At Royal Woods Elementary School, we see kids getting themselves ready for class. We then see a van called Vanzilla pull up. Driving the car was a woman named Rita Loud and in the car were her four of six kids
Lori an 8-year-old girl with short blonde hair a blue shirt and tan shorts, Leni a 7-year-old girl with light blonde a teal green blouse and white sunglasses on her head, Luna a 6-year-old with long brown hair a dark purple shirt and light purple skirt, and Luan a 5-year-old girl with brown hair in pigtails and a white shirt and yellow skirt.
The girls were excited for their first day back to school, well except for Luna. She's a shy little girl and nervous to be around people. She doesn't know anyone, and the start of first grade makes her even more nervous. She would rather be home and play with her baby brother then face something new.
Rita parked Vanzilla and looked at her kids, "Alright girls, we're here. Ready for school?" Rita asked.
Lori nodded, "We are Mommy and don't worry, I'll keep an eye on my sisters," Lori said.
Rita smiled, "Thanks Lori, now off you go girls, I love you," The girls got out of Vanzilla and headed to the school. Rita was about to drive off until she noticed in the mirror that Luna was still in the car looking very nervous, "Luna, your sisters already went inside. Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Rita asked.
Luna shook her head, "I don't wanna go mommy, I'm scared! Can't I just stay home and play with Linky?" Luna asked.
Rita looked at her third eldest daughter, "Luna, I know you wanna spend time with Lincoln, but your father is keeping an eye on him and Lynn, you'll see him after school," Rita explain.
Luna got even more nervous, "But what if the kids here are mean and might hurt me?" Luna asked nervously.
Rita sighed, "Luna, that won't happen. I know your scared and nervous, but this is good for you. You might make some friends and you might have fun. Please Luna, give it a chance," Rita said.
Luna was still nervous, but she took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay mommy, I'll try and give it a chance. I hope I make friends," Luna said.
Rita smiled, "That's my girl! Now go on, and catch up with your sisters," Rita said.
Luna nodded and got out of the car, as her mom drove off. Luna looked at the school and she looked more nervous, but she breathes in and out then headed inside the school and followed her sisters.
At the same time, a light blue car drove up to the school driven by a woman with blonde hair with some blue dye as well. Her name was Alyson S. Sharp and with her is her 6-year-old daughter, Sam and she looks excited.
Alyson looked at her daughter, "Alright Sam, this is it your first day in school in a new town, are you ready for this?" Alyson asked.
Sam nodded furiously, "Yes I am! I can't wait to meet some new friends, I feel like I'm gonna puke or burp or maybe a verp, you know a vomit and a burp together; you can taste it and it's rising up, oh this is so exciting!" Sam said enthusiastically.
Alyson chuckled at her daughter's excitement, "Okay Sam, I know your excited but calm down. Now listen, I want you to be good, stay out of trouble, and listen to your teacher, but most importantly have fun," Alyson said.
Sam smiled and hugged her mom, "Okay Mommy, I love you. I'll see you soon." Sam said.
Sam then got out of the car and her mom drove away. Sam put on a determine look with a smile and rushed into the school, ready to start the day.
(Hours later)
At recess, we see kids playing outside in the school playground and Luna was sitting on the swings all by herself while her sisters are playing with their friends. Luna tried making friends, but every time she tried to talk to a kid, she got shy and walked away.
Luna sighed in despair and looked down in sadness thinking that she won't make any friends until someone approached her.
"Excuse me?" Luna turned to see a girl her age with blonde hair blue shirt and purple shorts near the swing next to her with a smile on her face, "Hi, my name is Sam what's your name?" Sam asked.
"Luna," Luna answered shyly.
Sam smiled, "Well it's nice to meet you Luna, is this swing taken?" Sam asked.
Luna shook her head, "No, you can sit there," Luna said.
Sam sat on the swing and looked at Luna, "Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I saw that you were sad and I wanna see if you were okay," Sam said.
Luna sighed, "It's okay you're not bothering me. I'm just nervous being here, everything is just so new and it kinda makes me shy and scared," Luna said.
Sam puts a hand on Luna's shoulder, "Hey, it's okay to be shy and scared about new things. I was like that when I moved here with my Mommy and Daddy, but my Mommy told me that even though your shy, there might be others who might be as shy as you are, and you might make friends out of them," Sam said.
Luna was inspired by what Sam said and she started to feel less nervous and shy, "Wow that's really good advice, I should give that advice to my little brother someday, thanks," Luna said.
Sam smiled, "No problem, Luna and you know something, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship," Sam said smiling.
Luna smiled back, but also feeling a little flustered by Sam's smile, but she doesn't pay attention to it and just enjoyed spending time with her new friend.
(After school)
School has finally ended, and the kids went outside and waited for their parents. Luna and Sam were walking out together and talking.
"So, you have four sisters and a baby brother?" Sam asked in shock
Luna nodded, "Yep, though I kinda like spending time with my baby brother, Lincoln, I kinda have a bond with him," Luna said.
Sam was shocked by that, "Wow, that's amazing! I sure wish I had a little brother," Sam said.
Luna looked at her new friend, "Don't worry Sam, I'm sure you might get a baby brother someday," Luna said.
"Really?" Sam asked.
"Really, really," Luna said.
Sam smiled, "Thanks Luna. Hey, do you think we can have a playdate on Friday at your house?" Sam asked.
Luna smiled back, "Sure, I just have to ask my Mommy and Daddy first, if it's okay," just then both girls heard a honk, and they see Vanzilla in the parking lot, "Oh that's my Mommy, I gotta go home now," Luna said.
Sam was saddened by that, "Oh, okay then but I'll see you tomorrow, Luna," Sam said hugging Luna.
"See you tomorrow, Sam," Luna hugged back.
Luna and Sam parted ways, Luna met up with her sisters and got inside Vanzilla. Rita than drove away from the school.
"So how was school, girls?" Rita asked.
Leni smiled, "School was fun! I liked our teacher, me and Lori even learned about animals DNNAR," Leni said.
Lori looked at Leni, "Um Leni, it's called DNA not DNNAR," Lori said.
"Oh, so it's spelled differently?" Leni asked.
Luan chuckled, "Well I had fun in kindergarten, I even made two new friends, Maggie and Benny, though Maggie is kinda scary looking and Benny looked kinda cute for a boy with cooties," Luan said.
Rita chuckled at that, "And what about you Luna? How was your first day of first grade?" Rita asked.
Luna smiled, "It was okay, my teacher Mrs. Futterman was really nice, and I even made a new friend too," Luna said.
"Did ya now?" Rita asked.
Luna nodded, "Yeah her name is Sam and she helped me with my shyness. Is it okay if she comes over on Friday for a playdate, please?" Luna asked.
"I don't see why not, sure," Rita agreed causing Luna to cheer.
Back where Sam is, she got into the car with her mom, and they drove off back home. Alyson can see her daughter was happier than usual.
"You seem happy, how was school?" Alyson asked.
Sam looked at her mom, "It's great! Everyone is so nice and friendly, and I made a new friend. Her name is Luna and I get to have a playdate with her on Friday!" Sam said.
Alyson smiled at that, "Well that's nice and sounds fun, but we have to let your father know about your playdate, okay?" Alyson said.
"Okay mommy," Sam said.
Sam looked out the window thinking about her new friend, while Luna was doing the same in Vanzilla and both girls were thinking the same thing.
