Give It Up For You
Hello once again! I've returned to this story! I've gone back to the posted chapters and changed the tense to present (It may not be perfect. It was way more challenging than I thought and very very tiring. I've been writing in the present tense, and for me to continue this story I needed to change it) At least I tried. LOL I'm going to keep everything else the same. Including my notes, any reviews, comments- and such.
Good news! I did FINISH this work before I started reposting. I didn't want to start updating these chapters and leave it halfway or anything again. So yes, this story is complete. It is 25 chapters long. For those who remember the story and don't want to reread but want to know the ending you can start reading at chapter 20! I will be updating one by one- but hopefully quickly.
Thank you so much to those who were still reviewing this story. I got remotivated! And there were only 5 chapters left I already had planned out! Thank you, thank you thank you!
Hello! I've had this idea since the beginning of time. Even before Take You In (My first posted story) I was looking through some of my old ideas and saw this one. I already wrote the plot for it, and thought why not write it? Here is Give It Up For You
All One Piece Characters Belong to Oda
Pairing: Sanji/Zoro Smoker/Ace Usopp/Kaya Franky/Robin
Sometimes in a relationship, it is hard to know who is the hero. Life can be funny like that. When he saves him from certain death, he becomes more than a hero. No matter how twisted the hero's life is, love can always find a way... or can it?
It is cold. It is mid November and the snow has already started to pile outside creating a soft blanket. Zoro groans as he hits his alarm clock. Pulling the sheets so he could see what time he had placed his alarm clock the night before. With another groan, he remembers he set it for 4:30 am.
Stretching, Zoro gets out of bed to get ready for the day to come. Dressing in sweats, the first thing he does is his morning routine, a simple jog around the block. Taking some pain killers, Zoro leaves for his 12 mile jog. The cold hits him like a bag of bricks. Zoro instantly regrets not layering up a tad more. But not feeling bothered enough to head back inside and change, Zoro sets out. The snow crunches steadily under his heavy steps as Zoro picks up the pace.
Zoro slows down as he reaches the coffee shop that is closed. The red flashing light is enough to tell anyone to stay away. However, the owner of the shop knew the green hair teen and always leaves the door unlocked for him to enter and get something to eat. Zoro swears he wouldn;t have breakfast if it weren't for the owners hospitality,
"Morning Zoro-kun."
Zoro pushes open the door, hearing as the bell hits against the door chime.
"Hello, Makino." The green hair teen takes off his scarf and places it on the counter before he takes his seat. "Where's Luffy?" he askes, wiping his face from the sweat that poured down his temple with the collar of his shirt as his eyes look around the place for the raven haired energetic ball.
"He's upstairs. Sleeping." Makino's lips turn into a straight line as she regards Zoro with a disapproving sound, "Don't tell me you're here to eat again?"
Zoro just shrugs. "I don't have time to cook."
"I already told you, if you come during lunch, I would have something for you. Something healthy." Makino folds her thin arms over her chest.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. But I have things to do and it's hard to come here when I have things to do."
Makino sighs. "I didn't get to bake any bread since you came so early, but I have some leftover donuts. It's better than nothing." Placing the items in a bag, Makino passes them to Zoro. "Don't forget to wash off, or you'll catch a cold."
Taking the offered bag, Zoro places some money on the counter as he gets up to leave. "You worry too much." Stopping by the door, Zoro adds. "Tell Luffy I'll see him later."
"Of course. And Zoro…?" Zoro looks back. "Try to stop by today, to get something to eat."
Zoro just smiles at her as he leaves the shop. The door closed behind him with the door chime.
Zoro reaches his house. Hearing his phone, Zoro slips the small deceive out from his pocket to see who had texted him. It's from Nami. The text reminding him of the meeting they have today. With a scowl Zoro shoves his phone back in his pocket. He didn't mind Nami reminding him, but he knew she did it because she believed he was too stupid to remember, which only serves to annoy him.
Taking a quick shower Zoro throws on a hoodie and jeans and leaves his apartment. Taking his helmet, Zoro gets on his motorbike and drives off. The snow kicking up as he leaves his home.

"Is Chopper ready to go?"
Kureha, an old lady, and Chopper's grandmother greets Zoro by the door. "You can't leave him, not even one day with me, can you?"
Zoro chuckles. "I would, if Chopper wanted to stay."
"That boy really likes you. I don't know how he can like a green haired gruff like you." She grumbles with a roll of her eyes, while laughing at her joke. Zoro makes a face at that, but doesn't say anything. He knows she didn't mean it. After Chopper's parents died, five years ago, she had been the one taking care of him. And all she wants is to see Chopper happy.
Chopper appears behind the old lady, trying to place his shoes and jacket on at the same time. Failing horribly as he almost trips over his own feet. "Sorry Zoro-senpai, I overslept." Zoro smiles at the boy as Kureha turns to help him.
"Slow down, Chopper. He won't leave without you." She reprimanded.
"You don't know that." Chopper is quick to counter in his little voice. Finally, with his shoes and jacket on, Chopper runs to the taller teen's side. His smile could not be any bigger.
"I want him home early. He has classes tomorrow." Looking at her grandson, Kureja can't help but smile. "Don't stay out too long."
"I won't!" With a nod, Kureha looks at Zoro. "If anything happens to him I'll have your head and feed it to my dog. Got it?" She glares at the green haired male.
"How many times do you have to tell me that? Nothing's ever happened. I'll have him back before you know it." Taking Chopper's hand, Zoro leads the small boy out as Chopper waves at his grandmother.

"You're late again. Even though I sent you a text so early." Nami glares and flares at the two who just stepped into the building. "And don't you dare say you got lost. Chopper is with you, and he points you to the right direction." Nami cuts off Zoro who opens his mouth to respond.
Zoro rolls his eyes instead as he passes the ginger hair girl, and flops down next to Ace. Chopper, skipping right behind Zoro, sits on his lap, both apparently ignoring Nami.
"He's here Nami, so don't worry." Ace smiles, trying to get Nami to calm down. The girl huffs in defeat before glaring at Smoker, who is standing, bidding him to take a seat as well. Rolling his eyes, the bigger man sits down next to Ace, knowing if he tries to argue with Nami now she will win. Nami may be thin and small, but she can take on him, Ace and Zoro. Who are all twice her size.
"I got a call today for another match. Back to back matches." Nami slowly states the second half as she looks at the boys sitting in front of her.
Both Zoro and Smoker furrowed their eyebrows. Back to back matches? They've heard for ot if before, but they've never done one.
"What do you mean, Nami?" Ace asks, his attention going to Chopper as he ruffles the kids curly brown hair. Chopper can't help but beam up at Ace, but he doesn't leave Zoro's side.
"Doflamingo was looking at your past fights. And he likes what he sees. So he asked if you two could fight two separate matches in the same week."
"In the same week? So what will happen if one of them loses?" Ace questions with concern in his voice.
"They won't. If they know what's good for them." Nami looks at the two boxers, who have yet to say anything on the matter. "So what do you think, Smoker and Zoro?"
"I think we will have to train twice as much." Smoker glances at Ace. "That shouldn't be a problem, right coach?" He says while winking.
Ace smiles, a blush forming over his freckled cheeks. "Of course not."
Zoro groan, placing his pinky in his ear and tilting his head slightly to the side, Chopper doing the same. "Do you have to be like this every time?" Zoro glances at Nami. "Do I have to train with Ace?"
The ginger haired girl has a face as she looks at the two males flirting with each other. "If you want to stay part of this group. Plus, when he is coaching, he'll take it seriously." She eyes Ace and Smoker.
"Of course." Ace laughs, not taking his eyes off his boyfriend Smoker.

"I like going with you Zoro –senpai. Kureha doesn't take me out to eat. Unlike you." Chopper comments while looking down at his food.
"Cause I can't cook you anything." Zoro swallows what he is eating before scowling at Chopper. "And why are you laughing?" He questions with a quirked eyebrow.
"I just…remembered." Chopper tries to explain between laughter. "That time…you tried to…to cook me something…I didn't even know what it was! It was as green as y-your hair!" Chopper continues to laugh, "I don't think anything s-should be that color."
Zoro playfully rolls his eyes. "You finish?" he asks, cleaning the crumbs on Chopper's chubby cheeks. The small boy nods, his cheeks still puffed out filled with food. Taking the tray from Chopper, Zoro stands to throw away the trash. "Let's go." He calls the small child, waiting by the exit.
"Why do I have to put this on and you don't have to?"
Zoro, who was already seated on his bike waiting for Chopper to put on the helmet so they could go, answers the small kid. "I only have one, and Kureha will have my head if she sees you without it. Now stop your complaining so we can go." Zoro glances over at Chopper. Even if Kureha wouldn't have his head, Zoro would never ride his bike with Chopper if he didn't have a helmet.
"Zoro-senpai is so mean." Not arguing any more, Chopper places the helmet on his head and clips it quickly when Zoro glares at him. Chopper wraps his arms around Zoro's waist. "But I want to be as cool as you. I don't need it." Chopper mumbles, his cheek pressed against Zoro's strong back.
That statement has Zoro chuckle. "Chopper, be who you are. You are cool. Cooler than me." Zoro places his bigger hand on Chopper's small hand which is around his waist.
"Zoro…senpai?" Chopper mumbles when he notices Zoro has an odd look on his face.
Slowly shaking his head Zoro lets go of Chopper's hand and places his own on the motorbike's handle. He revs the engine when it comes to life. "Hold on tight." Zoro takes off, a smile coming to Zoro's lips as he hears the small boy behind him start to laugh. He doesn't normally speed when he's with Chopper, but he would do it once a while to get the small boy to laugh and have fun.
Zooming through traffic after leaving Chopper home, Zoro slows down when he starts passing over the bridge to reach his home. On the bridge there is a passing blonde pedestrian. He always sees the blonde walking, but he never stopped to talk to the man or give him a ride. Zoro never thought of himself as a good person. And he's not planning to start now. The blonde must either live or work around here. With little thought on the blonde, Zoro speeds up once he passes the bridge.
Finally reaching his apartment, Zoro jams his keys into the lock before pushing the door open. He yawns, having woken so early and not having his many naps throughout the day. Nami calls him a fat cat, but Zoro doesn't care. All he wants is to go to sleep until the next day. Stepping on something, Zoro falls face first onto the floor.
SPLAT!
While rubbing his nose, Zoro looked at the floor to see what made him trip. Shit that hurt, I didn't know my face could have made that noise. Zoro swears his face must be made of wet cheese or something- to have made that sound. Zoro stands up as he picks up the hamburger wrapper he tripped over. Scratching his head, Zoro scans his house.
When was the last time I cleaned this place?
Zoro makes a face at the mountain of thrown wrappers and soda cans that are staring right back at him. Throwing the wrapper on the floor, Zoro kicks a trail of endless wrapping paper and junk food that decorates his floor so he could get to his bedroom. "I'll clean it after my nap…" Finally reaching his room, Zoro throws the Ramen cup and 1 liter of soda he ate and drank the night before to the floor before laying down. He's never felt so tired. Sleep comes to him quickly.

Stretching his muscles Sanji yawns as he gets out of bed. Not rushing, knowing his job is within walking distance, Sanji starts getting ready. He slips on his black suit and makes sure his hair is combed to perfection. He doesn't know what cute girl he'll bump into. The blonde walks to the kitchen; he hates to cook in his house. He could only cook a small breakfast since he was the only one to feed. Feeding people... that is all Sanji wants to do. To most that must sound crazy, but it's how Sanji is. He's a cook after all. He's job is to feed those who are hungry. And while he does include himself, Sanji has never liked cooking only for himself.
Taking his keys and a heavy jacket because it is cold outside and he walks to work, the blonde makes his leave. While crossing the bridge to get to his job, Sanji's eyes lands on a biker who passes him. The blonde always sees him while walking to his job. He has never talked to the man, but Sanji recognizes him, considering he saw the man every morning. Well as much as he can recognize him when the biker zooms past him.
The building is large, easily filling 70 customers. The smell of fresh bread has Sanji smiling, wanting nothing more than to start cooking.
"Hey Brooks."
"Hello Sanji-san." Brooks greets as he gets his instruments ready so he can play on stage. The owner was opposed to live music, but when more and more customers started to visit the Baratie, it was accepted. "Usopp is at back, waiting for you." Brooks comments.
"Thanks. I'll be in the back with him. Don't forget to change the sign to open at nine." Seeing the tall man nod, Sanji goes to the back where the food is prepared.
Usopp is cleaning when Sanji enters the back. Looking from the counter he is cleaning, the long nose teen greets Sanji. "Morning. The tables and floors are clean." Usopp is quick to note.
Sanji smiles. "Usopp, how many times do I have to tell you? You are our waiter, not a janitor. You have the job, you don't have to keep trying so hard." Shaking his head, Sanji walks to the stove. "Don't worry about it. Zeff and Patty should be here soon." Placing the pan on the stove, Sanji smiles.
This is what he loves. Cooking for people. Especially those in need.
A/N: I don't know when I will update. (Hopefully soon) But I hope you like
Don't forget to review
Added note: Please remember I'm not changing any of my original comments as I want the story to stay as close to the same as it was before. But because my writing has changed to present tense, I had to change the story to present. Thank you once again!
