Authors Note: Hey hey! If you're new here, welcome! If you're a returning reader, you might be wondering why this is different. This prologue (and chapter 1 to some extent) is pretty outdated in terms of my standards for posting a chapter onto here, as such if you want you can skip the prologue. That's all for now hope you enjoy ok byeeeee
Prologue:
Chaos. That's the best word used to describe the state of the world. Homes were destroyed, corpses laid strewn about, and trees were lit ablaze. Above all of the turmoil, hovered a massive beast, watching it all unfold. A smirk was plastered upon its features, clearly proud of its work.
Suddenly, red and black energy manifested within its chest until it climaxed into a blood red beam of energy that ripped through the continent's crust as if it were cotton. Effortlessly tearing through stone and flesh alike. The screams of the continent's residents gave the creature glee. As its beam finally ended, it gave those who were still alive, or barely clinging onto it, a chance to flee. The figure then landed on the ground and turned its attention to the two significantly smaller creatures that had the guts to look back at it.
"Do you see that, little ones?" It's voice bellowed, shaking the other two to their core. "I wouldn't be able to do that without your support. So, I humbly thank you on behalf of all of the Pokémon on this continent." The pair stared back, still silent. "Because of this, I will make sure your deaths will be as long and gut wretchedly long as possible." A small chuckle escaped the creature's mouth.
"You're a monster!" One of the other two figures spoke up. The creature laughed again.
"A monster? Me? I'm simply claiming back what's mine, and getting revenge for a certain other someone's misfortune." The end of his sentence changed his tone from sadistic to one of more venom etched in every syllable.
"She was too far gone!" They retorted. "She had to go!"
"You don't understand anything!" The creature, now screaming, made the ground quake. The two, in turn, almost lost their balance. "And now she's gone! I'm going to make sure every last one of you gets what you deserve! Starting with you!" Without warning, the creature set its sights for the other figure, who has yet to say anything. It lunged at them with a quickness neither of them could comprehend. In a matter of seconds, all that was left in place of the figure was nothing but a limp torso. Blood splattered on their partner's face before it fell to the ground with a small thud. The other figure was pinned to the ground by a massive talon soon after. "Once again, I thank you small one. Say hello to your friends for me." The creature then took it's massive beak, reached down to the figure's head, and crushed their skull with the strength of a mountain.
