It had been four years since the birth of Ace Akaba and the nine members of his immediate family were having a small picnic in the Pendulum Dimension.
"Here." Dawn handed a napkin to her brother.
Ace took it with a smile. "Thanks big sis."
"Do you know what's tomorrow?" Ray asked him with a smile.
"Tomorrow, um..." Ace started before closing his eyes thoughtfully only to frown. "I don't remember."
"Your fifth birthday." Dawn smiled to him.
Ace's eyes widened in shock. "That's tomorrow?"
"Yup. It makes me feel like it's yesterday." Ray admitted to him.
Ace smiled hearing that.
"Oh I can't believe how much you grown in just 4 years." Ray smiled before starting to tear up.
Ace's eyes widened and he quickly hugged her. "It's ok mommy, I'm not big see."
He curled up to look smaller after saying that.
Ray giggled seeing that before shaking her head, "It's okay Acey. I'm happy that your growing but your growing up too fast. And soon before long you, and Dawn will be all grown up living your own lives."
Ace looked down sadly and started tearing up. "I don't want to... I want to stay with you forever mommy."
"And no-one's stopping you. You can still be a kid as long as you want." Dawn said patting his head with a smile, "Nobody's stopping you from doing that."
Ace smiled before blushing. "Um... can I ask for something for my birthday mommy?"
"Sure." Ray smiled after wiping her eyes, "What is it?"
Ace turned red. "Casper."
"Casper?" Zarc blinked.
"Sandy said he's a nice ghost so I won't be scared." Ace answered before looking down shyly. "I want to see it with her and Mason."
"Oh! Casper the Friendly Ghost." Dawn realized hearing that.
Ace shuddered slightly hearing the word ghost but nodded. "I... I want to surprise them by winning the big tournament and I want to get brave so we can play together. They're my best not family friends."
"Well your already brave enough for wanting to talk with a specter." Purple Poison grinned to him.
"He's real?" Ace asked shuddering. "I thought he was pretend like my cartoons."
"Hey, he's only messing with you." Double Iris told him, "Though you are being brave on it."
Ace smiled at that before pausing. "Huh?"
"Hm? What's the matter?" Blue Frost asked hearing that.
"Are the babies in you and big sis White Wing ok?" Ace asked. "The doctor said we had to take care of you."
Over the years the Magicians had learned to love, and soon were out either married, still as lovers, or are currently dating. White Wing, and Blue Frost are currently expecting with their husband's kids.
"Yeah their okay." White Wing smiled to him, "Their healthy from kicking a lot."
Ace smiled hearing that before kissing her stomach. "I can't wait to see you."
White Wing smiled softly rubbing his head close to her stomach. Dawn smiled before pausing and closing her eyes.
"Dawn?" Zarc asked her.
"I just... I had a kind of bad thought." Dawn admitted before looking down.
"What is it?" Blue Frost asked pulling her closer.
Dawn looked down. "I... well with how special Ace is... I was just wishing I had five more brothers."
Blue Frost patted her back, "Yeah they would be amazing boys. You know I think that an alternate universe is enjoying their company."
Dawn nodded but still had a few tears. Seeing that Ace walked, and hugged her.
"Thank you Acey." Dawn smiled hugging him back.
Ray, and Zarc smiled seeing this before Blue Frost yelped. Hearing that Dawn and Ace both ran to her side.
"Big sis, are you ok?" Ace asked nervously.
"I'm-I'm okay." Blue Frost assured breathing, "Baby surprised me."
Dawn nodded hearing that while Ace frowned. "Um... how much longer will the baby get to kick you?"
"At least for a few more months." Blue Frost answered rubbing his head with a smile.
Ace frowned more before poking her stomach. "Stop it, kicking is mean."
White Wing couldn't help but giggle as Blue Frost also did from Ace poking before telling him, "Ace it's natural. And besides it's not that bad."
"Oh..." Ace said before smiling. "Ok."
"Me, and Cathy are soon to get to that route." Black Fang admitted to them.
"Oh... interesting." Purple Poison mentioned with a smirk. "Though I do have a question on that topic."
"What's that?" Black Fang asked him.
Dawn, and Ace blinked turning to each other before they walked off. Purple Poison waited until they were far enough away before smirking and turning to Black Fang. "So... no I can't. Even I can't go that far."
Black Fang blinked hearing that. Purple Poison looked at him before sighing. "Do you really want me to say it?"
"What does Julie tell you about it?" Black Fang asked him.
Purple Poison sighed. "Look, you know how there are different... let's call them techniques for that process?"
"Yeah." Black Fang nodded.
"And how one happens to share it's name with an animal?" Purple Poison continued while frowning.
"Me, and Cathy haven't done that." Black Fang told him, "I didn't even say we done that yet, I've only said we were soon starting to take that route."
"I know that... look I was just going to ask if in your case that animal wouldn't be a dog but a cat." Purple Poison explained before sighing. "There happy now you made me say it."
Black Fang sighed at that.
"You can come back now." Ray called.
The two siblings walked back before Ace blushed, "Uh... Big Bro Black Fang?"
"Yeah Ace?" he asked with a smile.
"Will Miss Cathy lay an egg?"
"Lay an... huh?" Black Fang asked in shock. "What do you mean?"
Purple Poison started to snicker in his teeth finding this hilarious.
"Well... You were a dragon before right?" Ace asked him as Black Fang realized Ace is actually asking that because he was originally a dragon.
"Oh..." Black Fang mentioned before smiling. "Well... boy dragons don't lay eggs anyway and I'm human now."
"And big sis White Wing, and big sis Blue Frost aren't either." Ace said hearing that.
"Honestly I wonder if that was possible." Double Iris admitted, "But White Wing, and Blue Frost proved that their are no eggs involved."
At that moment Double Iris' Duel Disk started beeping.
"Huh?" Double Iris answered, "Hello?"
"Hi, it's me." came a female voice. "Are you all busy?"
"Oh hey Julia. How you doing?" Ray smiled.
"Huh, you guys can all hear me?" Julia asked. "Is Ace there?"
"Yes Miss Krystal." Ace answered.
"Aw, I told you to call me aunt Julia remember?" Julia asked with a smile. "Well... I was calling to ask if Double, Ray, and Dawn could stop by my dad's jewelry shop right away."
"Okay we'll be there in a minute." Ray smiled to her.
"Thanks, I appreciate it." Julia smiled.
She hanged up as Dawn stand up stretching, "Whoo boy..."
"I guess our picnic is over then?" Zarc asked.
Ace sees Dawn's bellybutton as she stretched as she smiled stopping opening her eyes, "So where is Mr. Krystal's shop?"
"I can show you." Double Iris smiled.
Dawn nodded before patting Ace's head, "Maybe we can find Sandy something Acey."
Acey's eyes widened and he blushed. "But... I don't know what she would like."
"I'll send you pictures, and you pick what to give her." Dawn smiled kissing his forehead after bending on a knee.
"Ok." Ace smiled hearing that. "Oh... should it be a red one like her pretty eyes? Or um... what's the color that looks pretty with red again?"
"Blue, white, or yellow." Dawn answered standing up.
Ace nodded at that. "Ok."
"And tonight would you like to sleep with your big sis?" Dawn smiled to him.
"Yeah, that..." Ace started before pausing and looking down. "Oh... um, I'm sorry."
"Sorry? For what?" Dawn asked confused.
"I do... but, with big sis White Wing tonight." Ace explained looking down. "I'm sorry, I don't want to make you sad."
"Well how bout the three of us have a sleepover together?" White Wing suggested with a smile.
Ace's eyes lit up at that. "That sounds super fun!"
"Okay. Be good while me, Mom, and big bro Double Iris head to Mr. Krystal's shop okay?" Dawn asked him with a smile.
Ace nodded. "Ok."
With that the three walked off just as White Wing smiled, "Acey come here."
Ace walked over. "Yeah big sis?"
White Wing softly took his head, and gently placed it on her stomach, "Can you hear her heartbeat?"
Ace closed his eyes and listened before smiling. "Yeah, I hear something."
White Wing smiled just as Ace felt his head was kicked. Ace pulled back only to sigh and kiss her stomach. "I want to see you too."
Meanwhile at the Krystal jewelry shop...
Ray, Double Iris, and Dawn entered the shop.
"Thanks for coming you guys." Julia mentioned with a smile. "I need a little last minute help."
"What is it Julia?" Ray asked her.
"I have three ideas for the birthday boy's present but I thought I would ask you guys which he'd like the best before tomorrow... I would have asked earlier but we were busy the past few days." Julia explained.
"Speaking of Ace, I told him we would find something for Sandy." Dawn admitted.
"Well I can help you with that." Julia smiled. "Actually... I might have an idea."
"What would that be?" Double Iris smiled to her.
Julia smiled back before taking out a pair of sapphire earrings.
"Whoa." Dawn said in awe before taking a picture, and send it to Ace.
"While we wait for a reply could you guys take a look at some things for me?" Julia asked them.
"What do you want us to do?" Ray asked.
"Well, I know Ace is a strong young man and doesn't like wearing jewelry but I had a few things I was thinking of giving him for his birthday tomorrow and wanted to know which you think he'd like the best." Julia explained. "I want it to be special after all."
"Okay sure." Dawn smiled.
Julia nodded before taking out a bracelet with a dragon design, a half heart necklace, and a silver ring with a ruby in it.
"Whoa." Double Iris said in awe seeing it.
"I'm thinking of giving one of them to Ace but I'm not sure which he'd like the best." Julia admitted. "What do you guys think?"
"I would honestly say... The ring. Cause Sandy's eyes are that color." Ray answered with a smile.
"Do you two think he'd like it?" Julia asked Dawn and Double Iris.
They both nodded with a smile as Dawn checked for a reply.
"They're pretty." Ace said.
"How much are the earrings?" Dawn asked Julia.
"Don't worry about it this time." Julia smiled.
Dawn smiled hearing that.
"Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow for the party?" Julia asked.
"Okay, and be sure your ready for the surprise okay?" Ray smiled to her.
"I will be." Julia smiled back.
"With that after Dawn placed the earrings in a box they walked off after bidding Julia bye.
"I wonder what the others are doing." Double Iris mentioned.
"Let's head back home, and see?" Ray smiled.
"Right." Dawn nodded.
They walked back home at that. They arrived just in time to hear an explosion. Hearing that they ran.
When they arrived they saw Yuya on his back with a smirking Purple Poison.
"Sorry Yuya, but it looks like you lose this time." Purple Poison smirked. "We Fusion specialists haven't been sitting around and my dragon combines the best of both mechanics."
"You okay Yuya?" Dawn asked him.
Yuya sat up. "Yeah... I'm ok, but wow those new cards Declan made are really powerful. I'm a little jealous to be honest."
"You can ask him to make you some." Ray told him.
"I'll think about it." Yuya nodded. "Well, I'll see you guys later."
"See ya." Double Iris smiled.
Yuya nodded walking off as Ace smiled. "Sandy's present looks super pretty."
Dawn handed him the box. Ace smiled. "I need to wrap it up and make it pretty for when I give it to her."
Dawn gave him a kiss on his forehead at that. Ace smiled only to yawn. 'Picnic's make me sleepy."
"Tired Acey?" Dawn smiled.
Ace nodded but had a smile. "We get to stay with big sis White Wing though."
"And we will have quite a night." White Wing smiled.
Ace giggled happily at that. Dawn softly tickled his shoulders. Ace smiled at that.
Meanwhile at LID...
Declan, Sarah, Henrietta, Yusho, Seto Kaiba, and another young man were in Declan's office. Sarah like White Wing, and Blue Frost is also pregnant as they discussed things.
"So the preparations will be finished in one week?" Kaiba asked.
"Yes it will." Declan nodded to him.
"And you've been working with Pegasus on those cards?" Yusho asked the young man. "There's going to be enough for everyone right?"
"Me, and Mr. Pegasus had been making sure this will be a big release." the young man replied.
"Then it's settled, in one week we'll make the announcement and then anyone who desires from any of the Dimensions will participate in the competition." Henrietta noted calmly.
"We sure know Ace will want to join." Sarah chuckled.
Declan smiled at that. "True."
"I'll see you all soon." the young man told them.
"Right." Yusho nodded.
They walked off as Sarah smiled, "Ace will have a great time tomorrow."
"I hope so." Declan agreed.
"Ray did tell you her surprise for him right?" Sarah asked him.
"She mentioned it." Declan nodded.
Later at night...
Ace was sleeping with a smile on his face next to White Wing and Dawn. Dawn was smiling looking to him before asking White Wing, "We really are lucky aren't we?"
"In so many ways." White Wing answered with her own smile.
Dawn then frowned looking at Ace.
"Dawn, are you still thinking about that?" White Wing asked her.
"Yeah." Dawn admitted with a nod.
White Wing gently hugged her. Dawn hugged her back before she leaned softly kissing Ace's forehead who smiled at this as Dawn softly smiled before wincing a little.
"Dawn?" White Wing asked seeing that.
"The medicine will take affect in a bit." Dawn assured as they didn't notice Ace waking up from hearing her wincing.
"Big sis... is something wrong?" Ace asked her.
Dawn looked before saying, "Oh... Just a little bit of a stomach ache."
Ace looked worried before hugging her. "Ok."
Dawn hugged him back. White Wing smiled gently seeing that.
"Thanks Acey." Dawn smiled to him.
Ace smiled hearing that.
The next morning...
"Ace? Acey?"
He shifted in his sleep and tried to pull the covers over his head. The voice giggled before pulling back the covers. It was Dawn with a blonde haired girl with red eyes. Ace's eyes widened and he turned bright red. "Sa... Sandy?"
"Happy Birthday Little Ace." Sandy smiled to him.
"Thank you." Ace smiled only to frown. "Um... big sis can I be alone for a second?"
"With her?" Dawn asked him.
"I'm still in my pajamas." Ace explained. "I have to get ready."
"Okay." Dawn nodded handing him a pair of his clothes as she, and Sandy walked out.
"Is the birthday boy awake?" Ray asked them.
"Yup. He's getting dressed." Sandy answered with a smile.
"The rest of the family should be here soon, are Mason and Bonnie able to come?" Double Iris asked.
"Mason said he's making sure his present is ready." Dawn answered.
Double Iris nodded at that.
A few minutes later Ace walked down with his hair brushed wearing a dark blue buttoned shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
"Aw you look handsome Acey." Ray told her son with a smile.
Ace smiled at that before walking over. "Thank you for coming Sandy."
Sandy smiled back before starting to mess with his hair. Ace pouted and tried to pull away. "Stop it Sandy."
"What? I like your hair better that way." Sandy smiled finishing up.
Ace blushed. "Oh... um, ok then."
Sandy giggled at this before kissing him. Ace turned red at that causing Ray, White Wing, and Blue Frost to giggle.
"Aw how cute." Blue Frost smiled at this.
Ace shook his head before smiling and talking with Sandy and Dawn as the doorbell rang. White Wing answered seeing it was Declan, Sarah, Riley, Casey, Skip, Yusho, Yoko, Yuya, Zuzu, Stacy, and Tate.
"Hey guys." White Wing smiled to them before smiling at the blonde haired girl in Sarah's arms, "And an extra hi to you Amanda."
Amanda looked up at her and smiled. "Ace?"
"He's inside. Please come in." White Wing smiled to them.
They nodded walking in as Stacy walked over. "Happy Birthday Ace."
"Hi big sis, everyone." Ace smiled to them.
"How have you been?" Tate asked with a smile.
"Doing good Uncle Tate." Ace smiled to him.
Sandy hugged him from behind smiling. Ace blushed but smiled.
"I know it's a little early, but do you want your present?" Zuzu asked him.
"What is it?" Ace asked her.
Zuzu handed Ace a small wrapped box. Ace opened it up. Inside was a small music box.
"Whoa." Ace said amazed.
"It doesn't play anything yet, but I thought you could put a song you like in it." Zuzu explained.
Sandy kissed his cheek with a smile. Ace smiled.
Later...
Knock Knock Knock
Ace walked over and opened the door. It was a brown haired boy with an older blonde haired girl.
"Mason, Bonnie!" Ace smiled seeing them.
"Happy Bday little Dude." the girl, Bonnie, grinned to him.
Ace smiled only to pause. "Mason... did you have good dreams last night?"
"Yeah." Mason nodded with a smile.
Ace smiled hearing that. "Yay."
"We encountered the rest of the guys on the way. They said they'll be here in a bit." Bonnie told him.
Ace nodded at that. "Ok."
"Your mom said she, and Mr. Akaba has a big surprise for you today." Mason admitted to him, "Do you know what it is by now?"
Ace shook his head. "Nope."
Suddenly his eyes widened. "Big bro Double Iris, where's aunt Julia?"
"She's getting a few things from her daddy's shop." Double Iris answered.
Ace nodded blushing.
"Acey, she wants to say Happy Birthday." White Wing smiled to him.
Ace smiled walking over and kissed her stomach. "Thank you."
He felt a gentle kick as White Wing smiled, "Ace, what would you want to name her?"
"Huh, isn't it the mommy's job to name her baby?" Ace asked.
"Yeah, but I want you to say what would you think." White Wing explained with a smile.
Ace nodded before pausing. "Um... I don't know."
He felt a gentle kick at that as White Wing giggled. Ace smiled at that. Blue Frost smiled seeing this before turning back to cooking.
Later that day:
The rest of the family arrived with Rin also pregnant, and a dirty blonde haired boy with Yuri, Celina, Sora, and Lilly.
"I think we're ready to head outside guys." Zarc mentioned.
"Good timing cause the food is ready." Blue Frost smiled to them.
With that everyone walked outside. Bonnie, Stacy, Zarc, Black Fang, Blue Frost, and the dirty blonde haired boy had all brought the food out to the large table outside.
"Where's Ace?" Luna asked.
Sandy hearing that looked around before calling, "Acey!"
"Yeah?" Ace called back.
"Come out here!" Sandy called to him.
Ace ran over.
"There's the birthday boy." Luna smiled.
"What were you doing still inside?" Leo asked him.
"Waiting for aunt Julia." Ace answered.
"She's here though." Double Iris told him with Julia beside him.
Ace blinked. "How did I miss you aunt Julia?"
"Ah let's not worry about that." Julia smiled to him.
Ace nodded before blushing. "Um... do you have the pretty earrings?"
"Actually Dawn has." Julia said as Dawn smiled handing the box to Ace.
Ace blushed taking them. "Um... Sandy?"
"Yeah Acey?" Sandy turned to him.
Ace was blushing slightly. "Here, this is for you."
Sandy blinked taking the box, and opened it only to gasp.
"I asked if aunt Julia could help me get something pretty for you. Oh, I picked them though... big sis sent a picture for me to see." Ace explained.
Sandy smiled to him before embracing him, "Can you help me put them on?"
Ace's eyes widened. "Um... I don't know how."
"I'll show ya." Sandy smiled to him.
Ace nodded. "Ok."
Ray smiled seeing this before telling Blue Frost, "Blue Frost, he's having a great time already."
"Yeah, he is." Blue Frost smiled.
"It makes me more excited to see his reaction for the surprise." Ray said to her with a smile.
"When should we reveal it?" Blue Frost asked.
"In a little bit." Ray answered.
Blue Frost nodded at that. Sandy was guiding Ace how he should do it.
"Um... ok, so now I do this?" Ace asked nervously as he put the earring in Sandy's ear slowly.
"Real carefully." Sandy told him.
Ace nodded before carefully hoping Sandy put the earrings in. "Big sis, did I do it right?"
"Yeah that's it." Dawn smiled to him.
Ace smiled at that before looking at Sandy. "Yeah, they look super pretty with your pretty red eyes."
Sandy smiled kissing his nose before turning her head for Ace to put on the second one. Ace smiled while carefully putting the earring on. Sandy smiled after he put the other on, "I love them Acey."
Ace smiled as Sandy kissed his cheek as Ray walked over, "Ace?"
"Yes mommy?" Ace asked with a smile.
"Are you ready for your surprise?" Ray smiled to him.
"Surprise?" Ace asked in confusion. "Ok mommy."
Ray handed him a birthday card. Ace's eyes widened as he opened the card. As he did a photo slipped out as he picked it up showing what looks like an Ultrasound photo of a small dot.
"Huh, mommy?" Ace asked seeing it. "What's this?"
"Read the card." Ray smiled as Ace looked.
It reads:
"Happy Birthday Big Brother! Your the greatest, and wish you a good Birthday!"
Then it shows Ray's handwriting, "Congratulations Acey. It's your turn."
Ace looked at the card for a few seconds before dropping it with his eyes wide open. "Mommy...?"
At that Ray took his hand, and place it on her stomach. Ace's eyes widened even more before he cried out in excitement. Hearing that everyone looked over to see what's going on. Ace had a huge smile and was hugging Ray. Ray chuckled hugging him back.
"I can't wait." Ace giggled.
"Looks like he heard the news." Blue Frost smiled to White Wing.
"Guess so." White Wing nodded.
