When the Hokage was deciding the team selection, My OC Daiki Timaru interjected changing the fate of several important characters. Including that of Team 7, pointing out more than a few flaws within the arrangement. Let's see how this story could play out with a different team selection for the teams.

The 3rd Hokage, who should have remained retired after the Kyuubi attack, but was forced to retake the mantle after Minato sacrifice sealing the Kyuubi into Naruto speaks, "Is there anyone who objects to any of the team selections?" He asks as more of a formality than anything else.

Daiki steps forward, "I do." He says, he is known not to take any shit, not from the council or other ninjas, he is also best friends with Anko and Kurenai, or as the two of them would say, he is the only man who loved them without putting his hands on them or trying to see them naked.

The Third looks at him, every ninja in the room here respects him and regards his opinion on things very seriously, he is an jounin, however an unremarkable one in terms of fame compared to others such as Kakashi, Gai, and even Asuma. "Very well Daiki-San, what is your objection?"

Daiki looks at them, "I hope not to offend anyone, but I object to almost every team match up in some way. First off with Team Seven, no offense to Kakashi, he is a great ninja and I highly respect him, but he is someone who should never be a sensei. The only real point to Kakashi being assigned a sensei now would be to help the last Uchiha once he unlocks his sharingan, a role that he can fill as a regular jounin while working as a private tutor for the Uchiha, secondly Sakura should not be placed on Team Seven at all, her obsession with the Uchiha, her lack of training and her fangirl ways will either get herself or someone else killed on a real mission or lead to the teams downfall, that is if the team could past the final test at all. Sakura is also only the number one kunoichi because the academy focused so much on academics and so little on the physical aspect for females, standards which were not like that 15 years ago. It should be Hinata that is on Team Seven instead of Sakura, no offense Kurenai, but you would coddle her too much due to your sister-like feelings toward her. I would volunteer myself as Team Seven's sensei in Kakashi's place."

Kurenai speaks up, "But wouldn't Hinata also put the team at risk due to her crush on Uzumaki?" She asks, feeling both confused and offended, especially because she had really wanted Hinata on her team.

Daiki shakes his head, "No, there is a difference between having a crush on someone and being a fangirl, if you want to suggest that Hinata would bring the team down in any way, you should have pointed out her shy nature and unwillingness to hurt anyone, but then again, if you did that, you might as well say that she shouldn't be a ninja at all shouldn't you Kurenai?"

Kurenai becomes flushed and her eyes narrow with anger, "How dare you?! You know how she grew up."

Daiki looks at her, "I dare Kurenai, because you are not suited to help Hinata reach her full potential or move past her personal issues. Maybe you also have a personal issue against her being teamed up with Naruto and I am not talking about the demon fox that is sealed within him."

Kurenai looks at him, "You are right. I do, I don't want Hinata anywhere near that pervert for more than necessary. I heard about his sexy justu."

Daiki shakes his head, "Regardless of popular belief, Naruto is not a pervert, no more so than any other healthy teenage boy starting puberty, he has just never had the chance to learn right from wrong and as such, while his sexy justu is offensive to women and I am not saying that it isn't, no one has bothered explaining to him why, they all just seek to yell and hit him over the head for it. Don't forget who you are talking to, I would also prevent any unwanted things from occurring between my students and discourage any behavior that may endanger the team while on a mission."

The 3rd sighs and interrupts this argument, "While this debate is fascinating to hear, really it is a nice break from the paperwork that I have to do daily, can we speed this up Daiki-San and you can just tell me how you'd organize the teams? I'd have to hurry back before the paperwork piles up on me more."

Daiki smiles, "Yes, Lord Third, I would recommend Team Seven be under me with Sasuke, Naruto, and Hinata as my students, Kurenai should have Sakura, Ino, and Kiba as her students on Team Eight, this is due to Sakura being a genjustu type and Ino needing the fangirl being knocked out of her as well as Sakura. Not to mention that it would break up the infamous Ino-Shika-Choji trio from the last generation, which other villages know and are guaranteed to have learnt to counter. Finally, it should be Shino, Choji, and Shikamaru as Team Ten under Asuma, and Asuma, I know that they are all clan kids, but for goodness's sake, try to train your team."

Kurenai can't help, but giggle, Team Ten former idea would have allowed Asuma to be lazy, because this team was designed to work together as their parents did twenty years ago.

The 3rd considers everything that Daiki has said, "Taking everything under consideration, I agree with Daiki-San suggestions about everything, including Kakashi being a private tutor for Sasuke when he unlocks his Sharingan. Everyone is dismissed."

The jounin walk out, Asuma is a little annoyed, feeling like his old man had favored Daiki yet again, despite Daiki's valid points. Kakashi is relieved, because due to the council, this year, he couldn't fail his team no matter what due to the council would push him to train the last Uchiha and he knows it is as Daiki said while he may be a great shinobi, he is not fit to be a full-time sensei. Kurenai is concerned as they leave, still worried about Hinata, she stops Daiki, "You'll take care of her right Daiki? You won't be too rough on her and break her down further, will you?"

Daiki looks at Kurenai and plants a brotherly kiss on her forehead and smiles lightly, "I promise Kurenai-Nee, Hinata will be in good hands with me."

Kurenai smiles lightly, "That's all I needed to hear. Thank you, Daiki."

With that, they depart, and the sun sets on this day, with no idea how much destiny has changed by the choice that was made on this day, tomorrow, the future for all the students mention, will begin.
