Eventual Harry/Tom, Time travel, elemental Harry. Placed in the early 50s
...
A yawn escaped him. It had been a long boring day working in his shop. The shop had different spacial rings of various sizes and metals.
Harrison owned the shop known as Caillte, Irish for Lost. That's exactly what the young man was. He was lost but not in the traditional sense. Due to a magical accident two years prior he had been thrown back in time more than 50 years.
The accident had been caused when he was trying to create a spell. Technomagic was a very unstable form of magic when it was in its early stages. This particular try had been the first time he used what he hoped would be final incantation. Only time would have told.
Unfortunately the instability of the magic had caused it to exploded. Harrison woke up in the familiar Infirmary of Nightingale. After his fourth year Harrison had noticed how unstable his magic became and with it was an orange red and black band across his left wrist. Due to his lack of control he spent his summers at Nightingale under the guidance of the Deputy Headmaster. This in turn ended with him as an apprentice under the man.
Every time he returned from Nightingale he came back stronger and better trained. So much he should have learned under Dumbledore was taught to him by Deputy Headmaster Keller. When he went on the Horcrux hunt, Durant the Headmaster and Keller gave him and many others asylum within the school. Many muggleborns and halfbloods took the offer.
After the war Harrison was given the option to stay on full time as a student. He couldn't bring himself to return to England after everyone he lost. Not long after he received his mastery in Technomagic with dual specialization in magic circles and spacial rings. On his twentieth birthday he was given the House of Lupus tattoo as its guardian had chosen him when he was first allowed in the school. It acted as a portkey and a key to the wards. Just shy of his 21st birthday was when the accident happened.
When he woke up in the Infirmary he didn't recognize the people who were by his side. He was introduced to Ducan the Headmaster and Anna the mediwitch. Both had questions about how he got there and his many scars. Duncan recognized his portkey tattoo and the magic behind it.
The first questions out of his mouth had been about his master who had been in the room with him. Only to find out that they found him by himself. They had no idea who he was. Then he found out the date and a sick feeling entered his stomach. The two exchanged concerned glances as he looked like he would be sick.
After explaining his situation to the man he was given the option of staying. It wasn't something he felt right taking for a long period. Instead he immediately got to work establishing himself. Nightingale made fake papers for him under the name Harrison Evans. Within a few weeks he had an agreement with the goblins. In exchange for a store at the edge of Diagon Alley, an apartment on top of his shop, and materials to make spacial rings they would get 20% of his profits.
So far he had a steady supply of customers looking for spacial rings. A few Masters came looking for transcriptions on weapons or various other items. Mostly he spent his time working on the spell that landed him here. Hoping against hope that he might find where he went wrong.
As he turned the page in the Egyptisn Runes books he felt the wards to his ship shift alerting him to people approaching his store. Harrison glanced up to see two blond men about the same age as himself entering. One had platinum blond hair and his nose to the sky, definitely a Malfoy. The other had a dark shade of blond and piercing blue eyes. If he had to guess they were either Greengrass or Yaxley.
Harrison stood his left hand going to his pocket where the Fool's Card lay. He hoped he would not need it but if it came down to it he would defend himself.
The two men entered Malfoy showing obvious disdain at being there. His nose wrinkles in disgust as he saw Harrison. It didn't bother the 23 year old. He knew what he was wearing wasn't considered proper Wizarding attire. He wore a short sleeved button uo dress shirt and black dress pants. Normally he would be in simply jeans rather than dress pants but he had a meeting with the goblins. Thus the dress pants. On his right hand were his personal spacial rings. One held the wolf crest of the House of Lupus and had 10 cubic meters of space. It was a gift from Keller when the man officially accepted him as an apprentice. The second without a crest was an experimental spacial ring that he hoped to get approved for 20 cubic meters by the end of the year.
There were many reasons why he dressed like he was. The least of which was comfort. It also showed off his 3 Mastery tattoos, Technomagic automatically came with first level masteries for Runes and Inscription, it also showed his House mark. Only a few outside of the alumni of Nightingale would recognize it though.
Putting false cheer behind his voice he greeted, "Gentleman welcome to Caillte. What brings you to my shop this afternoon?"
The two exchanged cold glances before Malfoy said, "We are looking to get a dozen spacial rings."
No shit. Why else would you come to a spacial ring shop?
Still he asked, "What size? Do you have any particular style you want? Or a design you want on it?"
The two men grumbled something but he didn't quite catch it. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Something wasn't right here. Harrison flipped the card in his pocket activating Fool's World. No magic would be able to be used now in his shop.
They exchanged a glance before the other said, "We want 10, 15 cubic meters spacial rings made of platinum."
Platinum huh. Those were his most expensive bands. The 15 cubic meters were the most expensive size as well. He didn't keep many on hand as most wizards didn't want to spend 500 galleons a ring. That didn't include any designs they could want with it.
Harrison pulled out an order booklet and began to fill it out. From the corner of his eye he saw Malfoy draw his wand. No doubt he was going to stun and or obliviate him. Too bad for the Malfoy Heir he had already activated Fool's World.
There was a whispered spell from Malfoy. Nothing happened. A tried to form on Harrison's face. Exactly as he thought the two didn't want to spend that kind of money on rings.
Harrison said leaning back on his heels, "Really? You tried to attack me?"
The other one pulled his wand out and pointed it in Harrison's face. The ebony haired man didn't so much as flinch at the threat.
Instead he commented dryly, "You might as well put that away. You won't be able to cast a spell here."
"You think we can't use magic? You're just a mudblood! Do you know who I am?!"
Harrison resisted the urge to rub his ears at the high pitched voice. He retorted, "By your appearance you're a pureblood heir. However I don't care who you think you are. You can't just attack someone in this shop. Luckily for you, your wand won't register the attempt. Otherwise I would call the aurors. I suggest you leave now."
The other said his blue eyes narrowing, "Or what? Who do you think the aurors would beleive? A mudblood nobody or two pureblood heirs? You didn't even go to Hogwarts either. You must be a squib."
Harrison said with a roll of his eyes, "Considering this is my shop and no I'm not a squib I simply went to a different school. I would think they would believe me. Now leave or you won't like the consequences."
The two heirs exchanged glances then left but not without another warning, "We will be back and when we are you will wish you had just given us what we wanted."
Harrison didn't answer. He simply watched them leave before using a powerful locking charm on the door. Only then did he release Fool's World.
