Nora Tate was transferred to Italy when Loren was a little girl, she was offered a job in translation, she left her home in California to start a new life with her daughter Loren, they bought a home in Florence, Italy. Loren attended school in Italy, she became fluent in Italian.
Loren loves music, after High School, she enrolled in the Umbra Institute of Music, she obtained her bachelor degree in Music, she will teach Music and everything related to it, during her last year at the institute, she met Cameron Morris, they fell in love, within a year, they were engaged.
Loren's best friend, Melissa Sanders joined her best friend in Italy, she lives with Loren and Nora.
Loren and Cameron's wedding is a week away, they will be moving back to California after the honeymoon, Cameron is the perfect fiancé, everyone can see their love story is perfect, Loren's favorite flower is the ROSE, Cam makes sure she receives a bouquet every week. Cam tells Loren that she is his forever Rose.
Two days before the big day, they held their wedding rehearsal is at the Boboli Gardens in Florence, their reception will also be held at this place.
"You are going to be the most beautiful bride." Cam says.
Loren blushes. "I love you Cam, I can't wait for us to be married."
"I love you too, we will be Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Morris in less than 48 hours."
"I'm very happy." Loren adds.
"Are you sure you're ready to move back to the States?"
"As long as we're together, I can transfer to the Music School in the San Francisco area." Loren adds, Cam leans in, they kiss.
Mel walks in. "Sorry to interrupt you two love birds, I'm off to Prato with Cherie, we will be back in a few hours."
Cam stops her. "No, I'll go, I need to pick up Loren's wedding gift."
"My gift? You don't have to get me anything." Loren tells Cam.
He holds her chin and pecks her nose. "Yes, I need to get it today." He looks at Mel. "I can swing by the warehouse and purchase the special wine for our wedding reception."
"Are you sure? I really don't mind." Mel adds.
"I'm sure, if you get Loren's gift, I know you will spoil the surprise Mel, it's fine, I'll ask Shaun to go with me." He winks at Mel.
Loren smiles. "Hurry back, we need to check with the caterer about the pasta dishes they will be serving."
"No worries love; I will be back before you know it." Cam pecks her cheek and leaves, he runs into Shaun, who agrees to join him.
Meanwhile
Eddie Duran is a professor in the Music field, he's getting ready to fly to Italy, he will share his expertise in the music industry with students that attend the Umbra Institute.
"This trip will help you, it's best to get away from all the drama." Max says.
"I'm fine Pops, Chloe broke the engagement because she wanted more."
"I won't say I told you so, but, I am glad I wasn't wrong when it came to her, she wanted a man with more money."
"It's fine Pops, she found someone else."
"Are you sure the Umbra Institute is waiting for you?"
"I called yesterday to confirm, they know I am coming, they found the perfect apartment, it's not too far from the institute." Eddie adds.
"That's great, you're going to love Italy, especially Florence, your Mom and I had our first date there, a year later, I proposed."
Eddie smiles. "I know the whole story Pops."
Katie walks in. "What story?"
"The one where Dad proposed to you in Florence, Italy."
"Awwww, a very romantic moment." Katie adds, she hugs Max.
Eddie smiles. "You guys are too much."
"Wait until you meet the right young lady, you'll understand what I mean."
"I doubt it mom, I had too much drama with Chloe, I don't think I'll be looking to fall in love any time soon."
"You never know son; Italy is the most romantic place in the world, the perfect place for a love story."
"I'm going there to work; I'll be teaching my love of music to others, not looking for any kind of romance."
"We'll see." Katie adds with a smirk.
Meanwhile.
Loren is waiting with the caterers. "What is taking Cam so long?" She wonders.
"I'm sure he got delayed, he said he was going to pick up your gift." Mel adds.
"He always calls, I tried calling him and it goes directly to voicemail." Loren says.
Mel sits next to her best friend. "I'm sure he doesn't want to talk to you because he knows you will try and find out what he got you."
Loren sighs. "I guess." She looks at Mel. "I'm dying to find out what he got me, I can't imagine what it is."
"Maybe it's your ring, he did say he wanted something beautiful to match your engagement ring."
Loren looks at her beautiful Naples cut engagement ring. "I love this ring; I know it must have cost him a fortune." She looks at Mel.
"I don't expect anything fancier than this ring for our wedding day."
Mel smiles. "He loves you girl, he will get you something beautiful to symbolize your life together in marriage, I am so excited for you."
Loren walks towards the window; the view is breathtaking. She can see a lot of the wineries that surround the area, and the beautiful flowers that hang perfectly on each pole.
She turns around and looks at Mel. "I can't wait to marry Cam; I've never been happier."
Nora walks into the room. "Most of the flowers are here Loren, when you're done with the caterers, they want to make sure you approve of the floral arrangements that arrived."
"We can go when Cam returns." Loren says.
Nora looks at her watch. "Thought he'd be here by now."
Mel jumps in before Loren can start to worry again. "He had to pick up Loren's wedding gift."
Nora's smile grows. "That's right, I am so excited for you sweetie, let's go to the Boboli Garden place, when Cam gets back, tell him to meet us there."
"That's a great idea mom." All three ladies get their bags and exit the room.
Meanwhile.
"Are you ready to leave son?" Katie asks.
"I've got everything I'm going to need in Italy."
Katie hugs him. "I'm going to miss you sweetheart."
"You and Pops can visit anytime, you own a beautiful place in Verona."
Katie hugs Max's arm. "You're right." She looks at Max. "Now we can fly to Italy more often."
Max smiles. "Of course dear." He looks at Eddie. "I guess we'll see you soon."
"Let's go, my flight leaves in four hours." Eddie adds.
Meanwhile…
It's been a few hours; Loren instructs the woman taking care of the floral arrangements where to place every bouquet.
Mel looks at Nora. "Now I'm worried, Cam has been gone for a long time, he should be back by now."
"Maybe the ring wasn't ready." Nora adds.
"They called him last week, they assured him it would be ready today."
"I don't know Mel; he should have been here by now." Nora says.
Loren's phone goes off. "Hello, yes, this is Loren."
On the other end of the call. "Signorina Tate, C'e stato un incidente." (Miss Tate, there's been an accident)
"Cosa e successo?" (What happened?)
"Devi andare in ospedale, il tuo fidanzato e al pronto soccorso." (You need to get to the Hospital, your fiancé is in the ER)
Loren ends the call and looks towards Nora and Mel. "We have to get to the Hospital, Cam was in an accident."
"Omg!" Mel exclaims. Nora grabs their bags, they run towards their car, upon arrival, Loren runs towards the nurse's station.
"Ho bisogno di veder il dottore che si prende cura del mio fidanzato." (I need to see the Dr. that's tending to my fiancé.)
The nurse runs into one of the ER rooms, she walks out with one of the Dr's that' been helping Cam, the nurse points towards Loren, he heads her way.
"Mi dispiace, il tuo fidanzato e morto mentre stavamo andando al tavolo operatorio." (I'm sorry, your fiancé passed away while we were headed to the operating room.)
Loren brings her hands to her face in horror. "No! What happened to him? This can't be true!" She collapses in Nora's arms; Mel helps Nora place Loren in the nearest chair.
"Omg, what do you mean he died?" Mel questions.

I've been having problems posting my old stories, this site keeps telling me to convert my stories into chapters, I did! Well, I had to delete my short stories file, I will post each story separate. I'll repost the mini stories individually.
