This is a foreword addressing possible questions you may have when reading this fanfic

Hey everyone!

This is just a sort of explanation of what I plan on doing with this FanFic, how I'm structuring it, and some other interesting things, so, be sure to read this foreword before reading the prologue.

If you've read Totsuki's Legacy, specifically the most recent chapters of the Second Tier, you know that I've flat out mentioned I'm in the works of making an Avatar fanfic, I've also mentioned it's quite an extensive project, so let me start:

First, the name of this fanfic is The Iron Bender, as I'm sure you've guessed by the chapter title, and it is not featuring Aang, Korra, or anyone from AtLA or TLoK- not yet anyway. There will probably be some mention of them throughout the fanfic(to keep the continuity), but they will most likely not directly appear. So, those of you who were expecting some of the characters you watched as a kid to show up here, please have an open mind, and if not, please don't write destructive criticism in the reviews, just move on. Those who are still willing to read this, I welcome you to this journey.

Secondly, this is not, let me say that again in all caps- THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE FANFIC. Please don't go into this thinking you will see purely ships and romances and whatnot. I've learned from the reviews of Totsuki's Legacy, and I'm saying it now so that you understand. This is a fanfic whose genre is best described as adventure with some darker themes. I'm planning on having a plot, characters with their own development, and mechanics that I feel should have been introduced in The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. There will be developments of relationships as the fanfic progresses, but this fanfic is not solely about romance.

Third, I've thought about it long and hard, and I've decided that there will be some curse words in this particular fanfic. You might think they're pointless, but I'm not planning on dropping F-Bombs unless the situation really demands it. Plus, I know some of the themes I'll be adding to this fanfic relate to today's society, and sometimes require those words to really enunciate them. In other words, I won't just have characters cuss redundantly without reason. That being said, be warned that the chapters that follow may contain words.

Fourth, there will be some gore here, as to really enunciate specific important moments, and to increase their impact. If you've seen animations, anime,, or even read manga with gore, you should know what to expect. That being said, those of you who don't like that stuff, just be prepared I suppose.

Finally, I will try incorporating science to explain some of the abilities used in this fanfic. It won't be just magic here, there, and everywhere. In terms of explaining the abilities, characters, and the overarching plot, I will have to do a lot of research on the Avatar series, and when I say that I mean, watching AtLA all over again in order to catch some key details, read the comics, the spin-offs, and more(heck I haven't even finished watching TLoK haha). In case you haven't noticed I want to try my best on this one, not that I'm not trying with Totsuki's Legacy, I am.

Thank you for reading the entire foreword, I appreciate it, and it shows how much you're willing to genuinely read the fanfic(if you skipped here, I'm not talking about you at all). Again, please have an open mind when reading, I really can't say that enough. On top of doing the research necessary to get all my facts straight, I am a senior in high school, studying for finals, and applying to colleges. So you can understand if I miss my deadlines.
