The Phantom Files
Chapter 1

Author's Note: Well Hello, fellow DP fans. This is actually my first story in this fandom, so hoping it goes well. Enjoy.
Amity Park, a once mostly sleepy town that gave off a an unusual eerie feel to all that visited and it was something that residents got used to. The cause of this due to the fact that Amity Park was the site where the most numerous amounts of Ghost activity occurred. Fortunately for this small town, it had a protector, Danny Phantom, who was either hailed as a hero or vilified, depending on who you ask. What few knew however, was that Danny Phantom was actually the ghost alter-ego of local teenager, Danny Fenton, son of the world's premier ghost hunters, the Fentons.
Night had set in for the town, and all was quiet. Fortunately for both Fenton and Phantom that no ghosts would haunt the town this night. As all started to turn in for the night, at the Fenton household however, Maddie Fenton was not so tired, after her husband, Jack went to bed and she thought the kids were in bed to, she snuck down to the lab with the intention to work on her own experimental inventions that most of the time she did not get to work on as she spent a lot of her time fixing Jack's inventions. As she walked down into the lab, she saw Danny working on the computer, a look of confusion crawled over her face 'what is he working on this late?' She saw Danny get up from the computer and start toward her, "Hey Danny, what are you still doing up?
"Working on a few files. I am just getting a snack and then going to finish them. How about you?"
"Going to work on some of my own inventions." Danny nodded and walked by her into the kitchen.
Maddie descended into the lab and walked over to where her wall of inventions was kept, passing by the computer which Danny had left unlocked. 'Files, what files, Ghost files?' the thought struck her, what did Danny know about Ghosts that She, one of the worlds most premier ghost experts did not. She knew she should not be snooping, but the info was just there waiting for her, and Danny had not come back yet, 'must be in the bathroom.' She figured she could get a quick peak at what he has. She walked over and sat down at the computer.
She saw a list of folder names:
Introductions and Team Phantom
Enemies
The Neutrals
Allies
Omega Class Threats
"Team Phantom? And what are Omega Class threats?" Maddie asked aloud.
Maddie did not get past that point when she heard a voice behind her, "Curiosity got the better of you?" Turning around to she Danny standing there arms crossed. "So, what did you see?"
"Not much, just the names of the folders." Maddie said to him, "Have you been doing research on Ghosts on your own, and been keeping this knowledge to yourself?"
"In a manner of speaking, look just let me finish the files and then you can read them all." Danny said. Maddie walked away from the computer to allow Danny to work, she tried to keep busy but the thought of ghost knowledge that she did not know, and was being kept from her drove her crazy. As she tried to work on her inventions, she kept looking over her shoulder at Danny, to she if he was done.
It was an hour later when Danny had finished it. Transferring a copy of it to a flash drive, and handed the drive to Maddie. "Here, this is everything I have made on Ghosts and the Ghost Zone," he hesitated for a second and then deciding to say it, "including everything on Phantom." Maddie looked at her son with a curious look. "Start with the introductory file I made for you guys, it will be you guide on where to start and what order to go in. We can discuss the contents of the files after you and Dad read them all." He said and started to head upstairs. Turning around to her, "One last thing, until I say otherwise, this information stays within the family and with Sam and Tucker." He turned and left, knowing what he just did and the consequences of them.
Maddie was a bit flummoxed as she really wanted to read these files right away but Danny said to read it with Jack, and it was late. Deciding that it would be better to read them in the morning, she put the drive in a safe spot and did a little work on her own inventions, before turning in for the night.
Author's Note: Well there you have it folks, the first chapter in a multichapter story. As stated before I hope this went well for you guys as this is my first story in this fandom and I hope it is good. As for how I plan to do my updates, when ever I get around to it, as I have multiple stories in other fandoms in the works and there needs to the time and the right motivation in me to write, though I do plan on making some changes and may try to start writing every day so hopefully that means more chapters quicker.
