Foreword – The Author

I congratulate you for deeming my summary interesting enough., dear reader. 'Overlord' is naturally the intellectual property of Maruyama Kugane and I will not earn money using his ideas.

This is not the first time, I am posting this story. It has been posted before under the alias ProfBreastMilkTaster. Unfortunately I lost access to that account with fanfiction. net's faulty pw-recovery system. I had been forced to still my work as my real life education demanded my attention, but 'God is an Idiot' has always remained closest to my heart among all stories I have been writing and sometimes also posting under other aliases.

I had stopped at 13 chapters and resumed my attention a few months ago, writing two more, long chapters and, even better, found an excellent and very helpful beta-reader: ekaterina016 . If you happen to enjoy my story it is 60 % his/her/its achievement.

This story is an Alternate Universe, which will drastically drift from canon plot. Momonga is not a clueless fool, but a manipulative, honour-less villain tumbling ever closer to madness, as he discovers the sanity shattering connection between the New World and Yggdrasil and drives the powers that be to destruction.

Who would face such a god-like monster? Captain Nigun Grid Luin has to, a questionable hero from a fascist darwinian theocracy putting the phrase 'for the greater good' to the test as, he tries to save humanity from the undead fiend.

My fanfiction will not mock any particular faith but it will revolve heavily around ideas concerning spirituality and faith, and their corruption. Please keep in mind this is just a story and only propagating my glory.

What do I aim for? If the original was like the anime I want this fanfiction to be like So Bin's Overlord art. If the original was a gothic ballad with a little pop mixed in, I want this fanfiction to be a dark wave - power metal bastard.

Updates are scheduled once a month starting with 5 chapters to set the stage. Be ready for very dark humour and basically anything but rape or any kind of lemon scene. Life is really cheap to an evil god, after all and to nazis often also, too. And by the way, the holocaust and nazi genocides were real, racism will find no evidence in real science for its bias. If you can not agree on those beliefs, please enjoy another story. I feel I have to mention it, since I know more about what will happen later, than you do ;) , yet.

So go ahead and read, and remember to blink.
