midoriya thought.

Meanwhile, Tsuyu was trying to think of a way to bring up the subject of those guys who were mocking him.

"I want to be direct with him like I usually am but if I'm too blunt with my questioning then he might become defensive and I won't be able to figure anything out." Tsuyu thought.

Tsuyu then realized how long she had just been standing there and watching him.

"I did want to find out more about him after what I heard, so maybe now is a good time." Tsuyu thought.

"Midoriya." Tsuyu said.

Midoriya turned to look at her and as he did, Tsuyu placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." Tsuyu said.

"Sure, what is it, Tsu?" Midoriya asked.

As Tsuyu was about to speak, she was interrupted.

"Midoriya." Toshinori said.

The two of them turned to see Toshinori, their teacher and the hero formerly known as All Might.

"I have something that I need to discuss with you and… I'm sorry, I didn't see you there, Asui, sorry for the interruption." Toshinori said.

"No, it's alright." Tsuyu said.

"What was it that you were going to say?" Midoriya asked.

"Nothing, it's not important right now, I'll just ask you about it later." Tsuyu said.

Tsuyu walked away, leaving Midoriya and All Might to talk.

"I can probably ask him about it at another time, but how often are we actually alone?" Tsuyu thought.

Tsuyu returned to the dorms and as the day went on, her curiosity grew.

Midoriya intrigued her and she wanted to know his story.
