The first moment Gil shows up to the office, he feels different and yet this place feels the exact same. He thinks that he may not know those working here, but the same things are still being done- prints run, ballistics checked, fibers examined, nothing has changed.

He rounds the corner and can't help but smile. Everything is just the way he left it. He sees Judy, but everyone else is off doing other things at the moment. He runs into a rather excited young CSI who seems to know him, but he has no concept of who this person is. She goes away quickly and his mind comes back to him. Remembering that he will have to see Sara again- for the first time since the divorce. He didn't know how he left about the situation or the divorce for that matter, but he knew he wasn't going to have a choice. He attempted to mentally steady himself not knowing when he would see her.

Sara picks up the phone, "You've been hard to get ahold of…" He flashes through that final conversation before he sends her the papers realizing their marriage was over. Sadly, he ruined it. He hurt her and he knew that he shouldn't be jealous if she moved on and found someone else. He ended their marriage and he should suffer the consequences.

Looking down the hall, he sees Sara for the first time. His heart quickens at the sight of her. His palms start to sweat like a teenager and he attempts to calm himself.

Sara sees him and stops. "Gil." He doesn't say anything to her just stares, at a loss for words. "Mama!" Gil turns and sees a little 4 year old boy running towards Sara. His heart almost stops beating in his chest. The boy has her eyes, beautiful sandy blonde curls, and a small cleft chin. Gil looks at the boy and sees pictures of himself as a child. This boy this small boy looks like him. He's speechless.

She bends down and says, "hey baby! What are you doing here?" She sees Jack trailing after the boy. "He wanted to see you before we went to school today." Sara replies, "ahh I see sweet one" She smiles and the boy smiles back at her with a small giggle. He hugs her tightly.

Sara looks back at Gil and sees his face. He's confused and has so many questions written all over his face. Sara purses her lips knowing she is going to have to answer them this time. She was hoping to keep Henry away long enough that Gil wouldn't see him.

"Henry!" Nik and DB smile and the boy runs to them as they embrace him. Gil looks stunned once again. DB being observant, sees the impending conversation and looks at Sara "hey we got him, take my office." Sara nods and looks at Gil and gestures for him to follow her into his old office.

She closes the door behind them. "I know you probably have a lot of questions…" She trails off, waiting for him to say something. Gil stands there stunned unable to speak for a few minutes. Sara attempts to give him time to process everything. He sits in the chair behind him and attempts to compose himself. Gil's mind races is this my boy? how could she not tell me? when did this happen? how is this happening? He breathes heavily before opening his mouth. "He's beautiful, Sara." She sighs and smiles slightly with that smile that makes him crazy, "yes he really is." She sees him playing with Nik and DB happy that her inquisitive little boy is not present for this conversation. Gil attempts to spit out the question he wants to ask. "Sara… Sara is he my boy?" Sara closes her eyes and purses her lips again. She breathes out and nods ever so slightly. Gil sees the nod and breathes out. He's reeling in his mind. He quickly spits out many questions, he's upset and sad and scared. "what's his name? when did he happen? who is Jack?"

Sara paused. "I knew you would have a lot of questions so let me try and explain. His name is Henry Arthur Sidle." Gil about buckled under his own body. Sara continued "If I have my timing right, he was conceived on the last trip I took to Peru to see you. I didn't know I was pregnant until I was three months in; long after we both signed divorce papers. I kept him because we both always wanted a child and I wasn't willing to let him go even if you were willing to let me go." Gil winced knowing how much he had hurt her; she continued her tale quietly. "I asked the team to keep it a secret from you. I didn't know what you would do so it just got easier to keep it from you. I didn't want Henry to get hurt more than anything. He's my world and I love him so very much. Jack is one of my old foster brothers. He moved in when Henry was a few months old as a friend to help me take care of him and he also found a job in the area. He and his boyfriend love Henry and I appreciate having them around our little family."

Gil tried to steady himself. It was like the air was absent from his lungs and he kept trying to breathe even though it burned. His lungs burned but so did his eyes. He wanted to cry more than anything. He was sad that she thought she couldn't tell him about their boy. He was so lost knowing that he was a father and he didn't even know it. He stuttered "what… what is he like?"

Sara smiled "He's so smart. Oh Gil he's such a smart boy. He loves dinosaurs and bugs and he loves to laugh. His favorite food is chicken nuggets and he keeps me up all night with his laughs and experiments. Once he tried to catch a bee and bring it in the house." She chuckled "we had to tell him why that wasn't a good idea and I'm not sure that will be the last time he tries that little trick." She sighed "he has a smile that could light up a room. He's sweet and he loves those he cares about so fiercely already."

Sara stops speaking before saying in almost a whisper, "Say something. anything." She has no idea how he's processing this. It's so much in a single conversation to try and deal with. She's mostly worried that somehow Henry will get hurt.

Gil paused. He looked up at her with tears in his eyes, "Sara can I meet him? Will you let me see him?"
