It was the usual normal day in the human world. Phoenix Wright, the well-known defense attorney, was in his office checking some files. It's been about 7 or 8 years since he have been to...
Equestria.
That memory was in his head until now. He was summoned to Equestria because of a trial for murder, and it all turned out to be that the victim killed himself by accident. The plot twist was amazing, that he thought.
"I'm sure Nick is gonna have some sense to talk about what happened that time!"
Maya's voice was heard from the other room. The said girl was talking to her younger cousin, Pearl Fey, and Phoenix's long-time friend-rival, Miles Edgeworth. Even though the door of the office was opened just a crack, Phoenix could still hear Maya's voice as she continued ranting.
The whole talk was about when Phoenix disappeared from his world for 3 days. Those were the days Phoenix is gone to Equestria for the trial. Until now, Maya couldn't get it out of her head even though it's been a long time. Phoenix's thoughts broke when he heard the tune of the Steel Samurai theme from his cellphone. Not sure if it's a new case or not, he picked up the phone and answered the call.
"Wright Company Office, Phoenix Wright speaking."
"Phoenix!"
"Huh? T-Twilight!? Is that you? How did you get my number?"
"I didn't. Well... I used a spell to call you on your... Phone-thingy."
"I see... So anyway, why did you call? Another crime that led to one of your friends to be wrongly accused?"
"No, not today. Everything's going okay here in Equestria. I just wanna know if you're free today. If you have some friends over, maybe we can all hang out."
"Today? Well... Hold on a sec."
He looked through the small, opened space between the door of his office and the wall, seeing that his three friends are still chatting. Then he got spotted by Edgeworth.
"Is something the matter, Wright?", he asked as he looked at his friend-rival, which caught Maya and Pearl's attention to look as well.
"Oh, just wanna know if any of you are free this month starting today.", Phoenix explained, "A friend of mine called and asked if we can come to her place to hang out. She's also asking if today would be alright.".
"Well, Pearly and I don't have any plans this month and today...", Maya replied as she did a thinking pose with Pearl nodding in agreement.
"Hm, same as I. There are no cases to be solved so far. I guess a little vacation won't hurt a bit.", Edgeworth also agreed, much to Phoenix's shock and amazement. The Edgeworth he knows is always cold and rarely agrees to anything at all. Vacations? Phoenix was expecting a "no" from his friend-rival. But saying "yes" is a very unexpected plot twist and a great improvement.
'That's Edgeworth for you.'
"O-Okay... If you say so.", Phoenix replied before putting his cellphone next to his ear to speak to Twilight again, "Alright, they agree about going today. I'm ready for that thing. But I'm not sure about the other three. See ya later.". With that, he hung up.
"Mr. Nick, how dare you ignore your girlfriend, Mystic Maya, for another girlfriend!", Pearl suddenly scolded Phoenix with a cute angry face, "You should be sorry, you're Mystic Maya's special somebody!".
"Uh... Pearl, there's a big difference between a girlfriend and a friend who's a girl.", Phoenix explained as he sweatdropped a bit after hearing what Pearl said. The young girl is just so determined to have Phoenix and Maya to be an official couple.
"Pearly, Nick and I are just best friends!", Maya objected, "Anyway, we gotta get back home to pack up. Who knows? It might become a long journey.".
"Not as long as you think...", Phoenix said with a goofy grin and a sweatdrop, earning confused looks from the other three, "Give it a minute...". It all happened so fast. The four humans suddenly couldn't move from their spots, got very dizzy then passed out, having theirselves slowly fading away too...
