FORWARD LETTER

SALUTATIONS -

Good Day!

First off, I hope everybody had a safe holiday and a Happy New Year!

The purpose of this letter is to inform the reader on what to expect from this story.

RATING -

First and foremost - MANGA SPOILERS!

This story was originally rated M, but then switched to T.

There will be no slash, smut, or ships.

Even if a few interactions suggest shipping, it is not my intention.

However, the intensity and detail to injuries, violence, medical practices, and the incorporation of personal real life experiences and emotion to these scenarios must be considered.

While I'm not an expert in the medical field, I have worked for several years in the medical field and have taken courses. I have utilized my knowledge accurately to the best of my ability.

When I read the Manga, Bakugo does not wake up until two days later from the fight with the Paranormal Liberation Front. I was aware that that means he was sedated/in a medically induced coma in the ICU for a few days due to complications from surgery or the injuries, or both. I know people in real life that were rushed into emergency abdominal surgery and brain surgery, and they were conscious several hours later. So, the extent of Bakugo's injuries is severe.

I had to evaluate where Bakugo got hit at, the damage it would cause to his body by the force he was impaled at, and the best way that damage would have to be repaired. I also had to factor in Bakugo's quirk, and that added a really interesting layer to Bakugo's character that I have never considered before.

So, in short, this story is best suited for an emotionally mature audience.

TITLE -

The story's title might change. I cannot, for the love of God, decide.

Originally, the title was The Kacchan I Caught Frogs With, and at the time I had writer's fatigue. I also found myself angry at the direction of MHA after the Paranormal Liberation Front arc, and gained several ideas in my head, and now I've adopted this project as a fun hobby.

But, as this story evolved, I started to consider Colored Red as the title - but now I might change it back to the Kacchan I Caught Frogs With.

MISC -

That's mostly it.

Midoriya actually won't be featured much in this story. If you are expecting a chapter with him, there won't be. He's at the beginning and the end of the story, but not in the middle.

Midoriya is actually really pissing me off as a protagonist right now. Bakugo and Class 1-A have much better potential.

I just hate that the rogue Midoriya arc skipped Bakugo and Class 1-A's perspectives. There were some great things the writers could've done with that.

I write character POVs based off of the best access to content and information.

In the case of this first chapter, the POV is mostly through Iida.

Oh, yes, and the timeline is extended. Story starts on March 14th and ends sometime in early-mid June.

There are additions to this story and characters that are from my own creative freedom.

I still keep up with the Manga, even if some things irritate me.

Turns out, the author just announced that MHA will be concluded in a year from now.

We also know who the traitor is now, and that might factor in towards the end of this story.

Also, the movies will be left out of this story.

The events of the Manga proceeding the Paranormal Liberation Front will be loosely followed - this story has taken a form of it's own, so things will be different from what happened in the Manga.

This story will be far more serious and darker.

One last thing - I have decided to up Class 1-A's ages by one year, because I realized Shouto turns 15 on Jan 11 in the manga, but Bakugo turns 16 on April 20th, so I could not fathom that Shouto was 14 years old this entire time.

I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE THE CHAPTER OUT BY CHRISTMAS - BUT THE HOLIDAYS GOT REALLY BUSY
