Sessions

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs felt lost having walked into the outer office of Doctor Grace Confalone. Two months after his suspension when Director Leon Vance finally asked Gibbs to come back to work. Otherwise, he needed to speak with Doctor Confalone in order to come back.

During this time he met up with Marcie Warren Washington Post reporter. He had gotten close to her during the two cases she had asked him to work on the sly each time without involving his team. Though currently Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee in charge.

While he was away from the job. He was able to bond further with Lucy and Marcie. Finishing up his boat that was a gift for Tobias Fornell naming her Emily in the hope to help with his grief. He will be working on getting the boat out using the tunnel built many years ago during the depression.

Walking into the outer office of Doctor Grace Confalone. Her secretary was working at the computer terminal copying notes from previous sessions. She looked up to see Special Agent Gibbs looking refreshed after being away from the high stress of his job for NCIS.

"Agent Gibbs I will let her know you are here. She is finishing up with another patient." she picked up the phone to call her while the patient a Naval officer stood up to shake her hand having to be their last session for a while.

"How can I help you, Angela?" she said calmly.

"Ma'am Special Agent Gibbs is here.?" she replied with seeing the patient Chaplain Jon Lombardo walking out to head for the hallway of the building.

"Tell Gibbs to come on inside." she cried out with grabbing two bottles of water for herself and Gibbs knowing that he drinks water.

He walked in wearing his blue navy suit looking really sharp with his usual white shirt underneath. "Here you go Gibbs water to drink for our session. So tell me how are you feeling?" she will say with him taking a sip of the water.

"I really don't know how I feel Doc? It's been a strange two months since being on the suspension. It's been a mixed bag mostly. One starting with Lucy having to be my companion. She had been a wonderful pet for which I hadn't had for a long time. One thing for sure I am no longer angry at Leon suspending me due to my own actions." he exclaimed with crossing his one leg with a slight ouch! Due to the fact, his right knee was swelling slightly.

"Do you need an ice pack, Gibbs, for the knee?" she had to ask having to be concerned.

"I really don't need it right now Doc," he commented. While he was being stubborn.

"So who is watching Lucy at your house?" she needed to ask again with the question of liking animals especially dogs.

"Marcie Warren is watching her before she has to turn in her story on the local Cartel for the Washington Post." he smiled slightly with the doctor catching the change in him.

"Are you two very friendly with each other?"

"Yes. You can say that Doctor Confalone. She and Lucy had helped me to be able to cope with the past two months of losing too much the past year. She had been staying with me for the better of two weeks now instead of staying at her own house. Lucy had gotten used to having her as a company."

"Before we continue on how have you been coping with the shooting of McGee, the deaths of Breena, Emily, and losing Jack Sloane before getting suspended by Vance?" she responded...while seeing his eye contact for the most part.

"I am still coping doctor the best I can. Fornell had been calling me every other day to stay in contact ever since he had gone back to work at the local F.B.I. to keep himself busy. I am very glad that he didn't decide to head for Costa Rica and just give up completely."

"And if he did leave for Costa Rica?" she said.

"What is that supposed to mean Doc?" he was acting as if he was being dumb all of a sudden.

"Phil and Fornell are your best two pals. Phil had left to leave in Florida to start a new life down there. And if Tobias leaves it's going to leave with no one to accept your NCIS family and now Marcie and Lucy."

"Look whatever Tobias decides to do is up to him. Even though he tried forcing the issue on me with wanting my support for which he had as always," he responded with a deep breath into his lungs.

"Tell me Popeye why are you always scared to open up your heart to anyone?" she had known this for years. She was hoping for an answer finally from him out into the open.

"You know why Doctor Confalone?" he said with anguish with his harsh demeanor.

"Okay. Then why did you open your heart to the Washington Post reporter Marcie Warren?"

"Good question Doc! Maybe it was time for me to settle down and retire with a woman that is like myself totally."

"But yet you retired 14 years ago for when Jenny Sheppard was the director of NCIS and you had Mike Franks was living in Mexico."

"I don't Doc. But I feel good now after getting past the anger I was feeling back then and now." he signs.

"And what about Director Leon Vance do you still have the anger against him due to the suspension?" she watched his reaction while writing down certain onto the yellow pad.

"No. I used my little ploy in order to get back to work. When Trent Kort was alive before the entire team including myself and Tony had finally caught up to him. He had given me a file in regard to his past histories with NCIS as an agent and etc. I was able to use this file that had a number of things in it that I was able to blackmail the director." Gibbs said to have the doctor shaking her head.

"You do realize Jethro that it could someday backfire on yourself and be caught in something you're not able to get out of it?" she had overstepped her boundaries on this one.

"I know. But for now, it had worked in order to get me back to work for the duration.

Taking a look at the time on the wall. "We have five minutes. Is there anything else that needs to be said until this next Friday since I still need to talk with you before signing the papers?"

This made Gibbs not a happy camper since he had to come here again on Friday for the second session. "Fine Doc I will be here." he responded with Doctor Confalone writing it down on one of her business cards for the next session."
