RWBY is the child of Rooster Teeth
This is it, my first official rewrite. Zero's Remnant is the first story I ever published on Fanfiction, and looking back on it, I realized how terrible it was. While it was certainly popular, and well received I am not satisfied with the subpar work I wrote. I put too much emphasis on things that, in the long run, don't matter and don't help progress the plot forward. On top of that, I completely skimmed over the actual important bits.
I will not delete it, but Zero's Remnant is officially abandoned, with this rewrite taking its place. The plot is still the same, I'm just making a lot of changes. I'm not getting rid of the original, as there are still useful comments that I can draw ideas from and have good advice that I can transition over to this story.
I have left that story on the back burner for over a year now. My excuse was to wait for RWBY to end so that I knew what I was working with, but my faith for the show and patience have ended. So now I return to where it started, to destroy the old world and replace it with a new one, a better one.
Here it is:
Zero's Remnant
Requiem!
Chapter 1:
The Miracle
"Yes. I… I destroyed the world… and create it… anew." These were the last thoughts of Lelouch vi Britannia, 99th Emperor to the Holy Britannian Empire, and enemy of the world itself as he closed his eyes and accepted his fate.
However, fate was a tricky thing, and it was not finished with him yet. So, a Geass, a wish, was cast. Someone asked for a miracle, and who was Lelouch to deny such.
Remnant: Vacuo
Opening his eyes, Lelouch thought he would see a black void of nothingness, or a representative of "God" waiting to cast judgment on him. Instead, he found himself staring at the beautiful night sky.
In a panic, Lelouch immediately sat up and was surprised by his appearance. Instead of usual Emperor robes, the Demon Emperor found himself in his old Zero attire sans the cape and mask.
Checking himself over, Lelouch found his old pistol where he usually kept it. And other than a dull ache in his chest, he felt fine.
Taking a moment to look at his surroundings, Lelouch concluded that he was in an alleyway. While it was the middle of the night, Lelouch could clearly see his environment. One side was a dead-end, likely blocked by another building. On the other end though, he could distinctly see part of a building and a street. The architecture of the structure itself had Lelouch conclude that he was in a desert country, perhaps India or Egypt.
Now knowing what he was working with, the Demon was able to try and piece together his situation. However, there was one more thing he needed to check. Looking over his gun, he saw that its surface was reflective enough to where he could see his face, perfect. Concentrating for a second, the former Emperor attempted to use his Geass, only to have his eyes remain unchanged, failing to turn into the familiar sigils he had grown used to seeing. He has lost his Geass.
"Disappointing, but useful nonetheless" Lelouch thought as he holstered his weapon. He already had several hypotheses for how he lost his most useful tool, but without more data and doing possibly dangerous experiments, he won't have an immediate answer. For now, he should focus on his current situation.
Figuring out how he was still alive was a moot point. There were too many possibilities and not enough information to narrow it down, so he dropped it for the time being. The same can be said for how he got here in the first place.
Right now, his current objective is to figure out where he was and the current date. Both were vital information he needed before he could make his next move.
However, he also couldn't be reckless. For all he knows it has only been a day since the Zero Requiem, and allowing himself to be seen would only put his master plan in jeopardy. No one will believe in a messiah who had to perform the same miracle twice after all.
Carefully, Lelouch moved to exit, taking extreme caution not to be spotted. Seeing the coast was clear, he moved onto the street, sticking close to the side if he needed a quick escape into the alleys. However, everything came to a halt when he looked towards the night sky.
The moon was fractured, broken even. Parts floating from the larger whole, but unable to rejoin. Already Lelouch had over a dozen theories about how this came to be, but none of that mattered as only one conclusion came to him.
"I'm in another world, aren't I?" Lelouch's mind was hollow, broken. Then he laughed, a demented laugh, one that would no doubt grab attention, but Lelouch didn't care as all he could do was laugh at his situation.
"Is this how you felt when I used my Geass on you… Suzaku?" He asked himself mentally, as he continued his broken laugh. The point of the Zero Requiem was to punish himself and his best friend for their combined sins. All the blood they shed, all the pain they caused, now it was worthless.
Oh, Lelouch is aware he could simply kill himself. Find a high building or a sharp object to stab himself with, but he wouldn't. His pride would never allow it. He was willing to risk his life, even sacrificed it because it helped in achieving his goals. To Lelouch vi Britannia, committing suicide now would only disgrace all the suffering and sacrifice he went through to complete his goals. Such a death would be no different than a coward who wished to escape the harsh reality of the world. And Lelouch was no coward
Besides, he could never betray C.C. in such a way. Lelouch had convinced his most trusted accomplice to live when she sought to die. To seek death himself in such a way would be to betray the trust she had in him when she chose to live.
So no, Lelouch will not let himself die, not unless it was necessary for whatever plans he may have in the future. But for now, he must learn about the world he has landed in.
Finally calming down, the Demon Emperor continued as he intended, walking down the street. As Lelouch aimlessly walked through the city, sunrise had approached. Apparently his arrival had occurred in the early morning, good. That means he could gather information more swiftly.
As he passed by what looked like a market district, he saw that one of the vendors had an alignment of fruit, and his back was turned.
So, without hesitation, he snatched a fruit and casually walked off, taking a bite out of it immediately. People tend not to question things when one looks confident or casual in their actions.
"Breadfruit, interesting." He thought as he took another bite out of the sweet fruit.
After information, obtaining funds was Lelouch's top priority. Otherwise, he'll have to risk constantly stealing from others. While he had learned a few things about survival during the aftermath of the Japanese Britannia War, the fewer risks the Demon Emperor had to take, the better off he would be in the long run.
It took another hour before Lelouch found a library. It seems this place uses English, as it was called "Vacuo Library." Excellent, at least now he doesn't have to learn a new language from scratch, though he could very much do so if needed. His time as Zero and Emperor made learning new languages a necessity for his plans.
Entering the library, Lelouch was met with a rush of cool air. These people seem to have technology similar to his old world. That would make adapting to this world that much easier.
Lelouch was surprised by the lack of security in this place. Knowledge was a powerful tool, and while he wasn't expecting an entire regiment to be guarding the place, he at least expected some metal detectors or a security guard.
Locating the computer, Lelouch walked over to the closest one. The Demon Emperor then raised an eyebrow in surprise when a holographic keyboard popped up.
However, instead of being impressed, Lelouch simply shook his head in disappointment. Such a waste of resources. Now if this was a laptop, Lelouch could see the appeal, but a computer monitor. He hasn't even found anything yet and already his expectations have lowered.
Logging on to the computer, Lelouch had no trouble learning how to operate it and was already doing research into all relevant information about the world he had been brought to.
His opinion towards this world, Remnant, was overall, profoundly negative. Disappointing, infuriating, disgusting, and offending, these were but a few descriptions that came to Lelouch's mind. He learned that this world was mostly inhabited by creatures dubbed Grimm, and mankind was primarily secluded into four kingdoms; Vale, Mistral, Atlas, and the one he was currently in, Vacuo.
"Like prey, simply waiting for predators to hunt them." The Demon thought snidely.
Then there were the Huntsmen, a group of trained warriors who fight for the people and protect them from the Creatures of Grimm; what a sick joke.
On paper, Lelouch could see merit in such an organization. A group of highly trained individuals who could defeat scores of Grimm single-handedly, where the Grimm have a diverse set of subspecies that could leave to mass casualties if handled by ordinary soldiers. Even their weapons made sense after he gave it more thought.
At first, he such a concept confused him. Why make such overly complex and easily disruptable weapons, even Lloyd wasn't that eccentric (actually on second thought, the former Emperor could definitely see the Earl making such a thing). However, when considering that most Huntsmen were meant to spend days, weeks, possibly even months out in the wilderness away from civilization, it would make sense to minimize how much ammunition one would need and use to make more room for necessities such as food, water, and medical supplies.
Then there's Aura, an energy fueled by a person's "soul," that allows them to perform superhuman feats. If it wasn't for Geass, Codes Bearers and "God" existing, Lelouch would've immediately dismissed such a notion as "souls." Now though, he was curious.
Aura research was quite limited and even contradictory at times. Some say it's constantly active, while others say it needs to be activated in order to work. He'll dwell on that later, what really grabbed his interest were Semblances. They were considered reflections of a person's true nature and manifests as an ability one uses to assist them in battle. Semblances differed with every person (with notable exceptions) resembled Geass in a way where even similar Semblances had different limitations criteria to use. The only thing all Semblances had in common was that one's Aura needed to be unlocked to be used.
With everything he's read, Lelouch could certainly see what made the idea of Huntsmen so appealing and could even admit that it could work in theory.
The execution of such an idea, however, was nothing short of disastrous. Huntsmen were given complete autonomy with no chain of command, no oversight, and no screening process for potential candidates. Such a blatant misstep that has yet to see correction (except for Atlas) infuriates Lelouch to no end.
A prime example is the legendary Team STRQ of Beacon Academy. They were considered the best Huntsmen of their generation, possibly even the best Huntsmen period. Yet he read multiple reports of one of its members, one Raven Branwen, leading a bandit tribe in Mistral after Team STRQ had officially disbanded. And yet, no attempts were made to apprehend or eliminate such a dangerous individual.
"The last king of Vale was a fool." He mumbled.
The last king of Vale was remembered by the people for his wisdom and humility. How he tried to prevent the international war, dubbed The Great War, and how even after the rulers of each kingdom was willing to bow to him, he refused and instead brokered for peace by instigating a global demilitarization, and founded the Huntsmen Academies to replace it. To Lelouch, such a king was nothing more than a naive fool. His legacy was proof, as it was filled with glorified mercenaries; their first commitment was to themselves and their ideals, be they good or evil.
And the Kingdoms themselves were no better. Vacuo was a lawless dessert land that embodied Britannian propaganda without the fascism. Atlas was just another Britannia, just without the Social Darwinism and practices a form of Democracy. Mistral was a breeding ground for criminals and whose leaders were either sniveling cowards or corrupt bureaucrats. And Vale mostly turns a blind eye to it all, willingly or otherwise, while being the stomping grounds for the largest terrorist organization in the world and several organized crimes itself while claiming the world was at peace.
"They call it peace, but I see for what it truly is; stagnation, being content with the current status quo." Lelouch thought with a snarl. Remnant's peace was insulting. Not to just his pride or ego, but to his person as well. He sacrificed his life and legacy so that his world could have peace. To hear this world claim it was "peaceful" infuriated him to no end. Even his two greatest foes', Schneizel and Charles, idea of peace was better this world's. At least their goals can be viewed as a form of peace.
He then took a deep breath. Lelouch was not about to lose his temper now, not when he needed more information. Luckily, he was almost done, as he only needed three more pieces; the White Fang, the CCT Network, and the Schnee Dust Company. He started with the SDC, as that seemed the most relevant.
What he found disgusted him. While the Schnee Dust Company was founded on good intentions by Nicholas Schnee, those intentions were twisted and crushed by his successor, Jacques. The man obtained the company through political marriage, and currently holds a monopoly on Dust, a mineral used as Remnant's primary source of fuel and ammunition. That was not the problem, the problem was the were rumors that surrounded the SDC and its CEO. If even half of those rumors were true, then Jacques Schnee was nothing more than a power hungry parasite who only cared for his wealth and power.
Next was the CCT, he read a little about how it allowed for international communication and created Remnant's version of the internet, so Lelouch decided to do further research on the topic.
Several minutes later, he had a twitching eyebrow and possibly got a migraine.
How? How?! How is it possible this "modern" society could be so collectively stupid! Were they actively sabotaging themselves?! Whose idea was it to make four towers that were interdependent on each other to operate, as their source if international communication?! Even Tamaki would realize how stupid such a system would be.
Lelouch understood why they used towers instead of satellites. A little research shows that Dust loses potency and eventually goes inert if it leaves the planet's atmosphere, and he doubts the current CEO of the Schnee Dust Company would allow any substantial research into alternative energy sources since it would disrupt his hold as Remnant's only reliable source of energy. Even if he didn't like it, the logic was sound.
What wasn't reasonable, is having all four towers need to be active for the CCT Network to actually function! From what he read; their excuse for this obvious design flaw was "symbolism." Lelouch understood having symbols, physical representation of ideals and beliefs. His alter ego Zero was a prime example, as even after he retired the mask, the ideal of Zero lived on and the mantle was passed to another. This, however, was not symbolism. This was pure idiocy on a level that anyone with even a modicum of intelligence would be insulted by himself included.
Part of him wanted to blow up one of the CCT Towers right now, just to prove a point, but decided against it as he had nothing to gain from it… yet.
Lelouch sighed. Both the SDC and especially the CCT were infuriating to the former Ruler of the World. Hopefully, the White Fang will be less anger inducing.
"This is Hell, it has to be." Lelouch mumbled, rubbing his temples in defeat. Lelouch firmly believed that this was C's World's punishment for him. To live in a world that insulted him for every major choice in life, and was an offense to his very nature.
Information about the White Fang was indeed less infuriating than the SDC and CCT, but only from a relative standpoint. What he found was still infuriating, just to a lesser extent.
The White Fang was a group of Faunus, humans with animal traits that sought equality, as Faunus were treated like second-class citizens in most kingdoms. The group was relatively young and had gone through a few changes in their approach. Originally, they simply protested, using peaceful method to attain results. Then there had been a change in leadership; and that is when the White Fang turned violent, enacting acts of terrorism all across Remnant. As a former terrorist who fought for similar reason, he couldn't help but be disappointed by the Faunus group.
"Amateurs." Lelouch said, his voice dripping with contempt.
The old White Fang, under Ghira Belladonna's leadership, was far too soft and narrowminded. If he truly wanted Faunus to be treated as equals, he needed to show that what the White Fang believed in was more than fancy words. Actions speak louder than words after all, and Ghira's actions only gave merit to Faunus being subservient to humans.
The new White Fang under Sienna Khan wasn't any better. She was either too liberal with her subordinates or she shared their extreme ideologies, because all Lelouch sees is mindless violence with no justifiable cause. It was no better than what Kusakabe did at the Kawaguchi Lake. Like Ghira, Sienna's actions only made Human's justification for calling Faunus "animals."
Sure, the White Fang were producing "results" now, but it would only be a matter of time before those results turn on them. Violence only breeds fear, fear breeds anger, and anger breeds hatred, and when enough people hate something, those people will unite to rid the source of their hatred. So, unless the White Fang's plan resembles his Zero Requiem (which he doubts) the only winner in this conflict will be the ones who do not partake, aka, the Grimm.
This world was truly Hell in every way to Lelouch vi Britannia. It embodied everything he hated and spat on everything he fought and sacrificed to achieve. For him, living in this was a fate worse than death.
But he will not surrender! If the world is wrong then he shall simply make it right! If the world was flawed, then he shall correct it!
He was more than Lelouch vi Britannia, or Lelouch Lamperouge; he was Zero, the Man of Miracles, and he shall do whatever it takes to make this world into his ideal of peace!
"Well then…" Lelouch said with a cruel smirk.
Zero has come to Remnant.
Chapter End… Not!
Vale
It was the middle of the night in the city of Vale, the streets empty, not a soul in sight. Except for one. A woman was atop a building staring into the night sky.
She was wearing a crimson top with a gray jacket and black leggings. She had fair skin, blue eyes, and spiked crimson red hair that reached her neck. Her most notable trait was the pair of crimson rabbit ears adorned on her head.
Karen Crimson, previously known as Kallen Kōzuki, had recently moved to Vale from Atlas with her mother, aunt, and cousin.
Her cousin's parents had divorced due to ideological differences, and her aunt Meg decided to move to the city of Vale so she could spend more time with her daughter, Velvet Scarlatina, who was enrolling at the prestigious Beacon Academy this year. Despite their separation, the two parents were still on friendly terms with each other, to the point her uncle Will offered to pay for our housing and Velvet's tuition.
Karen herself had no plans to enroll, but her Aunt Meg still offered her and her mother to join them regardless. Needless to say, they were happy to accept.
As for Karen, she had already finished the Atlas equivalent of high school, and was looking into getting at least a part time job, though it was proving to be difficult. In her past life, she excelled in combat, and that seemed to transition to her current life too.
Compared to her cousin, Karen was easily the better fighter between the two. She was so skilled, that she was offered scholarships for both Atlas Academy and even Beacon itself. However, she refused them, multiple times.
Like everyone else her age, Karen grew up with tales about how Huntsmen and Huntresses were the defenders of mankind and how they were the greatest warriors to ever exist. However, she just… didn't buy it.
Maybe it was her experience with the Black Knights, but what exactly make the Huntsmen so great? What have they done to earn all the praise they have been given?
Karen, no Kallen, has seen miracles performed firsthand. Feats and accomplishments that have been laughed off as impossible but despite that, they happened. He made them happen.
Zero. To Kallen, the Huntsmen, no the world needed someone like Zero to exist. An ideal, a belief, a representation of what it means to fight for justice. You can read thousands of tales featuring the exploits of Huntsmen and Huntresses, but compared to a symbol, a singular idea people can strive to embody, Kallen knows what would grab her attention more.
Karen continued to stare at the moon. She enjoyed it, she felt it reflected how she was since Lelouch died; broken, all the pieces there, just unwilling to come together. To this day she regrets abandoning him, especially since it was clear now that the man she loved had essentially lost everything the day the Black Knights betrayed him. She was his Q1, her loyalty to her king should've been absolute. Now she must live with her shame, betraying the one who selflessly gave his life for an ungrateful world.
However, for some reason, it feels different tonight, like a piece had just decided to reattach itself. For some reason, it gave her hope.
"Lelouch." Kallen whispered. She didn't know why she said his name, it just felt right. She just continued to stare into the night sky, as a crimson energy surrounded her eyes.
Atlas
It was the middle of the night at Atlas Military Academy, but one soldier was still up.
The man wore a typical Atlas Military uniform that did little to hide his well-built physique. He had ear length, light brown hair, and an intense set of green eyes that were hard like steel.
This was Richard Ironwood, nephew to General James Ironwood, and formerly known as Suzaku Kururugi.
Richard Ironwood was one of the most promising cadets in Atlas Military history, so promising that many wonder why he didn't apply for Atlas' Huntsmen Academy.
Anyone who knew Richard, knew he would excel. Even without his Aura, his physical abilities were beyond human according to Dr. Polendina. And with it, he was easily Huntsmen level. He even had his aura unlocked before he was born, something that is considered a rare occurrence, doubly so considering how relatively normal his reserves were. Regardless of his pedigree, most people agreed upon that Richard would be a valuable soldier to Atlas, regardless of the path he chooses.
But Richard, no Suzaku, had other ambitions. He has seen Atlas for what it was beneath all that propaganda and flair, an imitation of Britannia. While it was nowhere near as corrupt and cruel as the Empire, the similarities were still there.
Mantle itself was proof of Atlas' corruption. It once was the capital of their Kingdom, now it was a place filled with poverty and suffering. It reminded Richard too much of how Britannia treated non-Britannians, specifically Japan.
However, Suzaku believed that he could change things from within. But unlike Britannia, he knew he had a shot this time around.
However, Suzaku knew it wasn't going to be easy. He wasn't Lelouch, he couldn't scheme or lead people like his old friend could. He lacked the charisma necessary to rally people to his cause and unify them under a single banner. That's part of the reason Richard refused to use his Uncle's name to rise through the ranks. He needed to let his actions do the talking. To show that he was fighting not for Atlas, but for a future.
Richard knew that he could accomplish something similar if he became a Huntsman, but being a Huntsman isn't enough. To chance Atlas for the better he needed power, influence, and the only way to obtain that is through the military.
Taking his eyes off the night sky for a moment, Suzaku stared at the only thing he used his Uncle's name to get, an ornate longsword.
Normally, Atlas Military didn't allow custom weapons for normal soldiers, but Richard was the exception. This earned him a lot of ire among his fellow cadets, but he didn't care, he'll show them that he was more than the Nephew of General Ironwood eventually.
Requiem. That was the name of the sword. It wasn't like modern weapons that could shoot bullets, or transform, it looked just as he remembered it before he used it to fulfill his promise.
Holding back the tears in his eyes, Suzaku tore his gaze away from the sword. Even now he regretted having to kill his Best Friend, that he convinced him to continue with the damned Zero Requiem.
At first, Suzaku thought he hated Lelouch for all he's done, but he later realized that that couldn't be any further from the truth. While he was angry and the source of that anger was for Lelouch killing Euphy, it was not the only reason for his anger.
He was truly angry because they couldn't be honest with one another. He and Lelouch were best friends for over seven years for God's sake, why was it so difficult for them to be honest with each other!? However, deep down he knows why. Both of them just wish to bear their burdens onto themselves. Maybe, just maybe, if Lelouch was more open, or if Suzaku was less distant, perhaps things could've been different.
Richard turned his gaze towards the moon. He found it symbolic, a reflection of himself. He broke after he killed his father. And while Euphy was able to staunch the pain and fix it a little, he only broke more when she died. The final nail in his coffin was when he killed Lelouch. When Suzaku was punished, it was a blessing in disguise. By then, he was so broken, that he no longer knew who Suzaku Kururugi was anymore, so instead, he committed himself to the role of Zero till his dying breath.
Now though, he has a second chance. A chance to rebuild himself, to build a sense of identity and ideals he will live by no matter what.
However, that was for a later time, for now he should focus on what he knows best, being a soldier. As he gazed upon the moon, he felt a little more whole for some reason. Why, he didn't know.
"Lelouch." He mumbled. He had no idea what compelled him to say his name, it just felt right.
As he continued to stare at the moon, a red tint appeared under his irises.
Mistral
Mistral, the most crime ridden kingdom on Remnant. Its leaders were either too cowardly or corrupt to even attempt to rid itself of its criminal element. And with the highest rate of rogue Huntsmen and bandits, Mistral was truly a breeding ground for criminals.
A prime example was the ruins of a settlement. While Grimm attacks have caused settlements to fall, this one was caused by bandits.
In the ruins of what used to be the mayor's house, a girl sat, staring into the night sky.
Ethereal would be an apt description for her. She wears a white straitjacket that doubled as a one-piece suit. She had waist length lime green hair and golden eyes filled with mischief and boredom.
This was C.C. Lelouch's most trusted accomplice.
When she arrived into this world, she thought it would be interesting. Turns out it was the exact opposite.
The people were like how she used to be before she met her Demon, stagnant, content, never truly living, merely gaining experience, and their pizza was a reflection of that.
Personally, she blamed Ozma, or was it Ozpin now. A weak man of weak character. Learned he couldn't defeat his ex-wife, now he hides away like a scared child praying for a miracle. If Lelouch was in his place, he would've rejected such a notion without thought. It would be just like him to claim he knew more than an all-knowing relic.
Salem was no better though. While she could sympathize with her desire to die, C.C. saw her as nothing more than a spoiled brat who threw a tantrum when she wouldn't get her way. How could someone with immortality end up being such a petulant child?
She watched as those two played their game trying to outmaneuver the other and C.C. was honestly disappointed. They try to come off as wise and all-knowing tacticians and strategists, when in reality, if they faced a true challenge like Lelouch or Schneizel, they were nothing more than amateurs.
It was clear to the immortal witch that it was only due to their incompetence that their game has lasted so long. Honestly, she was getting bored of this endless stalemate, and secretly was hoping something (or rather someone) would come to flip the board right on its head.
Staring at the broken moon, her face went from apathetic, to pleased. It seems her wish is about to be granted. Too him long enough.
"You really should know better than to keep a lady waiting, Lelouch." She said with a genuine smile.
Chapter End
For Real This Time
Here it is, Chapter 1 of my first rewrite, what do you think? Criticism is most welcome here. Anyway, onto the story itself.
I decided to do away with only Lelouch being on Remnant, as that would make the story less fun! I decided to use the main four of Code Geass, since four seems to be the magic number of Remnant. Personally, I like seven, but to each their own.
Also no, none of them are aware the others are there, even Kallen and Suzaku (except maybe C.C.). They have different names, and have not been in any position to meet. Though, the hardest one to write for would definitely have to be Suzaku. In case you couldn't tell, I'm trying to "fix" him a little.
Anyway, things I am keeping from Zero's Remnant:
Lelouch does not have Geass or a Code! That is final! Bitch all you want; I'm not changing it.
Lelouch will begin in Vacuo. It just feels right.
Lelouch will not become a Huntsman.
In fact, none of the Code Geass Characters are going to become Huntsmen period. I have already made my reasons for each of them.
Now, I will do the final comment acknowledgements for Zero's Remnant, just to give you guys some closure.
The True Skull: Thank you for the tip, I'll look into it.
Ultron emperor: No, to OP.
Zathol: Yeah Lelouch is going to have to adapt a little if he's going to get anywhere in his crusade. Also, hopefully you're happy to see that Kallen is indeed a part of the rewrite. As for the knight thing, good point, Lelouch's enemy is the world itself this time around, I doubt using knights would have the same effect it had on Britannia.
MosesArk Reborn2000: First off, GOD DAMN IT! I did not think of using either Euphy or Shirley for that! Fuck, I am such an idiot! Secondly, this is Lelouch we're talking about, why would he play by rules that go against his very nature? Third, I can see your reasoning for the name. However, I'm not sure about using it. It has potential, I'll put it as a maybe. As for the Relic, who knows?
Skywolf99: I already said it in the AN, he does not have a Code, it would make his inevitable victory less satisfying.
XenoLucifer: It was my first story. Besides, I also explained it at the end, read the AN before you accuse me of anything.
Hope you enjoy Zero's Remnant Requiem. I have a more concrete and less confusing plan involving this, though I may use old ideas I had for the original.
If you have anything to complain about, write it as criticism. Tell me why you do not enjoy something, and how I can improve.
