So yeah, whether any of you guys that read my previous stories are reading this I've just not been able to do much writing cause of covid and illness it's honestly ate away at my time but I do plan on getting back to my fairy tail stories. I'm planning to do this first arc with Asia and Raynare as faithful as possible with my own changes obviously though without skipping too much and then as the story arcs progress depending on importance I might do the same, might not in order to get to the more relevant and progressive points.
"Honestly, I still can't believe this is happening it's just not right, but then again who am I to talk…right Catherine?" a quite unenthusiastic voice said to the woman next him. Both appeared to be of the same age, around that of 18, the young man was of average height being around '5'08 or 5'09' with what would be described as a slim muscular build but not too slim. His hair was a light brown colour and his eyes were a very light blue colour with dashes of green through them. He currently was wearing what looked like a high school uniform and he definitely wasn't pleased about it.
"Stop complaining Peter, don't go thinking you're gonna go getting any sympathy from me just cause we're childhood friends" the young woman known as Catherine replied in a pouty tone as both she and the now known Peter continued to walk along the streets. She was a few inches shorter than Peter but still roughly around average height for a girl, her overall build was petite to say the least but she it wasn't to say she was lacking in certain areas, in fact she was well balanced to suite her size and built so while still having an attractive figure it also helped physically when it came to sports.
Just like Peter she wore a uniform, which appeared to be the girl's uniform of the same one he wore, her hair was a sandy blonde colour while also being held in a long-pleated braid and the fringe came down over only the right eye and upper side of her face. Her eyes were a glassy emerald green and could probably be mistaken for said jewels.
"Hey come on I'm still trying to figure out why both our families had to move to Japan when both of us literally only know the bare minimum basics in Japanese to begin with; the old man said it was something to do with better financial opportunities but rats to that now we're both being held back a year to improve our Japanese come on I'm supposed to be a final year…. aaahhh this sucks!" Peter angrily ranted as he rapidly scratched his head before he let out a sigh "well guess there's nothing we can do about now considering we're here…Kuoh Academy" he followed as the pair halted in front of a what seemed quite fancy for a high school while dozens upon dozens of students walked past them wondering who they were and why they hadn't seen them around before.
"It looks like an awfully high-end institution just for a high school don't you think Peter?" she asked in nervous manner while gripping onto the sleeve of his blazer making the two appear a lot closer than they were to those around them. "Heh, great we haven't even registered for the year yet and we're already attracting attention on day one" Peter said aloud to no one in particular in a sarcastic tone. The two then continued on to the enrolment office and as they arrived, they were relieved to find a woman sitting at her desk that spoke English, "Ok, now that you've enrolled for the school year our next step is an assessment" the service lady explained causing the pair to simultaneously tilt their heads. "Sorry you mustn't have been informed, both your parents told the school that you were taught in basic Japanese language however, by school rules we need to assess you to determine what your current skill level" she continued on explaining resulting in an 'oh crap' look on Peter's to appear clear as day.
"Now if you'll both follow me please, oh my goodness I haven't introduced myself yet; my name is Maria Quinn but I'm only an assistant so just Maria will do" the finally introduced Maria said while trying to making herself appear as hip as possible. "Wait, Quinn does that mean you're from Ireland too?" Catherine Asked excitedly at the aspect of meeting someone from her homeland so quickly upon moving, giving a nod and big cheesy grin in response almost caused Catherine to giggle with excitement. "You got it, I'm only out here in Japan to get some experience in the different regions as well as site seeing a little but originally, I'm from county Cork" Maria explained as they started walking down the hallway to the assessment talking about Gaelic Football and Hurling and how they missed the very lifeblood of the nation.
Next Period (After Marking)
"Man, something interesting needs to happen quick, it's been so boring lately" an average jo looking kid with brown hair said in such a dramatic tone it was as if there was nothing left to live for before slamming his head off his desk, however it was just an act he was putting on. "Yeah bro I totally hear you, we're second years already and none of us have managed to even to get a flash never mind get with a girl" another average jo said, his only definable feature being the skin-head hair-cut. Upon hearing this and not giving a crap that he and his friends were in a classroom with others, the student currently sucking face with the desk apparently somehow gained some new spurt of energy.
"I refuse to just give, for I have a dream and I shall not give up until that dream is reality, that I Issei Hyodou become a harem king!" The self-proclaimed Issei Hyodou shouted causing all the other boys in his class bar his two best friend Matsuda and Motohama to burst out laughing at them while the girls just looked at him in disgust like he was the lowest of the low.
"I stand by what I said" Issei said proudly though many would argue after such a statement can one even be proud. "Don't bother with your trivial death stares and threats, none of us will stop until we've managed to grope at least a pair of breasts; you might think us disgusting sad creatures but deep down isn't that what all men truly want?" Motohama said while pushing his glasses further back up his face trying to make himself look cool as he said the stupidest crap ever. Before any further comments could be made the door to the classroom slid open and the teacher called for everyone to take their seats.
"Alright everyone please be seated turns out we've gotta some new transfer students" the teacher let the class know resulting in a bit of ruckus and excitement throughout the classroom, Issei and his friends typically started hoping for the best outcome "I hope she's a hot babe with giant knockers"everyone could literally see it plastered over their faces. "That's enough, ok both of you come on in and introduce yourselves" the teacher directed towards the door before both Catherine and Peter entered the room with Catherine immediately catching the perverted trio's line of site. Just fresh from their assessment, Catherine and Peter put their newly tested Japanese to the test with Catherine deciding to go first.
"Hi, my name's Catherine McCrystal I'm originally from Ireland but I had to move here to Japan because of my families work situation, I'm still pretty new to the area and don't know my way around yet so I'm hoping we can be friends" Catherine said while giving her best cheery smile causing an uproar from both the boys and the girls "SHE'S TOO CUTE!" they both shouted as it felt like the boys had been shot through the heart while the girls were just astonished at her overall look and how she carried herself.
"Right yeah I'm more or less in the same position, my name's Peter Donnelly and I'm from Ireland too, I've transferred to Kuoh to suit my parent's business needs that's more or less everything" Peter summed up as drearily as possibly making such a contrast to Catherine even to such a point that the teacher was a little taken back by how straight forward to the point he was. "Ok then does anyone have any questions for your new fellow students?" the teacher asked her class before every hand in the room shot up.
"Ok then Issei let's start with you" the teacher said without considering who she'd just picked, "Ok, umm… Catherine are you by any chance single?" the pervert king asked with hope in his eyes. "Yeah, I was gonna ask that too, I seen you two guys walk in together are you going out?" one of the girls followed up on Issei's question but before any answer could be made by Peter; Catherine had already swooped in to do so. "Actually, yes we are" she admitted shocking everyone, Peter included, the brazen outward nature of such a statement caused the girls to squeal at the thought and causing the boys to cry out "IT'S NOT FAIR!" at the fact there was never going to be a chance to begin with.
"We were childhood friends since as far back as we can remember so it was only natural that we grew closer and closer to the point a relationship blossomed" Catherine continued to explain in what only Peter would recognise as her teasing tone, "Is it true are you guys really going out?" one of the girls excitedly shouted finally hoping for some excitement only for the prospect to immediately be smothered by Catherine "Nope, just kidding" she replied barely able to keep her sides from splitting when she seen everyone's faces.
"Seriously you're just gonna pull something like that on me without warning?" Peter asked in a very unimpressed tone causing Catherine to giggle before replying "but of course, that's only everyday carry one for us" she said in a coy manner while winking. "Ok that's enough, you two find some empty seats and take them" the teacher said finally stepping in to get class underway. While both Peter and Catherine could understand that yes, while they needed to top up their Japanese literacy and language skills; they automatically assumed that those would be the only courses they'd be doing but as it turns out they have to do everything on prospectus but when thinking about it, if they wanted to attend university this was probably the best course of action now in their current circumstances.
Later after class
"Well that all sucked the hairy big one" Peter moaned out as he reluctantly got up from his desk to move on to the next class when he suddenly felt an arm being slung around his shoulders, "Yo bro how's it hangin'? as you already know the names Issei Hyodou, heard what you said earlier and I guess I'd guess I'd be willing to help you out" Issei said trying to act all cool but instead coming across as a complete douche. "Can you tell me why you're acting like some douche anime character?" Peter replied looking completely perplexed at how this guy had just started talking to him out of the blue.
"Uuuggghhh so yeah looks like you seen through me, it was all an act" a very panicky Issei replied trying to come up with some answer on the spot. "But regardless, if you're hoping to make friends with the class allow me to be the first" Issei said happily as he held out his hand appearing to have no ulterior motives on the outside, …but… "this is perfect, I can totally use this guy to introduce me to the new girl and then goodbye virginity!" Issei's pervert mind was masterfully working away to create a plan to pull this off without suspicion while his actual academic mind was working at minimal capacity, hence why his grades were barely enough to get him through last year.
Not thinking he had any ulterior motives Peter took Isseis' hand, "Alright I hope we can be good friends Peter" Issei said with a cheesy grin, "Likewise Issei" Peter simply replied in a kind tone. Despite the fact that he knew that every student in the school was gonna be younger than him by a year or two he also knew there was no reason they couldn't be friends.
"Hey I know I'll introduce you to my pals" Issei said snapping Peter back to reality now noticing Issei motioning for his two friends to come over, both appeared to be average looking high schoolers with their only discernible features being one having a skin shaven hair cut and the other wearing a pair of glasses that had big chunky lenses to the point where you couldn't make out his eyes. "So yeah, this Matsuda and the guy with the glasses is Motohama" Issei quickly introduced his pals.

"How's it going"
"Hey you lot get a move on or you're going to be late to your next class!" the teacher shouted before any response could be made, "oh crap she's right let's book it!" Issei shouted as the group took off with Peter just following along as he had no idea what or where next class was. "Hey what class are we even supposed to be in now?" Peter asked curiously as the group walked along the hallway, "oh, well today is Tuesday so we'll have Physics now, then Geography before dinner" Matsuda said at least shedding a bit of light on the day.
Upon entering the classroom, the group got the stink-eye from the teacher who was currently seated in his chair rhythmically tapping his fingers off the desk, he was an elderly gentleman but to the students still came across as quite intimidating. "I don't want no excuses just grab your seats so this lesson can get underway" the teacher said in a rather cross tone which all four caught onto immediately. This class Peter thankfully found himself a desk beside Catherine, while he thought it was nice to have friends in Isseis and the others on day one, he still didn't know them all that well so until lunch/dinner time he'd wait to ask about them.
Lunch/Dinner Time
Seeing that Catherine was already hitting it off with the other girls in the class, Peter took the chance now at lunch to get to know his new friends. As they sat at the table together Peter noticed how he was receiving odd stares from everyone although not all were directed at him, most in fact were directed towards his three new friends. "So, guys tell me about yourselves, I mean it might be useful to know more about you than just your names, right?" Peter suggested causing his three fellow students to look at one another and nod before looking back at him. They then simultaneously said replied "We are true connoisseurs of women" and of course they did so proudly, thankfully no one other Peter heard them this time.
"In other words, you're perverts" were Peter's initial thoughts running through his head, "right I think I understand what you're saying" he then replied and immediately Issei's, Matsuda's and Motohama's faces lit up, "At last a comrade in our great cause, someone who finally realises that we're only human and that as humans we're only acting upon our nature!" Issei prattled on trying to pull off some sort of heroic tone while doing so but failing desperately in the process. "woah, now I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a connoisseur of women" Peter tried to argue not wanting to earn the label of pervert throughout the school.
Then with a smirk Matsuda pipped up, "not to worry my friend everyone starts somewhere and you have the best of the best to teach you, why our very own Motohama has a secret ability that he's been working on although it isn't perfect yet" Matsuda said which actually peaked Peter's interest, "when you say special ability, what exactly are you referring to?" he questioned cautiously. "With those very glasses he can measure all measurement of a girl" Matsuda pervishly said causing Peter to almost face plant his meal, "You can't be serious?" he asked already knowing there wasn't any point in even asking.
"Oh, but in fact we are, I can prove it for you if you'd like?" Motohama responded with a pervy smirk plastered over his face, "nah, I think I'll believe you for now so let's wait to another time" Peter replied faster than he'd ever spoke before. "So other than being 'connoisseurs' what else do I need to know about you guys?" He then followed up curiously, "nothing at all, as a group that functions as one that is all you need to know" Issei answered with a grin as they were finishing up their food.
"Looks like it's nearly time to head to class again, honestly sometimes I really don't know how I manage to make it through each day here; the only thing keeping me going is the sweet sumptuous bodies of Rias and Akeno" Issei mentioned as the group got up from the table. "Rias and Akeno, who are they?" Peter asked curiously as he had come across next to no names of other students. "Oh, right you're new here so you wouldn't know, Rias and Akeno are both upper classmen, they're both third years and are by far the sexiest girls in the school in terms of looks and what they're packing in the bodily department" Issei explained, the excitement and enthusiasm clear in his voice. "Oh their the same as me" Peter mumbled, "huh what was that Peter?" Issei curiously asked getting the attention of Matsuda and Motohama.
"Oh, I was just saying to myself that their third years like me, or like how I was since I'm being held back cause of this move" Peter explained in a plain tone, "wait so you and Catherine are a year older than us?" Issei wanted to confirm only to quickly get it in the form of a nod. "At any rate it's statistics next so let's get a move on, I'd rather not get another scolding for being late heh" Peter responded with a heavy sigh before he and the other made their way to class, on the way Peter thought to himself "Something tells me hanging out with these guys is going to be the end of me".

So yeah, this was just was a feeler for me to get in the right rhythm so to speak for writing, will put up a few chapters to see how well it does to begin with first and then take it from there or it may just end up being something for my own pleasure.
